General Information
Name: Elias Faustian
Age: 18
Birthday: July 31st
Gender: Male
Species: Gifted Human
Appearances
Overview: Elias is not a notable figure appearance-wise what with his plain looks and mop of brown hair, but that only better serves his purpose when the need to disappear has come. Hazelnut eyes full of hidden agenda, he isn't someone to be underestimated as he can still put on quite a fight. He has a an inch long scar on his left shoulder blade, but no other distinguishable trait.
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 148 lbs
Personality
Overview: The German acts like a carefree teenager with too much hormones due to his interest in anything that wears a skirt. He is a laid-back that enjoys a good laugh every now and then and can be seen socializing quite often. Of course, he is never at the center of everyone's attention, he prefers to be the guy next to the star so that there is room to fade away into nothingness if things turned bad or be the one to turn things bad with a well placed dagger in the back and collect the profit. He sees others are tools, nothing more, but tools that can very well turn on their user. He also has a very good poker face and is a master at hiding his true emotions behind a charming smile. In other words, he's a sly fox, the snake under the flower, the dagger coming for you back. Due to his treacherous nature, he finds it hard to trust others as well and can be paranoid at times and rarely let anyone in on his plans. However, he isn't as dense as to believe that he could survive without allies or tools and makes it one of his priorities to keep them close and at hand. He usually is seen as the Mr. Nice Guy that is slightly too polite and courteous for his own good angered by the uninformed but that is merely the facets he puts on in public. When angered though, he has the habit of making sure to return the favor with a bit too much interest. If he cant today, he will in the future and those are the only promises he intends to keep. Elias is also rather uptight about appearances since first impressions are so important to him.
Values: Efficiency, slyness, opportunism, deception, thievery, exploitation
Faults: He loses it around women, really. Going out of the way for the female species isn't something that rare coming from him and it gives him a semblance of humanity.
Alignment: Elias is Neutral Evil meaning he follows his whims and acts purely out of self-interest. Petty laws and codes of honors are obstacles and ties that hold him down and he sees no profit in following them since they encourage illogical decisions. Lying is nothing to be ashamed of and striking while someone is weak or vulnerable is only an efficient thing to do. Elias does not hold in high esteem those who with compassion and honor and would like nothing more than to bury them.
Faction: Independent
Current Status: Missing and wanted alive as "Elias Faustian" by the Lucchese and the Gambinos. Wanted by Interpol in general.
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Likes: Ladies~!, well maintained firearms, gastronomic cuisine, sleep, power, money.
Dislikes : Nosy people, information brokers, good food gone to waste, over-friendly individuals.
Fears: Someone he is not aware of with information on him. Death and pain to some extent since he does everything out of self interest.
Background
Gifted Human: Same as above~
Biography:Elias was born in a rich family in a rich neighborhood in a rich country. Needless to say that he had never tasted poverty.
His family was of German roots and only immigrated a few months before his birth. His grandfather and uncle on his father's side had settled in the states just after WW2, an almost suicidal move considering the mentality of the time, but by some stroke of luck and determination, the Faustians became successful businessmen in the span of two generations. Attracted by the offer of a CEO position in one of their family business' branches, Elias' parents moved all the way across the Atlantic Ocean and established themselves in a cosy corner of Oyster Bay Cove on Long Island's North Shore where the Gifted child lived for around 15 years of his life.
His birth had been an accident. Both parents were extremely busy with work and a child was merely an extra burden when they were so young and at their potential's fullest. However, they were also devote catholics and against abortion. As soon as Elias was born, he was delegated to countless nannies and babysitters to the point that he never had the chance to develop too much affection to any of them or his parents. Sure, mother and father worked hard to put too much food on the table considering their high annual income, but not hearing a word or seeing them once in the span of a few days or months even during business trips had made them strangers to the young boy. Strangers with a tad bit too much control over his life.
Even if they were absent for the most part of his childhood and couldn't be bothered with raising the boy, Elias' parents had the bad habit of only wanting the best both for and from their entourage. Nannies were instructed to be as strict as it was necessary and physical punishment could be used. Advanced lessons were also a must since the path towards the Ivy League started in the nursery and before that even.
At the age of five, trying to learn multiplications and how to properly tackle an opponent in American football was the the bottom of his list of priorities. Looking back, he was just glad that his parents had not followed on of his caretakers' suggestion and made him enter a beauty pageant.
