Truthfully, Sempur is like a wild animal. You have to handle him a certain way. Don't look him in the eyes, he'll take it as a challenge. Make sure your movements are slow and deliberate so he knows exactly what you're doing, lest he takes it the wrong way and attacks. Don't approach from behind, don't infringe on his territory, let sleeping Semps lie... Really, it's best to leave him alone period.
After all, there's a reason he's been isolated up in the mountains for so long. Sempur is very private and reserved, but by no means shy. Just always business, and his business is discipline. Not very well-versed in dealing with other trolls, Sempur's first instinct is to set a pecking order, be it a quick glance at the other's symbol color, or punching in the snout to establish dominance. Yes, he particularly likes the latter option.
He also particularly likes being in charge, immediately taking command and giving orders whether the other troll wants him to or not. Usually not, but it's not like he's one to notice or care! Sempur is incredibly arrogant and simply does not comprehend that other trolls may have thoughts and ideas of their own, or, god forbid, he may be wrong sometimes.
If it's not those delusions of grandeur making him difficult to be around, Sempur's hair-trigger temper and violent nature is sure to drive anyone else away. He can go from terse and stoic to snarling and threatening and back to calm again in an instant, his disciplined image hiding a more impatient, unstable nature.
Sempur is completely set in his ways and does not think to question troll society or the hemospectrum. He hates change and sees nothing wrong with the caste system, gleefully taking advantage of his higher blueblood status, while completely bowing to the whims of any higherblood. We all have our place, and Sempur never breaks regulation.

Ambitious: Sempur always strives to be at the top, the best of the best in any situation, and has the over-the-top tenacity to make his lofty goals come true. An immense perfectionist, he will accept no flaw or failure in himself or others and will let nothing stand in his way in whatever he puts his mind to.
Courageous: There is absolutely nothing that can scare Sempur. After all, if most fears stem from the possibility of injury or death, things Sempur is pretty much gung-ho for, then what reason has he to harbor fears? His indomitable bravery is truly inspiring... And worrisome, what with his stunted self-preservation instincts because of it. He's more likely to get angry, and therefore violent, than afraid of something.
Disciplined: And how. A master of self-control, it's nigh impossible to distract or deter Sempur. That is, unless you happen to be higher in the hemospectrum. Then, Sempur is uncharacteristically docile, as obedient and loyal as a dog, loathe to waste time and always carrying out orders as perfectly and as efficiently as possible.
Forbearing: For how much of a hard-a** he seems, Sempur is surprisingly tolerant of other trolls. Sure, he will make his disdain very clear, but he is not one to completely drive away lowbloods or give up on his "recruits." The way he sees it, they need someone like him to redeem them!

Domineering: Because of his ambition and, well, delusion that he is 100% perfect, Sempur feels the need to always be in command of every situation. He thinks of himself as a great and infallible leader; it's either his way or the highway. Unfortunately, his way is either ridiculously strict and and routine... or stupidly dangerous.
Glory Hound: I'm sure it's been firmly established by now just how much Sempur lusts for recognition. Always wanting to take credit for achievements, both real and imagined, Sempur is not above using dirty tactics to gain power and prestige. He simply does not realize they are bad marks on his honor!
Killjoy: No fun allowed ever. Sempur simply doesn't seem to get the concept of leisure, believing everything must be work towards perfecting oneself, or learning about and celebrating the greatness of glorious Alternia. If he thinks something is pointless, Sempur will completely refuse to partake in such "ridiculous frivolities."
Stubborn: Sempur's most notable trait. Once he sets his mind to something, it's almost impossible to change his mind, for better or for worse. Usually for the worse. Sempur often thinks his way is the only way, and simply can't understand why others may not agree with him, or that he might be mistaken in any way.

» [Appearance]
Build: Tall and solidly built, Sempur's impeccably straight and proud posture only adds to his looming stature. He's not incredibly muscled of course, still young, but there's no doubt he's a fighter. He's built more for endurance than speed, a wall with taking hits. Funny thing—Sempur often stands with his hands clasped behind his back. Sure, he looks pretty pompous like that, but it's mostly just so he doesn't look at his hands and feel tempted to start carving.
Hair: For one so keen on keeping up appearances, Sempur's mohawk is surprisingly unruly. Fluffy and spiked every which way, he prefers to ignore it most days, perhaps secretly wishing his horns would allow him to wear a nice officer's cap instead.
Horns: Yes, speaking of those horns, the crack in his right horn has since grown. That is, it's completely snapped off. Despite his obsession with carrying "war-wounds," Sempur quite liked his impressive horns and is still rather sore about his new asymmetrical appearance. It's best not to point it out unless you want a punch in the face.
Eyes: Always scrutinizing and glaring and judging, Sempur's eyes are not his prettiest feature. Implying he has any in the first place but, well, the dark bags under his eyes make his harsh gaze even more striking. Too many long nights training will do that to a troll!
Expression: Even his calmest expression is stony-serious, though it's very quick to change to any degree of, well, anger. The more teeth Sempur bares, the worse it is. A curled lip for distaste, full-on all canines bared for you'd better run. But smiling? What's that?
Clothing: Like any good troll ought to do, Sempur keeps to drab colors, preferring black and utilitarian clothing with a militaristic flair, from combat-ready with his boots, to the more showy dress uniform—just don't ask him to wear gloves, he hates them.
Other: All those scars. Surprisingly enough, most of Sempur's scars are self-inflicted, particularly the ones on his hands. His fingers and palms are just an absolute mess of slash marks from his trench knife, proof that addiction is a powerful thing indeed. To add to his lovely damaged appearance, Sempur's nose is very noticeably crooked now, healing poorly after having been broken by Pyruet. Several times.

