User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Name: Eloise-Mae Juniper

Nickname: Ellie, Ellie-Mae, EJ

Age: 17

Birthday: February 27th

Sign: Pisces

Gemstone: Aquamarine

Blood Type: AB

Fav. Food: Chocolate

Hated Food: Vegetables (peas are the only exception)

School: St Magdalena's Seminary

Hobbies:

Kickboxing -- A recent venture, it was recommended upon her transfer to St Magdalena's that she needed an outlet for all of that negative energy. Kickboxing was the only suggestion that Ellie really fancied, and a year later she's gotten quite into it. What started out as more of a therapy session has turned into a hobby, and Ellie attends training twice a week at the local club. She hasn't competed properly yet, only in training matches, but she's hoping that will change this year as she makes the transition from hitting anything that moves to a well-trained kickboxer who thinks ahead and forms a strategy.

Horror Movies -- What isn't there to love above horror movies? Sure, normal movies are okay, but it's blood, guts and gore that really get Eloise's heart pumping. She watched her first horror film at the tender age of 8, and whilst most normal children might find themselves hiding behind the sofa bawling their eyes out, Eloise watched it with wide eyes of delight. She prefers a well-made horror movie, with equal amounts of suspense, thrill and gore, and has started branching out to watch subbed Japanese films after a friend made the suggestion.

Video Games -- Xbox, Gamecube, Dreamcast, Playstation, DS, Wii...you name it, Ellie's played it and is probably pretty damn good at it. She is proud to declare that she has at some point in her life owned/played on every games console in existence (even that Sega MegaDrive no-one remembers), and in most cases has rocked at it. She's a gaming nerd, even in possession of her very own gaming chair where she spends most of the time when she should be working (it's got her buttprint imprinted into it).

Virtues:

I know exactly what we need to do -- Ellie is the type to naturally take the leader role, always having some sort of solution for whatever the problem might be and eager to reap any rewards - even if they're just getting the damn thing over with. She'll step up when no-one else will, or if she thinks (read: knows) that she is the only suitable candidate, as it'll usually guarantee her brownie points or IOUs that can be traded in at a later date. Ellie is quite capable at achieving anything she puts her mind to, especially due to her knack of absorbing a lot of information in a small amount of time. She's a jack of all trades, able to pick up most skills with ease and often creative in finding solutions, not always taking the logical route if she thinks it'll be more fun another way. However, being a jack of all trades leads to being a master of none - she's alright at most things, but has too short an attention span to care enough and focus enough to become amazing. The only thing standing in the way is Ellie herself, as she'll often throw in the towel and get bored before she's become properly engaged in a task. She likes to think of herself as Robin Hood, leading a band of merry men on a fun adventure to winner-land.

Don't need anyone but me -- Eloise is a highly independent girl, and can take care of herself just fine. She's adept at cooking, cleaning, washing, hoovering (not to say that she actually bothers with it), and her parents are often off on weekend trips away while leaving the house in her care. When she is faced with the realization that there's a task she has to complete, Ellie is logical about it - she's well aware that she doesn't have the best attention span in the world, and so will divide it into manageable chunks with plenty of down-time in between. She's comfortable being by herself, and doesn't feel the need to immerse herself in a group of friends. Ellie loves thrills and challenges, and will actively seek them out - labelling something difficult won't deter her, it'll only make her more intent on conquering it.

Go with the flow -- Diaries are for losers, and Ellie finds it far more fun taking each day as it comes. Whilst she's good at organizing her time when she has no other choice, Ellie doesn't like the idea of scheduling every single part of your day - what if something amazing comes up but you've already got something planned? Being incredibly laid back is something Eloise is good at, and this extends to situations that could otherwise be extremely stressful. She doesn't panic or worry, keeping calm and trying to calm those down around her. There's no point getting yourself all worked up about it - that'll just make the whole thing worse, as far as Ellie is concerned. It's all about the ride, and having as much fun on it as you can, whatever obstacles stand in your way.

