What is a Sailor Senshi?

Sailor Senshi are magical guardians tasked with protecting a celestial body in space, known as their Homeworld. Senshi Starseeds are very in tune with the core of their homeworld and draw their power from the same source as the world itself. Each Senshi has an individual sphere of power that their magic is based off of. Senshi may have varying sorts of magic; some senshi may have illusion based magic, some may heal, some may cause offensive damage, some defensive--there seems to be no limit to the type of magic a Senshi has, but their abilities are always tied into their sphere. Every Senshi has a homeworld in space but has been reborn on Earth to help combat the growing Chaos that threatens not only Earth, but the whole universe. In times long past, Senshi filled many roles on these homeworlds: they may have been soldiers, civilians, religious figures, or rulers, but all of them shared the ability to use magic to defend their world.

Senshi are an Order faction and are typically considered a morally good faction. This does not mean that there won't be exceptions, but for the most part they are fighting for the good of the world. Their goal is to fight the growing Chaos on Earth through whatever means necessary--be it by destroying, purifying, or imprisoning the forces of Chaos. Individual Senshi may have individual goals; there is no set leadership that Senshi must follow. Sailor Cosmos, Guardian of Starseeds and the Galaxy Cauldron, comes to them in times of need but she does not appear as any sort of leadership figure. Senshi operate individually and may form Teams, Courts, or other alliances to help suit their individual goals.

Order Senshi are also referred to as 'White Moon Senshi'.

Senshi powers and abilities are tied into the age they are upon awakening. Senshi can awaken between the ages of 7-27, and depending on what age they were when awakened, their powers will manifest with different strengths. Senshi awakened between the ages of 7-13 are considered Chibi Senshi and, while uncorruptable, are considered Senshi in training and do not have access to their true strength. Senshi who awaken between the ages of 14-20 are considered the baseline for Senshi; these are the standard Senshi! Senshi that are awakened between ages 21-27 will have noticeably fluctuating magic. This may mean that their magic manifests weaker than how it is stamped and has many irregularities and oddities. These Senshi have awakened past their ‘prime’ and their starseeds have become slightly toxic due to the buildup of untapped energy. Both Chibi Senshi and Senshi who have awakened later can complete a ritual to access their full potential, and more information about this can be found below!

All Senshi must be awakened by an Order Mauvian; Mauvians are Guardian Cats who have the ability to sense a civilians’ untapped potential and awaken them into Senshi. These Mauvians will provide newly awakened Senshi with the Henshin Pen they need to power up into Sailor Scouts, the phrase they need to power up, and can also help them learn their Senshi names and Spheres. Mauvians are also necessary to upgrade awakened Senshi into new stages of power; they can sense the charged potential of Senshi who are ready to grow and can unlock their Henshin pen to allow them to tap into that new power!

A group of Senshi can also come together to form a Court and unlock additional abilities!

Senshi Accessories

There are two very important tools all Senshi have access to immediately upon awakening: their Henshin Pen and their Senshi Cell Phone. The Mauvian who awakens a Senshi will be tasked with pulling these items out of a magical subspace. When they sense that a Senshi is ready to awaken they can call upon these items to give to them. A Senshi can only have one Henshin Pen and one Phone; these items are unique to them and cannot be replicated, so if they are lost there is no replacing them. If either are ever damaged, any Order Mauvian is capable of making repairs!

Henshin Pen

A Henshin pen is a small, compact tool that a civilian should keep on them and use to power up into their Senshi form. It has no other function or purpose than to allow a Senshi to access their powered form, and should look similar to the Henshin Pens used by the canon Sailor Scouts. As the Senshi grows in power, the pen will change along with them. These pens do not naturally change; a Mauvian must sense when a Senshi is ready to unlock the next stage of power. The Mauvian will manually update the pen and return it to the Senshi. A Senshi will only ever have one Henshin Pen; they are incredibly sturdy and cannot be easily broken.

The exception to needing an upgrade to the Henshin Pen to unlock the next stage of power is a Royal Senshi; their starseed will resonate and unlock a new stage of power on its own if a Senshi ever reaches this stage. Their Henshin pen will not change if they unlock their Royal stage.

Senshi cannot power up if they do not have their Henshin Pen; civilians must carry their pen to access their Senshi stage, however once they have powered up, the Henshin Pen will safely disappear to their subspace unless the Senshi then manually summons it.

Henshin Pens do not have an aura; because they are carried while in civilian form, they need to be discreet. Senshi cannot have an alternate transformation tool; they cannot have a Henshin Brooch or a Henshin Bracelet, for example. While Pens may be unique to the Senshi, they cannot be modified into any other shape or form.

Senshi Phone

Senshi Cellphones are very similar to normal cellphones and can be used to make phone calls, take pictures and videos, and send texts--but only to other magical phones or communication devices. They cannot be reached with a regular cell phone because they operate on a magical frequency. These phones can only be used while in powered form and will disappear into Subspace when not in use, or when the Senshi powers down.

All Senshi start out with a very basic flip phone design, however upon awakening, a Mauvian can immediately upgrade it.

Senshi Phones have a variety of apps, some that come preloaded on the phone and others which are made by other Senshi or Mauvians and are available for download. A list of apps and full abilities, as well as a CYO template for Senshi Phones, can be found in Senshi Cell Phones Information thread! Senshi can use their phone to ‘register’ Order allies; by taking a picture of a Senshi or Knight character it adds them to their contact list. While Senshi and Knights do not operate with the same communication system, a Knight can write a note for a Senshi and the Senshi will receive it as a text message; a Senshi can text a Knight and the Knight will receive it in the form of a letter from their Signet Ring. When a phone scans an order ally, it is usually scanning their ‘contact information’; for Senshi, this usually scans their phone, and for Knights it scans their ring. This function does not work for any Corrupted character, as they do not have compatible communication devices. ‘Scanning’ an Order ally does not provide extra information about them; you will have a picture of them and their name. Some Senshi may choose to provide more information, such as their Sphere or some information, but this is player choice and should be discussed in roleplay.

One of the most important features of the Senshi Phone is the the ‘Home’ button; pressing this button and concentrating will allow a Senshi to teleport directly to their homeworld. As a senshi grows in rank, they can travel to their Homeworld more frequently. If a senshi does not have the strength to go to their homeworld (such as during their OOC a cooldown for visits), the app will be grayed out and will not respond.

A moon pearl charm can be hung from a Senshi Phone and will allow Senshi to travel to the moon the day before the full moon, the day of, and the day after. These pearls must be obtained from a guardian cat, who can get them from a jar full of them in the Mauvian Headquarters. Once a Senshi Cellphone has been updated, the Moon Pearl simply merges into an app that can be accessed like their 'Home' button and can teleport them to the Moon Palace. If the character did not receive a Moon Pearl before upgrading, they can simply download the app and have immediate access without locating a Mauvian. More information about the Moon Palace can be found here.

Senshi phones will work just about anywhere, however they work best while on Destiny City and closest to the Mauvian Headquarters; the Senshi Phone system and service is provided by the local Order Mauvians. While phones will typically still work in space, some functions may be limited or delayed. Text messages should still send, but there may be a slight delay in when they are received; phone calls may be made, however it is also possible that calls will only sound staticky and they may drop frequently.

If a Senshi is sent a message to their phone while they are powered down and in their civilian form, they may feel a strange buzzing or sound in the back of their mind indicating that they need to power up to receive a message.

