I bought a box of Raptors for my chess board and thought I'd paint up the particular guy holding the Flamer in an alternated paint scheme, though it may have been done plenty of other times. I'm working on layering brighter colors for the flame, so from Scab Red to yellow, the left paldron will probably get a little bit of white as well.

Please give C&C, though I've only gotten the base-color and the start of the flames.

The flames are well-patterned, but the red is kinda bland. Thought about painting the flames in a dark orange, or a fade from yellow to red?

The flames are well-patterned, but the red is kinda bland. Thought about painting the flames in a dark orange, or a fade from yellow to red?

I'm actually doing layers, leaving some of the under-layer exposed until I'm down to a bright yellow and only adding a little bit. I'm also doing an inverse for my new Chaos army of Company of Misery, as it's supposed to be black flame over blood-red.