Flaws:

Punch first, questions later -- Not the most patient of people, Eloise tends to act first and ask questions later, with her action of choice usually being some type of physical violence. She isn't afraid to use her fists to solve an arguement, and actually believes it to be the best way to do so. Should someone say or do something she isn't happy with, she sees no problem with threatening them or hitting them - it's the most effective way of getting the message across. She's a very physical person, and this can make her seem very intimidating, and has given her a reputation as a bully.

What's in it for me? -- There's only one important person in Eloise's life, and that's herself. She won't do anything unless there's a positive outcome for herself and she doesn't have to go too far out of her way. Whilst she will stand up and take the leadership role, this is usually a last resort if no-one else offers, or if she knows that by doing so it'll make her life a lot easier further on down the line. Or, y'know, it might just be to piss off that other girl who wanted the role so bad. She's a very greedy person, and is quite focused on material possessions - Ellie would far rather have a motorbike than a close group of friends. She likes to think that she wouldn't amount to theft, and would violently deny such an accusation, but she has in fact shoplifted before on several occasions.

Hold on, I wasn't listening, say that again? -- Most of the time when talking to Ellie, you'll have to repeat something twice. She has a short attention span, and in all honesty that butterfly over there is probably a lot more interesting than you are anyway. She's cynical, and will often decide beforehand whether you're worth listening to or not. She's perfected the art of acting and seeming interested, whilst actually daydreaming or concentrating on something else.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: A pinky-red, raspberry sort of colour. Wide and round.

Hair: Short, straight and choppy. Pale blue with lots of chunky layers (it's very thick) a couple of which are pink. Shaved down one side, usually worn in a messy gel-ed up style. THIS.

Face: Round with large eyes and a small nose. Pink lips and naturally rosy cheeks.

Clothes: School uniform. Two thin gold bangles on her right wrist. She also has a gold ring in her nose, and two piercings in each ear lobe (civilian art please number six here and then one small gold hoop). And her belly button. (Plus her left n****e, but no-one needs to see that). She prefers gold jewellery to silver. She also has this tattoo in colour on her back, and the words carpe diem tattooed on the back of her neck.

Senshi: Sailor Lilaea, Senshi of Springs
(Back-ups = Waterfalls? Brooks? Fountains?)

Challenge: In the name of Lilaea, I’ll punish you! <-- COME UP WITH SOMETHING BETTER PLZ

IDEAS;;
Time to put a spring in your step!
I'll blast you back to the hole you crawled from!

Fuku Colour:
Main Color: Blue
Secondary Color: Lighter blue, maybe some seafoam green?
Exact shades are up in the air, make her pretty please? C:

Fuku:

Collar -- Simple, attached to the front of her bodice (probably what's holding it up). Blue.
Bow -- Simple is good! Nothing too frilly or fancy, but I was thinking more along the lines of thin and delicate and looooong (I like long bows C: ) than big and bold. Darker blue.
Bodice -- A strapless white swimsuit.
Sleeves -- Chiffon-y and accompanied by pretty white beads, see above.
Brooch -- See above! In three pieces resembling a simple spring. Gold.
Bottoms -- Sheer/translucent mullet skirt coming from waist (so floor-length at back but mini-length at front example). Possibly-maybe fading from blue to a sort of seafoam-green at the seam?
Tiara -- Plain gold tiara under her fringe with plain gold coins hanging off of it
Choker -- gold chain with a single coin.
Shoes -- Something like this but with a thinner heel and without the obvious seams, and in blue C: One shoe has more pretty white beads around it, like an anklet
Gloves -- Lightweight kickboxing gloves, like this but plain and white.
Accessories -- All of her relevant jewellery (just two small gold hoops in each ear) and tattooes (if you can see them). Maybe an anklet or a bracelet or some gold jewellery with the coin still?

