You've all heard of "Hurt and Heal" games, otherwise known as "Popularity Contests", right? No? Well here's the basics of how one usually runs.
There is a set of characters with an equal amount of points to begin with. People who want to play post a vote once a day, adding one point to one character (usually your favorite) and subtracting from another (usually your least favorite). And you can only vote once a day. Any additional ones made after the first within a day are simply ignored.
But this one will have an added twist. We will use DICE ROLLS upon posting to additionally trigger one of four special effects: SPECIAL ATTACK, HEAL, LOTTERY GEL, and MYSTIC ARTE. Once you get to see the results of your roll, the changes are edited into your post.
LIST OF CHARACTERS
We are going to start with the main characters between the two games. Once we've whittled things down to the winner, which is the last character standing, we will start a new thread with a set of characters under a different classification.
Everyone starts with 20 HP.

HOW TO ROLL DICE:
Under the POST WINDOW, you also have POST STYLE and POST ACTION. Select POST ACTION, and ROLL DICE.
We will be rolling 4 sided-dice, and the number of dice to roll is 4. So the results will vary from 1111 to 4444.
If you get to trigger something, you add your changes by editing it into your post for the day. DO NOT make a new post about it.
If the numbers DO NOT match ANY of the following circumstances, then that's it. You do not get to do anything special with your vote for the day.
HOW TO TRIGGER A SPECIAL ATTACK You must have the FIRST 2 NUMBERS OF YOUR ROLL IDENTICAL.
11xx and 22xx - The character whose HP was deducted in the post BEFORE YOURS' attack gets triggered. 33xx - The character whose HP was added in the post BEFORE YOURS' attack gets triggered. 44xx - The character of YOUR CHOICE's attack gets triggered.
HOW TO TRIGGER A HEAL You must have the LAST 2 NUMBERS OF YOUR ROLL IDENTICAL.
xx11 and xx-22 - The character whose HP was deducted in the post BEFORE YOURS' gets to use their healing tech. xx33 - The character whose current HP is LOWEST gets to heal. If there's a tie, roller chooses. xx44 - The character of YOUR CHOICE's healing tech gets triggered.
HOW TO TRIGGER A LOTTERY GEL EFFECT You must have the MIDDLE 2 NUMBERS OF YOUR ROLL IDENTICAL.
x11x - The character whose HP was deducted in the post BEFORE YOURS' receives the effect. x22x - The character whose current HP is the HIGHEST receives the effect. If there's a tie, the roller chooses. x33x - The character whose current HP is LOWEST receives the effect. If there's a tie, the roller chooses. x44x- The character of YOUR CHOICE receives the effect.
HOW TO TRIGGER A MYSTIC ARTE YOU MUST ROLL 4 IDENTICAL NUMBERS, such as 1111, 2222,3333 or 4444. Of course, under this case, you only get to use the Mystic Arte, and not the normal attack, heal, or Lottery Gel.
1111-The character with the LOWEST HP's ability will be triggered. 2222-The character whose HP got increased by the POSTER ABOVE YOU's ability will be triggered. 3333-The character whose HP got DEDUCTED by the POSTER ABOVE YOU's ability will be triggered. 4444-The character with the HIGHEST HP's ability will be triggered.
NOTES:
IF BOTH THE FIRST 2 NUMBERS AND THE LAST 2 NUMBERS ARE IN PAIRS (for example: 1122, 3344, etc.) THEN YOU GET TO TRIGGER BOTH A SPECIAL ATTACK AND A HEAL! 8D
IF THERE ARE 2 OR MORE CHARACTERS WHOSE HP IS THE SAME AT THE MOMENT AND IS ALSO THE HIGHEST/LOWEST, ROLLER GETS TO CHOOSE.

Lloyd - Apple Gel: +3HP to self.
Colette - Lemon Gel: +6HP to self.
Genis - Cook Pork Cutlets: +5HP to self and 3 characters of the user's choice.
Raine - Revitalize: +5HP to self, +5HP to Genis, +5 to 3 more characters of user's choice. All 5 characters also get +1HP for the next 3 days. Characters are tagged with [REV (# of days)] next to their names until the effect is over.
Kratos - Healing Stream: +5HP to self, +5HP to Lloyd, +3 to 3 more characters of roller's choice. All 5 characters also get +1HP for the next 3 days. Characters are tagged with [HS (# of days)] next to their names until the effect is over.
Sheena - Life Seal: +3HP to self, -3HP from character of user's choice
Zelos - Healing Wind: +5HP to self, + 3HP to Colette, Raine, Sheena, Presea, and Marta. All 6 characters also get +1HP for the next 3 days. Characters are tagged with [HW (# of days)] next to their names until the effect is over.