His excessive upbringing released his rebellious side and as soon as he was old enough to outrun his house's staff, he made the world outside his home his escape, slipping out of his house at night or even after school and returning only when hungry and covered in dirt. He was caught quite quickly on his first few tries and severely grounded, but the competitive environment he had been raised in only led him to believe that he simply had not been good enough and needed to polish his skills a little more. The door was locked? Try the window. There was a guard below it? Drop something heavy in hopes of disabling him or have a parkour race on the roof of the Faustian estate. He became a nightmare to all what with his height advantage when it came to slipping in between people's legs and hiding in tiny nooks and crannies. As a child, he saw everything as a game, a way for him to overcome the dullness of his everyday life and now that he could make it even more entertaining, there was no point in holding back.
Even so, night for a lone wandering kid was extremely dangerous. Although Elias was not the subject to bullying at school and got along well with most of the other kids, the competitive private schools he had been sent to made bonds second to excellence and night prowling was terrible for one's record. The fact that his family was quite wealthy made him one ideal target, but then came an encounter that signaled his first step towards a clandestine life.

On one nightly stroll around the neighborhood, Elias spotted his neighbor John Gotti with a few other men. A few days earlier, he had seen some men armed from head to toe storm the older man's house so he did not find Gotti's haggardness the least bit surprising. Still he had not wanted to be sent back home so he had tried to creep away. The crime leader's associate who he later learned was Peter Gotti, the older brother of John Gotti's father, took notice of his presence and a short chase ensued with Elias thinking that they were people his parents sent out to fetch him and the mobsters believing he was some sort of kid hired by the government or rival families.
Weapons were about to be pulled out when the Gambino head recognized the little twerp that was dangling from his man's arm by the back of his shirt and yelling something nasty about an "old hag" and "arithmetic homework" as his invisible neighbors' child. The situation had been most perplexing, but John's uncle whispered something to the weary man. John Gotti had royally screwed up what with leaving important documents that incriminated other members of the Family at home during a police raid and the empire his father had left him had been crumbling. The man had been in search of a way to assure his safety and his uncle had suggested to try "something new" and out of the normal code of conduct of mafioso. The man needed all the allies he could get so involving people outside of the Family had been suggested to him and even raising his own group of loyal associates. With that in mind, John Gotti let Elias go with nothing more than a pat to the head and a compliment about his ability to escape his guardians' clutches. Confused, but happy to have received such praise, Elias was left to roam the streets for the rest of the night until he was ambushed by a squad of very furious maids and forcefully dragged back home.
The next morning, Gotti dropped by to visit them under the pretext of finally having time to acquaint himself with his neighbors. Elias' parents didn't buy it, but were about to leave on another business trip and; instead, gave the order to the house staff to not let the man in during their absence, orders quickly forgotten with a few well-placed words from the mafioso's men. Elias was finally introduced to John Gotti and Peter Gotti and they regularly dropped by for short visits, bringing him all sorts of treats and teaching him things he had to swear to never tell anyone. Their visits grew scarce with time with John's stopping altogether. When questioned as to the reason of his absence, John's uncle answered with work related business, much to the young boy's irritation. Was this "work" so damn important to occupy both his parents and John? On the other hand, Peter kept his mind pretty occupied as soon as he hit twelve.
Before than, the older man had only left him with occasional assignments such as memorizing different types of firearm and drugs and basic self-defense moves he had to take care of between his normal studies and social meetings his parents had to attend. His nightly prowls decreased in numbers what with how busy he was by the end of elementary school, but he did not have to worry about his guardians anymore. The mobsters had taught him ways to be convincing especially since the household staff were employed by his parents. The servants got the message after he staged the dismissal of a few of them. These sure beat math and history though they went against all values he had been taught up until now.

Age twelve marked his official involvement in the world of organized crime. He was basically told to befriend gang members as a way to test his skills. He took the challenge eagerly and joined a local gang as an errand boy. His connection to the Gotti had to be kept a secret, but he was rewarded with even more interesting lessons and a taste of liquor when he succeeded. Elias was told to report all tasks he was given to Peter and the man would tell him how to act accordingly. This marked a rather troubled moment for him. His strict catholic upbringing was catching up to him and so was his conscience with every crime he helped and every lie he told.
