"What's so special about the palace, though...? 's the first time you've wanted to do something this big."
"They say, you know, that the leader has a necklace. Real special. Always under guard. Real valuable too, probably."
The grin on the Furret's face told the rest of the story.

 SolarisIt started. Quietly, at first. A slight dance on the edge of his consciousness. It was nothing, then. A quiet shuffling and voices that weren't even a whisper. They simply slipped in one ear and out the other without so much as a blink or an opened eye. The tired mind spoke to him, told him not to worry. It was just the machinations of a dream. He was simply resting on the border between asleep and aware, in that strange moment where the voices of the subconscious still echoed in one's mind; a lost dream and nothing more. A brief, pervasive silence overtook the air until it was sharply cut but a pained yelp. Solaris's eyes flickered open and he came face to face with a figure in the darkness. " He's awake! Run!" There was a brief flicker of illumination that outlined the figures of three Furret and a certain box. It had been rigged by Tempest to shock anyone stupid enough to grab hold of it--only psychics were supposed to be able to open or handle it. She'd done such a thing just in case this very event happened. Solaris scrambled out of his bed as fast as he could and sprinted towards the door after them but the thieves significantly outran him. The Espeon quickly turned back and smashed a red button on a nearby console. The alarm and voice that rang out would be carried throughout the palace by the speaker system. " There's thieves in the palace. All guild members are ordered to track them down and capture them by any means necessary. This is not a drill, this is mandatory. They've taken one of the pendants." Solaris sprinted out of his room, hoping fervently that that would be enough. All the windows were locked down, but the security system didn't exactly create an inescapable bubble. If they didn't hurry up and find those furrets fast, they wouldn't be able to get the pendant back in time. Tolin would have his hide. ***** Thieves are in the castle! Track them down and capture them by any means necessary. Fortunately, there's a bit of a security system installed that should help limit the problems. For one, all the windows are locked down (though there might be other ways out of the palace). For two, everyone's now awake--it's unlikely they're anywhere in the west wing. Though, it looks like they didn't hit up just one room... The teams are all missing possessions as well! Rules for the chapter:
- You may post no more often than once an hour per team, disregarding the first post in this thread. So if you bring team A and team B and you post with team A, you must wait 60 minutes before posting again with A but may post but B at any time.
- You must make one post in this thread of your characters waking up. This covers who you're bringing and what items are missing. One item must be missing per team and it must always be valuable.
- All posts otherwise are to be in the Palace subforum. When you make a post, roll a 20-sided die or do a random number of 1-20. The function of this is hidden. There may not be any function at all.
- Shortly after you post, I'll make a reply. This reply will resolve the general results of your search within that area and will also notify your team of any sounds you hear in nearby areas.
Just in case there's any uncertainty, stolen items will be returned. At some point. It's not a permanent loss.

Atra's eyes snapped open the moment he realized what was wrong. The last hour or so perhaps of his sleep had been restless, as if something on the edge of his mind was urging him to wake. He only now realized why. The Flareon rolled over on his bed, his paw hitting his bedside table. His heart dropped when he realized it had hit the bedside table instead of the Earth Plate he had lain on top of it. So that was what had been bothering him. He was missing a key link to Arceus. The only reason it had not woken up up was because of the Icicle Plate he wore around his neck, which was much closer. The Flareon was out of bed in a flash, using a weak kinesis to turn the light switch on. "Mmmmm...Atra?" A sleepy voice asked from the corner of the room as the Flareon headed for the door. Atra paused and turned to see Hope the Jirachi floating up from her bed, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. "The Earth Plate is missing, do you know-" Atra was cut off by the static of the announcement system followed by Solaris' news. Well, that explains a few things. Damn those guys are dead. "Hope, take us to the-""Atra, did you hear that?" A Bulbasaur charged into the room, sounding slightly winded and not looking entirely completely awake. "Yes, I did. They stole the Earth Plate.""They took a pendant too!" Melissa sounded rather worried about this. Something about the fact that the last time they dealt with anything involving a pendant Atra had his insides torn out. "Hope, take us to the Courtyard." If someone was trying to escape, and they had any ability to climb or fly, they can escape through the courtyard.

  Eros + LilithEros groaned as he woke up from his attempt at a nap, being a ghost type, it was quite difficult to fall asleep completely as he kept...hearing stuff.
He sometimes hated having slight paranoia. Not that anyone else knew about that of course.
As the alarms sounded Eros woke up with a start, or at least floated up and opened his eyes, "Wait? What? A robbery?!"
He then began searching around his team room, everything seemed to be in place. There was his scarf still on him, Isis' secret romance book collection seemed to be perfectly safe (though he wasn't supposed to know about THAT) he then checked the drawers and gasped.
Iris' box o' shiny rocks was missing, if she/he found out...oh Eros didn't want to be around for THAT kind of crying.
He then remembered he hid a dusk stone in the box and gasped, he completely forgot about all that!
Tearing out of the room he started to float off, ready to join the hunt.
He then shivered as he stopped suddenly and picked something off the back of one of his 'tentacle' like hairs, seeing a familiar disturbing looking Magikarp he sighed, "Guess you are coming along then."
Lilith just hissed as she kept clung to Eros, though now looking out for anyone to suck their life. Some of it at least. She then watched as Eros headed for the rooftop, she was glad it was dark out.

