Personality: Yane is soft-spoken, very rarely raising her voice, and somewhat shy. She doesn't mind random chatter, but she must consider one a friend before she talks about anything personal. The one exception to this is pokemon, since she is always willing to trade tips and ideas. Yane is a loyal friend, to both humans and pokemon, who have proved themselves worthy of said loyalty. She does have a very long memory, and will not forget the good deeds or wrongs done to her. Yane is extremely patient, years of dealing with all her siblings and cousins taught her that. This does not mean, however, that she lacks a temper. It just takes longer for her temper to snap, and when it does you should be prepared for a storm.
Back Story:
-Yane is the 10th and youngest sibling, and many more cousins, aunts and uncles besides.
-Among her family Yane is teased for being "directionally challenged", and it is very much true. She can get lost just a short distance from home. Never mind the fact she grew up there and wandered those streets all her life. Yane still gets lost.
-Yane much prefers to watch and breed pokemon to battling them. That's not to say she won't battle, but it is a rare thing for her to do. Usually taking much bullying/begging/bribery before she agrees. It is a very rare thing for Yane to request a battle out of the blue.
-Yane's parents own a ranch on the Pilkiras Plain where the raise Ponyta and Rapidash. They also have a few Miltank to produce milk, both for their own use and to trade with other farmers and ranchers in the area.
-Several of her aunts and uncles have ranches and farms too, some scattered around Zatao, but most have immigrated to other regions to set up their farms, ranches or other businesses. These family members come back to visit when they can, or Yane and her family go to visit.
-The ranch neighboring Yane's parent's property is owned by a family friend and they raise Tauros. Yane would spend hours just watching the Tauros herd. Observing how they interact with each other, people and other pokemon. She never quite got up the courage to go visit them, even when the owner would invite her over. Tauros are huge and there never seemed to be a single bull alone.
-Several weeks ago Yane had left her parent's ranch to start her pokemon journey. Being 20 it is a late start but not her first try. Her first try was shortly after her 11th birthday and Yane became so lost that when she finally got home she decided to stay. Add to that the fact that the pokemon her brother lent her had fainted - with no Pokemon Center in sight - and her inability to catch even the weakest pokemon pretty much killed her desire to go. This time another of her brother's had offer to loan Yane a Ponyta. One who knows and respects her almost as much as he respects his trainer. Yane was also offered the pick of any of the eggs produced by her parent's herd. She refused them all, saying she wanted to do this on her own. And she will. Eventually.
-Yane loves all hoofed pokemon, but Tauros and Ponyta are among her favorite. It is one of these two she hopes to tame first, though having been on her own for weeks Yane is getting discouraged of ever finding or taming one. Right now it is to the point where she'd be willing to borrow a pokemon and actually battle to catch a weakened pokemon. Though not quite yet, Yane is determined to try and tame a pokemon via her bribes of treats and toys. And kindness.
