So my grandpa was in the Resistance in WW2 and back then he owned a rifle, a Steyr-Mannlicher M1895 model. It's been modified not to fire on his request prior to his death and it's above my fireplace today.
While cleaning, I decided to do some dust removal on it and came across the serial number, then I decided to so some searching on google as it's serial number indicates it was a military issue weapon. even more so when it's a old rifle.
Turns out this rifle was used by a Austro-Hungarian soldier in WW1, it's actually been at some point in the hands of a man in one of the trenches.
So the rifle has been used in both World Wars and now It's here in my little den.
Granted you all might not give a ******** but I find that quite remarkable. emotion_awesome

I'm extremely interested in this actually. Link me to the info you found if you're able, I wanna learn more about it. I love this kind of stuff. I have a couple of antiques that have been through more than I realized too.