Subspace

Subspace is a little pocket dimension that Senshi can utilize for storing items. This functions essentially as a miniature storage unit and is roughly the size of a backpack. Senshi can access this immediately upon awakening and will have an innate understanding of how to reach it, put something in, and pull something out. All sorts of items can be stored here, such as first aid kits or snacks. Any perishable food will deteriorate at the same rate it would on Earth; things will continue to age while in subspace, and living creatures cannot be sent to subspace. Subspace cannot hold any weapons, and is only accessible by the Senshi it belongs to. To summon an item from subspace, the Senshi simply needs to focus on the item and it will be drawn into their hand. Similarly, to send something to subspace, the Senshi needs only to imagine and focus on mentally tucking it away there.

Growth and Stages

About the Basic Senshi

As a basic level senshi you have access to a few unique powers and abilities. At this stage you will begin your journey into fighting Chaos and protecting the world. Your main goal should be staying alive and introducing yourself to your new Senshi powers. These abilities are for Senshi that awakened between the ages of 14-20 or for Senshi who have created the necessary Growth Rituals to access standard magic!

Powers

As a Basic Senshi, you are just entering the war but you still have a chance to make a big impact! You have access to the following abilities:

    • You have a basic attack which can help dust youma, but against another powered individual is not lethal under any circumstances.
    • You gain a natural durability that makes your body more resilient to physical attacks. Senshi uniforms make them naturally more resilient to natural weather conditions as well!
    • You are now capable of jumping 2-3 stories high (maximum) and have an increased speed of 2x your normal civilian pace. At this stage, you also gain 1.25x your normal civilian strength.
    • You may travel to your planet once every three weeks. You may take up to one guest with you when you visit your Homeworld, however this is incredibly draining and it is recommended that you travel alone a few times before taking guests just to better prepare your body for the strain! Mauvians do not count towards a Senshi's guest count due to the Mauvian technology involved in their transportation method.

Fuku/Uniform

Full requirements for all stages can be found in the Custom Procedure Thread. Uniforms typically get more detailed as Senshi rank up, so as a first rank Senshi you should typically have the most basic version of your outfit

    • Must have some kind of collar be it the traditional Sailor collar, a modified version of the collar, or a scarf or wrap that suits that purpose. A collar is defined as something easily identifiable on the senshi, that exists below their chin and at or above their shoulders. A choker or thin necklace wouldn't count; there are a lot of options for a collar as long as it meets the above criteria, however it should also not be easily confused with another uniform piece.
    • Must have some form of tiara, usually like the traditional Sailor Moon tiara. Headpieces such as hats, bandanas, or other hair accessories may be used in place of a traditional tiara, but they must be easily identifiable and worn atop the head or over the forehead.
    • Must have chest and butt bows of some kind. A chest bow may be substituted by a similar accessory (such as a tie) but must be obviously present and be a distinctive part of the uniform. Sashes or another easily identifiable accessory around the waist/butt area are permissible in places of butt bows.
    • Must have a brooch in the center of the chest bow.
    • Must have dominantly white/cream/off-white/variant of white bodice. This also means that the bodice should not be obstructed by other colors or layers in such a way that makes it difficult to see. The bodice is identified as the lowest layer of fabric worn over the chest.

Growth and Stages

About the Supers

At this stage you have begun to comfortably grasp your role and are coming to terms with your new powers. As a Super Senshi you are stronger and more resilient.

Powers

As a Super Senshi, your physical and magical abilities improve and you have access to the following abilities:

    • You have an increased speed of 2.5x your normal civilian pace. At this stage, you also gain 1.5x your normal civilian strength.
    • In addition to your basic magic, You have access to your Super stage magic, which is a stronger and more effective version of your Basic Senshi magic. It is easier to dust Youma and defend yourself against other powered characters.
    • You can cast both your basic and super stage magic in battle! It may be a bit exhausting at first, but you can use multiple spells in battle.
    • You may now travel to your planet once every two weeks. You can comfortably bring one guest, but two guests may be very draining. This will become easier with practice! Mauvians do not count towards a Senshi's guest count due to the Mauvian technology involved in their transportation method.

Fuku/Uniform

Your uniform will become more ornate than your basic stage, but still has the same requirements--and a little extra.

Full requirements for all stages can be found in the Custom Procedure Thread. As a Super Senshi, you should have an upgraded version of your Basic outfit.

    • Must have some form of tiara , usually like the traditional Sailor Moon tiara. Headpieces such as hats, bandannas, or other hair accessories may be used in place of a traditional tiara, but they must be easily identifiable and worn atop the head or over the forehead.
    • Must have chest and butt bows of some kind. A chest bow may be substituted by a similar accessory (such as a tie) but must be obviously present and be a distinctive part of the uniform. • Must have dominantly white/cream/off-white/variant of white bodice. This also means that the bodice should not be obstructed by other colors or layers in such a way that makes it difficult to see. The bodice is identified as the lowest layer of fabric worn over the chest.
    • At Super stage, all senshi bottoms must have two stripes, or multiple layers of fabric to denote rank. A sash or similar item is permissible.

About the Eternals

You have ascended to the highest rank most Senshi will ever reach: an Eternal. At this stage you have the ability to make a significant impact in the war. You are also at your prime to Transcend (if that path suits you).

Powers

As an Eternal Senshi, your physical and magical abilities improve and you have access to the following abilities:

    • Your speed has increased to bursts of up to 3x your normal civilian pace, and your natural agility has improved phenomenally, allowing you to respond quicker and with more dexterity. You are slightly more durable to physical attacks now, but Negaverse Generals have immense physical strength so you need to be careful. You gain 2x your normal civilian strength at this stage.
    • In addition to your Basic and Super magic, you also gain access to your Eternal magic, which is typically very powerful. It is incredibly draining to use all of your spells in one battle, but as you grow more accustomed to using your magic and settle into your new powers, using multiple spells will drain you less.
    • You may now travel to your planet once a week. You can comfortably bring two guests, but three may be very draining. This will become easier with practice! Mauvians do not count towards a Senshi's guest count due to the Mauvian technology involved in their transportation method.

Fuku/Uniform

Your uniform will become more ornate than your super stage, but still has the same requirements--and a little extra.

Full requirements for all stages can be found in the Custom Procedure Thread. As an Eternal Senshi, you should have an upgraded version of your Super Senshi outfit.

    • At Eternal stage, all senshi must have three stripes, or a tri-layer pair of bottoms in three varying colors. A sash or other decoration is permissible as well.
    • At Eternal stage, must have dual, white, fluffy butt wings that are small and decorative. No other color or type than these will be permissible.

About the Royals

Senshi Royals are Eternal Senshi who have gone above the call of duty and unlocked the power of their Royal Crystal. Senshi Princes and Princesses do not naturally gain authority among the Senshi ranks but can earn it among those that wish to follow them.