His time on the streets was what gave him any real experiences and a taste of reality. Blood and violence was not uncommon there, but it was new to him and he had to mask his unease under the order of his mentor. He had come to realize that he was neck deep in heaps of trouble, but knew that it was too late to turn around already. The tasks he had been given were meant to be harmless, petty thievery and vandalism at most, but it usually involved a hurried escape and the intervention of the police. After gathering some experience and trust from his fellow gangmembers, he found out that he really did not have much future in what he had gotten himself into and much information was kept from him. That had been understandable since it was for the sake of secrecy, but it was extremely startling to know that his mentor had been the head of the Gambino family ever since John's imprisonment and he was supposed to keep quiet about their connection.
It was during one of the little tasks he was given that his powers first manifested itself for good. He had always been an agile child quick on his feet and thought that it was just one of those things some people were better than others at so he never really gave it much thought. But even then, outrunning cars were unusual even if they weren't going at full speed. Instinctively, he had manipulated the air around him to accelerate his movements.
Distrust and confusion had kept his mouth shut about his power especially since he had yet to discover the extent of it. Instead, he sacrificed what precious sleep time he had to develop his control over air so that he would not accidentally reveal himself as a Gifted human, one more reason to be used as a tool. He kept on with his daily life, attending school just enough so that his parents would not hear of his absences, assisting in gang activities, reporting to Peter, accomplish the tasks Peter had given him and practice. His gang's success soon made their older leader and some other members of Italian descent eligible to enter the Family. That gave him the possibility to mingle with other associates and other rotten apples of society.
By then, he had finally cast aside his inner turmoil and was more than ready to get his hands dirty. His catholic background had not mixed well with a life of crime and he came out of this troubled period by casting aside all the good both clashing ideologies had taught him ranging from charity to any code of honor instilled by his capo mentors had taught him despite the fact that he was never going to be a made-man. Only then did he start to truly enjoy the underground society and his bad habit of viewing things as a game came back. His gang's base of operation had been a nightclub where he had the opportunity to meet all kinds of colorful characters and it wasn't as though he lacked the social skills and tolerance for alcohol to get along well with fellow associates despite his youthful and harmless appearances.
Dropping out of school and leaving his home had been an important step in his life. By pulling some strings and using some of the favors he had worked so hard to earn, Elias procured himself a club of his own along with a false identity since he wasn't of age yet as a source of income. This had come as a surprise to his mentor, but the teen had explained that relying on his parents was ridiculous especially with what he had been taught and the club was only for the sake of having a place to crash and the social benefits it could bring him. Having heard of obsession with women, the old Gotti let it slide. Elias had been obedient and loyal in every way so he saw no benefit in punishing him now.
That was the first cornerstone towards independence. He was extremely peeved by the Gotti faction when he discovered that his whole involvement had been part of some sort of ridiculous plan. So Gotti could not trust Cosa Nostra anymore since they had enemies hidden everywhere, but Elias was not some clean slate for him them to mold to their liking and serve as loyal pet. Many other had been recruited in similar ways across the nation from the Italian conversation he had recorded and deciphered after much research. Those kids were slowly raised, nurtured to be at the beck and call of the Gotti faction and slowly implanted in the lower hierarchy of the Gambino family. The project had started far too late and would not come into fruition in time and not to mention the individual time and resources wasted to bring up such candidates were not profitable at all by his standards. Nevertheless, being that close to the ones in charge of such a powerful crime family was bound to have its benefits and Peter had done a surprisingly good job as the head of the Gambino family before his own conviction. Besides, he still had much to learn. He knew that he could never be part of the Family due to his origins, but that never really fazed him since he cared little about Family values and traditions. The only thing he was interested was the wealth and power held by the Gambino and how to achieve such heights.
At that point, John had been back although he was a stranger to Elias. John Gotti and two other men formed a council that ran the family and a semblance of stability seem to have settle down amidst the Gambino, but that had merely been an illusion. Where he had to report on the tasks he had been assigned by family members, he now had to report what he saw during those tasks. Enemy Families were starting to move and many held a grudge against the Gotti. Along with ex-allies of the Gotti faction, they managed to send John back to prison a new boss was elected.

