Well, boys and girls, this is it. The Dark Legion has received its first contract. A wealthy shipping tycoon has recently become fed up with pirate attacks on his ships, and has contracted us to take out their base. However, there’s a catch: the pirates, fearing reprisal, have kidnapped his daughter, and are holding her hostage. So, until we get her outta there, we’ll have to hold off on going in there, guns blazing. Doing so would ensure that the girl is killed, and our contract will be voided.

So, we’ll have to make sure she doesn’t die, right? To do that, we need to get her outta there so that we can open up a can of whoop-a** on these SOBs.

The pirates operate out of this small island. It’s about a mile wide, and about ¾ a mile long. The pirates usually take the ships they capture here, where they cut them up and sell their parts. They usually just beach the ships on the shoreline and have local villagers (who are working under intimidation) cut them up with blowtorches, but for some of the newer and tougher ships, they use the ship saw shed. Think giant chainsaw that can cut a ship like a kukri through a turkey sandwich. Yeah. It’s that powerful. Its only downside is the unearthly noise it makes while cutting…which we’ll use to our advantage…..but first, let’s take a look at the major parts of the island….

A) Pirate Complex/Village.The first location is the Main Pirate Complex/Village. It consists of a number of shacks from which the villagers and pirates live, and a large building (appears to be some sort of pub) from where the pirates operate. The client’s daughter is probably being kept here.
B) Ship Breaking Yard. This is where the pirates run their captured ships aground to begin the process of scrapping. Lots of open space here, so it would be best to avoid this area in case of a firefight, but it’s an ideal place for a helicopter insertion/extraction.
C) Ship Graveyard. This place is just sad. As pirates captured smaller, less valuable ships, they would strip them of anything they could sell for a profit and left them there to rot. However, it does have its advantages. The patrol boat has to slow down to go through it, so it can buy valuable time if you get caught in a chase on the way out.
D) Pirate Gunboat. Don’t ask me how, but these bastards somehow got their hands on an Israeli Sa’ar Class Missile Boat. When my contacts in Israel got wind of this, they went ballistic, and gave us the opportunity to earn some extra coin by sinking it. If you guys find the time, it would be worth a shot to plant a few charges on the hull…
E) Ship Saw Shed. Ship Entered Shed. Ship Got Sliced Into Giant Metal Bread Slices Inside Shed. This is where the pirates slice apart the tougher ships. The noise that it makes is hellish, but it’s also very convenient to mask gunshots with. The saw itself takes about a minute to slice through a ship. Remember this when engaging enemies.
F) Jungle. There is a small jungle covering eastern side of the island. It’s very handy for hiding in, especially because the pirates are too afraid of snakes to go into it.
G) Lagoon. This lagoon is surrounded by jungle, and is conveniently shielded by the sunken tanker (see below ) The patrol boats don’t bother entering here, since it’s only a few feet deep, but a shallow draft RHIB can easily get through.
H) Sunken Tanker. Lo and behold, the pirates are terrible ship captains. They ran this supertanker aground while trying to get it to the breaker’s yard, and it promptly sunk faster than the bass in a dubstep song. However, it turns out that the position of the tanker conveniently shields the lagoon from currents. Better for us.
I) Patrol Boat Route. The Pirates operate a small fleet of PBRs left over from Vietnam. They’re all in terrible shape, but they still have enough left in them to make hourly patrols around the island. This could prove…problematic if you’re caught, so don’t.

So, you’re probably all wondering, “Aingel, what do we do? Pirates are scary….” Well, first, change your pants. Second, listen to me. The plan is simple. A few marines will insert via RHIB into the lagoon, avoiding the Patrol boats. The Naval vessels (to be determined by Luke) and Air Force will wait over the horizon until the girl is outta there, then they’ll come in to provide support. Once the ships come in, the Army guys will come in via chopper and assist the Marines in clearing the village of pirates. After that’s all said and done, we get outta there, and be home for lunch.
So, let’s recap….
User Image
1. Marines insert via RHIB.
2. Marines make their way through the jungle, then into the village, to the main complex, avoiding detection.
3. Marines recover VIP, and escort her to the extraction point at the breaker’s yard. Avoiding detection is encouraged, but no longer mandatory, as long as you can get her to the EZ safely.
4. Marines meet up with Army, and proceed to clear out island of pirates. Navy and Air Force will move in to provide support. Once clearance is done, RTB.

However, you see that grey line? That’s the secondary team. Their objective is that gunboat in the harbor. Their mission will be somewhat like this….

