Jingle Bell Ball and Holiday Ideas.
Kali sat on the window set in her room leaning agents the wall. Her journal in her lap and a pen in her hand the end of it near her mouth. “Hmm” She scribbled down the date and a ‘dear journal’ before continuing to ponder how to turn her thoughts into words. Putting the pen to paper she started to write.
I’ve heard that the town is having a Holiday ball soon it sound like a lot of fun. It’s too bad it’s the same week she paused for a moment realizing she wasn’t sure how long they would be gone. Shrugging it off she added an S with a question mark and parentheses before continuing on.
my parents took off to go on a vacation to see our relatives. (Mom’s side of the family.) Their relatives only lived two hours away but they didn’t get to see them often. Plus going up there and staying for a week or more counted as a vacation didn’t it? When she got a week off from school they called it a vacation. “Note to self look up exact definition of vacation.” She sighed thinking about the dance she had been planning on going before she learned about the trip. She’d have another chance to socialize at town events. And what were the chances of anything major happening at a dance?
The town will have other party’s right? If anything happens I’m sure the guy’s will let me know. Chances are one of them will go. I wonder if the boss dude’s gonna go. Kali giggled at the idea of The Necromancer show up at a dance.
I can't see him at one of those things 'course I don’t really see him in anything other than his cloak. Ooh maybe we could have a party. That would be fun. I'd say it should be a graveyard party but then the other guys might show up and crash it. A graveyard party would be awesome although it was more the type of thing that would probably happen around Halloween.
Anyways it's too bad about the party I had a cute formal outfit too. My brother said it looks better without the paw print gloves he might take me ice-skating, that'd be fun I haven't ice skated in a few years. She looked over to her closet were the dark purple dress was. “I think it looks cute with the paw print gloves and stockings what about you Aker?” The silver cat tilted his head letting out a confused sounding “Murr?” Kali giggle at his reaction and reached out to pet him when he came close enough. After a bit she turns back to her journal.
And moms really exited to see her sister. Maybe they’ll come down to see us next year. and I can go to that dance if they have one. If not it will still be fun to hang out With my friends and the group during the holidays. A smile crossed her face as she thought about a ghoulish Christmas. She put down the date again as she started a new page.
My brother said he wanted to get my cats catnip for Christmas. I told him that I rather he didn’t I don’t want my cats to become drug addicts. “ No drugs for you guys right? Plus I don’t want to deal with what might happen if you guys get hyper and runaround the house like some cats do when exposed to catnip.” She turned her head spotting a black cat sitting down with her tail wrapped around her paws. “You might never live it down if you go nut while on catnip huh Bast?”
I’ve been Thinking about getting Bast a collar that Looks like Egyptian collar necklace that They usually have pharaohs where in pictures and movies. It would probably look like the one they have on the Bastet Statues. All though that might be a bit much so I might just get her one with a Ankh instead. The large gold necklace that they usually have on the statues did seem alike a lot and there was the possibility of it being too heavy for her to wear comfortably. A collar that matched her fur with an Ankh a symbol usually carried by Egyptian gods that mean eternal life seemed to fit a cat named after the cat goddess.
I was thinking of geting Aker a collar with lions laying down on it. Aker was apparently named after a god who took the from of a lion so it makes sense to have lions on his. She tilted her head looking at Aker, she wondered if he remember Egypt he had be young they had bought him from a respected breeder. Egyptian Maus are a relatively rare breed so she was ecstatic to get him. She felt it wasn’t right to change his name from what the breeder called him lucky it was easy enough to say.
Other than their special collars they will be getting an assortment of toys and treats. I might get a new cat condo too. I replaced the brush my brother stepped on After Aker knocked it of the stand it was on. The pet shop had this cute fish toy that cats can crawl in and hid like a mini cave made out of a fish mouth. I might get it for them.It was while she was replacing that brush that she ran into Jayke and Koorie. She gently tapped Aker on the nose as he stud on his hind legs to look at what she was doing. “No peeking at what your presents are.” She wasn’t to worried about them finding out she already had their stockings filled with treats and toys and had hidden them on the top shelf in her closet. That fish was cute though.
I’m all so getting treats for the cats at the no kill shelter in the next town over. That’s it for now. She nodded to herself looking at her journal. There wasn’t much more she had to say. She was sure that the cats at the shelter would be happy to get the treats she loved to volunteer at that shelter it was a lot less depressing than most as they didn’t euthanize any cats that don’t get adopted which was the reason she brought most of the strays she found there the only one she didn’t was Bast whom she’d kept instead.
