Dangit. I took one of my cats to the vets who said she had flea droppings in her, but couldn't find any fleas. Brought her home and washed her, and sure enough she had 3 fleas I found.
Took the dog to the vet who is a white Lhasa Apso (which was in 3/4 length coat) and had him shaved. He didn't have a single flea on him. Wtf.
Went to the vets and bought Advantage, gave it to all three animals (2 cats, one dog). Both of my cats are still digging, which is driving me nuts. I've been vacuuming like there's no tomorrow and cleaning everything. I even sprayed some crap all around the apartment. Bigger problem? I'm moving in three days. THREE.
An apartment a few doors away was INFESTED with fleas. No one thought to tell me, which pisses me the hell off. Now that I'm dealing with fleas, I have to move. How the heck do I move with fleas?
To top it off, the house I'm moving into has been having work done in it. New floors, new carpet.. new everything, so I've been cleaning up after contractors and still have a ton to clean. Did I mention, moving in on Saturday?
I'm not doing anything else to this apartment. I'll clean it up somewhat, as it is spotless but the deep cleaning I was going to do is out the window. He can't tell me about a flea infestation, I some how forgot how to clean his apartment.
But about the new house. Do I go ahead and set off a flea bomb now, before I take the pets there? Do I just, vacuum vacuum vacuum, hoping to catch the fleas throughout their cycle so that the house will not become infested? What can I do?
HELP.

It takes at least a day, possibly longer, for the Advantage to kill all the adult fleas, and longer still for the flea bites to heal. You'll need to apply it to them again for a few more months to completely eradicate this infestation. As far as I know, flea bombing mostly deals with fleas that are there already. If you could move in all your stuff but keep your pets at your current place and bomb, that might work. Good luck.

I didn't think of taking the items but leaving the animals behind for a bit while I bombed. That's probably something I should consider. Thank you very much.

I am not entirely sure what you're asking so I'll try to cover some bases..
If you're worried about your new house having fleas before you move in, I'm relatively certain that flea bombing only kills the adults and larvae. Did you know that flea eggs can lie dormant for up to a whole year before hatching? Bombing is not the answer, not to mention to unpleasant chemicals. Keep your pets treated for a year at minimum, permanently to be safe. Eventually the problem will deal with itself as the adults die off and the babies are unable to develop.
If you are concerned about bringing fleas to your new house, wash all pet-contacted items in hot water and bag them before you move. That'll help with egg transport, and if you keep your pets dosed then the problem will eventually go away.
If you were wondering what you can do about your current house, give it a good vaccuming and that's about all. Throw out the bag when you're done.

Don't forget to wash all their toys and bedding and even your bedding. I know how hard it can be to get rid of fleas. We had a plague of them a few years ago and all we could do was continually treat for them because we were pretty sure they were coming in from the outside and there's not much you can do about outside fleas. I would be careful about bombs. I heard you can kill off some kinds of bugs but the ones that survive come back seven fold because you just killed off their rivals. I'd keep treating, cleaning and spraying until you're sure you've covered their whole cycle and just keep treating the pets for a little while.