Powers

As a Royal Senshi, you have access not only to new magical attacks, but also several new abilities. While you match a General King and Queen in speed and agility, they outmatch you in raw strength. Royal Senshi have a much stronger energy signature so it can be dangerous to be in this form unless you need to access that power. Other changes include:

    • Your speed has increased to bursts of up to 3.5x your normal civilian pace. You are slightly more durable to physical attacks now. You gain 2.5x your normal civilian strength at this stage.
    • You have gained the power of your planet's crystal, giving you one extremely powerful attack. This magic is generally incredibly dangerous and cannot be used flippantly. Crystals are volatile things and do not respond with perfect ease as soon as you learn to access it. Practice makes perfect! This magic is so powerful that it must be approved by the staff before you use it in any shop hosted roleplay.
    • You have the ability to permanently dust youma. To do so, you must summon your tiara. You can use your tiara magic to do a long distance attack at a youma; when the tiara makes contact, it will automatically, permanently, dust the youma. Youma dusted in this method are permanently destroyed and cannot reform in the Rift. Tiara magic can only be used once per day and does not cause additional harm to non-youma characters, however if used on a non-youma character it may feel like a harsh push. Half-youma characters are affected no differently than every other non-youma character.
    • You gain an additional passive ability to aid you in battle; this is most often an ability that is subconsciously triggered or always in effect, depending on the ability. It can be used in battle and is an additional, lesser magic, designed to aid the Royal Senshi.
    • You may switch between your Eternal form and your Royal form at will to keep a low profile while still patrolling the city and keeping everyone safe. It is best to stay in your Eternal form because your Royal form emits a huge energy signature. You cannot use your Royal attack while in your Eternal form.
    • You have gained the ability to purify characters corrupted by Chaos. OOCly this always needs plot approval, and Royal Senshi cannot purify youma without the assistance of a Brigade or Court. Royal characters can purify without any repercussions approximately once every two weeks (any more than that can result in physical fatigue and other possible side effects that will need approval from The Space Cauldron. They can assist a Brigade or Court in purifying a youma or half-youma only once per month.
    • You may travel to your planet as often as you would like, and can take up to five people with you comfortably. You may take up to eight, but any more than five will leave you drained. Mauvians do not count towards a Senshi's guest count due to the Mauvian technology involved in their transportation method.
    • If you so choose you may work with the staff to create a type of Knight for your planet.
    • You gain the ability to grant extra magical protection to any starseed that is preparing for its journey back to the Cauldron, as outlined in the spoiler:
Upon coming into contact with a starseed that no can no longer return to its body, a Royal Senshi can sacrifice a small bit of their energy to provide a blessing of protection for the starseed before it begins its journey back to the Cauldron. This provides a small bubble around the starseed that serves as a magical shield, protecting it from outside threats. They are also granted increased speed to aid them in their journey back to the Cauldron.

While the starseed is granted increased durability and speed, the extra magic also allows the starseed the strength to speak one last final message. The starseed's owner can manifest as a ghostly apparition to deliver one final departing message to whoever was sending it off. The magic is enough to deliver one final message to the Royal Senshi, typically in the form of one final request, a word of thanks, a last goodbye, or some other meaningful message. There is not enough energy to allow for a conversation, but this would allow the Royal Senshi to see who the starseed belonged to and give them one last chance for closure.

If it is an unpowered civilian character, they will manifest as their civilian self; if it is a powered character, they can manifest as either or shift forms before the Royal Senshi to reveal their civilian identity if desired. If a disposable character is being used, please make sure to follow disposable rules and avoid using any real names or mentioning any spheres for these characters.

The final message should not reveal canon or meta information outside of what is ICly known, and the message will typically last for only a few seconds and typically not be more than a sentence or two; if there is need for anything longer, please contact the mule for plot approval!

This technique and ability is first discovered by Camelot, and our thanks goes to Lith for proposing the ability!

Fuku/Uniform

Each outfit is individualized to the Royal in question however there is one thing they all have in common! Each Senshi Royal has a full pair of white angelic wings somewhere on their back. These wings are lightly functional which means if you practice, you can glide with them from high places and under duress can hold yourself aloft for a few moments, roughly twenty feet in the air. You cannot fully fly but they are at least somewhat useful.

Growth and Stages

Senshi Variations

While there is typically a standard for all Senshi, there are some Senshi who do not exactly fit the mold as outlined above by nature of awakening under different circumstances. Chibi Senshi, and Senshi that awaken between the ages of 21-27, have specific rules they must be played with in addition to the traditional Senshi Rules. Deep Space Senshi have completely different backstories and may have different abilities; they are the only type of rare senshi and have special requirements to be played.

    Chibi Senshi

Chibi Senshi are considered senshi in training; they are often awakened because of a dire need for power at a young age, however their starseed is still fragile and developing so they do not have full access to their true power. A Chibi Senshi awakens between the ages of 7 and 13 years of age. They go through the same three stages as any other Senshi: Basic Senshi, Super Senshi, and Eternal Senshi, with corresponding powers and their own spheres!

Unless otherwise stated, all Chibi Senshi have the same rules and abilities as listed above!

      Chibi Specific Powers

      • Chibi Senshi do not get the same physical boost; they may get a very slight physical boost at first stage, 1.25x their normal civilian strength at Super stage, and 1.5x their civilian strength at Eternal stage.
      • Chibi Senshi get an alternate speed enhancement; rather than the standard Senshi enhancement, at basic stage they run 2.5x their normal civilian pace, at Super Stage they run 3x their normal civilian pace, and at Eternal Stage they run 3.5x their normal civilian pace.
      • Chibi senshi are more resistant to magic than other senshi. This means that magic used against them may be somewhat lessened, as a byproduct of their starseed’s protection.
      • Chibi senshi powers are weaker than those of their adult counterparts; their magic in no way compares to normal Senshi of the same rank. Chibi senshi are technically still in training. They are not full-fledged senshi and even at Eternal they are barely stronger than a skilled Super. In addition to being weaker than typical Senshi magic, Chibi magic often misfires or does not cast in the expected way.
      • Chibi senshi are uncorruptable. They are the closest to the Galaxy Cauldron, having barely come from it and are thus still imbued with the original purity. In other words, their star seeds are too pure for corruption to take hold. There are no exceptions to this.

      Chibi Art and Fuku/Uniform Requirements

      • Please see the design rules for respective stages as listed above! Chibi senshi follow the typical Senshi rules except have an additional rule that they cannot have revealing/risque outfits. They are children and should be dressed as such!
      • Chibi Senshi must use the Chibi Templates until they hit 14 years of age; even if they are still Chibi Senshi, they should then grow onto the regular templates.

      Chibi Growth Ritual

When a Chibi senshi reaches the age of fourteen they can complete a growth ritual to become a full fledged Senshi. The Growth ritual must take place on their Homeworld, and it is only through completing this ritual that the Chibi Senshi will gain access to their full potential. They will gain the typical Senshi abilities and will have access to their ‘real’ magic, which is much stronger than their approved Chibi magic. Characters who were stamped with Chibi Magic may also need to post for a Revision for their character to write more appropriate magic!

A Chibi’s Growth ritual will vary from person to person, but should always focus on ‘completing’ their training. This may be something symbolic or important to the chibi or player, or relevant to their aspirations or goals. Often these plots represent the Chibi unifying in some way with their Homeworld. Rituals may be based on customs from their past life that they recall in a memory, or may be completely new. Chibi Growth Ritual Plots must be sent in to The Space Cauldron for approval! These plots do not need to be detailed; a simple explanation of what you want your character to do, and what it symbolizes or means to them is enough! We just need to keep track of who is undergoing the ritual!

After a Chibi Senshi completes their growth ritual, they remain uncorruptable for six months afterwards; the magical protection on their starseed will fade over time.

    Late Blooming Senshi

Senshi that awaken between the ideal ages of 14-20 do so when the starseed has the most potential to sync and grow with them. Senshi that awaken between ages 21-27 will still have a starseed with the potential to awaken, however the starseed has spent a very influential time in the character's life dormant; this power has been growing but hasn't had an outlet. When a character awakens between age 21-27, their magic will, for a period of time, be erratic and more difficult to control as they adapt to the harbored energy they have just unleashed. Their magic will fluctuate between being weaker or stronger than how it was stamped, or their magic may manifest in abnormal ways, such as by attacking the wrong target, or manifesting with a more powerful effect but at the cost of reduced uses or draining the senshi to near exhaustion. These oddities may be handwaved but should be ICly noted by the character.

