Bell had been trying to enjoy her day in the wild alone. She had been collecting berries to put in her bag, because that was her favorite hobby. But just when she had found the perfect, ripest, juiciest berry... this random pokemon had showed up! The weirdo had jostled the bush that the perfect berry was growing on, and of course that made the berry fall off. And splat on the ground. It was not a perfect berry any more; now it was just a pile of bush.
This called for revenge! "Watch where you're going, you stupid, clumsy idiot!" she shouted to the pokemon she did not know. "That's it-- I'm going to teach you a lesson right now! Get ready to fight!" She gave Soar her iciest, most venom-dripping, evil purple stare that her eyes were capable of.

As usual, Soar was utterly ignorant of where he was heading. Before he knew it, the alien was knee deep in the shrubbery of a forest, wandering aimlessly and right into trouble. The Deoxys could only honk in surprise at the sudden appearance of a Delibird. It was an obnoxious blaring sound bordering on train or boat, and also his only possible vocalization. He cringed in shame at the unintentional noise.
Yet, it was the first time he'd seen this sort of pokémon. It was so cute and fluffy( ( !!!!!!! ) ) The Deoxys looked at Bell, and then down at the mess he'd made. ///NO >>I'm so sorry!!// went the gist of his thoughts as he scrambled backward out of the bush and attempted to communicate this through wiggling gestures of his tentacle-forme arms.Soar

Soar's apologetic behavior fell on deaf ears, or rather, she had already made up her mind to attack. The Deoxys decided to flee from the unwanted fight- but the beginning of said mad dash for escape ended in disaster when the furious kick he made at the ground smashed a hidden bed of rock and dirt underfoot toward the Delibird's face.

Bell was knocked off her feet by the blow, but she was soon up again. "THAT DOES IT, I AM DEFINITELY GOING TO FREEZE YOUR BUTT OT THE GROUND!" she squawked. She hated rock attacks more than anything!
"Take this!" she shouted. And then she added for good measure, "And stuff it up your butt!" She aimed an ice beam at him and released the freezing attack.

In a flash, the Delibird was up on its feet again, but Soar did not have time to be glad about it seeing as she almost immediately shot an ice beam at him. He dodged, surely enough. Looks like he wouldn't have time to be sorry, either- before she could attack him again, the Deoxys had to figure out a way to calm her down!! He stood back, extending his arms to either side. They became enveloped in a golden glow, which manifested around all of the previously dug up rocks as they levitated above the ground, dirt falling off of them in clumps before he swept them at the ice type with a firm gesture of his arms. Bell gave a squawk of pain as the rock tomb hit. How could this pokemon be so powerful? She staggered back, but refused to run away. "Would you stop it with the rocks!" she hissed, sending another ice beam at the deoxys.

O-oh no, he couldn't believe he had missed, causing even more harm to the poor bird. He curled a noodly appendage toward his chin in concern, only to be shocked by her strident voice as she shouted angrily for him to stop hitting her with rocks. ( ((I'M SORRY--!!) )) ( (YES'M!!) ) he could only broadcast in response, though the light-based language of Deoxys was lost on other pokémon.
The momentary hesitation allowed her next Ice Beam to hit, and he could only watch in horror as the ice suddenly replaced the air around him to encase him in a block from which only the tips of his tentacles emerged. At last! Her chance for revenge! But how would she do it? Punch the living daylights out of him? Pummel him with blocks of ice? Explode him with a present?
But she already knew that he was dangerous; perhaps, in this case, caution was the best choice. A long-ranged attack would give her more room to dodge in case he tried some other deadly rock attack.
She opened her beak and let out a strange beam that emitted a high-pitched, annoying sound.

Unfortunately for Soar, his budding hope that his immobilized state would open the Delibird to a calmer type of exchange was violently denied by the signal beam that she shot at him. Should he burst out and flee now? No, if he exploded out of the ice, it could hurt the wild pokémon!!
Using the attack which had caused his ice block to tilt, he started to rock back and forth to break the encasing open in a more natural manner. Good thing he couldn't get frostbite, whatever that is. Bell repeated her signal beam attack. She did not notice that Soar was already beginning to work his way free. She just wanted to exact her revenge on that random legendary!

The rocking technique was going far too slowly. When the next searing beam attack missed narrowly, the Deoxys decided it was time to break the ice. ( ((If I had to pick between DNA and RNA, I would pick RNA, because there's U in it)) )
No.
No, not that kind of breaking the ice, durnit.
The Delibird's anger had somehow taken a turn for the comedic as she managed to miss a barely moving target, a few feet away. If the Deoxys had a lower lip he would be biting it to keep himself from laughing. If he could laugh. All what he managed was a look of apologetic amusement before blasting himself free with a Charge Beam, seeing as he still had plenty of energy to spare.
By some crazy bad luck, the charge beam actually hit the Delibird. He hadn't even aimed that one. The Deoxys's shoulders slumped in resignation to his fate of engaging in some scuffle with a harmless wild poké- nevermind, it's definitely harmful.

If it wasn't one thing, it was another! Bell was blasted back again by Soar's attack. She hated rock attacks. She also hated electric attacks! They made her feathers stand up and look just awful! This was insult after injury! But electricity also hurt! So it was insult to injury, plus another injury, which was even worse!
She screeched another Signal Beam at Soar.

Soar retaliated with his own charge beam, allowing it to meet the opponent's attack midair, because why the heck not at this point. Also it looks cool. Of course, this was a terrible idea and the resulting explosion threw both the pokémon back on their rears.

"You're crazy!" Bell squawked, flapping her wings to regain her balance after the explosion. It could have been a lot worse, though. Clearly not even ranged attacks were safe around the crazy, weird-looking, honking pokemon. It was time to get physical!
Bell zoomed forward, concentrating hard, and aimed a focus punch at the alien.