Non-Fiction: From biographies of war heroes to documentaries of bloody battles, Sempur studies them all. Obsessed with entering the troll army himself one day, Sempur wants to learn all he can to be the *~perfect~* soldier. He's got shelves full of the stuff, but keeps the more cheesy, pulp action stories well-hidden.
Uniforms: Sempur also enjoys collecting war memorabilia, focusing on old uniforms. Even more specifically, the fancier dress uniforms. Sure, they're not very practical in combat, but damn are they fiiiine. He especially admires, of all things, the buttons. He could probably identify a uniform by a button alone.
Ogling: As much as he hates the city, Sempur is often tempted to visit New Hemisect anyway, just to admire the glorious imperial presence. Soldiers catch his immediate attention, infatuation even; Sempur's like a fanboy when it comes to soldiers.

Snare Drum: Sempur's main instrument of choice, he practices every day, marching to cadences. He also plays obnoxiously loud, naturally, every beat echoing off the mountain walls. Just don't expect him to play anything other than marches.
Accordian: Why Sempur has an accordian, no one knows. Although he practices it significantly less than his snare, there's no doubt he's still skilled with the accordian. He just rarely busts it out because it's so dumb.
Others: It is a truly respectable skill to master an instrument, and Sempur admires other musicians, provided they play the boring anthems and marches he likes so much. Surprisingly enough, Sempur is also fond of classical music, though it's even rarer to see him listening to the somber piano pieces he likes so much.

Scarring: Scars are totally badass and a sign of status, right? They are to Sempur, and that's what matters. He's very casual about maiming himself for scars, disturbingly enough, cutting his face or hands like it's no big deal. It's a messy hobby.
Sparring: Sempur enjoys sparring, be it boxing practice or a good ol' scuffle with another troll. Thing is, he always fights to win, so practice often turns serious anyway. The way he sees it, injuries are a success! Tying into his love of scars, Sempur is also quite the fan of fencing.
Challenges: What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. This is what Sempur actually believes. Always testing himself, Sempur is not one to back down from a challenge. The more life-threatening the better, really.

Name: Wojtek
Nicknames: Badgerdad, Ol' Blood and Guts
Gender: Male
Color: Blueblood
Some sort of honey badger/megatherium/bear-thing, Wojtek towers over his ward when he stands up on his hind legs, and hell he's pretty damn formidable even when shuffling about on all fours. A very simple lusus, Wojtek is mostly concerned with his next meal. He tries to be a good badgerdad for his Sempy, but is often absent for days on end, wandering off to search the mountain for anything edible. So, basically any living thing that isn't his troll.
When he is around, Wojtek, out of guilt, tries to be a kind and supportive parent. He dotes on Semp, watching out for his unstable sonboy and doing whatever he says. Only Sempur is an ungrateful s**t and often goads Wojtek into fighting him, obsessed with getting cut by those huge claws. Wojtek never does go too far, but their shouting matches and fistfights are still vicious, and it starts the cycle of Wojtek feeling guilty all over again.
Sempur is simply embarrassed of his overbearing lusus, and hates that he should get special treatment learned from garbage parenting books. That's not Wojtek, he's seen what a tough, forceful b*****d he can be. If anything, he's where Sempur learned to be so TENACIOUS in the first place! But he also hates when Wojtek suddenly snaps and tries to tell him what to do, completely going against their established power dynamic. It seems no matter what Wojtek does, he can never make Sempur happy.
So maybe they are both better off when badgerdad leaves for his hunting trips. He just misses when Semp used to tag along.

[Picture Someday!]
Sempur's hive is like a castle, a monolithic stone structure looming in the mountains. It's built a bit out of the way of the nameless Busthind town, hidden enough to keep others away, but close enough for the occasional trip for supplies. For such a perfectionist, Sempur's hive is a bit worse for wear, crumbling here and there from withstanding so many avalanches and who knows what else. Half of the hive is built into the side of the mountain, a bunker of sorts! It's here Sempur spends most of his time, the unspoken rule being NO WOJTEKS ALLOWED.
The rooms are large, but very cold and mostly barren. Neglected, you could say. All the rooms are so neat it's like they've been untouched for years. It's easy to get lost if you don't know your way around, wandering into a dusty library one moment to a room like a museum full of glass cases the next, to three completely empty rooms in a row. It's kind of eerie, especially if you manage to find Sempur's room. Easy to overlook, just as desolate as any other room, Sempur doesn't decorate his room like other kids. No posters plastered here! Just the bare necessities, recupercoon, dresser, whatever get out.
It'd be cool to imagine the hive is like those spooky castles full of trick rooms or exciting safes behind paintings (of war heroes), but that's totally not the case. Not here! So don't you go ********' snooping.

