Beside you is a small paper, detailing a request from the Yatagarasu and repeating a request from a Dark Summoner, one of the Summoners not affiliated with the Yatagarasu who are nevertheless generally allowed to do as they wish as long as they don't cause too much trouble. It seems that you have been given the option of participating in taking down this foe, and should you choose to get involved, instructions on where to go have been included. They seem to lead to a small, run-down shrine some ways outside of Inaba, even further away than the other supposedly-abandoned shrine in the area...Quote: ASSIGNMENT - FOR YOUR EYES ONLY FROM: Rasputin (Dark Summoners, Russia) PAYMENT: Gems DESCRIPTION: The Dark Summoners have been trying for some time now to capture a rogue demon, a patriarch of an ancient sect of Slavic Barbarians who worshiped him. The demon's name is Belobog, once thought to be a false god described in the allegedly forged Book of Veles. A white deity, it is nonetheless quite hostile, having stolen a number of sacred texts from the Dark Summoners when our strongest members were out on missions in order to increase its power and reestablish the cult which once worshiped and provided it with power! After successfully stealing the texts, Belobog then fled to Japan to elude capture and presumably begin establishing its new following. While we would love to come and complete the capture ourselves, we are overwhelmed with requests as it is. That is why we would like you, and any allies who encounter Belobog, to help us capture or defeat this most dangerous foe and return our stolen texts! We would prefer if there was at least one Kuzunoha on the job, since this is an incredibly dangerous foe, but a collection of Apprentices with backing from known allies is the minimum...and even then, likely won't be enough. Take this request seriously, please! And beware fighting in the sun! Belobog is a deity of light with power over the sunlight itself!

::Kotetsu Kaburagi::
 ~The Tiger of the West~
Oh abandoned shrines abandoned shrines, how we crows love abandoned shrines. Kotetsu was busy musing to himself as he walked down the path towards the shrines. He had received the summons and immediately set out for the meeting place. The past weeks had been... strange for Kotetsu. He had fought against the four great oni, played his part in the destruction of Ongyo-kii-- one of the more dangerous foes Kotetsu had ever fought-- and come face to face with Asura and lived. All in all a lively mission for the tiger of the west. Not only that but he had fought alongside the current Raidou, not something many summoners back in the village could boast, and while he didn't agree on some of her actions it was still an honor. Absent-mindedly Kotetsu thumbed the cap of his newest summoning tube which held a mighty guardian. Atavaka... Kotetsu was just beginning to connect to his newest summon. Their bond was very new but their admiration of each other's strengths was creating a strong friendship between summoner and demon. That was how the tiger of the west tended to treat his summons after all, as partners rather than tools or weapons. Removing his hand from his belt Kotetsu walked out into the clearing around the small shrine and sat down on the cold stone steps. "Guess I am the first one here."

KisaAn engine rumbled, and down the path, faster than any bike normally would have gone, appeared something that spewed blue flames and sported a skull motif. Fire in the forest? Maybe not the best idea... but at least she'd driven in the middle of the road. Some ways back from the shrine, though, the bike began to slow, and it swept to the side and came to a halt just in front of the gathering spot. "...You're it?" the rider asked without preamble, looking at Kotetsu. Well, he wasn't the only person there; Aselia Bluespirit was sitting up on the roof. But she, Kisa had been notified, was just acting as guide today, out of consideration for other things going on in her personal life. This was just a bit worrying, though. The Yatagarasu had sent out messages to a relatively high number of individuals, but the only one who'd bothered to show up was one who probably would have been in serious trouble if he hadn't. The request had specifically asked for quite a number of talented individuals, and Summoners were generally far too professional to make mistakes about the level of force needed to accomplish something. Probably had something to do with the amount of formal training they got; a Summoner who misjudged an issue was probably going to get killed. Personally, she really hadn't wanted to come here; she had enough troubles with gods in her life without going and seeking them out. More so, the Yatagarasu didn't seem like it really wanted to rely on her for anything; she wasn't part of their organization, didn't exactly share their goals, and she knew they were mostly just watching her because it was less disruptive than taking her out. For now, at any rate. On the other hand, the Crows weren't too proud to ask for help when they thought it really was necessary, so she'd consented to appear as backup just in case they needed some added muscle to take down this deity. Which, unless a lot more people showed up soon, was definitely going to be the case. She sighed. Even now, she was only here because Raidou had asked it of her, and she owed the Great Summoner quite a bit for all the training she'd been getting lately. The Kuzunoha was too busy on an assignment elsewhere to take care of this herself. But, all things considered, it really would be best if the Yatagarasu's agents and allies could take care of this themselves, without asking her to step in. Somebody needed to stop this deity, she supposed, but she was content enough to leave it alone as long as it didn't bother her. No need to seek out extra trouble... She'd help if she had to, but only if they couldn't get the required numbers soon.

