A strange tree. No one knows where it came from in it's soft, golden splendor. Thin strings of red that seem to sparkle and dance in the midst of the soft morning light run from the top to the bottom of the tree with each one held carefully inbetween the soft, evergreen branches. Ornaments of fine glass hang from the tips, varying from a clear orb that reflects light brilliantly to darker and much more intricate shapes. A large ornament of a very fat Delibird in a santa suit rests at the very top of the tree in a stark contrast to the otherwise magnificent shine.
No one's really sure where it came from, or why it came. All that's known is there are a great, great many gifts resting under the tree. There are no names attached to the presents which range in appearance from the odd and absurd to the carefully and finely wrapped. There is only a small, small card that rests on the tree as a message to the guild and a small card on each box with well wishes for the one who takes it.
A present for the guild that marches on against the odds simply to help everyone else.
Keep on doing what you're doing. You're never forgotten and you're always appreciated.
The confusion was fast and sudden with words like "trap" being spread around, but things eventually calmed down after the ranking members of the Guild of the Sun discussed it. A decision was reached; the guild members would be allowed to take the presents.
Well, though they're allowed, no one knows what's in them. No type of scan seems to be able to penetrate the shells. Nothing may allow a glimpse into what the boxes hold, but they would open eventually right?

One box per roleplayer. When you're taking a box, make an immediate OOC post with the box you're taking then edit it to be in character.
There's only one of each box (except the blue chest which is listed twice) so claim it fast if you want it!
A Golden chest encrusted with jewels, though they're fake.
A stereotypical chest. It reminds you of a pirate.
A crate that looks like it came out of a warehouse. It looks really heavy!
A plain, white box. It's completely blank.
A see-through box... or it should be. You can't seem to see what's inside.
A strange box that seems to rattle constantly, as if whatever is inside is spinning rapidly.
A very, very fluffy box. It's soft and warm to the touch.
A plain wooden box that is warm and soggy to the touch.
A simple, earthy-coloured box. It's prickly to the touch.
A box that glows faintly. It seems powerful.
A chest that is deep, deep blue in colour. You get the feeling it won't open at the same time as the rest.
Another chest identical to the above.
A rustic looking box. It looks like someone has been looking for it for a long, long time.
A strange, multi-coloured box that seems to shift randomly in temperature and shade.
A plain white box with a mother's touch.
A box that seems to get a little loud when you get close to it.
A box that seems just a little simple. A little too simple.
A roughly made brown box. You feel that whatever is inside will let you protect those dear to you at a cost.
The contents of each box will be revealed later on. Patience!

 AliceThe Gardevoir wandered down the hall with one hand rubbing an eye and the other guiding her along the wall. She was napping when the news broke out in the room of a strange tree. Or, at least she was almost napping, having barely been clinging to consciousness but curiosity won the battle. The others didn't seem interested enough to actually check it out. It might not have been anything interesting at all, but that didn't stop her.
Coming to the hall, Alice stood in the doorway blank faced as she examined what lied before her, unsure of how to comprehend it exactly. It was... different? She was expecting something serious, but this vibe was more or less the total opposite. Alice remained where she stood for a moment as her arms dropped to her sides and then finally made her way into the hall to better examine the large tree. It was pretty for sure. There was something under it too? Alice blinked as she made her way to the tree and stared down at the series of boxes as a smile finally came to the puzzled girl's face. They were strange looking, much like the tree but it didn't stop her from examining.
Alice made her way around the boxes carefully as not to break or damage any of them, stopping every few paced to crouch down and examine ones that caught her eye before coming to a rather dull, old looking one, far more matured than the others. She promptly picked the box up upon observing it; cradling it with one arm so she could use her free hand to feel it. Nothing else seemed odd. Just it's looks. There didn't seem to be any sort of ownership about it either. Her eyes rose from the box after only a moment to look around the hall. Others were here, though scarce. The boxes were for them, it seemed. Shrugging it off, the Gardevoir turned and made her way back out of the maze of boxes and off to a far end of the hall where she sat on the ground with the box sitting between her legs. Might as well open it then.

