As the trainees exited on their golems, they would hear a cracking noise, followed by an extremely loud screech, and then finally, a voice. Oh, it was Julie.
"Can you hear me trainees?" One could almost hear the smiley in her voice. "Your golem should have a headset piece attached, make sure not to lose it!" Another pause, and what sounded like a wet thwack from the other side of the headset. "Anyway, the live camera feed through your golems is great, your golems should have capture nets and a nice bag to put the pets in, now embark dear trainees and find me those something cute and fluffies."
And as the trainees looked around, for the first time, they would notice that the entire area around them was littered in minipets and tall grass. CAPTURING A MINIPET - The trainees are unbeknownst to them, in the Scarefari Zone. Simply roll a 100-sided dice to see what minipet they spot, or half-spot in the tall grass. Match your results below and rp out the result. To CAPTURE the pet, after you roll your 100-sided dice, roll a 4-sided dice, and use the capture gun equipped on your golem and um, stash them into that bag... I guess... Rolling a 1 is success, everything else is fail. Keep going until you capture at least one minipet. 1 - 20: The grass is surrounded by little pokey footprints. (Foxfire) 21 - 40: Something seems to flutter away from the trap...very awkwardly (BB Wolf) 41 - 60: A tuft of fluff and some candy is close to this patch of grass... (Treat) 61 - 80: A small mewling noise is coming from the patch of grass.. (Bottlecat) 81 - 100: It appears something with little clawed feet has given the grass a wide berth. (Pygmy dragon)

He awoke with a start, his eye's blinking as he got used to the new body before grinning. He already knew his golem would rock, he had some nice luck with that.
Chama herself didn't seem all too pleased. It wasn't like Dakota didn't have experience being in a vampire's body...after all.
Dakota sighed as he rested the gun on his shoulder and looked around. Just how would he go about capturing what she wanted.
Cute and fluffy.
NONE OF THESE THINGS LOOKED CUTE AND FLUFFY.
He watched as something flew by, it looked like butterfly wings......on the butt of a wolf. What the hell.
"Dude...."

He was...short.
<< You're already short. >>
Fine. I'm short-ER. I'm shortER.
By a good three or four inches, by the look of it. Gale's body was small and stocky, his skin pale, his hair short and dark and falling against his forehead.
What am I, exactly?
<< A vampire. I think. >>
...ugh.
There was a horrible crackling noise and Gale pulled the headset away from his ears to stare blankly at it before there was a squawking - oh, nope, just Julie's voice, way too perky for three o c'lock in the morning.
"Right, yes, finding something cute and fluffy..." yawned Gale and pulled out his trap gun.
And then apparently saw the exact same thing as Dakota had.
"...what."

"Oh, hey! I'm a tall guy again!"
At least, she thought that she was a guy? It was kind of hard to see with that sheet of paper hanging off of the front of her hat, but it felt like a male body. Reaching up, she flipped the talisman up as Julie's voice crackled over the headset, scanning their new surroundings--
--Oh mannn, this was kind of like Pokemon! They were out on an adventure to capture these wild creatures for...for...
...Well, not for being the Pokemon Master, that was for sure. At least, that probably wasn't Julie's intent. Frowning, Eva was quick to shake that thought away as she looked over to Dakota and Gale, who already seemed to be starting their search. Okay then! Time to start looking! She began to take a step forward...only to realize that she couldn't. For some reason, though it seemed that she was capable of bending her knees, she couldn't actually lift her legs.
You're a jiangshi. You have to hop.
"...You have got to be kidding me." Sure enough, when she gave it a go, she realized that Chara was right. Eva wasn't sure how sneaky a 6'0" hopping zombie could be, but it looked like she didn't have a choice.
Fortunately, it didn't take long for her to spot something among the grass, and...hmmm! Cute? Yep, it was cute! And...fluffy? Very fluffy.
"I think I found one!" Now just to capture it.
...Eva never had much luck with the capture guns.

Thank goodness for small blessings - he'd finally gotten a male golem. Jordan glanced down at himself; large, green, and scaly, and wearing some kind of ragged shorts. And he felt damp. ... Could be worse. Could be much worse, really.
Swamp thing, Ferros said helpfully. I think.
He also had a bag and a capture gun. And a headpiece. He winced and put his hand up to his ear - uh, fin? never mind - as Julie gave them their instructions, her words punctuated by some seriously disturbing noises. He really wasn't sure what he thought about this mission; knowing they'd be bringing back something cute and fluffy to serve as an ingredient was a little unsettling. Still, it was just a Fear creature, he reminded himself.
As Jordan looked around, he realized that the area was familiar - he'd been here once before, during the Floresctival infiltration mission. The Scarefari. Except that now it was bustling with minipet activity.
"Better get to it, I guess," he sighed, and went to investigate the nearest patch of grass. When he pushed the grass aside with the muzzle of the capture gun, big blue eyes stared up at him, and there was a soft mew. He paused. That's just not fair.
I don't THINK we'll have to watch her chop it up, anyway, Ferros offered, a buried note of glee in his mental voice.
... You're a sick, sick person sometimes.