Jo(shu) Michieru, Strange SeniorAn alarming Noise would be heard from the two, as a car-shaped figure seemed to speed along the shrine. Before it could crash into anyone though, it swerved, taking a U turn as a brown haired figure came flying out the side of the car, one of the doors having opened before the car sped off into the distance. "Owww...." Jo(shu) called, rubbing his head and shoulders, before looking up at the two that were with him. "Umm....Hi." Not the most graceful entrance, but at least he recognized one of them. Kotetsu, who was still with that multi-armed Deity of his. That was...good? Little did the boy know, a few people were starting along with him as well, the car not being the stealthiest, nor quietest form of travel.Quote: Jo(shu) has arrived! Apparently more to come?

::Kotetsu Kaburagi:: & ♛♚Daigo Umehara♚♛ & Shimazu Kenshi
The non-sensibly eldest devil summoner watched with a passive glean to his eye as the strangely tattooed girl drove up on what seemed to be a demonic motorcycle. She must have received an invitation to this little soiree as well, as not many people rode out to middle of nowhere shrines like this one without an invitation. Kotetsu's eyebrow simply arched as the strange looking girl made her off-hand remark. "Seems like it's just the two of us for now. I'm sure the others will be along shortly." Kotetsu said with his usual warm tone to his words. The girl on the roof seemed in no mood to talk when he arrived so he thought it better to just pretend he hadn't seen her and wait for the rest of the team. Obviously it wouldn't be the two of them. The crows were an ancient group with expansive knowledge of their allies and their enemies and more likely than not if more people didn't arrive he would just send in a report that they would need more than two people to kill a mighty deity like Belobog. Kotetsu had been doing his homework and it seemed like this was going to be an interesting mission. He was just beginning to gain a little respect in the organization and this was the kind of case that would make or break his career, so it would definitely look better if he didn't have to call off the fighting because only he and the appointed chaperones had showed up.
Just as Kotetsu's thoughts had begun to stray a little too far from the mission at hand something entirely new appeared to draw him back into the world. It was... a demon car? How interesting. Kotetsu stood up to receive their newest arrival who had tamed the demon car. He hadn't expected who had popped out however because rather than a great summoner or a master demon slayer the one who was thrown from the car was Jo(shu), one of Kotetsu's few friends in the inaba area. "Jo(shu)!" He called loudly his voice no less welcoming than it was for Kisa. "Glad to see you're doing well. You been well since the volcano?" Kotetsu grinned and adjusted his newsboy cap to see who had accompanied the young man by means of demon car. "Who'd ya bring with you? These your friends?" He asked with a friendly smile.
While the others were arrive by loud and most unconventional means Daigo strolled up. As always a lit cigarette hung lazily from his lips while he moved formless as the smoke that seemed to flow eternally from his lips. The black haired hero had reverted to his quieter state since leaving the hospital for his mission. He didn't quite know how, or even why, he had ended up on the Yatagarasu mailing list but that hadn't stopped him from showing up. The opportunity to slay an angered god? The black haired ex-cultist may not have known exactly what it was to live up to the spirit of Mushashi but taking on a deity had to lie somewhere within that description. Daigo carried with him the weapon that he had become inseparable from since leaving the hilltop: Monohashi Zao, the legendary spear of Sasaki Kojuro whom he, and others, had defeated atop the hill. Daigo did not, however, carry with him the symbol of his membership in the cult of Nyx, he had left his evoker in the hands of S.E.E.S. 2 until they deemed him worthy to have it back and he understood that. He would take on this challenge with Monohashi Zao as his weapon and the spirit of Mushashi as his shield.
'What is a Beeeee-loooooo-boooooog anyway?' Kenshi thought to himself as he walked into the growing group of people around the shrine. Kenshi had returned home from the store to meet a messenger waiting for him at the door. This messenger gave the green flash the letter from the Yatagarasu and went on his business delivering letters or whatever it is low level summoners do. Kenshi hadn't paid much attention to the letter's contents, something about Belobogs and russians... it was all very strange to the most innocent member of the Shimazu clan. 'It must be some kind of beetle or something!' He hypothesized as he finished his strawberry milk and tossed it in the trash. 'It's probably a reeeeeeally big beetle for them to need this many people. Kenshi smiled childishly at the conclusion he came to. Big beetles... must have been. "Everyone lets squish some giant beetles together okaaaaay?" Kenshi grinned and waved around the growing circle of people as he wished them good luck on the mission that was much more perilous than he had understood. It was unlikely that Kenshi would die however; whether it was giant bugs or deities Kenshi was a member of the prestigious Shimazu clan who were known as expert demon slayers. His name wasn't the green flash just for show after all and the youngest brother of the clan was well known by swordsmen around the country for his unparalleled lightning draw sword style. All this was way over the young man's head however as he had little need for titles or anything like that, he just wanted his strawberry milk and to help his brother find a wife.