These starseeds are not as ‘loud’ as others, so without something to trigger the starseed to awaken, a Mauvian may not be able to feel its erratic pulsing as they would any other Senshi who is ready to awaken. Mauvians should be reluctant to awaken a starseed that seems so turbulent, so these characters should usually be awakened in dire situations that would necessitate the risk. There should be some element of danger that would justify a need to tap into that power! Mauvains should know that erratic starseeds may manifest with dangerous power, so they should handle with care.

The actual awakening feels no different and takes no more energy unless a player desires; these starseeds function erratically so there is wiggle room depending on plot and desire of players.

Late Blooming Senshi will not have any noticeable difference in their energy signatures; because their energy is constantly fluctuating during their basic stage, a player may have their energy signature occasionally seem stronger or weaker but this is not a necessity. Because these senshi should have become more in sync with their starseed and magic by Super Stage, once they grow and complete their ritual their energy signature should be identical to other Senshi.

Late Blooming Senshi have the same abilities and powers as a typical Senshi, but simply have to deal with the backlash of erratic magic!

      Late Blooming Senshi Ritual

By the time they are ready for their first upgrade and reach Super stage, Late Blooming Senshi should be ready to stabilize their starseed. To do this, they will need to travel to their Homeworld. It is only through completing this ritual and reaching Super stage that these Senshi can comfortably control their magic.

A Stabilization ritual will vary from person to person, but should always focus on bonding with their Homeworld. By being in sync with their world, they will also be in sync with their starseed.

This ritual should be something symbolic or important to the character or their Homeworld. Rituals may be based on customs from their past life that they recall in a memory, or may be completely new. They simply need to be a meaningful experience. All Stabilization Ritual plots must be sent in to The Space Cauldron for approval! These plots do not need to be detailed; a simple explanation of what you want your character to do, and what it symbolizes or means to them is enough! We just need to keep track of who is undergoing the ritual!

    Deep Space Senshi

Deep Space Senshi are rare characters and follow different rules than any other characters in the shop. As such, only players who have been active for three consecutive months, or who have at least one third stage character, are eligible to play one.

Deep Space Senshi are not born on Earth; these Senshi are aliens and as such can have some alien features. However, they must always be humanoid and have limitations to how alien they can be. These Senshi have been alive on their respective homeworlds since the fall of the Silver Millennium, or as recent as two hundred years ago. After the fall of the Silver Millennium, the universe suffered a steep decline in life and sustainability on worlds.

Populations fell and worlds had decreased sustainability; natural disasters might have become more common, crops might grow smaller and with less frequency, and worst of all--Chaos began to spread, and hastened their decline. Each world has an individual Chaos; it is not like any of the Chaos found on Earth and is not even remotely as powerful as the Negaverse, but it is enough that it has put a strain on the Core of the World. This Chaos might commonly manifest as a plague, a sickness, or any other disease that can spread through the population or infect the world itself. It should not be militarized or be comparable to the Negaverse; it cannot pull starseeds or corrupt people into creatures like youma, or powered individuals like Negaverse Agents or Corrupted Senshi, but it can affect morality, mood, and health. The Chaos should not be a single entity (such as Metallia) but should be a widespread Chaos that pollutes and destroys. It may have some magical powers, to be discussed with players on an individual basis, but it would not be uncommon for this Chaos to play mind-tricks on people or try to use their weakness against them, but it does not have a personality and should not be played as a character as it is simply a chaotic force.

Deep Space Senshi may come into play having previously reached the rank of Eternal Senshi, but because of this Chaos and the weakened strength of their world, they have lost access to those powers. They will come into play as Basic Senshi but will have full knowledge of their abilities. They will have the same growth requirements as regular Senshi, and will have the same erratic magic fluctuations as Late Blooming Senshi: their magic will fluctuate between being weaker or stronger than how it was stamped, or their magic may manifest in abnormal ways, such as by attacking the wrong target, or manifesting with a more powerful effect but at the cost of reduced uses or draining the senshi to near exhaustion. These oddities may be handwaved but should be ICly noted by the character.

They will grow stronger on Earth and should take their restored strength back to their Homeworld to combat the Chaos there. By the time they reach third stage, they should be preparing to fight the Chaos--hopefully with the allies they’ve made along the way. Only third stage Deep Space Senshi are eligible to defeat the Chaos, and they must send in a plot to do so. This should be done with at least a few other people and cannot be done alone. Deep Space Senshi must destroy the Chaos on their world before they can unlock life on their Homeworlds, or the ability to achieve a sustainable world.

        Alien Biology

Players will be able to create their own alien species but there are some major restrictions. Deep Space Senshi share the same limitations that Past Life Senshi could have. In ordinary circumstances, they can have lifespans of a few hundred years (typically no more than 500) but due to the instability on their worlds, their Homeworld has been siphoning extra energy into them to try and combat the Chaos. Characters would have stopped aging when the Chaos infected their world, and they will remain in an ageless stasis until they come to Earth, where they begin aging normally again.

Deep Space Aliens should function similarly to humans; though they may be more or less resistant to things like weather, seasons, allergies, poisons, etc. They should not be stronger or more physically capable, or have any alien features that would give them an advantage on Earth (such as gills that let them breathe underwater, or eyesight that lets them see in the dark). They should be nearly identical as humans internally, and should not have extra or altered organs, should have human blood-types, and should generally be receptive to the same types of treatments and medications as a human. They should not have any magical abilities, such as shape-shifting, but they may have limited biological abilities that can be observed in nature (such as bioluminescence) that manifest while on their Homeworld. They may have nonhuman abilities that manifest while they are on their Homeworlds, but this should not be assumed and needs explicit approval. They may have alien features that give them an advantage on their homeworld (such as gills that let them breathe underwater on their world but due to a difference in aquatic composition, they cannot on Earth; or, they may have enhanced eyesight that lets them see in the dark on their world due to an increased flow of power by nature of being on their world). These must be approved by staff prior to coming into play.

In powered art, Deep Space Senshi:

          • Must be humanoid, bipedal characters.

          • Can have vibrant or non-human colored skin, textured skin, animal or fantasy ears that are close in size to a human’s, or non-human pupils without extra approval. Skin textures or patterns should not be mistaken for Transcended or Ascended markings. Anything that can easily be hidden with a glamour and does not add additional features (such as extra appendages) does not have limitations.

          • Fur and scales may cover up 10% of their body and not tie into the 15% of extra appendages they are permitted.

          • May have animal or fantasy-like features, but extra features or appendages should be no more than 15% of their body in art. This means, extra appendages should only take up about as much space on the art as the character’s arm.

          • Can have extra cosmetic features or appendages. Extra features or appendages might include horns or antlers (that are either dulled or too sensitive to be used as weapons) that are no more than half a foot in length and width, fangs (that could reasonably fit in a human mouth and cannot be used to do extra damage), or tails (prehensile tails would not be permitted; the tails can swish or move but cannot be used to grab anything or lash out to do damage). Deep Space Senshi may have wings, but these must be small and can flutter but cannot be capable of flight. They cannot be mistaken for Eternal Senshi wings; they should be smaller than standard Eternal Senshi wings and should not be located below the shoulder blades. They can be black or white and feathered, or be bat wings, but they must not look like Eternal Senshi wings.