((I apologize in advance for the quality of my posts for this chapter. I'm visiting NYC for the weekend so I don't have much time and have to make these on my IPod)) Erinn & Riley As the alarm sounded loudly, awakening all members of Team MistMelody who had been peacefully sleeping, the general chaos of the Guild's average disaster descended upon them immediately. The first problem was the fact that many of their number were away, their Leaders were on a mission, Ava, Eon, and Sereni were off looking after Phione, and the remaining six were all that was left. The second problem was the muted cry that escaped Riley's lips as his paws reached up to touch his treasured sun charm that always adorned his neck, only to find it to have vanished. Those remaining gathered in the center of the room, Irilyss tending to a frightened Rivia as Celus watched Erinn be tormented by an onslaught of delighted comments from Faran. Riley stood at the forefront of the group and stared them down in all seriousness. "Well, you heard the announcement," the Eevee said to the other five, "The thieves stole a pendant, not only that but I'd venture to say they've paid us a visit as well. All things considered, they probably have visited other Teams as well, so we need to find them as soon as possible. Erinn, you come with me. The rest of you...well, if you feel up to it you're welcome to tag along-not you Faran."
The Paras looked thoroughly flummoxed at the statement and forced a counter comment. "Wh-What?!" he exclaimed, "Why do I have to go! Take Irilyss instead!"
"You're going because I said you're going!" Riley snapped, irritable because of his misfortune. The Eevee grabbed the bag and then the protesting Paras by the claw. "Now come on, we have some thieves to catch!" In his haste, Riley failed to notice the genuine fear behind Erinn's normal paranoia, a fear of something that had been weighing on him ever since its occurrence.

Harumi - Victor - Aiden
Harumi was the first to spring awake at the sound of the intercom.
"Get up, you guys!" she shouted loudly. "Now!"
As Victor and Aiden began to awaken, the spazztic little Eevee began frantically searching for anything in the room that could be regarded as valuable.
God, if anything was missing, she would flip...
"Jeez, thieves in the Guild now? I swear, regular civilian homes are safer than this place..." Aiden muttered, yawning as he stood to his feet.
"No... nonono, where is it?!"
Victor began to approach the young Eevee, who was practically tearing the place apart in search for one item.
"May I ask what you're looking for, Miss Harumi...?" The Scyther inquired, watching her destroy the room he'd just worked so hard to clean.
"My Yin-Yang necklace! My dad gave it to me, it's gone!" Harumi whimpered, looking up at Victor.
Her eyes were rather watery at the loss of this trinket.
"It probably got st-" Aiden was cut off by Victor's foot in his face.
"We will head out in search for it, there's not a moment to lose!"
With that, the group left the room, a little blood trail following Aiden from his likely broken nose.

