The Beginning
Born within the mists of Kirigakure, Luo Ushio was said to be destined for greatness. His father a mist shinobi and his mother one of the sand village, his parents fled Kirigakure with him at the age of eight as it seemed to be plunged into tumultuous times. Oddly enough, Luo was indeed as intelligent and strong willed as those who witnessed his birth thought, having completed Kiri Academy before moving. However, he had not had the opportunity to receive his headband as the day of the graduating ceremony, the village was invaded. So during the process of moving and becoming official citizens of Sunagakure, Luo was forced to wait five years until the law allowed for him (now a citizen) to take and pass once more the placement exams and receive a Suna headband. In his five years of adjusting to Suna, Luo for the most part was assumed to be a lone wolf. He rarely spoke and didn't necessarily bother to take time out of the day to participate in after class activities other children did. He did however find one friend in Haseo Shimizu, a rather polar opposite to Luo in most senses of the word.
What intrigued Luo about this boy however was nothing in particular he said at any point in time, but rather his technique in combat. He was an oddity when it came to sparring, his methods not just unconventional, but down right unnatural. He didn't think like the other kids and not only that, but he was just as skilled as Luo was despite his loud mouth and inability to respect authority. It confused Luo how someone so lazy was capable of the ability he had, and often Luo wondered if Haseo even knew how good he really was. At first a rival, Luo grew to actually enjoy spending time with him, his inability to hold his tongue something Luo found refreshing and annoying. He often filled in the quiet blanks Luo had and vice-versa. They seemed to be an oddly matched pair, especially considering the fact that Haseo was a natural social butterfly. Luo was usually thrust into situations and gatherings he wouldn't normally participate in, but in time learned to partake in everything if only to give everyone a chance. Little did he know how tight this bond would become, and where this path would lead him......
