I think maybe a battle between the shinigami and another group (Arrancars possibly) over a power item that both have recently heard of. I'm not sure what that could be, but we can flesh out more.

Also I was thinking maybe we could get word that a traitor is within our ranks and we try to figure out who it is.

That sucks I say we stick to Strafe's idea; however I think the rogue soul reaper could be useful for a plot

I like the Shinigami Civil War idea as well.

If you want to do something that might break away from some tropes of most Bleach RPs and yet sticks to them, here is a little bit of an interesting idea.

Okay. We all know that some humans can effectively see humans. Well. Here is what do with that information combined into an effective RP story. The humans that have been able to see the soul reapers, hollows, arrancar, and the others that are combined amongst themselves to develop a tech that allows people who normally cant see them to suddenly be able to see them. Even if its just faint images. And to make matters worse, this device (if built in a much larger scale like a radio tower) can emit waves to allow people over a large area to see them.

Now. After they discover all this, humans begin to believe that the reasons the hollows are here is because of the soul reapers. So they begin construction of yet another device, one that . . . well. Should never exist. The device basically does one thing. It destroys both Hueco Mundo and the Sereitei (probably spelled that wrong).

Upon discovering this device, all forces want to remove it from human hands upon its completion or even mid progress. However, there is no alliance drawn, because both sides still know the device can be used to kill the other side . . . for good (if the device even works mind you).

Now. You can fiddle with this idea as you see fit, use it as is, or turn it down completely. I don't care either way. I just thought it would be a good idea.

I agree with Blossom's idea, its well fleshed out and taps more into something that many don't explore, which is the reaction of humans to finding out about the existance of the hollows and shinigami.