Reds eyes were the first to burst open at the sound of the alarm.
Out of everyone in the team, she had woken up first. Maybe because she had slept first? Gah, whatever, where were they again? Weren't they all in the hallway when they fell- her eyes caught the date on the calender. That last alarm, when they met Cresselia...
That last alarm was a week or two ago. Maybe three. She groaned, they'd screwed up pretty bad huh? The Vulpix stretched, might as well check up on everything...or, actually, no time. The alarm, that thing was still ringing? How was she the only one awake! Ahh, ignore it Reddy, just go and get some food, then wake up the others and worry about it.
She jumped off her pillow, once off putting her paw under it and raising it up slightly. "Hello How-" her eyes went wide. The old Vulpix plush that was usually under her pillow was no longer there. "H-Howie...? THOSE THIEVES!" They must have taken Howie! She needed to go catch them now and bring him back! Oh, yeah, and the pendant, that too...
But...they wouldn't go with her if she told them to. Her fit was not enough to will people into doing this. No, she needed another equally as powerful, or maybe even more powerful, b***h fit to add to hers. And she knew just who to get it from...
Somehow, carefully, she was able to remove all of Jay's earrings. He was going to be so mad when he got up. Perfect. The Vulpix tossed them underneath her pillow, now it was time to get everyone up. 3, 2, 1..."GET UP!!!" she yelled as loud as she could. Blue nearly jumped out of her dirt mound, her head poking out seconds later. "Arceus, could you be any louder?!" she crawled out, annoyed glare staring right at Red. She flicked an ear, "Theres an alarm" "We'll get to it!"
"No, we're doing it now" Blue groaned, "Why now!" "Because, ready?" She tapped her paw on the ground, wait for it, wait for it..."MY BAAAAABIES!" Jay was now standing atop the bed, his panicked cry enough to wake up everyone in the room. The Zorua began running in circles, "Where are they, where are they!!!" he dug on the bed, the springy mattress only making his paws bounce up.
"Some thieves took them" Jay whipped his head around, looking at Red with murderous eyes. "Thie...find them, MURDER THEM! I WANT THEM DEAD!" he jumped off the bed, turning into a Zebstrika and grabbing Blue and Red in his mouth. He put the two on his back, charging at the wall. He bust right through it, making a giant hole...he'd fix that later. For now, all that mattered was that the bandits needed to DIEEEE.  ::  ::  ✗ Louvell :: Senka :: Ash ✗A call came through to Tricksters other rooms, the outdated walkietalkie in the room giving in a static filled message, "Zenka...Zenka..." the hooded pokemon was quick to grab it, she was always awake at this hour, probably the only one besides Ren. "Hello?" she said into the walkie. Rens voice was quick to respond, "Zenka, jek if anyzing is mizzing." The hooded pokemon put the walkie talkie down, going and checking all the rooms and cabinets and such before going back to the walkie. "Oh dear, yes, Mr. Cuddles is gone!"
"...Vat is a Mr...nevermind, Vasil is mizzing his card deck. Zere are vandits in ze valace, ve zink zey took zem vut ve cannot go ourzelves, too buzy conzoling ze znake." "Zo you zink you can go vor us?" Senka nodded to herself, "Sure thing, I'll get the guys up!" "Zanks"
Senka woke up Louvell and Ash, and the trio set out to find the missing cards and Igglybuff.

"THOSE THIEVES!"
Finian was racing for the door just when Nadia and her accompanying Celebi were in the process of entering; the Riolu having the idea in mind that she would show Ein around before getting some well needed rest while waiting for her brother to be returned to her.
"Wait, what?...Oh."
The Riolu was confused at first to what was going on until she realized that her Absol teammate was missing his signature wrappings, which, well, she never seen him without.
"The one night I actually decided to try and sleep and they took my ribbons crying ."
Finian gave one last attempt at explanation before he went back into a full out sprint into the yonder darkened halls, an abnormal amount of other Pokemon up and scurrying about at this hour also. Nadia gave up trying to make sense out of anything in this moment.
"Wait uppp~~~~! You look fun~~~!
The Riolu would've commenced with the tour of their living quarters when instead Ein cried out and fluttered off after Finian, catching up rather easily in his airborne state before clinging to the Absol's head scythe unnoticed. Finian had better things to attend to like finding his ribbons. Nadia remained behind, rather being somewhere safe in this moment in comparison to any sort of nonsensical adventure. Shortly after an announcement came on over the intercom explaining that what had gone on was a guild wide event. Taking inventory nothing else at least seemed to have been lost from their rooms so as long as Finian was on the job all was well and she could attempt to put her mind at ease.

Suddenly the sharp whine of feedback sounded throughout the palace. Apparently without pressure to keep him in line, Solaris was incapable of operating even simple machinery.
"We found the thieves. Good job everyone. Meet up in the main hall and reclaim anything you lost. Rewards will be distributed in the morning."
With another sharp whine, the speaker system cut off. It seemed like everything had been taken care of somehow, though.
Good job, team?

Make one last post in the main thread to retrieve what was stolen.
The groups carrying the bags are Eros/Lilith (Misdreavus & Magikarp) and Atra/Melissa (Flareon & Bulbasaur).
Rewards will be posted (or edited into this) in not too long.
If anyone has any outstanding posts, please just edit the sound of the speaker into them or leave them as-is.
Darky, if you would like closure for Erinn, feel free to ask.

Eros + Lilith Eros smiled widely as he floated into the room, a bag floating behind him held with his ghostly energy, "That was sure interesting~" The Misdreavus sang happily.
He even found the box o' shiny rocks he needed, now he wouldn't have to hear Skittles cry.
It was the oddest sound and sort of heartbreaking at the same time.
Lilith kept attached to Eros gazing around at the hall/room, "...It's a vood thing vat our guild master was vere, da?" She asked Eros, glad that Solaris was it? She thought Eros said Solaris...anyway, it was a good thing he came by.
Eros just giggled as he put the bag on the ground, "Hee~"

  Beatrice &&& AilleenThe team marched into the room. Beatrice was on the verge of tears when she spotted the bag. "OHMYGOSH ITSMYNECKLACE!" Beatrice gently lifted the necklace out of the sack. Ailleen smiled. Beatrice frowned. "Why would they take my necklace?" Then she continued to smile. The team trotted back to their rooms.