{{ A see-through box... or it should be. You can't seem to see what's inside. }}    Istas & Azra & Skye"C'mon! Hurry up, Azzie! Let's go, let's go, let's go! Hurry uuup~!" the Pichu squealed excitedly. She giggled, her high-pitched voice like the chiming of bells as it echoed in the great hall. She was hurrying forward, struggling to move as quickly as possible. Azra was trying to keep a grip on the younger child with a psychic link; a thin cord of aura connecting the two forms. There were too many strangers around for them to want the child out of their sight.
The two older girls glanced knowingly at eachother, smiles lighting their faces. The joys and innocence of being that little; they'd long since forgotten how that felt.
They waited their turn, and finally got a chance to look at the options strewn around them. According to the guildmasters, they were allowed to take a present; just one. The prospect of that long-awaited gift was more than exciting enough for Istas, as the young Electric-type was bouncing up and down just to try and see past the crowd. As a small gap appeared between the other teams, Istas rushed forward. Azra yelped in surprise, suddenly finding herself being thrown into someone next to her.
"Sorry! I tripped!" supplied the Riolu on instinct. She didn't want to bother explaining the psychic link when she didn't have to. She pulled the cord in again, watching as the white and blue Pichu was dragged back into view, clutching a perfectly clear box.
Skye blinked in astonishment, staring at it. It was clear as fallen rain, as icicles on a winter's day. Surely she'd be able to see the treasures within... but nothing was there. It was a box of solid, flowing matter. It shimmered light diamonds in the light, though the surface was smooth to the touch. It held nothing within, but something about the box was so magical, so beautiful, that no one really felt the need to argue with Istas' decision.
"Is this the right one, Snow?"
"Present mine!" squealed the child happily.
The young girls of Team Stormcloud headed back to their team room, gift in hand, to show their family the treasure they'd found.

(( Taking 'a plain, white box. It's completely blank.' ))   Eros + IsisEros giggled as he floated over to Isis with a wide smile on his face, "WAKE UP!" He shouted excitedly, giggling even more when Isis jumped up from the bed and let out a VERY girlish scream.
Eros just kept giggling at the shocked face of the Smoochum, "Let's get down to the hall place!"
Isis just huffed as she gave the most intense glare she had ever given, at Eros.
Calming her racing heart she took a couple of deep, calming breaths. Otherwise she would have punched the ghost type in the damn face!
"Eros...You....little...." She then punched the Misdreavus in the face with an Ice Punch, "Idiot!" Eh...It calmed her anyway.
Eros just pouted, "Fine Isis let's just get going."

At the place with the strange tree, "OOH! Presents~" He said excitedly as Isis just rolled her eyes.
Sifting through the pile of boxes he gasped, "Let's take this one!"
Isis stared at the plain white box, it looked completely.......boring, why the hell would Eros take it?
The Smoochum sighed, "Eros....You....Whatever...Let's go."
Eros just smiled as he floated the box to Isis, "Alright~ Ooh! I should get people stuff~"
He then tittered as he giggled.
Isis scoffed, "Who would even care."
Eros just stuck his tongue out at her.

Aidan volunteered himself to be the lone representative for his team (ignore the joint sprite) despite contrary requests that didn't think he was up and ready to be moving around on his own just yet. Granted it wasn't all that often for him to be entirely alone to begin with, but as of late he was beginning to think it best to start distancing himself from his twin sister for both of their sakes. Ever since their last mission together, the realization had become apparent in the lives of both of them that they were self sufficient on their own if appropriate amounts of pressure were applied and should start acting as such. The topic need not be discussed with word, all it took was mutual understanding simply by glancing into eachother's eyes just as how the twins often found themselves communicating.
Looking more frail and uncomfortable in his own skin than usual, the Riolu having blatantly lost some girth in his time under hospital care, Aidan made his way through the crowds of Pokemon and grabbed the nearest box he was able to get his hands on. He was rather enjoying his time out of his team room and the eyes of constant care that loomed over him, but right now he about had enough of the outside world and wouldn't mind getting back home. It was only after he had cleared the hoard of festive guildians that he realized the package within his paws was shaking rather ferociously. In this moment the realization that all of his attempts to read the aura of the contents of both his own gift and those in the immediate area were fruitless. A peculiar precaution at that for the guild to take to ensure no one knew what they were getting; a truly surprising present. Despite how fishy this all seemed, Aidan shrugged it off without question and departed from the shadow of the tree.

