Wintereenmas lasts a whole week. Yesterday was Adventure game day. I played the original: Adventure on the Atari 2600. I'm going old school this year. whee

Today is FPS day. I'm not an FPS gamer. xp Mostly, cuz of the FP part. But there are games in that style that I enjoy that aren't FP.

Yeah, we don't have any "first-person" shooter type games.

But along the FPS feel are a number of ones we like.
(ones that involve lots of military style shooting and/or stealth)

Oni

Note that in the comic, Ethan, it's inventor, did NOT play all the genres for all 7 days. He picked one to "geek out" (nerdgasm, LOL ^.^ ) about for ALL 7 days. So it's not required that you do so. It's just cool to say you have a game for all the genres ^.^

Today's game type is fighting games! surprised Mortal Kombat, DBZ, Naruto, etc. I'll be playing Soul Calibur on my Dreamcast. It's the best!

Today's game type is RTS. I don't play them much, but I enjoy the occasional strategy sim.

We fought each other on Soul Calibur.
It was awesome ^.^

Next day it was the simulator JP operatioon genesis,
which is oddly expensive online now o_O

Today is Racing Day.
I may go back to Hot Wheels Turbo Racing.
Was the first game on the PS1 that I ever got.
(christmas stocking stuffer...
...the system was the main gift, as well as my lost world jurassic park, also on PS1)

It's fun. Some people do big celebrations, like LAN parties and stuff.

Today's game type is RPGs. I'm gonna play a fun flash-based RPG that I like called Mardek. You should give it a try.

The first chapter isn't much, but the story that continues into the second chapter is awesome, and the details in the NPCs and the environments are great. There are so many jokes about RPGs, I couldn't possibly repeat them all.

Today is Sports game day. I'm not much into those, but I think Wii Sports Resort is cute and fun.

I have both. Resort has way more sports in it, but a lot of them aren't really sports. Unless you consider racing around on a jetski to be a sport. xd But the variety makes is more interesting. I was addicted to the sword fighting, but I hurt my arms playing it too much. xp

Action-adventure/Platformer Day: Red Ninja End of Honor
FPS Day: Red Ninja End of Honor
Fighting Day: Soul Calibur
RTS Day: Jurassic Park Operation Genesis
Racing Day: Hot Wheels Turbo Racing
RPG Day: Mardek
Sports Day: WII Sports Resort

It was fun to go back and play some games that I haven't played in a while ^.^

I didn't feel like re-installing Starcraft, so I just played JP.
(a "real-time" simulator should qualify, right? )
And Red Ninja got FPS day because I don't actually have any FPS games.
So if you include military style stealth and shooter games, it can qualify that way ^^;