Kanade Tachibana, Agent of the YatagarasuArriving much more quietly, appearing from the side even, was a silver haired girl. She kept the same neutral expression as always while she stood, and merely glanced at the others that were around her. She didn't feel like trying to talk to them, and she had a bit of worry. However, being this was a Yatagarasu mission, she could tell that these people wouldn't care about her powers. Thus, though she was a bit quiet, she felt safer amoungst them, even if....Some of the people here were quite strange to her. The brown haired one, the one dressed formally with a welcoming tone to him, the green haired one, the black haired one, and the tattoo-ed girl. It was...a peculiar bunch, to say the least.Quote: Tachibana has reported to help out

Jo(shu) Michieru, Strange SeniorJo(shu) looked up as he heard the voice, grinning as he dusted himself off. "Yeah, I'm doing great." he called with a grin. "Picked up a new demon. Got Victor to help me out a bit. What do mean Fri........Oh....Ohh....Ohhhhh." An Exasperated look appeared on his face as he turned to look behind him, seeing someone who...quite clearly didn't belong there. Mao, The Shining Hero of Justice!"You really need to be more attentive if you're to be my Rival, you know." the White haired Hero called, looking quite Triumphant."How the Hell did you even-""It Matters Not, For I Have Graciously decided to help you along today, for seeing you flounder about at the hilltop showed me that........" Mao started, before suddenly adjusting his glasses. "Where are you?" A question, seemingly directed at no one, as the hero turned, holding up a hand. "I Shall return shortly, for I seem to have....misplaced something." Mao called in a sinister voice, walking to the side of the shrine. A few minutes, and one chilling scream later, the white haired Hero returned, with a gentle looking blue haired figure. "H...Hello. Almaz called, waving lightly at all of the strange people. Ohhh, why did Mao have to get involved in something like this.....again?