Truth to be told, had Elias been smarter, he would have jumped boat then, but he received news of a possible coup and thought that he had nothing to lose since he had been promised the chance of being one of the few exceptions of the Family. Indeed, he had been offered to be a made man should the Gotti regain power, but that should have told him how desperate his superiors had been. Unfortunately, news of their plan had leaked to the Lucchese as well as Domenico Cefalu, the new head of the Gambino and Elias had been sent to investigate the meeting the two factions had booked in order to discuss the Gotti situation.
The problem? The meeting had moved to a brothel on neutral grounds as soon as both parties had met. Although Elias did manage to avoid getting side-tracked, he was discovered and his back-up had switched sides and turned against him. Cornered by both Families in a maze-like network of back alleys, he could only pull his trump card for a big enough distraction to escape. New York was greeted with the strongest tornado of the decade, but his control over his Gift had slipped and before long, he could not stop himself. The strain of using so much power knocked him into a comatose state for a month, but he was treated amidst the confusion and rush to aid victims of such an unusual and spontaneous natural disaster.
He had wanted an opportunity to vanish for a long time and this was just perfect although the Lucchese had had the chance of getting a good look at his face and his past fellow associates had turned into enemies. It was also clear that he was amongst the Gifted and a subject to be treated with caution. It was the worst possible situation for him what with all his tricks revealed and what past allies he had gone and ready to pull the big guns on him. He was probably classified as "Missing" without much chances of "Dead" since it was his own powers he had used and most were inclined to believe that Gifts were not a double-edged sword.
A golden opportunity arose when he received an invitation to attend a school for the Gifted and the Supernatural. The place was apparently protected from normal humans by wards of all sorts and even cut off any usage of electronics. Elias had been skeptical as to the legitimacy of the invitation, but the letter had arrived by unusual means, an owl, and had been addressed to him even though he had been using his fake ID ever since the hospital check-out.
It was with a shred of hope that he headed out to a Spirit Fang Academy, but as his luck turned out, he met a member of the Lucchese family there as well as a foreign mobster from Russia. They had struck up a wobbly alliance there since they were of the same trade in a world of unknown, but it did not last and before long, all three of them had parted ways.
He honestly did not think that he would be meeting them again anytime soon as he decided to go to Europe with the little money he had left. His options were quite limited outside of the crime scene when one did not even have a high school diploma, but he had his powers at least and settled down in a poor area of Germany. He made a living with Shell Games, Hustles and other swindling techniques with the help of his control over air before joining a group of professional con artists. As per usual, he made no move that showed any ambition for the position of leader and instead, watched and learned from the shadows. The group of con artists targeted casinos by traveling all around the continent and soon the world for profit. The constant change played in Elias' favor since it made tracking him much harder and the group had someone who specialized in providing false IDs.
Money no longer became an issue and he would have loved to continue such a life. However, the international police had been cracking down on them and they decided to disband especially since there were words of supernatural creatures siding with the law. Since he was in Europe and a believer of saying "keep your friends close and your enemy closer", he decided to take refuge in his enemies' backyard: an institute for the gifted in Italy under the name of Emil Furst.
Abilities
Powers:Control over air at its purest form. He is limited by what his body can take and what his own imagination.
-Deflecting projectiles is an easy task so long as he has the reflexes to do so.
-In his current state, he can summon small tornadoes with the strength of F1 on the Fujita scale. However, if he shrinks the eye of the tornado area to that of 5 meters radius, he can increase the wind speed to almost 200 km/hr. Now, throw in something sharp and he gets a pile of mince meat.
-Compression of air as well as expansion is plausible for him, but only for so long and with small quantities. His main use is to add force behind his shots though even that is a rather risky game since when not properly done, his attack may blow up in his face.
-Haste, it increases his jump power and his speed by toying with air pressure. He cannot fly per say, but it can cushion his falls.
-Detection of unusual current or air shifts. It is more related to a radar-like ability. By shifting air in a single direction, he can detect obstacles invisible to the naked eye though if there are too many obstacles such as during rain or hail or they are too small, his reading becomes inaccurate.
Weaknesses:-His powers are limited by the preparation time, but once it starts, it is hard even for him to control them properly. A tornado doesn't simply vanish at the snap of a finger after all.
-He cannot target a specific gas though and his powers do not work in vacuums.
-Ladies~! <3
Skills:-ID Forging.
-Marksmanship.
-Street fighting.
-Knife play.
-High tolerance to alcohol.
