In the pokemon games there are many different methods of evolving your pokemon, these methods can range from getting your pokemon to a certain level, or trading them.

Point is, with so many methods of evolving, it is hard to remember which pokemon evolve in which ways. So for starters, here is a list of the different methods of evolving...

Raising Your Pokemon to a Certain Level

This level can range from species to species, however. This is the most common evolution method found in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. I'm not going to list the pokemon who evolve with this method because well...there are too many.

Here are some examples:

Charmander -- Lv 16 ---> Charmeleon
Charmeleon -- Lv 36 ---> Charizard
Dratini -- Lv 30 ---> Dragonair

Using Stones to Evolve Your Pokemon

Throughout Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, you will come across many different kinds of stones that you keep in your item pouch.

These stones include...
~Moon Stone
~Sun Stone
~Water Stone
~Leaf Stone
~Fire Stone
~Thunder Stone
~Shiny Stone
~Dusk Stone
~Dawn Stone

To use a stone...First, you must open your bag and select the stone that you wish to use. Then, select the use button and choose the pokemon you would like to use it on. The stone will only work on pokemon that can evolve using a stone. Once a stone is used, the stone is gone, so be sure to use them wisely.

Pokemon who evolve using the moon stone:
Nidorina-->Nidoqueen
Nidorino-->Nidoking
Clefairy-->Clefable
Jigglypuff-->Wigglytuff
Skitty-->Delcatty

Pokemon who evolve using the sun stone:
Gloom-->Bellossom
Sunkern-->Sunflora

Pokemon who evolve using the water stone:
Poliwhirl-->Poliwrath
Shellder-->Cloyster
Staryu-->Starmie
Eevee-->Vaporeon
Lombre-->Ludicolo

Pokemon who evolve using the leaf stone:
Gloom-->Vileplume
Weepinbell-->Victreebel
Exeggcute-->Exeggutor
Nuzleef-->Shiftry
Lombre-->Ludicolo

Pokemon who evolve using the fire stone:
Vulpix-->Ninetails
Growlithe-->Arcanine
Eevee-->Flareon

Pokemon who evolve using the thunder stone:
Pikachu-->Raichu
Eevee-->Jolteon

Pokemon who evolve using the shiny stone:
Roselia-->Roserade
Togetic-->Togekiss

Pokemon who evolve using the dusk stone:
Misdreavus-->Mismagius
Murkrow-->Honchkrow

Pokemon who evolve using the dawn stone:
Kirlia (Male)-->Gallade
Snorunt (Female)-->Froslass

Having a High Friendship Level With Your Pokemon

Another method of evolving your pokemon is obtaining a high relationship level with that pokemon. However, not all pokemon evolve by friendship. In fact, only 9 pokemon evolve with friendship.

To gain a high friendship with a pokemon, there are a few simple methods.
These methods are...
-Walk with your pokemon
-Battle with your pokemon
-Feed your pokemon with poffin that they like
-Give your pokemon items to hold
-Give your pokemon a sooth bell to hold
-Give your pokemon massages

As said above, there are only 9 pokemon who evolve with a high friendship level. Out of these 9 pokemon, 4 of them must have the friendship level at a certain time of the day. Here is a list of each evolution based off of friendship:

Munchlax-->Snorlax: high friendship
Golbat-->Crobat: high friendship
Togepi-->Togetic: high friendship
Chansey-->Blissey: high friendship
Buneary-->Lopunny: high friendship
Eevee-->Espeon: high friendship within the hours of 4am to 8pm
Riolu-->Lucario: high friendship within the hours of 4am to 8pm
Eevee-->Umbreon: high friendship within the hours of 8pm to 4am
Chingling-->Chimecho: high friendship withing the hours of 8pm to 4am

Have Certain Stats Upon the Evolution Level

As of now, there is only one pokemon who has different evolutions according to its stats and that pokemon is Tyrogue. To be honest, the process of evolving Tyrogue seems complicated, but its an easy concept to grasp.

Evolving Tyrogue to Hitmonlee:
If you wish to evolve your Tyrogue into a Hitmonlee, your Tyrogue's attack stat must be higher than its defense stat at level 20, which is Tyrogue's evolution level.

Evolving Tyrogue to Hitmonchan:
If you wish to evolve your Tyrogue into a Hitmonchan, your Tyrogue's defense stat must be higher than its attack stat at level 20, which is Tyrogue's evolution level.

Evolving Tyrogue to Hitmontop:
If you wish to evolve your Tyrogue into a Hitmontop, your Tyrogue's attack and defense stat must be equal to each other at level 20, which again, is Tyrogue's evolution level.

To make it simpler:
Attack>Defense------Hitmonlee
AttackAttack=Defense------Hitmontop

Pokemon That Evolve With Party Requirements

In Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, there are 2 specific pokemon who are known to evolve with certain party requirements. These pokemon are Mantyke and Nincada.

