Group 14 Quote: Character Name: Holly Minis Account Name: elvyralani Year, Race - Subspecie: Y2, Ghost - Fox Spirit Natural Ability/Abilities: Can turn into her natural form of a fox. Fox spirits can blink from place to place. Only short distances, no more than five feet and can only do so in their natural form. As of Year 2, Holly can also phase through objects (if this ability is approved). Quote: Character Name: Levi Minis Account Name: Neko Year, Race - Subspecie: Year 1, Monster - Tatzelwurm Natural Ability/Abilities: Tatzelwurms have been credited to fly but, truly, this is just their leaping ability at work. Her tail acts as an extra limb (like that of a kangaroo or possum) which aids in her impressive jumping abilities. Her key points are in agility and speed. Quote: Character Name: Savior Minis Account Name: Rownie Year, Race - Subspecie: Y1, Monster: Marrowstripe Natural Ability/Abilities: Shedding Sand - All Marrowstripes produce sand when they move and they can use this sand to mark objects as well as leave a trail for them to follow. The sand has a scent unique to each individual Marrowstripe, allowing for tracking and re-tracing of steps. [ Savior's sand smells strongly like a citrus fruit, and is potent enough that even a non-Marrowstripe can smell the scent of citrus on her body ] This also allows Savior to find people who have her sand inside their bodies [in their blood] as she can smell it, even in small amounts. Quote: Character Name: West Minis Account Name: smerdle Year, Race - Subspecie: Y2, Demon - Wrath Natural Ability/Abilities: West can fly, but only in areas where natural abilities aren't suppressed since his ability to manifest his wings relies on FEAR. He can also feed off of the anger of other creatures and humanoids (if this ability is approved), which gives him a temporary energy boost. If the creature he is leeching anger from is small, like a minipet, West also has the potential to drain its anger and leave it docile. This room is freezing and you soon see why upon entering. There is snow and ice. Everywhere. Careful where you step. The ledge you are standing on is a pretty small tight one that does not allow for to much wiggle room. Not only that, but here are patches of ice. Below the ledge is a completely frozen pool. Not all the ice looks that safe. However, before you even think about crossing the pool you notice a sign. A lot of the sign has worn off in the frigid weather but there is still a good deal left. INVISIBLE PATH ..F7...E...6...D....C6....B....B...7.. There also seems to be a chest by the sign. A note is strapped to the chest instructed - Wear this to keep warm. Quote: OOC: The way across is an invisible path. The invisible path is horizontal and vertical; there are no diagonals. It is your choice whether or not you wish to make a straight line across it; keep in mind that in doing so it may hurt. You have been warned. BE SURE TO WORK AS A TEAM ~ GO GET EM

(( Levi is entering from ORP 8D ))
Upon entering the house, Levi came to realize the first room they'd encounter was... like that hallway. The hallway back in Amity- it was freezing in here. There were no opponents visible and she looked back to her companions with a touch of a frown. No asses to kick in this icy scene as far as she could tell.
A sigh escaping her, she then noted the actual size of the platform they were entering on. Careful. Don't wanna be losin' anythin' in tha first room. She could've said something snarky, but it was true- there would be no fun in losing in this place without getting some fights in. This looked to be a test of wits? ... She'd have no problem with that.
The sign was difficult to make out, but was certainly a way of helping them across the icy pool. Right? She wriggled at a shiver running down through her tail just then. The ghoul was warm usually, but she wasn't really dressed for this scene in short shorts and a tank top. Dangit it was cold...

(( Entering from here! ))West barely managed to resist the urge to begin visibly shivering as he followed Levi through the door and into their first room. Jackdammit it was cold in here! And what in the hell was a frozen pool doing in a haunted house anyway? Instead of trying to brace himself against a wall or hanging back, the boil trudged closer to the edge, his lips pursing in agitation as a chunk of snow found its way into his shoe. "N-no one's gonna lose nothin'," he said. STUPID SHIVERING! There were no asses in need of kicking here! He glared at the sign Levi had noticed, his gaze traveling lower once he realized he had no clue what it meant at the moment. Wear this to keep warm.Oh shi-- West took two long strides back toward the chest, flinging it open and coming close to leaning half of his body into it to see what was inside. Warmth warmth warmth what the ********? He tugged what looked to him like a black leotard out of the chest, holding it up and shaking it. The material was thicker than he'd seen dancers wear when his mother watched ballet on skelevision, but it was still a frickin' leotard. "Hope this isn't fer me," he muttered, his breath coming out in thick white puffs.