For as much as Sempur enjoys studying the history of his war heroes, and says he himself will go down in history, he is strangely silent about his past. His usual private attitude, or a cover-up?! Actually, it may be surprising to learn, but Sempur lived in New Hemisect City when he younger, moving to Busthind Mountain at around 5 sweeps old. Life has been uneventful since, so isolated up there in the cold and treacherous peaks.
Things only really got started up again when Sempur made his first trip to Four Fronds—not to relax, who do you take him for? No, Sempur wanted to see the new Empress give her speech. That fell through, but he ended up registering for the Battle Royale along with his recruits Sarcel and Fellah. He went up against a purpleblood, Frossa Fyrste, in the first round and won. Round two went slightly less well. A greenblood, Pyruet Tropos, completely dominated him in the ring and you can imagine how well Sempur took that.
As much as he would have loved to forget that run-in, it was not to be so, as Sempur and Sarcel once again crossed paths with Pyruet at another speech given by the queen. With the mother grub falling ill, all able-bodied trolls were to go underground and search. A dream come true for Sempur, if not for the fact that he ended up teaming up with not only his ever-present recruit, but Pyruet and an enigmatic greyblood, too. Thus Team Bad End was formed.
Although the training camp was rather uneventful, with Sempur mostly tormenting Sarcel, it was in the caves that s**t really went down. After trying to speak to the hemoanon troll, Zeylla, Sempur was thrown off a cliff. No, really. It's how his horn was broken. Naturally, he flipped s**t and went into his biggest rage-fit yet, though Pyruet was quick to do damage control and Sarcel avenged her leader.
When Sempur finally regained consciousness, it was straight into a battle with a leechdragon, all trolls converging in one point to fight the monster. The rest is mostly a blur to Sempur, with Sarcel stepping up to the plate to deliver the plant needed to heal the Mother Grub. He'd be proud of her if he wasn't secretly jealous. But forget all of that, Sempur's beyond it now.
No, now he has to deal with being a little kid. After rather stupidly taking a potion from a shady dealer, Sempur's physical form has been reverted to the body of a child. He still has all of his scars, thankfully, but he's not too keen on staying like this for long. As always, Sempur and Sarcel are on the case to track the culprit down!

 Sarcel Cincil - A Work in Progress
They've had many ups and downs in their horrendous working relationship together, but even Sempur has to admit Pathetic's loyalty is admirable. She's stuck around obediently this long, so it seems there is indeed hope in this blueblood yet. Don't get him wrong, she still has a long, long, looong way to go, but she has made improvements and it's all thanks to him!
Probably the only troll he trusts, even though Sempur would never admit it, it's obvious in how inseparable they are. Although he is no less terrible to her, still quick to yell at her and slap her around, the overwhelming disgust he felt before has been largely replaced with a grudging recognition of her efforts. She's done well for beautiful Alternia, and well for him. Let's see that she keeps it up.
Opimus Fellah - One of the Good Ones
A pleasant surprise when so many other lowbloods are so deplorable, Sempur respects Opimus for being useful to venerable Alternia with his farming. He certainly doesn't like the rustblood, put off by how forward he is, but his obedience is a plus.
Once a promising recruit, Opimus has since disappeared from under Sempur's iron rule. Not too big of a loss, the peasant can go ahead and flounder in mediocrity, but Sempur wouldn't mind checking up on his progress. He damn well better still be providing for glorious Alternia.
Pyruet Tropos - Completely Irredeemable
A constant thorn in his side ever since she pummeled him at the Battle Royale, his first tactic of trying to ignore her existence has been made rather hard by her constant butting in and tagging along. She utterly ruined the cave expedition for him, he swears up and down that it was all her fault, and Sempur's since decided he'll just have to prove how inferior she is.
Pyruet's something of a rival now, albeit a rather poor one because there is no way she even measures up to him! He's simply humoring the poor sad girl!! Just wait until the rematch. That will be sure to settle things once and for all. She's nothing to Sempur.

Sempur's name comes from sempurna, Indonesian for "perfect" + Mellivora capensis, the scientific name of the honey badger. Also, Sempur is a pun on the Marine motto "semper fi!"
See that scalemate up there? That's Matchmaker Coalsmell! Wojtek figured his ward could use a little buddy... Only Sempur absolutely hates it. He's always trying to get rid of it and forget about it, but somehow, it keeps coming back.
