Things to Know About Horty
(The just in case you need to know for the rare rp where it actually matters more than passing ("Oh, there's my master, with his plants, again. What is he thinking keeping that ivy?")
~I suspect I'm narcoleptic to some extent, and so claim I am and occasionally act it, both in rp and in thread.
~I'm a book nerd. I have books, and plants. Dur. Expect these things near me..
~ I don't dress fancy.
~ I like jackets.
~ I have manners, they're habit, ingrained. Don't expect me to not use them. Sometimes they go from general-gentleman manners to outdated-midieval miladies and partial bows. That bit is from reading too much, sorry. (seriously, I realized this when I noticed I don't smile or say hello to my teachers, I do the respectful nod thing.)
~ I think that covers any little thing that would pop up needing to know, if it even does. Stay away from rping me for the most part except casual kay? you don't need to know my hair color, or jacket color, just go "Oh there's Horty, with his plants and books, and that looks a very comfy jacket, I think I'll curl up on top of it if he sets it down" with your 'phox if needed.
Journal/ RP Notes:
~Feel free to whap me upside the head and correct me if I do something wrong or anything, I won't mind, and everyone makes mistakes.
~ Please Check each 'phoxes info post to see if that particular one is open for rp, as some may not be because they have no personality formatted yet, are already in two or more rp's, or other various reasons. It will help preserve my sanity to have a way to help limit the number of rp's I am in, which includes rp's from other shops, and I've heard from some friends it can add up fast. This also gives me time to add a journal for 'phoxes once they finish an rp to record their general thoughts. I will probably not rp all my 'phoxes if I get many.
~I like to rp, but I don't go by a 'every post needs to be a paragraph' credo. An rp post should be as long as it needs to be, according to the situation, your character's reaction, and the speed at which the action is happening at that point in the rp. Basically, I support rp's with posts of varied lenghts, from sentence long posts, to two or more paragraphs, it's as the situation calls. c:
~I habitually rp in 3rd person, it's habit. If you want to rp in 3rd person, 1st person, or whatever, it's fine with me, as long as I can tell your meaning and all. c: I do suggest for any rp contest entries we stick to the same point of view, to make it look nicer. Which point of view can be discussed with open and even minds.
~Each 'phox has an info post, where you will find their cert, info on how the 'phox was obtained, their rp status, a list of links to their journals, and a list of links to the rp's they have participated in or rp logs (posted here not on yahoo or something) for IM rp. I do not include a bio here, as I let the 'phox themselves tell you about them-self in their own journals.
~ My 'phoxes journals are written in first person, because even if they cannot write, they are the ones telling what they think, how they feel, and their story. It's a good writing exercise for me, and more 'polite' to the 'phoxes themselves.
~I organize my journal like this with links so I can post things as they come, and not have to worry about saving posts for later use. ;P

Journal Name: Rhina Season: Aft-Winter Entry #: 1 Misc. Notes: Jed has been busy, and made some new friends. I don't mind, it's kept him out of the house long enough for me to get on the computer and research. I haven't met anyone yet, looking forward to that. Hopefully I'll find someone interesting. Entry: Greetings, to anyone who finds this and reads it. It's very lovely to meet you. My name is Rhina, I'm one of those creatures you may call a Chlorophox. I know some of you will be surprised, that a 'lowly' animal could speak, or even write (to be honest I am using my master's computer to type this, it is much easier to carefully hit buttons than to hold something to write, opposable thumbs you see.), but I assure you, we 'phoxes are just as intelligent as you. In fact you'll probably find we're a big help, as well as a scientifically interesting species. For instance, myself, I am part 'animal', a fox base, but I am a chlorophox, and so part plant. Through my veins runs chlorophyll, much like you have red blood vessels. Additionally, I am part fish, or shark to be specific, so I am plant, mammal, and fish, all in one. No, please don't touch me, I am part shark, my skin is rather sharp, but don't worry, I'm not one of those ravenous kinds. I'm a whale shark, one of the largest animals on the planet, and one of the largest fish. But that is just what kind I am, I'm obviously not as big as a normal whale shark, or I would never fit into Jed's middling-sized apartment. I am a touch larger than normal though. But that's not even the most interesting thing! I Speak English, because of Jed who found me, and 'phoxspeak, because I am a chlorophox, but I also speak sharkspeak! Which is close enough to fishspeak that I can make out what they say, and partially make myself understood to them. Isn't that amazing? I can speak to three separate species fluently! And other 'phoxes specialize in other languages as well! Isn't it amazing? Just imagine the impact to the global community we 'phoxes make. Not only do we help reduce smog and pollution in cities and around the planet, but we provide the ability to communicate between species. You lost your cat? Look no further than a cat-based 'phox to help you ask around on where they've gone. And if that dog barking up the street means his young master needs help we can get it. No no no, I'm not trying to brag, I'm trying to act as a scientist here you see. I want to share what I know, and I want to help you humans out. I want to make people feel happier when they are sad, and make happiness into joy, or at least lasting contentment. I know I probably can't help everyone, but I can try at least can't I? Well.... Thank you, if anyone managed to find this and read it, for doing so. I hope you'll come back again when something has happened to me, I can't wait to have more to write about! Rhina
