As Tegi made his way well into the open area he let out a sigh of relief. Slipping down to the courtyard without being challenged or tempted to cause trouble was quite the chore, but it was well worth it: He couldn’t remember exactly when he’d last been under sky instead of ceiling tile. The ground met Tegi’s side as he flopped over lazily and rolled around until finally sprawling out and inspecting the improvised bandage lacing his hand. Why did that girl care about his wellbeing? And adversely, what would have happened if she hadn’t stepped forward to help? The true answers would never be known, but what he did know was that he owed her more than a simple ‘thank you’. Out of the corner of his eye Tegi noticed someone else enjoying the patch of false freedom, someone who he’d never seen before. The glint of a blade made him smirk a little.
Should I?...YEA-- No….wait….
The young undertaker would probably be fun to toy with, though it would be risky. He stayed in place with his eyes to the clouds as he fought over what do, slowly becoming oblivious to the rest of the world.

The sound of the other deadman's music dully reached his ears along with the few muttered verses that spilled off her tongue. Tegi closed his eyes and relaxed even more, letting the warmth from the sun soak him. If she was going to accompany him then there was no use keeping on his toes. Meeting the girl in the distance could wait a bit longer. As sleep washed over him the courtyard’s grass fell to what felt like darkness itself, and being entwined in the shadows seemed to last forever. That was, until a faint, bitter smell from upwind dragged him back to the beautiful yet harsh reality that he had to live with.
That’s weird, it almost smells like….almonds?
He opened one eye and glanced back at Retra. No, he would have smelt it before if she had anything to do with it. The prison having almonds there of all places was a high doubt too. Tegi rolled to his stomach and tried to figure out the general direction the wind raced from, but without another gust starting up he grew frustrated and gave up. Both pink orbs flicked back to Retra.
"I know I have a few screws lose , but… did you smell that too?"
He rested his head on his arms, being sure to pay mind to the wrapped hand that already sported a reddish stain.

((Fun fact: Cyanide gives off a bitter, almond like odor that only about 40% of people can detect. So those handy dandy blades if still laced in KCN have a very nice smell to them emotion_yatta ))

Tegi's eyes drifted to the grass in front of him as he thought further into it. He realized that almonds were an unusual smell to take in from where they were, but for something so light to stir him out of sleep it had to be close. He drew in another breath, picking up only the smell of the green blades beneath him. That meant it had to be upwind, though he didn't know which way that was exactly.
"I doubt a smell could travel that far. Especially one that faint. I’m sure it-"
He stopped mid-sentence and looked back up with a look of absolute confusion.
“Wait a minute; you’ve been in the park?! I thought we weren’t allowed to go there since we’re… well… glitched.“
He signaled to the stain on the bandage at the last word. Some people didn’t take being called a demon, monster, or freak well. Hell, some girls would even get offended with being called deadmen but that wasn’t Tegi’s main concern. Blurting out that he was a deadman would make messing with the undertaker that was further off less fun. Since he never saw her before chances were that she had no clue who or what he was either.

A reserved section of the park? The prison was even more confusing than Tegi thought.
“Well, I guess after all that I’ve put the guards through it would make sense not to tell me.”
Ever since he was placed in Deadman Wonderland Tegi was a nuisance. The prison was like his playground, and there was plenty to get into. Most of the time it wasn’t to find much of anything, but more to cause trouble and to find a cure for boredom. The tracking system in the equipment around his neck often led to a messed up game of hide and seek, set off by a bout of mischief. The park was going to be explored eventually, but last time he’d wandered off he was snatched up by the collar and dragged back to his cell. Tegi laughed as he sat upright.
“I’ll take you up on your offer though. Any kind of limitations there? I’ll probably go against them, but it’s a nice thing to know.”

“Hmm, how should I put this…. I get bored easily. Sometimes I get into things that I shouldn’t and sometimes I play a few pranks. Causing 'trouble' is more fun than wasting away.”
He averted his eyes. Tegi wasn’t going to tell her about how sadistic some of his “pranks” were, nor was he going to talk about that side of him. Killing what upset him wasn’t always on purpose, but seeing blood from someone who, in his current mindset, had a reason to have it spilled was always enjoyable. Another game. Another instance of a room or hallway being a canvas. Another reason to be called a demon or monster.
“There’s that and instability is my middle name with how my branch is tied with my emotional fits. Unfortunately there’s not always someone or something to calm me down before things get bad… me being faster than them doesn’t do much good either…”
It probably wasn't the best thing to mention with just being told what all he couldn't do, but why not? She did ask, and he did answer. Tegi's smile returned after thinking a while.
“As long as I’m in a good mood I’ll be fine, being in an amusement park of all places should help with that.”

Mere? Eh, I guess it’s better if she doesn’t know the nasty little details.
He picked himself up off the ground and followed her as told. Getting to the park was easy, but knowing what part was the right part was the problem.

Raven sighed, walking out to the courtyard. "Not that many people here...Alright." She thought shrugging to herself. "What is it with that Aito kid... What's his game... His angle..." She suspiciously pondered on. "Whatever...Hmm, I wonder..." Quickly becoming bored of the same scenery she left.
