Liquid eyeliner doesn't go on your bottom lid. Actually, no eyeliner should go down there because it is too easy to smudge. Using an eye shadow and putting it on with an angle brush is better.

Also, what kinda tip does the eyeliner have? Brush, marker, or foam? Marker tips will always give you the best control because they are firmer.

If the liquid eyeliner is rubbing off after eyeshadow, than I suggest either putting it on after, or just buying a new one because liquid eyeliners are generally smudge resistant

L'oreal Telescopic Liquid Liner in Carbon Black is the best liquid liner I have ever tried. It only comes in black though, which sucks if you don't want black.


What you can try, is NOT applying corner to corner. What I normally do is start in the middle of my eye and draw the line out to the outer corner of my eye. and then go back to the middle and draw from the middle to the inner corner of my eye.

Also, try doing smaller strokes as you draw the line on instead of one long one until you get better at it.

But yeah, IDK. Eyeshadow normally works better for the lower lid, but I seriously advise against using liquid eyeliner if you're going to use eyeliner on the bottom lid. 99% of the time it looks like you took a fine liner Sharpie and drew a crisp line on it. If you're going to do line the bottom lid with a liner, do it with pencil because it is softer.

For my bottoms, I use some eyeliner on the bottom-outside and a dark brown eyeshadow to give it some more definition.

I don't use liquid eyeliner because it doesn't really go with my style, AND it's a b***h to put on, but when I have used it, I would put it on and then use a q-tip to make the line nicer.

It takes a lot of practice, but it's the only way I can get my wingtips. Sometimes I put it on the inside of my bottom lid, Right above the bottom lashes. It's not easy though, even I still ******** it up sometimes.
I always use marker tip.

I take the tip of the liquid eyeliner and brush it onto a flat angled makeup brush and use that to draw a straight line instead with my eye closed. Much easier. You can get one of these for like $2 at the drug store.

Goddammit I've been wanting to try using liquid eyeliner but this makes me afraid. :c
