Greetings, one and all.
I haven't really been active here, as sadly I haven't really found a roleplay that I feel that I could do well in. And, I haven't attempted starting one of my own in eons so...I figured, why not pitch some, see if they get off the ground?

The first idea is pretty straightforward: a superhero roleplay.
I'm obsessed with superheroes, so that would be most welcomed for me.
I have an idea for a plot, but I'd like to see what people would be interested in first.

The second idea has a similar feel to Fate/Stay Night for you anime fans. However, instead of bringing mythological figures into modern times to fight, it'll only be mythological weapons that'll be making appearances.
Chosen by a mysterious being called the Weapon Master, a random group of individuals are given weapons of myth and legend to fight one another for dominance. Of course, things won't be as simple as that.
This one would require some time to work, as one would have to pick a mythological weapon/item (or create an idea for one; one of my characters will basically wield the lightning bolts of Zeus, contained in handy trinket form) and work with me on how their abilities would be presented. The superhero one, on the other hand, would be more straightforward, and would get off the ground more quickly.

So, what do you think, friends?
Either one sound interesting?

I'm always up for a good super hero game. Gods know I have way too many silly super hero ideas, like the electric hero 'The Surge Protector'.

As for the second idea, it sounds interesting but I know of yhe greatest issue that will crop up: player vs player. Unless you come up with a system for battles, things can get rough.

I'm in for a good old-fashioned (if lighthearted) superhero romp.

I'm with 'Zaki, the idea sounds fun, but somewhere down the road there's bound to be a PvP dispute.

Don't worry, I've handled PvP battles well enough in the past.
Usually, I can trust the players to handle themselves and deiced between participants in a given battle who will win or who'll lose, based on character personalities, strength/weaknesses, any extraneous circumstances in the game. Sometimes as well, if it serves the plot I have, I'll ask players if they're willing to take a fall.

Otherwise, I leave it up a roll of a the not often used dice mechanic.
And in generally, any roleplay I do with a tournament setup never really focuses to heavily on the actual tournament part. There'll be other stuff for the characters to worry about.
wink

As for the superhero roleplay, I'm all for silliness and lightheartedness, but I like to strike a balance between comedy and drama when it comes to my superhero. 'The Surge Protector' won't be immune from being shorted out by, say, an explosion.

I like them both!

The mythological weapon one sounds good biggrin and you could always have a few players create 'punisher' characters for those who cheat or whatever xD I'd rather do that than duke it out and lose epically..

Heh, Inky, you and me are on the same wavelength.
I had an idea for that, a character that comes in and pretty much messes things up for everyone else if things don't get settled.

However, I'm kind of leaning towards the superhero premise myself.
But we'll just wait a little while longer and see what a couple more people have to say.

Yes, Brad, I did find out. I know everything.
By the way, I know what you're doing right now.
Stop that. It's nasty.
xD

By all means, though, feel free to geek out.
I think it's safe to say superheroes are go.
Now, I have to think of a decent plot...

Alykia, you should always wanna play video games.
Also, in case any of you are interested in this, I think that I'll work on everything, and have it up after my finals.
Possibly earlier, if I find the time.

>_< Please don't tempt me. I love superheroes. I have a couple of them that I use on occasion: a sound-based heroine called Decibel, a villain who can drain life-force called Wither, and a couple of others.

Really, I'd love for you to join up!
I'd love to see this roleplay flourish.
Most of mine really don't ever get up off the ground.

Another little update, for anyone that cares;
Figured out my finals schedule, I'll be free Monday the 12th.
So, I'll be at least begin writing things up then. Applications will be accepted during that whole week, and then we'll start the following Monday.
Unless I get a large enough cast (thinking about ten total, not including my character) and we can start things off before then.
