Tonight my boyfriend and I may have to deal with violence with one of our roommates, we have a three month old son and its a very small place. Please set aside a small prayer for us that things won't get violent and that we will be able to make it without too much conflict before we get a chance to move. I am right now very frightened that someone will get hurt and that my boyfriend may end up in jail trying to keep us safe.
Please take this as the advice of someone that has been there, done that, got that shirt and half a dozen coffee mugs.
Do NOT get more than grabbing distance from a phone. Don't end up thinking, "Crap, if I could just get to the phone".
The number is 911. Don't be afraid to use it. It's better to apologize for over reacting than to wish you had reacted.
If you can it might not be a bad idea to see if your son can stay somewhere else this evening. Even if things don't get physical he doesn't need to be subjected to yelling and screaming either.
If you can, take video. If it becomes a legal matter you'll have more than he said, she said.
Other than that you will be in my thoughts tonight. Domestic difficulties is a matter I take very seriously. I only wish I could offer more than text advice and well wishes.