          • Cannot have additional arms, legs, or largely altered appendages/limbs. They should not have additions that would give them a battle advantage (such as larger hands to do more blunt force damage, or differently shaped feet that allow them to run faster).

Players must be willing to work with staff when it comes to art; they are encouraged to outline the features they want for the art before getting an artist to work on it. All Deep Space Senshi designs must be approved by staff, whether they are MYOs or done on templates. Deep Space Senshi do not need to look abnormal or nonhuman; they can pass for human if a player chooses; if they do not have any alien features, they do not need extra approval.
If they cannot pass for Human as soon as they arrive on Earth, Deep Space Senshi will need to meet with a Mauvian to receive an item that allows them to take on a human glamour while powered down if they choose. When they power up, they will appear in their natural form and cannot wear any sort of glamour to conceal this.

        Homeworld Lore

There is extreme flexibility in how a player wants to write their Homeworld Lore, but there are a few important things to keep in mind!

The Homeworld will have had no contact from any external worlds since the fall of the Silver Millennium. They would have been isolated, typically by the Chaos that was polluting the world. They would not have been able to have communication off of the Homeworld and would not have been able to leave or accept visitors. Senshi would have no idea what happened to the outside universe between then and now.

Homeworlds must have fallen into decline and lost their ability to support life; there should have been notable population decrease and ability to support life beginning after the fall of the Silver Millennium and spanning until roughly a hundred years ago, at which point in time there should be no population remaining but the Senshi. By present day, the world would be in its final stages of life. The population should have dwindled to nothing, and animals should have died out as well. The Senshi should be the only person remaining, and food should be scarce and unable to adequately support life.

Chaos should have spread across the World; this Chaos can manifest in many ways, but it is a singular entity and not affiliated with the Negaverse of the Dark Mirror Court. It is not capable of corrupting the Senshi in the way that the Negaverse can, but the Chaos will attempt to consume the world and drain all of its energy. This Chaos can have a negative impact on the Senshi; it can make them more erratic or irritable and can make them more susceptible to corruption from the Negaverse, but this is player choice and is IC flavor text.

        Senshi Backstory

The Senshi must have been born either before the fall of the Silver Millennium, or as recently as two hundred years ago. The Senshi’s backstory should be in line with the information listed in Homeworld Lore. The Senshi would have stopped aging at some point in time during their natural lifespan and would have physically remained the same age due the magic of their Homeworld trying to preserve them and keep its protector alive for long enough to fight the Chaos.

The Senshi should have awakened in the same way as a present day Senshi, and should have had a Mauvian awaken them when they were between the ages of 7-27 (or respectively appropriate ages for species with differing lifespans). Deep Space Senshi will have awakened between these ages but physically could have aged to any point in their natural adult life span; this means that a Deep Space Senshi might have physically stopped aging when they were no younger than 18, or they might have been later in life when they stopped aging. If a player wanted, they might choose to play a Deep Space Senshi who stopped aging when they were outside of the range to awaken (such as in their 30s or later). Deep Space Senshi might have been preserved on their world, but they will begin to age again once they arrive on Earth.

Deep Space Senshi no longer have memories of their past life self, however they have full memories of their life. Due to their unnaturally long lives, they may have gaps in their memories or forget major things. They may recall their memories by taking trips to their homeworld. Deep Space Senshi may know the past life incarnations of present day characters, but they cannot know meta information or player information they are not approved to have.

        Arriving on Earth

Deep Space Senshi have one chance to get off of their world; the explosion of Archideus during the 2021 meta spread across the universe and gave each world a little bit of extra energy. Deep Space Senshi will feel an instinctive pull from their starseed that draws them to Earth. If they focus, they will be teleported to Earth. This will cost them no energy, but the trip may be overwhelming after living in isolation on a dying, Chaos-polluted world. All Deep Space Senshi will be able to speak the common Earth language, but they may be unfamiliar with Earth slang and will struggle to read modern English. Even if they had ever visited Earth before, this current incarnation should be completely foreign to them.

They would need to catch up with Senshi or Knights to understand what is going on there but would understand that the key to saving their world lies in recovering their strength and reclaiming their power on Earth. Deep Space Senshi are used to fighting Chaos so may have a unique approach for how to deal with the Negaverse; everyone may have different reactions. Deep Space Senshi can be corrupted just like other Senshi; if they become corrupted, their magic immediately stabilizes thanks to Mirrorspace or the influence of Metallia.

        Leaving Earth

Deep Space Senshi can return to their homeworld at the same rate as a normal White Moon Senshi, however they do not have a Senshi Cell Phone to do so. They will need to have one made for them by a Mauvian on Earth before they can return. They will feel their world pulling them if they have been gone for too long, if only because their planet is crying for help as the Chaos continues to consume them. OOCly, the Chaos will never consume a world because of inactivity or lack of action, but ICly the thread should be expected to grow or worsen until it is handled.

Defeating the Chaos and Restoring their World

When a Deep Space Senshi has reached third stage, they are strong enough to take on the Chaos on their world, but they will need to recruit some allies to help them. Even at third stage, they are not strong enough alone. Somewhere on their world is a Chaos seed that has embedded itself and has continued to grow in strength and reach. Often, the Chaos seed is trying to work its way into the Core of the world to try and completely consume it. While this Chaos is not ICly strong enough to corrupt a Senshi, it is strong enough to drain the world of life, and eventually kill the Senshi.

When a character has reached third, the player must PM The Space Cauldron with a plot to locate the Chaos Seed on their world, details on how they will confront it, and who they will be fighting it with. This Chaos can manifest as an illusion, a physical monster, or a psychological attack; this is up to the player and how they feel the story would best be told. There are no set rules about how this battle can go, but the Chaos Seed must be destroyed; once it is destroyed, the manifestation of the Chaos will dissolve and the world will begin to heal. The Deep Space Senshi will be able to Transcend (either after this battle or at some later point with an additional Transcendence plot), life can be restored, and they can work to make their world sustainable again.

Differences between Deep Space Senshi and normal Senshi

There are several key differences to keep in mind when playing Deep Space Senshi; if it is not listed here, please assume that they function in the same capacity as regularly obtained Senshi!

          • Deep Space Senshi were not born on Earth and are not human. They are at least two hundred years old by Earth standards but stopped aging at some point during their adult life as their world siphoned energy in them to keep them alive and fighting the Chaos. If they were an adult at the time the Silver Millennium fell, they can be over a thousand years old.

          • Deep Space Senshi do not have past life memories; those memories have long since faded. They may have missing memories due to their old age, but can also be assumed to have or be able to recover complete recollection of their life. They cannot know meta information but could have known past life incarnations of characters born in present day.

          • Deep Space Senshi cannot Transcend before the Chaos is purged from their worlds. They must reach third stage and rally allies to defeat the Chaos on their Homeworlds. They cannot have life on their worlds of any kind or have a sustainable world until the Chaos is defeated.

          • Deep Space Senshi do not have Senshi Cellphones upon awakening and must get one from a Mauvian; if they cannot pass for a human, a Mauvian can make them a glamour to help them do so. Because they are naturally humanoid and Senshi, the Mauvian glamour can let them pass for a human civilian for any duration of time that they want. They can reprogram a new glamour if their identity is compromised, but they cannot change appearance while powered up.

          • Deep Space Senshi have erratic magic like Late-Blooming Senshi, only they keep this erratic magic until they purge the Chaos from their world.