Jordan backed up a step, took aim at the little winged feline thing, and fired the net; the creature yowled at the bang and went bolting up into the air, wings flapping frantically. It vanished into the trees, and Jordan shook his head. "Not today, huh."
Oh, well. Time to look for another one.

Lifting the capture gun, Eva took aim at the fluffy puppy, trying not to think about what Julie was going to do to the poor thing...
And then she fired.
And holy s**t, she actually caught it.

Jove always liked the scarefari zone. Although it sometimes had big, frightening creatures in it, most of the time there were only wild minipets going about their business. He could wander through the place without worrying about walls or roads or boundaries, and find all sorts of mushrooms that didn't grow so close to the school. Diversity, in this respect, literally made his room a brighter place.
Unfortunately he was doing what all his friends told him not to do. Wander around in his natural form. Not only was he a small, fluffy foxfire, but worse yet, he was a puppy. Resplendent in his poofy coat, with a teeny pokeable nose, wide, glowing eyes, and little stumpy legs, he was the very image of the worst "human pet" imaginable. He didn't look like a ghost at all, but he weighed only a fraction of an average foxfire pup.
He was trotting contentedly through the fields adjacent the dark forests when he heard voices nearby. They didn't sound like hunters. At least, not experienced ones, they were making far too much noise, rustling and thumping about. They almost... sounded like students.
Wandering closer, he realized he couldn't identify their voices. Maybe another school was out on a field trip? If only he was in his human form he'd be able to see above that long grass!
He flinched at the sound of two loud bangs. What, were they trying to scare away everything in the field? With a frown he trotted closer.

Jordan heard another bang and turned in time to see a net settling neatly over something that looked like a ball of fuzz with legs. Foxfire, that's what the things were called. "Good one!" he called over to whoever was in the jiangshi golem.
The next patch of grass he investigated revealed ... another foxfire. Cute, poofy, and totally harmless-looking. He was severely tempted to just quietly shoo it away. He always had been a dog person. "Sorry, buddy," he told it. "Gotta take a shot at you."

The foxfire tilted its head curiously at Jordan, and he gritted his teeth. Why did it have to be so cute. This time, when he fired, the net flew straight, wrapping itself neatly around the puffy little dog-thing. Jordan lowered the trap gun and went to pick his capture up; with a bit of careful maneuvering, he got it into the bag and got the net back out of the bag without letting the minipet slip back out.
"Got one," he said to the other three.

There was a squeal at the other end of the headset. "Those are adorable, take that Clarice, I'll show you who has the cutest pets ever."
Another loud, audible hollow thunk and what sounded like a knife burying into something very squishy on the other end of said headset. This continued three times.
"Okay then trainees, please log out of your golems, place the bag on the portal exit next to the golems and I'll go retrieve them! Come back of course for your mission rewards." OOC - Everyone can simply report back here again and wait for further orders.

"Woah--you too! Nice catch!" Eva called back to Jordan, grinning as she gave him a thumbs up. The jiangshi flinched at the squeal--and the wet, squishy sounds--that suddenly came from the headset, and it was a mixture of relief, irritation, and dread that filled her when Julie told them to log out of the golems. That mission had been a quick one (did they seriously have to wake up at 3am just for this?) and now...
Now they had to deliver these poor, fluffy puppies to Julie. There poor, sweet, adorable--
Grimacing, Eva shook her head in an attempt to rid herself of the thought and went to follow through with the instructions. Time to head back.

Jove, pouty like always, was about to give a single word greeting to the other students, when suddenly a gun was pointed at him. His eyes widened, and before he had another thought he found himself caught in a bag.
It might occur to him later that when the wind shifted, all four figures smelled the exact same way.

That was all they needed to catch? Jordan blinked. It sounded like ... maybe Julie wasn't going to dissect the fluffy little things after all. He had to admit that that was a relief. He hesitated just a moment, then headed over to deposit the bag, making sure the opening was firmly tied before he put it down. "Sorry, little guy," he said softly, forgetting that the golem was equipped with an earpiece. He straightened and went to find a spot to log out. [ Exiting]

Dakota sighed before even getting a chance to catch anything before two other Goldman got something instead. He gave them the thumbs up before hearing Julie.
"Over and outtttt." He grinned before ducking away somewhere to log out of his Golem.
