▽ History: Camelia Grey was just an average goody two-shoes most of her life. Perfect grades, mature behavior, a little... okay a lot on the awkward and clumsy side, but overall the picture of perfection, an overachiever. She worked hard to keep everyone happy, especially her parents. Her mother being a strict private school principal, and her father a researcher. With this reigning over her home, the girl had no choice but to love academics, and her hobby had fallen into getting herself into everything that was electronic; from a cell phone to a microwave fused to a grill. Somewhere in her teens, Cam had tried her best to make friends and be popular and stuff. To her surprised, she ended up falling head over heels for one of her classmates. Eventually they dated, but a few months later he became terminally ill and died some time later. After moping and grieving for a good deal of her time, Camelia decided to change things up... being the devil's spawn for a few people as she finished high school a few years early. She had headed for college and finished it much quicker than most would've expected. However she only took a simple job to pay for her little studio apartment in the city. Life had been good for a bit, but it had lost it's appeal quickly. A call from her aunt changed that, offering a chance to live on the island by house-sitting and keeping an eye out for her cousin his last two years of high school. It sounded easy enough, so she figured why not and headed there.
Initially it had been ruts after ruts, since she had been house-sitting and doing literally nothing for a while. Until she got a job that is, at the local general store. She was starting to enjoy life at the island, even developing a little crush on her boss. Things might've gone to far when she found she was pregnant, which pretty much drove the male insane. He bounced back by the birth of her son Constantine, not her idea, and tried to fit into the parent role. Tried, because the whole situation was pretty confusing, further complicated by the boy being taken away from them since his father was a psychotic lunatic and wasn't deemed safe to be around him. That she could've dealt with, but then she was deemed irresponsible for letting the father near the kid. In a wrap, it was a horrible couple of years dealing with the sheriff and trying to get her son back. In the end, she couldn't, and had to live with supervised visitation rights every now and then. Camelia left the home her aunt had her caring for to a much smaller space for herself, since that's what life had for her. After getting into a huge fight with her son's sperm donor, she didn't want anything to do with him or the store, so she fixed things up to become a teacher at the island's school. That has been her past years, dealing with kids and hoping time to pass by. Which she makes by torturing her kids with work every now and then, just for kicks.
▽ Personality: Once Camelia had been just rough around the edges and deep down quite sweet... Turns out losing custody of your child makes you quite bitter and snappy. Her temper is much more out of control, and she's managed to perfect an intimidating stare that plants teenagers into their seats. The only time she probably loosens up is when she's involved in her longtime hobbies, tinkering with technology, etc.