Feel free to play around with colours and things C:

Attacks:

Sailor Scout Attack: Lilaea Spout!
Sailor Lilaea selects an opponent and focuses on them, extending a hand with her palm facing them. She shouts the name of her attack, and immediately a small spring will sprout beneath their feet wherever they were in contact with the ground at that moment, forming a small, slippery puddle.
  • The puddle will fade after around 30 seconds
  • The puddle is around a metre squared in diameter
  • The puddle is very slippery!
  • Very slippery AKA magical slippery - if you move in the puddle, you will probably end up on your bum
  • Lilaea can use this attack three times in a battle
  • Allies have to be careful to avoid the puddle!

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Lilaea Burst!
Super Sailor Lilaea selects an opponent and focuses on them, extending a hand with her palm facing them. She shouts the name of her attack, and immediately a larger spring will sprout beneath their feet wherever they were in contact with the ground at that moment, forming a small, slippery puddle.
  • The puddle will fade after around 40 seconds
  • The spring is more powerful, and if the enemy is standing on it it will likely knock them off balance
  • The puddle is around three metres squared in diameter
  • The puddle is very slippery!
  • Very slippery AKA magical slippery - if you move in the puddle, you will probably end up on your bum
  • Lilaea can use this attack two times in a battle
  • Allies have to be careful to avoid the puddle!

Eternal Sailor Attack: Lilaea Spring Frenzy!
Eternal Sailor Lilaea points both hands out in front of her, palms up. She shouts the name of her attack, and almost immediately a series of powerful springs explode up from the ground in front of her, travelling in a straight line in the direction she was facing.
  • The springs are powerful enough to shoot two metres into the air, and are around 10cm in diameter
  • The effects depend on the power level of the target - lieutenants and first-stage characters are blasted off of their feet and half a metre or so into the air, second-stage characters only around 20cm, third-stage characters are merely knocked off of their feet and fourth-stage/royalty merely made to stumble/sort out their footing (There is room for adapting this depending on the situation, it's not set in stone this is just to give you an idea! For example, if they weren't standing directly on top of the spring they wouldn't be as effected)
  • Water will cover the area and make it very, very slippery (normal slippery, not magical)!
  • Ground water will hang around until the end of the battle
  • She can only use this once per battle, it's a very tiring attack
  • She can create a total of six springs in the series, 2-3 feet apart
  • Allies have to watch out too!

Hey Kairi! <3 Gonna try giving you a crit here. c:

Most of Ellie's personality sounds fine to me! She seems like a really interesting, fun character to RP with, and I think you've been very good with elaborating her descriptions. I do have a couple of questions, though. <3

In 'I know exactly what we need to do', there's this: She's a jack of all trades, seeming to be naturally good at most things, and so is often creative in finding solutions, not always taking the logical route if she thinks it'll be more fun another way.
Is she actually naturally good at most things, or does she just seem that way? You don't explain this in the profile, and it's one thing I'd really like to see elaborated! If she does just seem it, I'd like there to be something - maybe just a line somewhere - detailing how she manages to do this.
And the same if she is naturally good at most things. I feel like there's a bit of a disrepancy between this, both the actual thing and only seeming it, and her short attention span. How does she manage that?

I'm also wondering, if she's only out for herself, why does she often take the leadership role in things? If she has no interest in anyone's welfare but her own, how does that work? I can't quite see the connection between these two - in one trait, she's a natural born leader taking charge, and in the other she's only out for herself and would even exchange having friends for having material possessions. I'm sure you can make the two work, but right now I think they require a bit more connection. <3

I'd also like to see more of the 'Hold on, I wasn't listening, say that again?' trait reflected in the other traits - how does it work with her having to do the chores at home when her parents are gone, how does it work with taking the lead in things that are a bit more time-consuming? I'd really like to see this played up more! c:

THE SENSHI SECTION:

What you have for the fuku might be a tad too similar to Sailor Nerissa, so you might want to rework it a bit to give it a bit more distinction. <3

I have two questions for her attacks; firstly, are we talking normal puddle-slippery, or magically-slippery?
And for her Eternal attack, how big are the individual springs? Two pints spilled is about 1 m2, so you may not want to go over-board here.