          • Deep Space Senshi can read the text on their homeworlds, but they must learn English text. They can speak English because they should have been taught it as the common language of the universe when they were younger and it was relevant, however this may manifest differently based on their preferred communication method. They may speak English, may read old English (as it existed roughly a thousand years ago), may use a personalized AAC, or may communicate using sign language; though sign language was not technically invented on Earth prior to the fall of the Silver Millennium it can be said that the language existed in the universe prior to the fall but was simply lost and was uncovered again and released as a 'new' language within the past few hundred years.

          • Deep Space Senshi cannot have been fourth stage in a past life but they can unlock it in present day.

          • Deep Space Senshi must have been awakened between the age of 7-27 (or respectively appropriate ages for species with differing lifespans) but they can arrive on Earth at whatever age their aging was frozen; this means that a new Deep Space Senshi might arrive on Earth as a basic senshi at “fifty” years of age.

Transcended Senshi

Senshi that choose to Transcend do not truly reach a new rank or power level, but instead follow an elective path that promises more strength at the cost of more responsibilities. Transcended Senshi have a deep connection to their homeworld and have synced with it on a spiritual level. These Senshi have made IC efforts to learn more about their world through exploration and the observation of memories and have, through their communion with their homeworld, ensured its protection.

A Transcended Senshi’s connection to their homeworld manifests in the form of an unwavering loyalty, free from any doubts, dark thoughts, or the sort of negative feelings with which Chaos could otherwise take root. The purity of a Transcended Senshi’s connection to their homeworld also offers an extra protection to their starseed: they cannot be forcibly corrupted. These Senshi change in appearance, gain an extra magical ability, and take on more responsibilities to continue protecting and serving their Homeworld.

Becoming Transcended does not award one a separate rank. Rather, it is a state of being. However, due to the fact that Transcending requires serious dedication to one's homeworld, as well as sufficient time spent there in order to experience the necessary connection, it is unlikely that a first-stage character will Transcend. This does not mean it is completely impossible, just that it would be very difficult and it would require a very extensive plot (and quite a bit of time beyond the normal requirements spent at base level) to gain approval.

Transcending is not something that can knowingly be pursued ICly. A character cannot learn of it and decide “I'm going to Transcend.” It is not a simple decision, and not something you should pursue OOCly if you have any thoughts of possibly corrupting your character one day. Transcending results from a deep commitment to one's homeworld accomplished only when one has adequately proven their dedication. Essentially, it is the homeworld's decision to grant that protection, not the character's decisions to claim it!

Changes in Appearance

The connection between a Transcended Senshi and their homeworld is shown through minor changes in their physical appearance. For senshi, the symbol of their homeworld on the center of their forehead appears in the place of their tiara. Princesses with a tiara magic attack may still summon their tiaras, though; their tiaras will simply be stored in subspace until needed. Transcended Senshi also sport ethereal markings upon their skin that seem to glow with power, which differ in design and placement from character to character. There is no way to turn off this glow while powered up.

    • Tiaras are lost and replaced instead by the symbol of their homeworld on their forehead.
    • They sport ethereal markings on their skin that glow with power. (These are cosmetic and offer no real boost!)
    • This is not exactly like the cracks Ascended Senshi have and differ in design and placement from character to character. For instance, a character may have a few glowing lines on their arms or be covered in many glowing lines all over their body. All characters must show at least some glowing lines in their art, but the extent is up to the player.
    • Minor changes in uniform design may also take place and can be reflected in regular growths at the player's discretion (such an addition of accessories tied to their Homeworld or important to rituals or ceremonies of the past). Greater changes must be approved by staff! Remember, if your outfit changes more than 10% it needs approval before it can appear on art!
    • Transcending does not come with an extra piece of art. You can, however, purchase alt powered art if you choose, though any changes to a character's existing uniform to reflect their Transcended state beyond the symbol of their homeworld (for senshi) or wonder/planet (for knights) upon their foreheads or the markings upon their skin must receive staff approval.

Physical Changes

A Transcended Senshi cannot be forcibly corrupted, nor can their starseed be so easily manipulated. If a Negaverse Agent were to stick a hand in a Transcended Senshi’s chest with the intention of removing their starseed or filling it with Chaos, that Agent would be repelled by a burst of energy—a moderate shock or burn as a knock-back effect. Similarly, if a Transcended Senshi were to be thrown at a mirror by a Dark Mirror royal, their starseed would activate to create an invisible barrier that would prevent them from passing through the mirror's surface.

However, due to a Transcended character's uncommonly strong connection to their homeworld and the open flow of energy passing between their homeworld and their starseed, Transcended Senshi will find themselves more susceptible to energy draining. Their energy can be collected faster and in larger quantities. However, due to their strong connection with their Homeworlds and the flow of energy, they can also visit regularly to recover from the loss of energy. Similarly, if injured, Transcended Senshi heal much quicker at their Homeworld.

A Transcended Senshi’s aura typically feels no different than that of any other Senshi of the same rank, however youma are the exception to this rule and are typically more attracted to Transcended Senshi. Youma can feel the subtle, but distinct, change in aura and are drawn to Transcended Senshi when trying to gather energy specifically because of how much energy they have available.

Power Changes

Transcended Senshi can follow one of two paths. Which path they take depends entirely upon the manner in which they would best make use of the connection between themselves and their homeworld, and the flow of energy it now provides them with.

Those two paths and the benefits with which it would provide them are as follows:

    Quote:
    Power Boost

A Transcended Senshi following the path to power uses the open source of energy with their homeworld to assist them in battle. Transcended senshi may receive one extra use of either their Super or Eternal attacks, or an extended time limit of up to 15 seconds for the duration of all Super and Eternal rank attacks. As always, any attack that restricts or completely binds a character's movement must be shorter in time than any attack that simply does damage. Which option a player prefers will be discussed on a case by case basis when they send in an a plot request!

    Quote:
    Energy-Giving

A Transcended Senshi may choose to follow a less combative path. Rather than using their energy to boost the magic power they use in battle, these Senshi are able to transfer their excess energy to civilian victims and wounded allies. They must maintain physical contact in order to make the transfer, and as it requires intense concentration it would be impossible to accomplish in battle. The transfer would help with mild-to-moderate energy loss but would not offer a sense of full recovery in either case. It would simply decrease recovery time by half.

Regardless of which path a Transcended Senshi follows, they cannot keep their energy pent up when far from their homeworld. On Earth, it is imperative that they release this energy on a regular basis, whether that be in battle for those on the path to power, or by donating that energy for those who follow the path of the energy-givers. Failure to do so could result in physical side-effects and put undue stress on the body. With regular time spent at their homeworld, this can be avoided; otherwise the energy can and will release itself on its own, resulting in an uncontrollable blast of raw energy. Prolonged distance from their Homeworld puts a strain on their body, however this energy can regulate when the character spends time on their Homeworld.

Both paths mean the character can deal less physical damage at the expense of boosted magic.

Mental Changes

Transcended Senshi do not always experience extreme changes in mentality, though it is likely that they feel a deep sense of devotion to their homeworld. They feel a stronger sense of comfort on their homeworld and are generally drawn to it when otherwise ill at ease; they are fiercely protective of it, and seek refuge there in times of stress.

Those who experience prolonged distance from their homeworld may find themselves more susceptible to illness, fatigue, and metal stress, often accompanied by nightmares and a lingering sense of homesickness.

Transcended characters can experience more significant changes in their mentality to better reflect their personal development, but this will be looked at on a case-by-case basis upon the request of the player!