Furrowing her brow in thought at the puzzle of a sign before them, she caught the figure of West rustling the snow beneath them. Where was he- AYE! Clothes?! Apparently she hadn't noticed that part. Speedily following West's tracks, she shoved at him with a bare shoulder picking up another outfit out of the chest that was smaller than the one West held. She realized the garment wasn't long enough. Drat! Holly- catch! Think it'd fit ya?! She quickly tossed it over to the ghost ghoul and went in for another before West could grab at it. Was he just going to take everything for himself?! She wasn't about to let the ghouls freeze.
The chills were getting to her and the goosebumps on her arms were evidence of this. She needed this new one to fit her. Flattening the top half up to her, she estimating the sizing. This looked like it could work. Ha! ... then she too rubbed her fingers against the fabric, curious about why they'd gotten such thin garments if they were to combat the cold. Well- it was better than all the bare skin as she was, that was for sure. Maybe it was a special sort of material? There was no way of knowing beyond changing into it. The blackened material and red hooded cape along with some boots and things were what she found. Collecting them in her arms and hands, she swished away from the chest before West could (potentially) take anything she might have picked up.
...Least it's dark. If we're needing' ta sneak any- but she stopped herself before she could finish. Trade secrets, Levi. Trade secrets. What's with tha face, boil? Despite likely freezing as well, he didn't seem glad about these clothes anymore. But she quickly looked to Holly and Savior again. Ah! Boots and things! For them both too! She was ready to dive back to the trunk for them if they didn't want to wrangle with a wrath demon.

"Hey, don't..." West admonished, pushing at Levi halfheartedly as she took his place closest to the chest. It wasn't as though he really wanted the ghouls to freeze, but the fact remained that he was still clutching something that seemed to be made of spandex. Ick.
"These t-things're ridiculous," he snarled, gritting his teeth when they chattered again. "An' wher'my s'posed t'change?" Oh yes, he was going to change. If this mysterious sign was telling even a bit of the truth, he wasn't going to deny himself whatever warmth these stupid clothes would bring him. He leaned back over into the trunk, digging around until he found some boots, a bunch of belted things that were tangled together, and a cape that matched the one Levi had taken for herself.
He took his bundle as far away from the chest as he could get on the cramped ledge, turning his back to his teammates but glancing back at them as he spoke. "Dun look," he muttered.

((Entering from the orp))
Holly sighed when they entered the house place. She disliked extreme heat but now extreme cold? Where they out to just utterly make them the most uncomfortable they could? They were also stuck on a small ledge with a chest of something.
The ghoul stared at the patches of ice and read the sign. "Huh." She glanced at the item of clothing West had pulled out of the chest and a chuckle escaped her lips. "I'd think you'd look amazing in that West." Her voice dripped with sarcasm. Seeing any boil in tight leotard wasn't on the top of her list.
"Thanks." She caught the clothing that Levi had thrown. Looked like it could probably fit. Quickly she made her way to the chest and joined Levi at looking at the rest. "Dark is perfect yes, Jack knows what is in this place."
Holly shrugged at West. "Just turn around. Don't ya be looking at us either or you'll be the first to try those ice things." He'd probably be anyway. The ghoul turned her back to the boil and decided to change as well since the clothing had been divided up.

Change wherever ya like... There was a sort of mild questioning in her voice. Levi knew boil and ghoul tatzels never seemed to dress in front of one another, but she wasn't embarrassed about exchanging her clothes for this new garment if it meant warmth right there where she stood. Practicality was her only real drive for matters of dress; especially when she was freezing her tail off. Since Holly had mentioned the dressing in such a way, though, Levi took it as an open opportunity to taunt the boil. Why'd it bother him so much?
Ya'll better not make us come over there. That worked, right? Right. Let's just do it n' git over ta tha sign thingar. So we're not freezin' our tails figurin' this place out. She settled her pile of items to the side of the trunk then, looking to Holly. It was perfectly fine for her to change with the ghouls, she'd figured, curling her arms and tail around her midsection for warmth, waiting to see if they needed any help, she decided she needed to get started before her limbs turned to icicles. Better get outta these then. Unzipping the front of her shorts, the ghoul began to undress with her back to the boil as Holly did.

The boil turned his back on the ghouls for the second time and threw the short cape over his shoulders. He tried pulling his t-shirt over his head under the protection of the red fabric, but that only caused the cape to dislodge and drop silently into the snow at his feet. West looked behind him again just to make sure no one was watching him change. If his eyes stayed on Holly and Levi for a moment longer than it might have taken normal people to see if someone was staring at them, well, who could blame him? Ghouls. Changing. Seriously, you guys.
A violent shiver brought West back from unexpected distraction and he rolled his eyes at himself, this field trip, these clothes, everything. He would never have guessed in a million years that he would be missing the giant squids. With a sigh, West got down to business, making short work of the belts, zippers and buckles covering his questionable outfit, until he was left standing there looking like one-quarter of a quartet of dumbasses. At least... whatever the hell this thing was in front made this whole near-spandex situation less embarrassing. He gathered up the clothes he had arrived in and tied them to the strap of his bag.
"Y'done?" he yelled. He wasn't going to turn around again without an invitation. Just... no.