 Koyomi Izuya Perfectly Elegant Ex-Nanjou Warrior Koyomi seemed to step out of the shadows, looking at the crowd that had a formed around in the abandoned shrine. She hadn't done much around town since the samurai attacked the high school, but even then she hadn't really done much when that happened. All she had done then was encounter Hei for a meager few seconds before he managed to vanish again. Since then she had worked the last week trying to change how she acted, finally starting to act upon her own goals and wants instead of continually chasing after someone who clearly did not want to be found, if Hei wanted to hide away after what had happen a while back so be it. Now was the time for her to forge her own path for the first time in a while, she even had got rid of most of her hold maid outfit for something she liked a lot more, even if she had kept the headband for no real reason besides personal preference. "Seems you may need some assistance, or at least an extra person to help." she spoke up a soft smile spreading across her face as she did so. She was always will to help whomever she found that seemed to be in need of help, be it big or small . After all she once made a hobby out of making sure that people safely subdued their Comp Station demons, now she was stepping up to helping with things that seemed a bit bigger, so long as she thought the people involved looked trustworthy.

KisaA circle of flames rose from the ground as Kisa spun her bike around. Good; she'd just been a little bit early, it seemed, and others had arrived after all. Not quite as powerful as the client may have liked in some cases, but there were a good number of them, and it wasn't like they were utter rookies at this. The fire remained for just a moment before her bike roared back down the path, leaving a momentary trail of blue fire behind it as she left the broken-down shrine and headed for somewhat more populated areas. Let them do as they wished; this would undoubtedly be quite a challenge for them, but they ought to be able to handle it somehow. Aselia Bluespirit
"Nn!" Aselia hopped down from the top of the shrine and embraced Kanade tightly, smiling all the while. It was, in the quiet girl's usual way, a very clear statement of what she thought about the other person. Aselia raised one hand a moment later and pointed towards a location not too far away, where the sunlight seemed to be even brighter somehow. "Nn." she said, more seriously this time. That seemed to be the direction in which the combatants would need to go in order to find Belobog; Aselia herself, in her capacity as observer and messenger, wasn't going to be joining them in battle. Well, they each had a role to play, yeah?Quote: The combatants have been directed to proceed!

Kanade Tachibana, Agent of the Yatagarasu, And Jo(shu) Michieru, Strange SummonerAnd just as he had gotten used to the idea of having been followed by......that boy, he seemed to flinch again at hearing another familiar voice. "Ahh! Izuya-san!" he called, again not being used to being surprised. On top of that, she was wearing something...much less obvious, and....Hmm...Wow.....different, but in a good way. "Extra help is always welcome." he called, grinning lightly at this. Well, with her on his side, he felt a great deal of relieved....though, now she would know for a fact he was much different than when they'd first met. Still, everything should be fine with all of the....Okay where did the tattooed one go?The girl seemed to visibly shiver at the close contact, even if it was from someone she knew. Aselia should know that not quite everyone was as warm to her gestuers as she might have hoped, especially the one whom had stolen the heart of the person she loved. Yet, she couldn't start a ruckus here. She had to.."Ginko! Long time no see!" Jo(shu) called, grabbing the silver haired girl's arm lightly, away from Aselia quickly, and casually. He'd noticed how uncomfortable she looked from the hug, and figured she'd appreciate the help. "It's a small world after all, yeah? Didn't think I'd find you again around here."Kanade blinked at this, her arm-blades shooting out for a moment at the surprise interaction, before feeling herself being tugged away from Aselia. The way the strange one talked, and how he so blatantly interrupted, he was.....obviously lying through his teeth. In most other situations, she'd probably be introducing him to the pointy end of her arm, but at the moment? She was relieved to get away from Aselia, if only for a minute. "O...Oh....Brown-san..." she called, as if trying to move along. "Yeah....I haven't seen you since......""Middle School! Remember? I was the kid in the corner who was always doodling away, and never listened to the teacher?""A-And I was always o-over in the other corner, reading.." she replied, the two putting on the best of friends act.It was an easily fabricated lie, as the two didn't even know each other's names. Koyomi would likely remember that Jo(shu) himself spoke of how he wasn't even from around here normally, and Aselia might find it a bit suspicious about Kanade having friends she hadn't talked about. But, still....