1. Secondary Force splits from main force, and heads south.
2. SF skirts southern edge of island. Be careful to avoid the patrol boats. There are numerous areas among the rocks to hide, if needed.
3. SF enters graveyard. The wrecks are handy for cover.
4. SF plants charges on boat, then heads to shore.
5. SF goes ashore and links back up with primary force to head to the extraction site. Detonate charges once VIP is out of the area.

Now, I don’t want to have to say this, but please make sure to AVOID CIVILLAIN CASUALTIES. WE ARE MERCENARIES, BUT WE HAVE MORALS. WE WE WILL NOT SINK TO THE LEVEL OF OUR ENEMIES.

Please remember to post in turn. I know the Army guys will have to wait until the Marines are ready, but please, don’t get impatient and run in. Any out-of-order posts will be deleted.

The Branch Leaders and I will be checking over your posts, helping you get used to Tier 1 RPing. We want you to get better, and the only way to do that is to cooperate.

Also……I’ll be playing as the bad guys, too…..
*evil laugh*

And let the op begin. Have fun!

Artyom

Artyom was sitting in the Armory his weapons set down on the bench and his AK-74 open so he could get a final cleaning before he was sent to the island. He lifted his AK-74 up and put the cleaning rod in the barrel and pushing it all the way through then slowly pulling it out and slapping the AK-74 back together and throwing it over his shoulder. Then grabbing the TT-33 he pulled the slide back a few times to make sure there was not a bullet left in there he then pulled it back into a locking position and pulled the trigger having the slide shoot forward made him smile a bit as he put the TT-33 in it's holster then grabbing his two knifes and grenades and putting them were they went he then turned walking out of the Armory and then into the Hanger. Once he got to the hanger he went over to a chair that the engineers left in the hanger he set his equipment down by the chair and started to wait for the mission to take off and then the dreaded wait for the wannabe Navy man to get there part of the mission done so he and the rest of the real men could get to work on there job killing every SOB that got in there way.

Thomas Pryor

Thomas was sitting in the passenger seat of the Black Hawk helicopter; he had wanted to make sure that everything would be perfect for the mission. Thomas turned to the pilot,
“Ok that’s enough for now; land it over there in front of the hanger.”
As the helicopter landed softly in front of the hanger Thomas took off his helmet and headset, he reached behind him and grabbed his M4, and step off the helicopter, he looked through the massive hanger doorway to see Artyom sitting inside the hanger. Thomas walked over to him,
“Are you ready for this mission?”
Asked Thomas, as he looked at the battle ready soldier, this made him happy to see at least one of his men was ready for combat.

Artyom

Artyom looked at the newcomer with a slight grin. "Yes sir, I'm ready to take the pirates on, that is, if our little Navy wannabe boys can do their part..." He got up and gave Thomas a salute, then glanced back at his stuff, and then sat back down and looked to the roof. "Sir, did you read the mission plans? They looked so easy, too easy...I have a feeling the s**t may hit the fan on this one..." He looked back at Thomas for a second, then grabbed his AK-74 and pointed it at a wall to check the sights.

OK, Artyom, we have work to do on your post. First off, while I appreciate your use of punctuation and capitalization, you still have predominant grammar problems. Make sure that all I's are capitalized, and that you use commas where needed. A few of your sentences are run-ons, as well. Also, you need to be more specific in your content. Say who you are talking to, even if he's the only one there, and make sure that others know exactly what you're talking about.
Here's a proofread version of your post. Keep in mind that I'm not trying to bring you down. All of this is to help you to become a top RPer.

OK, good to see you got the Tier 1 format down, but like Artyom, you have a few grammar problems to address. Make sure ALL sentences end with punctuation, and also, proper pronoun use is a must as well. Don't use your RPC's name over and over again; we'll know who you are, trust us.

Thomas watched Atryom as he looked down the sights of his AK as he laughed slightly.
“You really don’t like the marines do you? Just remember were all apart of the same unit, we don’t start want to start a small war between ourselves, they have their mission and we have ours, don’t let your point of view infringe on that.”
Thomas turned around and looked at the Black Hawk.

