I think we need a third type of RPs.
Right now, all we have are the Main Sanctioned RPs, then everything else is a Side RP.
As a result, we have RPs that are sticking to the story, and those who are going all willy nilly, both being called Side RPs.
I propose we change it to this:
Main RPs: Part of Continuity. These are crew run, primary RPs. They are used by crew to establish main events, lore and push the overall story foward. See: [Main: Earth], [Main: The Moon Kingdom]
Side RPs: Part of Continuity. Run by random members, designed to compliment Main RP's and provide character development opportunities within continuity. These RPs follow all the rules of Main RPs, but tend to be more focused on Charactor development, background information and minor events rather than major event development. If they fail to follow the rules, established continuity, established lore or somehow thwart story plans, then they either have to go back and FIX it, or it gets converted to a Random RP and is kicked out of continuity. Random RP: RP's that don't follow our lore, are not part of continuity, have nothing to do with us, or otherwise don't belong. Perfectly allowable, but labeling them will prevent confusion and allows RPrs to do whatever crazy thing they desire. See: [Side RP] The Queens Chamber - Open (weee vamp ruby!)

I like this idea. It allows for members who are not crew to start up RPs that help with the background of their characters, without interfering with all of the for-fun RPs we have going on.
Also, at the end of the season, this will make it easier for the crew to archive. The main threads will have a section in the archive and the side threads will have a section in the archive, but the random RPs can either be locked and recycled or - if still being used - can be moved to the Season Two forum for people to continue to use.

I like this idea too, as well as what Topaz suggested. If you don't mind, I am quoting Saph and the rest of the crew to look at this as well....and bump goes the topic

I'm glad, Its killing my brain trying to figure out which RPs are trying to be part of continuity and which ones are just having fun. xD OH thats the word I was trying to think of... continuity. -goes and edits first post-

Hey everyone, just so you know, when it comes to things like this... you need to message me and get my approval before implementing it. I just went through a couple threads to change them to side roleplays because I thought you guys weren't following the rules and all.
The way I have it established, side roleplays are basically the equivalent of your random roleplay description. Main/Side roleplays (threads that are labeled as M/S or just Main/Side) are meant to be your description for side roleplays. To have your roleplay established as an M/S, you message me, Diamond, or a member of the crew to get approval of that title.
The reason I want it titled as "Main/Side" is so that the definition of the thread can be understood in the name itself (it's apart of the main roleplay, but it's more "to the side" or just a "meanwhile..." sort of thing). I'm pretty sure I explained this in the sticky on Main vs. Side Roleplays, but if not, please let me know. ^^;
