Short Biography: Having grown bored of the secluded life in Heimdall, Anya developed a curiosity for the outside world and decided to leave the village of the elves six years ago. She traveled the world without aim, discovering for herself where everything was. She used her primary skill of hunting to help her get by as well as earn herself some income. After having located every city, that became her living.
Two years prior to the start of our story, Anya was traveling through a forest (not the Gaoracchia) toward Sybak. It was evening and she was about to reach the edge facing the academic city when she was attacked by what she thought at the time was an ordinary wolf. She slayed it with the aid of her arrows and spells, but it managed to land a bite on her shoulder. The last thing she can recall from that night was that she tried to continue on her way only to find, minutes later, her body seized with an intense pain that made her black out.
The next morning, Anya finally made her way out of the forest and chanced upon a small team of scientists from Sybak who were investigating attacks in the area. They took her in for questioning and examination, soon drawing the conclusion that she had become a werewolf. They briefed her on how to cope and taught her how to make a potion of diluted wolfsbane sap, which would help keep her human mind intact through transformation.
Since then, Anya had settled in Sybak. She volunteered to help intercept werewolf attacks in the area and round up victims to participate in testing for cures. The scientists don't allow her to participate in such testing as her guise has proven quite useful in her work. Now, at a point in time where they find themselves figuratively groping around in the dark, they have requested Anya to search the Gaoracchia Forest for anything that may point them in the right direction.
Other Information:- Anya's enhanced senses are still present in her normal form. What sight or hearing may fail to catch is at least compensated by scent. Sometimes, she may start sniffing at the air or sniffing something closely.
- She wears a collar bearing the insignia of the Sybak Laboratories, a measure that (hopefully) keeps her from being slain by people who may attack her out of fear.
- She will not vocally admit it, but by now she's not sure she even wants to be cured anymore. She genuinely still wants to help in the development of a cure for all those people who
do want to get rid of the condition, however.
- This probably goes without saying, but Anya cannot speak in her wolf form. If it's convenient at the time, she will trace out the words she's trying to say on someone's palm (like Colette was doing when she lost her voice).
- It can certainly be assumed Anya isn't the only werewolf volunteering for the Sybak Laboratories.