Additional Changes

Because a Transcended Senshi has such a strong connection to their homeworld, they are able to travel to their homeworld twice as often as non-Transcended Senshi. This means an Eternal Senshi could travel twice in one week, a Super Senshi could travel twice in two weeks (i.e. once a week), and a Basic Senshi could travel twice in three weeks. Transcended Senshi also heal twice as fast on their homeworld as they would otherwise.

Senshi homeworlds naturally begin to regenerate after a character has awakened and established contact, but the homeworld also benefits from its connection and the open flow of energy between itself and a Transcended Senshi; Homeworld regeneration doubles in speed. Though Transcended characters can visit their homeworlds twice in the usual time span and may receive new memories with each visit, they will still be unable to remember the entirety of their previous lives.

A Transcended Senshi must continue to take regular visits to their homeworld after Transcending in order to avoid any negative repercussions. Not doing so could result in the mental effects (such illness, fatigue, and mental stress, accompanied by nightmares and a sense of homesickness). Visiting their homeworld also allows for the free flow of energy between themselves and their world, which can come under strain in the event that the energy remains unused on Earth. In the event that circumstances prevent your character from releasing that energy in whatever way is necessitated by the path they follow (using their magic in the case of the Power Boost method, or donating some of their energy in the case of the Energy-Giver method), a homeworld visit would be encouraged so as to reduce the strain that free flowing energy puts on their bodies. Otherwise it could build up and explode out of them uncontrollably.

How to Transcend

Senshi have to undergo a ritual to solidify their connection with their homeworld to Transcend. This ritual will differ from Senshi to Senshi but must reflect your character's growth and dedication, and/or reflect a ritual from their past.

Transcending is easiest to do by Eternal stage, however it can be managed at Super and even rarely at Basic Stage. Transcending any character is handled on a case-by-case basis, so even though it is more commonly seen in accomplished senshi who have had time to grow and have had more opportunities to bond with their Homeworld, it would still be possible for an extremely well-developed first-level basic Senshi to Transcend. Due to the strong connection Senshi Royals already experience with their homeworlds, a Prince or Princess would have an easier time Transcending than lower levels. However, they must still go through the ritual on their homeworld in order to Transcend.

The Senshi must spend meaningful time on their Homeworld and undergo some sort of ritual that represents their growth, their past, or their devotion/connection to their Homeworld. This does not have to be a long plot, but it should be meaningful.

If you are interested in Transcendence for your Senshi, please fill out the following form and PM it to the shop mule, The Space Cauldron!

    Transcendence Form
    1. What development has your character been going through that would lead them to Transcend?

    2. Which of the two paths do you intend for them to take, and why?

3.What events are going to lead up to your character Transcending, and how would their ritual be conducted?

    4. What is your character going to do AFTER Transcending? How will this affect further development as well as their role within the faction?

    5. How would you like their Transcendence marks to appear? Are there any other visual changes you want in the uniform? You do not need to get alt art, but you should outline the visible changes for the character so we can confirm they meet guidelines!

Before submitting for Transcendence, please make sure this is a permanent choice you want for your character! While it may be possible to break Transcendence or corrupt after Transcending, this is not something that should be taken lightly and you should not pursue Transcendence with the intention to break it or corrupt. Transcending is the ultimate display of devotion for a Senshi, and they cannot be forcibly corrupted. For a Senshi to willingly corrupt, they would need to be prepared to throw away that bond--and be prepared for their Homeworld to die. There is no set method for how this might be ICly accomplished but if a player truly needs to reverse a Transcendence, they should contact the shop mule.

Senshi Homeworlds

Each Senshi has a homeworld they can teleport to with the use of their Cell Phone. Depending on their rank, they may also take guests with them. Senshi Homeworlds can only be accessed by the Senshi associated with that world.

While on their homeworld, Senshi may have visions from their most recent past life. These are short memories of the life they used to live and may reveal ancient allies, people who were important to them, rituals, or other secrets, but there is no criteria except that they cannot reveal canon or meta information about the shop and memories cannot include canon characters.

All Senshi homeworlds must have a somewhat natural-looking foundation; these worlds should not be made of man-made substance, however can have technological influences that have been built into the worlds. Presently, Senshi homeworlds have fallen into disrepair. Civilizations have fallen and there is no living animal life on any homeworld. All Senshi worlds are unique so the effect of ruin affects worlds differently. Commonly, buildings have crumbled or are simply abandoned. Plants have flourished on many worlds, however on others everything has died away. As a Senshi visits their homeworld, the bond with the core of the world strengthens and they may notice life returning. As the Senshi grows in strength and continues to repair their world, plants will seem healthier and the world will seem to glow again. No world will start off with insects and animals.

Starting off, Senshi can only stay on their Homeworld for as long as they have supplies to survive, but there is no way to immediately grow any sort of produce. After a Senshi awakens, their Homeworld will ‘restore’ over time; the stronger a senshi grows and the more time they spend on their Homeworld can help improve the state of it. Plants may flourish, the environment may become more habitable, and even ancient structures may slowly restore themselves to their former glory. Eventually, Senshi can unlock animal life, and can also make their Homeworlds habitable for long term survival. More information on homeworld visits and restoration process can be found in the Deep Space Information Thread!

FAQ

  • What are Auras/Energy Signatures? How do they work?

All magically powered characters give off energy signatures/auras that can be sensed by other powered characters. Powered characters can sense these energy signatures on a sort of magical mental radar, where they can tell how many powered characters are nearby. It is possible to read someone’s rank and faction through their energy signature. For the most part, it is difficult to identify who an energy signature belongs to unless you have a very strong bond with the person, at which point you will be able to identify their specific aura. However, this takes time to develop and does not happen easily. A first stage character gives off a smaller energy signature than a third stage character and will be more difficult to locate on a radar; the stronger you get, the more powerful your aura. An inexperienced character may feel an energy signature like a haze in the distance that grows stronger as they approach, but an experienced character may be able to pinpoint directly where a signature is and head in that direction. While there is no specific range a character can sense an aura from (because this can improve as a character gains familiarity and experience with energy signatures, and can improve naturally the longer they’ve been powered), it would be reasonable to expect that an inexperienced first stage character might be able to sense up to five blocks away, a second stage character up to seven, and a third stage character up to ten.

The more energy signatures there are in an area, the harder it is to accurately read them; energy signatures of the same faction (or of Chaos and Order in general) may blend together, making it difficult to tell how many people and of what specific rank they are. Some character types have unique traits or features regarding their aura, but more detail can be found in their individual information threads. For example, Mauvians and Ascended Senshi have unique traits regarding their energy signatures, Vanguardians do not have an energy signature, and some civilians can sense energy signatures through enhancements or other magical boosts.

  • What does it look like when a Senshi Powers up?

Senshi must be holding their Henshin Pen and say their power up phrase, however they can do this in any pose they like. Depending on the player, and character, powering up may be more or less flamboyant. It would not be unnatural for white light and sparkles to surround a character as they powered up or for their clothes to simply melt away into their uniform without any fanciness. Some senshi may notice magical elements related to their sphere flutter around them while they power up, but this is entirely up to the character. This is entirely illusion and does not affect the environment around them.

  • Do all Senshi have a past life?

Yes; all Senshi who awakened on Earth had past life selves that lived during the Silver Millennium. A Senshi may remain unaware of their past life and may not ever discover or acknowledge it, but all Senshi had a previous incarnation that lived a thousand years ago.

  • If a character is nonspeaking, are they prevented from powering up or using magic? Does powering up grant them the ability to speak?