Erinn and Riley had been meandering about the palace after they'd dealt with their thief, searching for any sign of the others. Irilyss had returned to them after a time, with a murmured remark that she'd seen to it that the Furret was now in custody. The rest of their search had been rather uneventful aside from crossing paths with a few other searching Guild members. There had been one false alarm when Erinn had thought he'd seen a glimpse of one of the thieves who had turned out to be harmless Linoone who had been trying to find his way back to his room without disturbing the searchers. There was an exchange of sheepish apologies from both sides after that, and both moved on with what they'd been doing. The task was tedious but they all were determined, especially Riley who was beginning to feel the fatigue of wandering about without addressing his residual aches and pains-his hind paw was causing him to limp by this point. Thus it was a rather blessed relief when the screeching feedback of the mike jolted the trio to a halt and they heard Solaris' voice telling them that the search was over. After recovering from the assault to their eardrums the group made an about face and headed back to the Main Hall, Riley leading the way with a glimmer of hope in his eyes that his treasure would be amongst the others.
The trio made their quiet way into the Hall and looked about at the various members already present. Riley's eye caught a glimmer in a bag that was with a Flareon and Bulbasaur nearby, and he hurried over to them. "I...think something of mine might be in there," he said to them, vaguely recognizing both both not knowing either on even an acquaintance level. "Mind if I look?" Provided he recieved permission he would paw through the bag until his paw clutched the familiar shape of a metal carved sun, and he woud pull out the charm and the collar of sorts that it hung from with relief evident in his eyes. Saying a silent thank you to whatever had blessed his luck this evening, he nodded in gratitude to the Bulbasaur and Flareon before turning and heading back to the other two. "I found it," he informed them, eyes shining warmly as he slipped the collar around his neck again and its charm shone golden against his fur. "Come on, let's go back now."
Irilyss turned to follow Riley, but Erinn stayed where he was, seemingly undecided. "Y-You guys go ahead..." the Paras said when they turned back to see why he wasn't coming with them, "I just want to check on something." Riley looked puzzled for a moment but then simply shrugged and nodded, dismissing it as one of the quirky things that Erinn just did. The Bug Type watched his Teammates go and stood there uncertainly, not really knowing what he wanted to do, or how to go about doing this. He just needed to know, to get the stress of not knowing off his back.((Cherry: Sorry for using your characters without them being here yet but I sort of hoped that Don wouldn't have been the one to steal from Erinn's Team... True he probably wouldn't care and would have just done it anyway so it could have been either but I like to think that there's some decency even among thieves. >.>;; Cy: Yeah, it'd be nice if he could have some closure if you don't mind.))

A Noctowl flew in, a Vulpix and Sneasel in his claws as he landed. The moment he let them go and touched the ground, his body began to shimmer, changing his shape to that of what he really was - a Zorua. "Wheres the stuff?!" he spotted the two bags, but...there was already a line forming to get them! "Aww man, this...this is gonna take forever" He rubbed his ear, whimpering. "I wan't my babies back ;____;"
This was the perfect opportunity for Red, who wanted to get her item without being seen. "Well...I'll wait in the line. You and Blue go to sleep and I'll stay here" Blue seemed shocked, "Why the sudden kindness?" "not sudden. The alarm woke me up so bad I can't go back to sleep" she flicked an ear, an annoyed look on her face. "Now I suggest you all get going before I start making you go."
"R-right!" Blue grabbed Jay by the collar, "Back to bed!" this got a smirk from the Zorua, "Ohohoho~ The wife seems so eager tonight" Blue began to blush. "S-shut up! I'm not you're wife and nothings happening when we get back to our rooms!" she began to walk away, and Jay only scoffed before walking with her. "Prude"
Red flicked her ear again. Those two were so stupid sometimes. She lingered around, up until the crowd turned into just a few pokemon. Silently, she went up to the bag being held by the Flareon and Bulbasaur. Reaching in with her head, she came out with an old, stuffed Vulpix plush in her mouth. "Thank you..." she mumbled to them, a slight nod before turning around and going to her room.
It felt good to have your peace of mind back. :: :: ✗ Louvell :: Senka :: Ash ✗One of the first pokemon Eros would see was a cloaked figure with a worried look on her face. She tore through the other pokemon as she came up to the bag, sticking her hand in. Mr. Cuddles, she had to save him! Oh, yeah, and the cards, she had to get the cards too...
her hand touched something airy and soft, and she pulled it out. there, in her hand, was an igglybuff with his mouth in a sort of "U" shape as he stared on with cute, vacant eyes. In his stubby hands, he held a deck of cards, six silver steel ones poking out from the deck.
She hugged the Igglybuff, running off with Louvell and Ash. Her cuddlypoo~