 Mao, The Shining Hero of Justice! and Almaz Demon SlaveMao seeemed to be feeling quite confident in himself, having all of his necessary components on him at the moment. Prinny Bomb? Check. COMP station? Check. Demon Slave? Check. Hero Title? Check. Darkwing Mao Cape? Check. It all Checked out. As he looked forward to the two walking ahead, he started forward, energetically. "I'm the one taking the lead role here!" Mao called, storming forward past the lying couple. HE was going to be the hero here, and everyone could could be sidekick 2-8!Almaz sighed a bit at Mao's.....enthusiasm, turning to everyone as he bowed deeply. "I'm sorry about him." he called, at his bow to Kotetsu. "Really I am." Koyomi. "He's just A little." Daigo. "Umm....Energetic?" Kenshi. He would have bowed to Jo(shu), and Kanade, but they were so far ahead, they likely couldn't hear him. "L-Let's do our best everyone. I'll do what I can to try to protect a-all of you." Almaz tried to put on an easy smile, to try to tell the humans whatever was in there, it'd be fine. Of course, Almaz had no idea just who or what everyone was, only that they were going towards something so risky. He didn't want anyone to get hurt, so he'd lay his life on the line........ Though he hoped it wouldn't come to that.

::Kotetsu Kaburagi:: & ♛♚Daigo Umehara♚♛ & Shimazu Kenshi
Such an odd group. Kotetsu only grinned as the white haired.... Hero-- as thats what it seemed that Mao fancied himself-- began down the path to their battle. They were rag tag for sure, and their lack of a named Kuzunoha such as Kai or Raidou was... troubling, it could not be helped. The crows had their plans and if it had been decided that this group would be enough then they would make due. Behind the smile though a small light of insecurity was brewing; there were very few members of the actual Yatagarasu in attendance here. The hazy look in Kotetsu's eyes was quickly drawn away when the blue haired guy bowed and apologized for his... friend?'s behavior. The tiger of the west lowered his head and bowed to the young man a smile still on his face. "Don't worry about it, lets just make sure he doesn't get too carried away alright?" With that Kotetsu raised his head and began to follow them down the path. As he walked he spun a single silver tube between his fingers readying his multi armed guardian for combat against their greatest foe yet.
"Just keep him in line." Daigo turned from the blue haired demon slave and quickly fell into step with Mao at the front of the group his spear readied in his hand. The black haired ex-cultist eyed Mao from the corner of his eye. So similar, and all the same so different. He lacked the true heroic fire... there was something more sinister about him. Something more evil. Daigo couldn't pin it though and he didn't have so much time to try and get it down. "You rush off like that and you're bound to get killed." Daigo kept his eyes ahead as he walked but every so often he would sneak a glance at Mao. Just like Dan, ready to rush off right to his own death.
"You're friend is silly! If he fights a big beetle alone I think he is gonna be the squished one." Kenshi waved at Almaz cheerfully and then started down the path quickly, a youthful happiness in his step. Following quickly with the hilt of his sword rested calmly against his palm Kenshi caught up with Mao and Daigo. Unlike Daigo however Kenshi's face was awash in a bright and warming smile. "Hey mister leader... is it okay if I help you? I like killing big scary demons, so I think I can handle a beetle." Kenshi drew his sword super dooper fast like and laid a perfectly shaped K inlaid on a tree infront of Mao. Before Mao or Daigo could look however Kenshi's blade was already re-shealthed. "See just like that guy Zoro from those movies... You know my big brother's name is is Zoro actually... I wonder if they're the same person..." Kenshi grinned and began making sword swooshing noises as he pretended to be the masked hero who shared a name with his brother. Oblivious to the fact that he would in fact be fighting a god today.

