Welcome everybody to our Imbolc/Lammas 2012 party! We hope that you all have a great time! biggrin
Here is the raffle prize list for this event!
First Prize - Shadow Spirit
Second Prize - 8,000
Third Prize - 4,000
Everyone who doesn't win a raffle prize will get 300 gaia gold.
To be entered in the raffle you must post something sabbat related in THIS thread. It can be a Imbolc/Lammas ritual, spell, craft, recipe - even telling us what you're planning for your own celebration...The list goes on! So post away. You can only be entered into the raffle once.

Blessed Imbolc upon you all. I'm very emotional for this sabbat since it will mark my first full year walking a pagan path. So far, I have plans to make a bed for an Ariel doll I have to represent Brighid so that she'll have a place to rest in my home.

I have come to learn that Imbolc is a fire festival of sorts, celebrating the recovery of the Goddess after giving birth to the God at Yule. It's also known as Candlemas. While Lammas is a festival of harvest, celebrating the bounty given by nature. Blessed be!

I have been a wiccan all my life, because my mother is one. But this like lifeaura is a very special sabbat for it is marking my 14th year of being a wiccan. So to celebrate I will be...spring cleaning. I know it sounds not so celebrate-y but it feels right to me. Some Facts:
~Lammas (also known as Lughnasadh and August Eve) is a time of ripeness, a time of fruitfulness.
~In the Wiccan calendar Lammas is celebrated on August 1st north of the equator, and February 1 in the Southern Hemisphere.
~This Wiccan Sabbat's name comes from the Anglo Saxon festival called hlaefmass. Meaning in english 'loaf festival'.
~Lammas is one of the least celebrated sabbats simply because the world has become more industrialised, therefore not as many harvest celebrations.
~Like all harvest festivals, this is a time to give thanks for the gifts of the Divine. It's also a time when we celebrate our skills. Happ Imbolc and may the Goddess shine on you!
