Ok...some issues with this episode:
1) They changed A LOT about Luna, they made her larger, changed her color pallet (which I really didn't like) and her mane (which I liked even less), they took her from soft spoken and passive as she was in Friendship is Magic part 2, to loud and aggressive, with Early Modern English speaking habits. I even thought they changed Luna's voice actor for a bit, but I guess they didn't.
2) It seems they may be ignoring the word of God over there now. Faust has said that Luna was overtaken by some outside, evil force, turning her into Nightmare Moon. Yet when Luna is referred to as Nightmare Moon, she does not bother to correct this mistake.
3) Pinkie and Rainbow annoyed the ******** out of me in this episode.
4) Everypony seems to have forgotten that, not that long ago, they welcomed Luna back with a massive party and parade, however now she is something to be feared apparently.
Really, what bothered me more than anything, was the changes to Luna's design and personality. If they don't fix it, they can kindly go ******** themselves.

Even if they welcomed her back with a parade, that doesn't mean they still couldn't fear her. I mean, she DID try to take over Equestria and bring eternal night. And I like the changes to Luna's design. The flowing mane was pretty cool, and it doesn't make sense for Celestia to have one if Luna wasn't going to get one eventually. I just took the design changes as her growing up. As for the voice thing... I just assumed she sincerely thought that being loud and aggressive was the proper royal voice.
The only thing that bothered me about the episode was the lack of Rarity. I really wanted to see what costume she would wear. cat_crying But I was happy that they included Zecora. Zecora kicks a**! cat_ninja

I can unda'stand th' deign issue, but how can ye have a problem wit' th' personality? She was only shown to say "I'm sorry" to her sista'. Th' voice she used she said was used fer royalty talkin' ta' subjects, so I assume such a voice would not be used in th' presence o' her sista', probably different ways ta' act in front o' different types o' ponies. Otha' than th' "I'm sorry" we got no clue on her personality, and she was locked away on th' moon fer 1000 years. Would be weird if'n she jus' suddenly knew how th' world worked

I had no qualms about this episode. I thought it was fun and I was giggling quite a bit from end to end. xD
Luna is fine, I think. Remember that first impressions are never truly accurate, anyhow. xp The idea of her being so socially awkward and speaking Early Modern English sort of dialect makes perfect sense after she's been out of the loop for 1,000 years...
Actually, this episode has really shoved Pinkie Pie up my list of favorite ponies. YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD FOR FREE CANDY! NEVAAAAAR!

Can't forget that derpy was in there too! And she got some decent air time to boot. I didn't have a problem with the ep - maybe the reason why she keep saying "we" is because... well, you see it in some movies after someone is possessed and stuff - they continue to try to reclaim humanity. Or in this case, ponanity.