All in all, I love her! She's very unique, Senshi of Springs = fff <33 and your attacks sound great!

Ahhhh, thank you so much! <3

I've editted her traits as you've suggested, and tried to make certain things clearer and elaborate here and there as per your suggestions! :> I hope I've explained the jack of all trades thing a little better, that was bad wording on my part!

I also (I know you know this anyway xD) changed her hairstyle a little, as per your suggestion, thank you for the ref! <33

Changed her fuku with bucketloads of help from the amazing ende, and tweaked her attacks :>

How's she looking now? I hope I make more sense xD

Awesome!! I really love how you've made everything flow together - your virtues and flaws work together really amazingly, I think. Definitely kudos, you've done a great job updating everything! <333

For the jack of all trades thing, however, what you have right now might be a bit too OP. I think if you want to go this route, you might want to add a 'jack of all trades, master of none'-clause to it, because right now Ellie has the potential to be just a bit too good at everything!

The new fuku looks and sounds amazing, definitely think we can check looking like Nerissa off the list! <3

For your first two attacks!

Sailor Lilaea selects an opponent and focuses on them, extending a hand with her palm facing them. She shouts the name of her attack, and a few moments later a small spring will sprout beneath their feet, forming a small, slippery puddle.
*A battle only lasts for five minutes, typically, so it might be better to say 'a few seconds' later—or immediately. What happens if the opponent is running? How can it appear before them if they are running? Does it appear where they were originally standing or does it appear spontaneously wherever they are running?

The puddle is permanent, and will remain until it is cleaned up
*When a senshi sphere is, for example, something to do with water, what the senshi summons in their attack is not actually water, but instead magic acting as water. And since no magic is supposed to be permanent, you'll have to add a duration of some sort unto the puddles! I think maybe 30 seconds each could work? Enough time for her to position them strategically and trap an enemy, without it being too long. You don't have to have it 30 seconds though, feel free to suggest something else if you feel that it would fit better! <333

The spring is a pathetic trickle of water, nothing more
*What is the purpose of this statement? The spring that appears below their feet and makes the puddle? [In which case, wouldn’t they notice water puddling beneath their feet and just move away?]

The puddle is the size of if you'd spilt two pints of water
*I think it might be better for you to say how big the radius or diameter (1 m2) of the puddle beneath their feet is, since a lot of people might think that two pints is more/less than it actually is. [plus water would spread differently over grass than it would over other surfaces, so having a set coverage would be good!]

The puddle is very slippery (especially if on grass --> mud)!
*Water would mostly absorb into the ground on grass, but it could make the grass blades slippery. I don't really think two pints is going to cause enough mud for it to be an actual problem - I feel that you're probably better off just nixing this bit and sticking to being magically slippery.

Very slippery AKA magical slippery - if you stand in the puddle, you will probably end up on your bum
*I think perhaps, instead of falling when just standing still, falling when there is some movement might be better. It could also make for interesting battles of an opponent trying to stand very, very still while Lilaea pelts things at them? XD

For Lilaea Spring Frenzy:
The springs are powerful enough to send someone flying should they be standing on top of one, or to knock them off balance if standing near it
How far do the springs shoot up into the air? How high/far could they throw someone? I'd like to know because if they shoot up, say, five meters, that could be potentially lethal [especially if they land on their head/neck] or the fall could cause broken bones or something. That's pretty serious!
And how near is near, exactly? Within 20 cm? Within a meter?

Ground debris from where the spring erupts may cause damage
*Depending on where she uses the attack, the debris could be A LOT and could do some pretty serious damage. Also, going back to the ealier non-permanence thing, I don't think permanent damage is to the environment is allowed! Perhaps instead of actually erupting from the ground, the water only actually erupts from streetlevel and up?