 &  &  ( Blue & GOOP & Jay ) "Goop!"
"Goooooper"
Blue and Jay wandered the halls, looking for their lost teammate. again
"Goop! Yo, Goop!"
"Go- whoa!"
Blue Stopped suddenly. A great commotion, boxes everywhere. Big tree in the middle, beautifully decorated. And it was all for them? "I want one!" Jay was already looking at the boxes. Blue, however, was too busy pointing at the tree. "He's up there!"
At the of the top branches of the tree was Goop, stuck onto one branch as he mindlessly chewed on another. Blue grabbed Jay by the collar, "Get Goop first, presents later" "Butbutbut-" people were starting to take them! The Zorua sighed, "Fine. Have it your way, wife"
He began to glimmer, his body turning all black as it morphed into the shape of a Pidgeot. He then flew to the top where Goop was, grabbing him with his feet, "Yoink!" the Zorua-turned-Pidgeot flew down, dropping the Shellos off next to Blue and landing next to a box.
A rather...loud box.
He reverted back, staring at the box with wonder. It shook slightly, but what really got him was the sound it made. A low, sort of screaming sound. "...We'll take this one!" Blue looked at him, "what no" Jay grinned, "Yeah we are" The Zorua went up and sttod on his hing legs, front paws touching the box as he began to push
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" The box let out a wail that continued until Jay, rather shocked and disturbed, backed up and ran from it until it quieted down. The Zorua's eyes were wide, and Blue held back a smile. That was kinda funny, actually, and Jay was ready for round two...as he began to go towards the box once more.
He tapped it with his paw, "AAAH!" it let out for the brief moment that Jay's paw was close to him. The Zorua did it again, another scream. He kept tapping it, the screams bursting out and dying with each tap. "...THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER!" He looked over at Blue, "Yeah no we're taking this one home"
The Sneasel was dumbstruck. "But its...its just..." Goop slid out from behind him, jumping onto the box. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" It screamed and shook, and he frowned, jumping off and cowering behind Jay. The Zorua laughed, "It won't hurt you. Look, its fun" He began tapping it again, and slowly, the Shellos began to smile.
He liked the shaky box! Sure, it was kinda loud, but it looked really fun! He bit down on the corner, causing endless screaming and shaking from it. Jay smirked, "Two versus one, we're taking it home~" the Zorua began to glimmer again, turning into a Machoke. He lifted the box, and Goop, with ease, walking back to the team room with it.
Blue just sighed. How was he going to explain this one...

Yeah, I was told. 3: Thank you for still loving me.
I have a laptop now, barely, cause it sucks chicken butts and our internet is slow. BUT I SHALL POST, and try a little bit harder to be active.

Gypsy was certain this was meant to be a thank you, however, and did not budge from her spot as the ever so grumpy Zephyr walked away, like he always did. "Nu-uh, this was meant for us." She commented as the guild made the final decision of whether it was safe or not to approach the tree. Gypsy watched on with excited eyes; it wasn't often she got a present. The guild members started rushing jubilantly towards the tree, grabbing whatever present they could. The Ninetails also did the same, but was farther away and in less of a rush. She came back moments later with a box on her back. It glowed. "Wow, people are pretty pushy." She said, referring to the mob as the box slid off her back. "I considered tackling someone for a color-changing box, but I was too lazy." The fire type flipped over onto her back and looked up to the sky, to the tree. Though she did like that team time, it was nice to finally be home, with her extended family. The guild.
"Alright, let's get back to the room then, shall we?" Echo clapped her hands/paws together to get both Gypsy's and Zephyr's attention. The grey Scyther picked up the box with relative ease even though his arms were scythes, and the team trio walked off like many other teams, glowing box in hand.

As she arrived upon the scene of the tree, it was somewhat clear that many had come and gone before her already. Although there were still a number of presents beneath the magnificent tree, they were obviously picked over by the odd gaps here and there amongst their arrangement. The tree itself was marvelous to behold, its ornamentation lovely and varied in a very festive manner that at any other time would have warmed the Pikachu's heart to behold. As it was a ghost of a smile touched her lips as she approached the evergreen, though it tried it couldn't become a fully fledged smile thanks to the troubles that weighed upon her heart. Era spotted the small note amidst the branches and went up to read it out of simple curiosity: what she read there did nothing less than bring tears to her eyes. It was somewhat shameful to feel those tears running down her cheeks even though no one else was there, but once they started she couldn't stop them. The Electric Type's heart was touched by the fact that someone had cared enough to give this gesture of goodwill to them, to say that what they did was appreciated. Her silent tears fell like quiet raindrops from a raincloud that had long been holding more than it could carry, and continued to fall until there were no more to be had. With one last look at the note, Era turned and glanced over the remaining boxes fleetingly.
Her gaze was immediately drawn to one of the deepest blue color that seemed a bit different from the others. It sat next to one identical to itself, a pair of twins standing as patient sentinels awaiting something that hadn't happened yet. The Pikachu walked over to them carefully and examined them with utmost care though she didn't touch either, her expression measured with intrigue. Something about them caught her interest although she couldn't identify it, and that was what made her decide to take the one on the left side into her paws. She looked at its twin with apology, knowing that she could only take one, before turning with her box and slipping off into the hall again without a word as wraith-like as before. Gifts are out, yo. All except for Darky's, which will be dealt with soon enough.
Anyone who hasn't taken a gift yet has a 3 day grace period (it IS the holidays) to claim one. At that point, the thread will be closed and the remaining gifts will be dealt with. Yes... "dealt with."
@Various people: You don't have to feel bad at all. You're totally loved and I just wanted to let you know that. I know after a period of absence it can be hard to come back to things like this so I mostly wanted to let you know that you're always welcome.