Presea - Melange Gel: +4HP to self.
Regal - Chi Healer: +5HP to self OR Presea.
Emil - Miracle Gel: + 6HP to self.
Marta - Cure: +6HP to self OR Emil.

LIST OF LOTTERY GEL EFFECTS
Use the Random Number action in this thread to determine the effect, putting 1 as the lowest and 15 as the highest.
1 = Poison: The character gets -1HP for the next 5 days. As a reminder of this effect, they are tagged with [PSN (# of days)] next to their names until the effect is over.
2 = Defense +: The character is immune to point deduction for the next 3 days. As a reminder of this effect, they are tagged with [DEF+ (# of days)] next to their names until the effect is over. This does not affect damage dealt by Special Attacks and Mystic Artes, however.
3 = Paralysis: The character is immune to point addition and cannot trigger their own Special Attacks, Heals, and Mystic Artes for the next 3 days. However, they are still susceptible to deductions, Special Attacks, other characters' Heals, and Mystic Artes. As a reminder of this effect, they are tagged with [PAR (# of days)] next to their names until the effect is over.
4 = Attack +: Should any player decide to add to the character who receives this effect, they also get to deduct 2HP from the character they decide. The effect last for 3 days, and the character is tagged with [ATK+ (# of days)] next to their names until the effect is over.
5 = Blind: Should any player add to the character who receives this effect, they cannot make any deductions from the other characters. This effect last for 5 days, and the character is tagged with [ACC- (# of days)] next to their names until the effect is over. Special Attacks, Heals, and Mystic Artes are not affected by this, however.
6 = Minor HP regen: Character is healed +1HP on the day this effect is triggered and for the next 4 days. Character is tagged [Regen1 (# of days)] next to their names until the effect is over.
7 = Good Luck: Character can receive any one of the beneficial effects on the list, player's choice.
8 = Moderate HP regen: Character is healed +3HP on the day this effect is triggered and for the next 3 days. Character is tagged [Regen2 (# of days)] next to their names until the effect is over.
9 = Attack -: Within the next 3 days, If character is added to, the player cannot deduct from anyone else's HP. Character is tagged [ATK- (# of days)] next to their names until the effect is over.
10 = Major HP regen: Character is healed +4HP on the day this effect is triggered and for the next 2 days. Character is tagged [Regen3 (# of days)] next to their names until the effect is over.
11 = Defense -: If the character is deducted from, they get -2HP instead of -1HP for the next 3 days. Character is tagged [DEF- (# of days)] next to their names until the effect is over.
12 = Time Stop: Character's points cannot be altered for the next 3 days. This means they cannot receive additions and heals, but they are also unaffected by deductions, others' Special Attacks, and others' Mystic Artes. They also cannot have their own Special Attacks, Heals, and Mystic Artes triggered or receive Lottery Gels either. And if they had any other effects before they get inflicted with Time Stop, their countdown days will be frozen (indicated by light gray coloring) until the Time Stop effect is over.
Since this is neither a positive nor a negative effect, it does not count as a choice for effects 7 and 13. Character is tagged [Time Stop (# of days)] next to their names until the effect is over.
13 = Bad Luck: Character receives one of the negative effects on the list; player must roll a 6-sided dice in this thread to determine which one.
1 = Poison 2 = Paralysis 3 = Blind 4 = Attack - 5 = Defense - 6 = Silence
14 = Silence: Character cannot use a Special Attack, Heal, or Mystic Arte should a roll be favorable within the next 5 days. The character is tagged [SLN (# of days)] next to their names until the effect is over.
15 = Revive: The character gets to revive somebody who has been eliminated! They are revived back to a full 20HP. This effect can only be used the day it is received. If none of their choices have been eliminated yet, then the revive can go to a character of the player's choice. If nobody's been eliminated at all, then nothing happens and the revive effect cannot be saved for another day.

LIST OF MYSTIC ARTES
Lloyd - Falcon's Crest: -15HP to ONE character of user's choice, and up to 3 characters get -3HP. For the day this is triggered and 3 days after, should anyone choose to add to Lloyd, the character they choose to subtract from gets -2HP instead of -1HP. Lloyd is tagged [ATK + (#of days)] next to his name until the effect is over.
Colette - Holy Judgment: -5HP to 5 characters of user's choice. For the day this is triggered and the next 3 days after, Colette is immune to point deduction. And should anyone choose to add to Colette the character they choose to subtract to gets -2HP instead of -1HP. Colette is tagged [HJ (#of days)] next to her name until the effect is over.