Again, you need to add a duration to how long the water stays around for - perhaps a longer duration, like 1-2 minutes or until the end of the battle? (I think that should be OK since it's not magically slippery. <3)

Ahhh thank you I love you <3 <3 <3

Added the master of none clause (I knew I was missing part of that phrase!), and altered attacks in the ways suggested! I added durations and removed confusing statements about springs and ground debris so I hope it all looks better now! <3

Love the new addition to I know exactly what we need to do! It does, however, makes this part sound a bit awkward: 'She's a jack of all trades, able to pick up most skills with ease and often creative in finding solutions, not always taking the logical route if she thinks it'll be more fun another way. However, being a jack of all trades leads to being a master of none - she's alright at most things, but has too short an attention span to care enough and focus enough to become amazing. Ellie is quite capable at achieving anything she puts her mind to, especially due to her knack of absorbing a lot of information in a small amount of time. The only thing standing in the way is Ellie herself, as she'll often throw in the towel and get bored before she's become properly engaged in a task.'

I think you can definitely make the last sentence work together with the new part, if you want! Maybe just add 'the only thing standing in Ellie's way is Ellie herself,' or something similar? I think you can also make the bolded part work with the rest of the paragraph by moving it in front of the 'jack of all trades' sentence, like so:

'Ellie is quite capable at achieving anything she puts her mind to, especially due to her knack of absorbing a lot of information in a small amount of time. '

I think this flows much better, while still retaining all the information you want to get across to the reader. <33

And you've done an amazing job on the revision of her attacks, seriously! <33

However, in Lilaea Burst, the puddle is still described as permanent - I think you just missed it in the re-writing, but you'll have to add a duration to these puddles as well!

I think you can safely up the duration from what it was in Lilaea Spout, though! <33 Maybe to about 50 seconds / 1 minute? Since you've not increased the size of the puddles and have reduced the number by one when compared to the first attack, you can get away with a markedly increased duration. You can also choose to combine duration/size of puddle, if you want. <33 The duration would not be as long as what I've suggested, but it could still increase and you could get a larger puddle!

I'd still like to know how far standing on one of the springs in Lilaea Spring Frenzy can send a person flying, as well!

Ahhh, thank you! This is like, insanely helpful, I'm really grateful <3

I have shuffled around that virtue as you suggested - I think I must have been a bit sleepy or out-of-it when I did the last rewrite, what with all these mistakes/things I missed! I have already got the statement 'The only thing standing in the way is Ellie herself, as she'll often throw in the towel and get bored before she's become properly engaged in a task.', but if you think I should expand/add a little more on it then I will certainly do my best!

Attacks have been rewritten again (properly this time ;; ). I hope the duration/size balance in Lilaea Burst is acceptable! With regards to how far the enemy is sent flying, I found it quite difficult to state outright since it will obviously depend on their weight, if they're standing directly on the spring or at an angle, etc, but I hope the bullet I added covers what you think I was missing :>

I'm so, so sorry about the long wait on my response! Things have been crazy here and I got a bit sidetracked by stuff in real life, but it should've settled down a bit now. <333

I know exactly what we need to do sounds absolutely perfect! I don't think there's any need to add anything else to it; what it's got now sounds good to me. c:

The new additions to her attacks sound good to me, too. I truly think you're ready for a -

Alrighty, so... Her civ side is fine, and most of her attacks are, as well, but let's hash out that Eternal attack, because as it stands, it's a tad OP.

First, she'll only be able to use an attack like that, once, what with the 4-6 springs appearing and blasting people off into the sky. Since this is magic, the weight of the opponent is irrelevant. To add a fun twist, I would make that dependent on the power level of the victim instead of weight! That is to say, a nega lieutenant might be sent FLYING off their feet, whereas a General King would be irritated that their footing was unstable, possibly making them slip in the water, and aw man, their uniform is all wet!

Once again, as Ephebe mentioned, falls from that high up can be lethal, and we try to stay away from that in attacks.

Feel free to quote me, when you address these issues!

Ack, sorry for the huge delay, hiatus-ing sucks :C I LOVE the idea of it being based on power-level, that's such a neat idea so thank you thank you thank you! I have editted that in, and recently won EJ in Verithe's customs, so hope this is what you were after! :>