Belobog, God of LightThe world, by now, was almost unnaturally bright. Well, being serious, it really was unnatural. Deep inside of the forest, a number of people had prostrated themselves on the ground, worshipping a sphere of light that was hovering above the ground. Slowly and steadily, a chant rose from the lips of the believers, those who had come to obey a deity that promised to bathe them in its light. When it seemed like all of Japan was falling to the darkness, perhaps it was inevitable that there would be those who sought refuse under the sun. The very moment that the invaders came across the perimeter, though, the sphere of light rippled, and with a sudden roar a burst of light shot out towards one of the intruders. It seemed that this deity had not yet decided the intruders were worthy of hearing its voice... and that if they chose to proceed, it intended to swat them like the bugs they were. Kanade Tachibana, Agent of the Yatagarasu, And Jo(shu) Michieru, Strange SummonerSoon as they were out of earshot, and sight, Jo(shu) moved away from Kanade, fingering his tube slightly. "Sorry. Figured you could use a little rescue." he called, apologizing to the silver haired girl.Kanade herself didn't seem as ready to part, though she wasn't exactly displeased either. Hearing the boy apolgize, and say he figured he'd rescue her, she averted her gaze. "N...No problem." Kanade called, before the area around them got...unnaturally bright. The two looked forward, as a sphere of light went out, striking at one of the others."H-hey, are you alright? he called to the green haired boy, hoping he was alright from that strike. As he did, he did an overly complex gesture, putting the tube away, and calling on the power of the ribbon."MAGICALLLLL" Lyna's voice called out, as Jo(shu) patted her head, and started forward. Kanade flinched, but walked as well, raising her arms, and calling on her.... ..... Since when were her arm-blades out? She had forgot that she even called them forward, she was so distracted. But, Either way, it would be a good idea to be prepared, in case they had to fight right away."Stay behind me, Gin-ko." he called to the girl, not knowing her name, but wanting to keep the protective vibes as Lyna walked in front of him. It was......unnerving, it being so bright. It made him wonder.."Tachibana......Kanade." she muttered, causing him to turn."Hm?" Jo(shu) called, turning back at the girl, who looked away nervously."My name is Kanade Tachibana." she called, quickly. "Not....Ginko."Jo(shu) paused, but grinned, hearing her name. Well, he had made Ginko up, and it wasn't very creative, or convincing. "Tachi-bana." he called to himself as he walked, growing more and more uneasy. "I'm Michieru. Jo(shu), Michieru. In case she asks." It would be bad if the blue haired one asked for his name from her, and she couldn't tell. Definitely look suspicious, indeed.....(shu)." she called to herself, quietly.Quote: Jo(shu): Summon Lyna the Light Charmer.

::Kotetsu Kaburagi::
Kotetsu's nerves had been ready to snap the entire time they were walking down the directed path. In fact he likely would have said it was 'quiet...too quiet.' But the spiffily dressed summoner had decided against it. The roar of magic and the near-blinding flash of light had set the summoner off and in less than the blink of an eye. He quickly shoved the tube containing Atavaka down into his belt and drew out another one. The attack's element had been light and by the looks it was pretty nasty. Uncapping the tube Kotetsu called forth the power of Raphael, the red winged angel. Raising his weapon before himself he prepared for his summoner's commands. "Heal him." Kotetsu pointed across at the young green haired boy who had just taking the force of Belobog's thunderclap head on. Nodding the angel raised his blade high above her head and sent a bright green light across to the young man. The healing spell wrapped itself around Kenshi's body and healed all wounds preparing him to continue combat. Reaching back to his waist Kotetsu drew his blade. Crossing it infront of himself Kotetsu prepared for the next attack. Quote: Kotetsu - Block Raphael - Diarahan [Kenshi]