Genis - Indignation Judgment: -15HP to ONE character of user's choice, -5HP to ALL other characters excluding the victim. User also picks 3 characters whose points cannot be added to for the next 3 days, and they additionally get -1HP each day. Characters are tagged [IJ (#of days)] next to their names until the effect is over.
Raine - Sacred Shine: -5HP to ALL other characters. User also picks 3 characters who, if anyone adds +1HP to them within the next 5 days, the poster CANNOT subtract from ANY of the other characters. Characters are tagged [ACC- (#of days)] next to their name until the effect is over.
Kratos - Shining Bind: -15HP to ONE character of user's choice, -3HP to ALL other characters excluding the victim. For the next 3 days, should anyone add to any character other than Kratos, they cannot subtract from anyone else. All characters other than Kratos also cannot have their Special Attacks, Heals, and Mystic Artes triggered, should a roll turn out favorable. They can still receive Lottery Gel effects, however.
(Shining Bind is supposed to imply immobilization; it's an idea I picked up from the Tales of Fandom skits.)
Sheena - Summon Spirit: User must use the Random Number action in this thread, inputting 1 as the lowest and 10 as the highest. The result will determine which Spirit is triggered.
1 = Efreet: Deals -10HP to a character of the user's choice, and -3HP to 3 more characters. For the next 3 days [Excluding the day when Summon has been triggered], if you decide to heal Sheena, the character whose HP you will deduct will be -2 instead of -1. Sheena is tagged [ATK + (#of days)] next to her name until the effect is over.
2 = Undine: Deals -5HP to 4 characters of the roller's choice, and heals +5HP to Sheena. Also heal another character that is not one of the victims for +2HP.
3 = Sylph: Deals -3HP to 5 characters of the poster's choice, and for the next day, if you add points to Sheena, you may take -1HP away from 3 other characters.
4 = Luna and Aska: Deals -5HP to 2 characters of the user's choice and -3HP to everyone else.
5 = Celsius: Deals -5HP to 3 characters of user's choice. The same 3 characters are Frozen for the next 3 days to follow, with the addition of losing -1HP each day. They are also still susceptible to Special Attacks and Mystic Artes. Characters are tagged [FRZ (#of days)] next to their names name until the effect is over.
6 = Volt: Deals -10HP to ONE character of choice. User also gets to choose 3 characters (including the victim) whose HP cannot be added to for the next 3 days. They also cannot use their heals, should they be triggered. However, people can still subtract from them, and they can still be affected by Special Attacks, other characters' heals and Mystic Artes. Characters are tagged [PAR (#of days)] next to their names until the effect is over.
7 = Gnome: Deals -15HP to ONE other character of choice. For the next 3 days, Sheena is immune to point deduction with the tag of [DEF + (# of days)] next to her name until the effect is over.
8 = Shadow: Deals -10HP to ONE character of user's choice, and -3HP to 2 more characters. User chooses another 2 characters (EXCLUDING the victims) who will get -2HP per day for the following 3 days. Those characters are tagged [Black Hole (# of days)] next to their names until the effect is over.
9 = Origin: Reduces one character of user's choice to 5HP, while Sheena is reset to 20HP if her HP is lower than that. If higher, then the effect goes to the character with the LOWEST HP, EXCLUDING THE VICTIM.
10 = Maxwell: ALL other characters get -5HP. For the next day, they get -2HP.
Zelos - Divine Judgment: -15HP to ONE character of user's choice, -5HP to ALL other characters excluding the victim. Zelos is immune to point deduction for the next 3 days, and should he be added to by any player, the character the player chooses to deduct from gets -2HP instead of -1HP. Zelos is tagged [DJ+ (#of days)] next to his name until the effect is over.
Presea - Crimson Devastation: -15HP to ONE character of user's choice, -5HP to 2 other characters (excluding the previous victim) of user's choice, -3HP to the rest. Presea is immune to any more point deduction the day this is triggered and the day after.
Regal - Final Fury: Hungry Wolf ONE character of user's choice is reduced to 5HP. Victim cannot receive any more additions this day and Regal is immune to any more point deduction the day this is triggered and the day after.
Emil - Devil's Hellfire: -15HP to ONE character of roller's choice, -3HP to ALL other characters EXCEPT Marta, who avoids all damage for the day this is triggered, and the next.
Marta - Radiant Roar: -5HP to ALL other characters EXCEPT Emil, who is healed +10HP instead for that day, and +5HP for the next.