Thomas "Kilo" Riley

Tom, staring at the dark blue waves crashing against the hull of the battleship, sighs as he thinks of the bloodshed that will inevitably happen today. After double checking to see if anyone was watching, he pulls a small carton out of his pocket, takes a cigarette out of it, and lights it. Although it was not technically against the rules, he had promised his sniper friend, Altair, that he would quit. Figuring he was already well on his way to the island, he takes a drag and sighs contently. "I don't care if this gives me cancer when i'm 80, it relaxes me..." he says, talking to himself. After taking a long drag of it, he flicks his radio on and asks, "Hey...Admiral James, Sir." He pauses as he takes another long breath of his Marlboro, and continues saying "This girl were pulling out..whats so special about her?"

Artyom put the gun down holding it with his left hand looking back to Thomas "I don't hate them but i don't like them ether all they are is infantry the navy pulled out there a**" he said as he walked back over and set his gun down near his stuff. He then reached into his bag and grabbed two sliver flasks with the hammer and sickle on them he opened one and looked back to Thomas "Want one it's pure vodka?" he then said as he put his hand out with the closed flask in it.

Thomas smiles as he takes the flask, and then examines it closely looking at the sickle and hammer, making a note of it to himself.
“Russian, huh? Thanks for the drink. You have any ties to when the Russians were communist?”
Asked Thomas as he took a small sip from the flask, shocking him at how strong it is.
“you really are Russian aren’t you.”
Thomas laughed.

Altair L'had

Altair L'had finished checking his Dragunov mid-long range sniper's rifle. He strung it across his back and checked that he had his pouch of ammunition on his waist. Checked to to make sure all his grenades and flares were where they should be. He stepped inside an RHIB unit waiting at the stern of the same battleship Thomas was on. While waiting for the mission to go green he radioed into the rest of the soldiers.

"Listen boys, It's probably just me getting that girl out, if I give the word 'J-Walker' than you know I've been compromised. If that is the case I will attempt to neutralize any threat to myself and the VIP. If I do not give the safe-word 'Eagle' within 10 minutes send in as many troops as you believe is needed. When I get the girl out of there, raise some hell. That means you Kilo, you lazy, smoking b*****d.

Although his accent was pretty strong his voice seemed comforting, lighthearted even. He chuckled before setting the comm unit back on it's hook and resting at the bow of the small boat with his rifle laying across his chest. He chose a boonie to wear on his head for this mission, something he can stick some foliage into when he hits land.

"Da my father he worked in the KGB during the last few years of the union but i joined the army when i was 18 years old so i guess i worked with them but i am not much for politics.I fought for my country. For the Motherland" he said to him as he started to chug the Flask. After a minute he put his head back down holding the now empty flask he closed it and looked to Thomas "What to strong for you" he then said as he put his flask in his bag.

And when he gets to Heaven,to Saint Peter he will tell...
Time: 0100 hours
Location: Pirate Base in the middle of the Pacific
Mood: Relaxed, somewhat bored.

Batak Sumati sighed as his patrol boat crested the southern corner of the island, coming up on the remains of the tanker and the lagoon. He did a quick sweep of the lagoon from the mouth, not willing on seeing of the ancient PBR patrol boat he was in was shallow enough to enter. After he was sure that there was no one there, he shifted his attention to the sunken hulk of the supertanker. As the searchlight swept over its rusted hull, Batak thought of how much money its scrap would have rakes in, had the boss not chosen such an incompetent gang of fools to pilot it in. Oh well, the ship was sunk now, and the fools had been taken care of. No use worrying now. Batak steered the PBR around the hulk, and continued his patrol.

At the main complex, the pirate leader, a massive man by the name of Baltar, laughed and took another swig of cheap whiskey. He recounted stories of his exploits to his latest female companions of the night, cheap whores from the mainland who were being paid a pretty penny to come to the island and pretend to be interested. He belched and gestured to the terrified fifteen year old girl, bound and gagged in the corner and being watched by two guards, both of them eyeing her with a lecherous grin. But, they were not allowed to touch her...for now. With another belch, Balthar explained how she was his bargaining chip, the key that would funnel untold riches from her daddy, straight to his pocket. He went on to boast about the gunboat in the harbor, how its payload of missiles and shells kept any foolish mercenaries way. The whores simply rolled their eyes, and forced smiles to their faces, asking him to continue.

"One more soldier reporting, sir. I've served my time in Hell."

Thomas, looking at what Artyom said as a challenge, he turned the flask up and emptied it, then he handed the flask over to Artyom.
“Not to strong, it’s just that you can always tell the difference between Russian vodka and anything else. But KGB, they’re pretty tough, always carrying around those damn ballistic knives.”
Thomas said trying to gauge Artyom’s reaction.