If a character is nonspeaking, they can power up and use magic the same as anyone else. The power to use the magic is in the will of the words rather than the spoken word itself. Even speaking characters can will the same magic just by thinking the name of the attack without any notable difference in strength. Powering up will not magically grant a voice to a character who does not have one; if a character cannot speak in civilian form, they will not suddenly find themselves with the ability while powered. They may utilize their preferred method of communication, be it any form of sign language, or a glamoured version of any aided augmentative and alternative communication device they may use.

  • Can Season affect the strength of a Senshi’s magic?

Possibly! While any element based attack is magical in nature it does not guarantee that the seasons would affect potency, however depending on player choice they may decide in one on one roleplays that the magic is more or less powerful. However, you should not assume this is also true in any event without first asking!

  • Can Senshi Combine their magic to form new Magic attacks?

Unfortunately, no! This has too many variables and would require approval before any combination, so it’s not something the shop can feasibly manage and track. Senshi may use their magic in tandem, but it does not create new magic.

  • What are Eternal Senshi wings made of?

It varies from person to person but it's usually cloth, plastic, ribbons, or feathers. These are not functional wings are are just a very decorative part of their costume. They cannot move on their own and Senshi do not feel pain if they are attacked or torn from the costume.

  • Can two senshi in a Binary Star System share a home world, despite being senshi of two different stars?

Each Senshi would have their own world; Senshi get their powers from their homeworld, and no homeworld can have two Senshi at one time. While the Senshi should originate from their homeworld and have existing life on their homeworld, a player could plot that one of the Senshi spends most of their time on the other star in the system. However, this would be like a Senshi living on Earth with their homeworld in space; Transcended Senshi would weaken the longer they were away from their homeworld. While the cultures can be similar or while one star may be more advanced/larger, as the Homeworld is the source of Senshi power, each Senshi should be dedicated to their homeworld and must interact with it.

  • Can a senshi eat a starseed?

A senshi can eat a starseed, but it has more extreme effects on them that Negaverse agents do not suffer through. It restores next to no energy, and instead leaves the senshi with hallucinations, sickness/nausea, pain, and extreme guilt. There is no addictive properties to order characters eating starseed, and it would be nearly unbearable to consume more than two, as it results in very heavy mental anguish. Overall, eating a starseed is not a good idea for any non-Negaverse character.

  • What is a Senshi/Mauvian bond?

Senshi and Mauvian have the ability to create a unique bond that grants them special abilities. More information can be found here. A Senshi can only be bonded to one Mauvian at a time, and vice versa. Mauvians may bond with a Senshi Court as well as a Senshi. Some additional perks include the Mauvian being able to visit the Senshi homeworld at any time, being able to sense each other’s powered form from up to two miles apart, or being able to sense when each other is in danger.

  • If a Senshi perishes, will their starseed be available for questing again?

No; the player still owns the sphere; if their character were to be reborn down the road they would have only the past life memories of their most recent incarnation. Names and Spheres are locked to players; if their senshi dies, after a minimum of seven years they may reawaken as a chibi senshi. This requires plot permission before pursuing, and players cannot quest for chibis who were senshi that perished in Destiny City.

  • Can a Henshin Pen be broken? Can it be fixed?

A henshin pen can be broken; when it is damaged significantly, a senshi cannot power up. A Mauvian must repair the Henshin Pen. A pen should not be completely destroyed; there must be enough core components left for the Mauvian to work with. They can replace pieces as needed, but because of the strong magic in the pen, they cannot make a new one from scratch. Players should PM The Space Cauldron with their intention to destroy the pen, as well as a small plot about how it will be broken, for how long it will be broken, and who will fix it!

  • Can a Senshi Phone be taken apart and put back together?

While a Mauvian may be able to, this typically should be done only for repairs. Chaos Mauvians will find it impossible to tamper with phones or research them in any way. There is no way to ‘crack into’ the phone to see how it works or to hack into the database or network.

  • Can someone other than a Senshi use a Senshi Phone?

It depends on the circumstance; if a Senshi willingly gives their phone to another Order character, that character may be able to use the phone. However, someone who is Chaos or someone who does not have permission will find that the phone does not recognize them using it regardless of what they do to it.

  • What happens to a Senshi Cell Phone if they power down and were holding it?

Senshi Cell Phones will disappear into subspace; if a phone is lost, the simplest thing to do is power down and power back up to resummon it from its pocket in subspace.

  • Who can a Senshi take with them to their Homeworld?

Just about anyone! A Senshi can only bring as many people as permitted per their rank (unless they have approval for the sake of a plot), though it doesn’t really matter what faction they are from. Civilians, Agents, and youma could all be comfortably taken to a Homeworld. A Homeworld will eject anyone the Senshi deems an enemy, so as long as the Senshi considers whoever they have brought with them to be guests, they are welcome on the Homeworld. A Senshi may sometime choose to bring animals with them, such as service animals. These creatures cannot survive on their own in the world and will be returned to Earth when the Senshi returns; small mammals, such as rabbits, may not count as an extra passenger but anything that could equal the weight of at least a chibi Senshi counts as a passenger. Mauvians, whatever form they are in, will count as a passenger. Chaos characters and civilians cannot be taken to the Moon, though!

  • Is it possible to bring items to a Senshi Homeworld? Do they remain even after a Senshi leaves?

It is possible to bring items to space, but only as much as can physically be carried. A senshi of higher rank may be able to carry larger, or heavier items with them, as if they were additional passengers. There is no limit to what can be brought aside from size; Senshi cannot bring large things, like cars, but if you have questions about if something would be possible to bring with them, please PM the shop mule, The Space Cauldron, and we will work with you! All food should be non-perishable or it will risk expiring. Anything left on a homeworld will remain there, though depending on the conditions of the world they may need to be protected or stored somewhere safely or else they will be exposed to the elements.

  • How long can a Senshi stay on their Homeworld?

They can survive on their homeworld for as long as they have the means and supplies to do so. A Senshi could stockpile resources for a while and could reasonably stay on their Homeworld for quite a time. Regardless of what stage you are, the limit is your own ability to survive based on what you have around you. Homeworlds may be covered in plants, but they are neither capable of growing edible Earth plants nor should they have edible plants. Homeworlds may have clean sources of water, but there will be no food source sans what the Senshi brings.

  • Can a Senshi power down on their Homeworld?

Yes; your homeworld will still recognize you as the Senshi of that planet and allow you to remain. While you are there, you will feel fairly rejuvenated and as though you have more energy, even when powered down, though you will not receive any past life memories unless you are powered up. You will still need to power up to access your Senshi Phone when you are ready to go back to Destiny City.

  • What happens if a Senshi tries to travel to their homeworld more often than their recharge period would allow?

Initially, the phones will reject them and will not respond, however if they attempt to beyond that they will pass out from trying. They will not be able to make it off of Destiny City, and their recharge period will be reset while they recover.

  • If a senshi willfully neglects their homeworld, will their progress to restore their homeworld be undone?

If a Senshi is willfully neglecting their homeworld it may deteriorate if the player wishes but this is not something that will happen against a player’s will.

  • How do plants grow on homeworlds without small animals or pollinators?

Magic! Magic is hugely responsible for the state of the homeworlds right now and whereas some homeworlds are devoid of even plant life before their senshi awakens, some homeworlds are just covered by plant life even without animals or insects to continue the natural process. In the absence of living creatures, it can be assumed that magic is involved to maintain environmental stability, or instability, depending on the homeworld/wonder.
