Something is disturbing the order of the world, and if someone doesn't find and destroy the source soon things will undoubtably get much worse.
Strange abilities are awakening in otherwise normal kimera, much like the rumored abilities of Sarlost and Syn.
Teleportation, glimpses of the future, telekinesis, supernatural healing, telepathy...
Nightmares plague everything living withing hundreds of miles; even dragoras, who supposedly don't dream.
It might not be connected to the strange events, but a new parasite has appeared as well.
These tick or leach-like scales attach to anything living, whether plant or animal, but other than that don't have any noticeable effect... They certainly aren't sucking the life out of their hosts, since even small lifeforms like mice are seen with little scales firmly attached to their heads yet still scurrying about with an almost suspicious purpose.
It's hard to determine their effect on larger kimera, since most seem to become very protective of the parasites after being bitten and will lash out at an attempt at removal.
They seem to be coming from the center of a certain small forest, or at least that's where their population explosion was first noted.
They coat the trees there, and in certain lights it almost seems like the trees are moving on their own. And maybe they are, but that doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the scales.
Still, it's hard not to imagine a connection.
So.
That's the situation.
Now then, are there any brave kimera who want to investigate?
Only kimera with special abilities should apply, since those are the ones that seem to repel the parasitic scales.
Of course, with all the peculiar phenomenon going on, any kimera is liable to wake up as some kind of psychic these days...

Responsibilities of a god
In a post-apocalyptic world, there's not much keeping humans and kimera from descending into total anarchy.
So whether you'd like to give things that final push, or work to rebuild a better world, you'll need to recruit followers, spies, and allies while working to undermine your enemies.
In short, you need a bit of free time to RP.
A handsome tiger-colored raptor coughs politely to draw your attention. "I'll take over from here." He steps forward and tilts his head, birdlike, to size you up then nods. "We're headed into the forest east of Arhkam where the rumors began. I've been there before and saw a horrible creature that might be responsible for this mess, but all I could do on my own was flee..." He coughs again to hide his embarrassment before continuing.
"Anyway... If some kimera with powerful psychic ability will come along, I can lead them to the remaining entrance of the forest, after that they're on their own." He tilts his head once more. "So, how about it? Fame, glory, the possibility of harnessing incredible power, what's to lose?"
