I kind of assumed they were a couple since the end of Suikoden III said that stuff ... not so much of a fan of Hugo and Aila ... just because they're both Karayans, I don't think they would really mesh very well. Aila kinda ended up being more with Geddoe and all them so ... I dunno smile

I think Hugo x Lilly are closer to canon than Hugo x Aila.

Guess I'm one of the very few that actually support Luc/Sera as a pairing (and yes, I spell her name as Sera as I think it makes her sound different from Suikoden I's washerwoman Sarah). Not that surprising, though- I know quite a number of people who actually despise the pairing, or just plain out hate Sera as a character.
As for the Aila pairing, I'd probably say that Jacques goes best with her. But that's probably because the hints of Aila/Jacques actually glare at you in the face throughout the entire manga. biggrin

I think the whole Luc/Sarah thing is kind of one-sided... I do believe that Sarah has strong feelings for Luc, but I think Luc is just all like: "Gwar, I hatezZorz 3veryth1ngz..." And besides, if the whole thing was one-sided, that just makes the ending of S3 more tragic... 3nodding Soma Mahanon I think Hugo x Lilly are closer to canon than Hugo x Aila. Oh! I love Luc x Sarah! Even if Luc is much older than her. (Judging by the end picture of Luc's story in the game.) But I like Hugo x Aila! I don't follow it from the game, but from the manga instead. With, Hugo x Lilly, I'm afraid Lilly might kill Hugo. o_OBut she might have a soft, romantic side too. ^_^ You never know.

Well, I like the idea that Sarah loves Luc, but Luc could care less. It's very tragic. Alia and Jacques seems a more fitting couple and definately throws bricks at you as hints that it will happen. As for Hugo and Lily...I just don't see that happening. I think Hugo is too young to do anything like that, that and he was more preoccupied with other things. I'm just basing all of this on the game though.