(( Savior is entering from ORP ))
To be honest, Savior was terrified. She'd followed her companions into a strange room, their scent basically ensuring that she'd follow no matter where they went, and as soon as the Marrowstripe entered the strange and cold room an unfamiliar feeling washed down her spine.
She was cold. Savior had never been cold. In fact it was a very high possibility that it was something she'd never experienced before, therefore not having the chance to forget it, and the monster shook a bit as her bare feet touched the frozen ground. From her mask hot wisps of breath rose into the air, circling her face until they disappeared above. Nervously she cracked her knuckles, hoping to alleviate some of this discomfort, but to her despair nothing changed. She was still cold, the others in front of her seemed just fine, and the monster felt her legs start to give out beneath her.
Savior was a creature of the desert, hence her little to no interest in suitable attire for any weather type, but being in this freezing room was affecting her far faster than her companions. They were changing into what looked like warm clothing. Savior could feel and see her hands and feet turning blue. They were contentedly talking to one another, making jokes. If it weren't for her mask covering her face and holding her breath in the Marrowstripe likely would have her jaw frozen. She simply grew colder than the rest that quickly.
"Wessst." Savior's call was faint and trembling, the hollow tone nearly reduced to a whisper. She tried to take a step forward to get their attention, to let them all know she was there, but her legs gave out beneath her and she hit the ground. Hard. Face down is how she stayed, a groan escaping from beneath the mass before she went silent.

Holly had nodded and followed Levi to the sign to change. "Don't want to be lossing our tails from this cold, yeah." Not that hers was real but lossing anything to cold didn't seem like any fun at all. But when were these trips suppose to be fun? Never. The ghoul wasn't really bothered about changing in front of others it was just, it was West and that was weird. She changed as quickly as she could to get it over with.
Her old clothes were stuffed into her bag. Now West was asking if they were done. She looked over her shoulder, he was done dressing. Holly turned around, bent over, and picked up a handful of snow. "I am but I can't speak for the others." Holly tossed the snowball at West's back. She grinned.
The others. Others. Savior. Wut.
How did she forget about Savior. There was a thud. No. The ghoul looked to be turning blue. Not good. "Guys, Savior!" She grabbed one of the extra cape things and went towards the fallen ghoul.

The tatzel was into her new gear and stuffed the old clothes she'd been wearing into her canvas bag laying on the floor where her pile had once been. Holly had finished too, and West called to check on them.
She turned with the ghost ghoul, picking the bag back up and wrapping the strap over her chest. She tilted her head when Holly had bent to pick up some snow. What was she- ...kekekeke~!!! Levi cupped one hand over her mouth when Holly threw the snowball at the wrath demon, obviously amused by the rough ghoul's actions. Yep, done alrig- She then watched Holly race over to Savior.
Savior.
Jackin' hell. Levi had figured the ghoul was changing into something as well and had apparently lost immediate sight of her during the change. She slid through the snow and knelt by Savior's feet. What's goin' on 'ere?! This wasn't her usual skin tone and something told her it wasn't a good sign either.

An icicle falls from the ceiling and completely destroys C1, C2, B1, and B2. The rest of the ice is starting to spider web cracks all over the ice. If the group looks up, they will find the ceiling is full of these icicles. Probably best to get a move on.

Hey, it seemed these stupid hobo suits were good for something after all! West felt the solid thud of a snowball as it hit him between his shoulder blades, but as far as cold went, he barely felt it at all. Clearly it was time for snowball fights. Screw strange ponds! Screw 'em in the ear!
He spun around, poised to bend over and grab some snow of his own, when he heard Holly's cry. Savior. s**t.
West didn't have any inkling at all that the Marrowstripe was a desert creature, but he was well aware that she barely wore anything, even on the chilliest days in Halloween. He grabbed the last of the stupid suits from the chest and hurried to join the others, careful not to go careening into the icy pond.
"Savior?" he said, kneeling near the others and reaching out to shake her shoulder. "Aw, ********> Instead of waiting for a response, West lifted the ghoul off of the ground and covered her as best as he could with the fourth suit. "Do that one too," he said to Holly, motioning to the cape she held with his chin.
Soon after he had Savior secure in his arms, West's attention was grabbed by a loud crash. Something had just cracked the hell out of the ice, taking several chunks of presumably safe footing out of the running for the safe awards.
"We hafta get outta 'ere," he said, his gaze shifting to Holly and Levi. Now was not the time for snowball fights after all. Pity.

Savior barely registered much of what was going on, her eyes wide open as her body refused to move. She could hear voices, probably those she called her companions, but she didn't think on much more. She was cold and she was tired, both things she didn't know she could experience. She didn't feel the hands that touched her, the arms that lifted her up and held her close. Savior could only hear the cracking of the ice and the worried tone of the person holding her.
She tensed as the cracking happened, her eyes still wide and her arms pressed close to her chest. Hot streams of steam kept rising from her mask at a rapid pace, she was either breathing at a rapid pace to keep warm or she was hyperventilating in an early stage of panic. Either way she kept looking up at West, eyes unblinking. "Wut now." Her voice was still soft though color was slowly returning to her cheeks. It seemed as though the Marrowstripe could leech heat easily from those around her though her fingers and toes remained a pretty blue.
"Go first, Savior." She was offering to head out and try to find the safe path, knowing her weight and general survivor skills might help. Savior was unaware though that she probably couldn't stand on her legs at this point in time, her safest and best bet to remain in West's arms. "Protect Luuvue, Horree. Wessst.