Evolving Mantyke to Mantine:
To evolve Mantyke into a Mantine, you must have a Remoraid in your part and when Mantyke grows a level, it will evolve into a Mantine.

Evolving Nincada to Ninjask AND Shedinja:
Normally, when a Nincada grows to level 20, it evolves into a Ninjask. However, with the right conditions, your Nincada can evolve into both a Ninjask AND Shedinja. For this to happen, you must have an empty slot in your party, and an empty pokeball in your bag. Once Nincada grows to level 20 with these requirements, it will show it evoving into a Ninjask. When you look at your party, however, you will have a Ninjask in Nincada's slot, and a Shedinja in the once empty slot.

Pokemon That Evovle With a Maximum Beauty Stat

In Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, there is only one pokemon known that evolves by maximizing the beauty stat and that pokemon is Feebass.

In order to evolve Feebass to Milotic, you must make plenty of dry-flavored poffin and feed them to Feebass until the beauty stat is maxed out.

The best berries to use to make dry poffin are the razz berry and the pamtre berry.

Evolving Pokemon With Their Cloak

In Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, there is one pokemon who wears a cloak that can change depending on its location. That pokemon is Burmy; and as much as I would love to, I'm not going to get into how its cloak can change.

The three cloaks that Burmy can wear are the Plant Cloak, Sandy Cloak, and Trash Cloak. However, Burmy's evolution is a bit more complicated than that. No matter what cloak, male Burmy always evolve into Mothim, a Bug/Flying type.

For the female Burmy, there are three possible forms of Wormadam for Burmy to evolve into at level 20. The first form is the bug/plant Wormadam, which wears the Plant Cloak. The second form is the bug/ground Wormadam, which wears the Sandy Cloak. The third and last form is the bug/steel Wormadam, which wears the Trash Cloak.

Male Burmy Evolution:
Burmy+Plant Cloak=Mothim
Burmy+Sandy Cloak=Mothim
Burmy+Trash Cloak=Mothim

Female Burmy Evolution:
Burmy+Plant Claok=Bug/Plant Wormadam
Burmy+Sandy Cloak=Bug/Ground Wormadam
Burmy+Trash Cloak=Bug/Steel Wormadam

Evolving Pokemon by Teaching them a Certain Attack

In Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, there are certain moves that can cause certain pokemon to evolve when learned. These moves are AncientPower, Mimic, Rollout, and Double Hit. The pokemon who can evolve by learning a move are Piloswine, Mime Jr., Bonsly, Aipom, Lickitung, Tangela, and Yanma. Once you teach one of these pokemon their respeced attack, they should evolve either after they learn the attack, or at their next level.

Pokemon that evolve with AncientPower:
Piloswine-->Mamoswine
Tangela-->Tangrowth
Yanma-->Yanmega

Pokemon that evolve with Mimic:
Mime Jr.-->Mr. Mime
Bonsly-->Sudowoodo

Pokemon that evolve with Rollout:
Lickitung-->Lickilicky

Pokemon that evolve with Double Hit:
Aipom-->Ambipom

Evolving Pokemon With Hold Items

In Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, there are three hold items that can evolve certain pokemon. These hold items are the Razor Fang, the Razor Claw, and the Oval Stone. The pokemon who can evolve by holding their respective item are Sneasel, Gligar, and Happiny.

To evolve Sneasel:
To evolve Sneasel into Weavile, you must give Sneasel the Razor Claw to hold and level it up within the hours of 8pm to 4am. Your Sneasel should evolve after growing that level.

To evolve Gligar:
To evolve Gligar into Gliscor, you must give Gligar the Razor Fang to hold and level it up within the hours of 8pm to 4am. Your Gligar should evolve upon leveling up.

To evolve Happiny:
To evolve Happiny into Chansey, you must give Happiny the Oval Stone to hold and level it up within the hours of 4am and 8pm. Your Happiny should evolve upon leveling up.

Using Special Rocks for Evolution

In Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, there are two EEVEElutions that can only be obtained by leveling Eevee up near a special rock. These two eeveelutions are Glaceon and Leafeon.

To obtain Leafeon, you must level your Eevee up near the Moss Rock located in the western area of Eterna Forest.

To obtain Glaceon, you must level your Eevee up near the Ice Rock on route 217 neer Snowpoint City.

Leveling Up at Mount Coronet

In Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, there are two pokemon who evolve by leveling up at Mount Coronet. These pokemon are Nosepass and Magneton.

Nosepass+Mount Coronet-->Probopass
Magneton+Mount Coronet-->Magnezone

I just remade the thread so the avatar that had it wasn't naked. I'll be updating it over the rest of the month.
