Room Plot this is where new ideas will be posted for people to see, check back often
Day One:
People would find themselves in the front foyer where they meet the guides. It would be the guides’ job to mingle and warn the people not to leave the group. They can be sketchy on the why part if they want or we can be up front from day one. About halfway through, the Administrators would show up to peak people’s curiosity in the asylum and try to persuade them to leave the group when they have a chance. This would also allow for the general dancing and refreshments in the normal sense of the ball and people can stay back in this area for the next couple days if they choose but that also makes them prime targets without the guides nearby. Mid to late First Day, the tour has moved through the building a bit and stops in the patient dorm wing. Here we can have some build up for day three by making some weird stuff start happening. Our crossover with High Adventure will be happening in here, with one of our people stealing away The Queen.
Day Two:
When The Administrator tries to offer her up as a sacrifice during the second day, she'll be sent away to her other crossover. One of our doctors/demons will probably follow her over in order to help the demons who break out later invade their dream area as our part of the crossover. Another can be taken in the second part of the second day as a segway into what’s really going on. If we didn’t explain everything on day one, this is where the guides would come clean about what’s been happening at the asylum. The people we lost would turn out to be the last souls needed to open the barrier between the two worlds and start the chaos. If we plan to do a cross over with any of the other rooms, this would be the time to do it.
Day Three:
In the third day, demons are everywhere and chaos has free reign as we try to find a way to close the barrier, which is in the basement. There can be a couple Third Day only contests/games that we do in connection to this event. Close to the end of the day, one of the guides will end up sacrificing themselves to seal the barrier and get everyone back to a waking state, taking the other guide with them. The people will wake up outside the building in the grass, having never actually gone inside.

Poy Poyudi Hytori The Sands of Time Blow.... Alright! That's enough stalking/reading every post for now. I stopped by to see what you were up too. xD
@Panda: The idea of doing a Joint plot (Or having one character from your room stir up some trouble in ours) has been suggested a couple of times in our room's Plot planning thread. So I wanted to stop by and see what you thought about it. (Though we're waiting to see what the main plot is like so we can include it in our plans.)
I'll quote my own suggestion for the idea here so you don't have to run over to our room. xD This idea was taken from a few different suggetions and put together. (Mainly the suggest of our room's conflict being caused be a character from your room, and an idea of having a mirror that goes into a different world.) ....Greeting the Demonic Prince. Quote: Panda's doing the Nitemare Room right? We could ask about doing a joint plot with them. Perhaps having a Huge mirror in each of the rooms (Looking Glass) That actually leads to the other. And sometime in the plot of each room the beings that make up that room can figure out that the mirror leads to another dream, and go through it. Causing all sorts of Chaos. (Whimsical characters would be in the nitemare room, and nitemare characters in the whimsical room.) Again. We'd have to see how Panda felt about it. But it could be really fun to do, if we mange to pull it off. xD The Sands of Time Blow.... This would be an interesting way to further the nitemare part of your room. As I'd imagine that beings from your room would be freaked out by those from ours and vice versa. ....Greeting the Demonic Prince.

Okay, so the dream I had set me in a few familiar places to my life but it had the basic elements we could use here.
So these places I know were dead and still. Like creepy still. But at certain moments, by me or the person helping me (didn't know her), our hands would bring that spot back to life. But there was always something chasing us to derail us bringing the world back to life. It had its own assistant as well. And Fey was a big theme as well since reviving a lot of the spots involved bringing a fey or a mass of fey back to life. I haven't started the sketches of what the fey looked like yet but they were... awesome.
So in a room idea, I broke down the roles like this:
The Creator "made flesh" - this was something that kept getting repeated to me by my assistant whenever my hands would revive a spot instead of hers. Creator's Assistant The Nightmare - This was the dark red and black mass trying to stop or kill us. It took a lot of forms ad also possessed things to get in our way. Ghostly Touch - I call Nightmare's assistant this because it would possess creatures to attack us on The Nightmare's behalf.
Neutral Parties: Narrator: Someone to set up scenes Fey Queen/King: This androgynous being who kept popping up to beg me to revive the land.
First part was at an old house of mine. There was a creek near by as well. The land was all dead grass, dead garden, dry creek, etc. While the assistant basically brought make a lot of the land space, this was the first meeting with Fey. They looked like they were frozen in time and when I touched one, all of them came buzzing to life to wrapped around me like a big hug. It was also the first time I heard The Creator Made Flesh from them as they parted. But shortly after, I was attacked by cats possessed by Ghostly Touch to kill me either by blood loss or me passing out and drowning in the creek I had just revived. It took me reviving a patch of catnip from the dead garden to break that possession. After the garden was fully revived, I met the Fey Queen/King who said I needed to revive other places as well as his.her people trapped by The Nightmare.
The second part was traveling along country roads to a city, reviving places and fey along the way. This was the first time I ran into The Nightmare. The first form it took was a rather sexy looking man to try and distract me with my libido. cat_wink Since I didn't fall prey to him, he tried to have razor wire wrap and kill me on the way into the city at random times. I was driving a motorcycle (somehow) so I had to weave and dodge through there to make it to where I was going.
The last part was in the city I used to live in. Here, Ghostly Touch and The Nightmare were possessing things right and left to kill me. G.T. used people off the street as Nightmare used cars. At one point, I was in a car stuck at a bridge that was up over the river and Nightmare missed my car and got the one in front of me, forcing it to drive through the side and into the water. I finally reached the heart of the city to find the Fey Queen/King that had been talking to me was really only a shadow since the real one was frozen in time hooked to this machine that glowed like The Nightmare did. Before I could anything about it though, I woke up. cat_crying
Well, that was the dream. It was real vivid and really strong, so I can pull up details even now, some 16-ish hours later. Ad I think it'd be a cool idea for a plot since it even will allow for joint plots with Nightmare escaping the dream or people coming in to help against possessed things.

I like the idea of a cross over, and how you've got it written out so far. Here's my worry. Wrath room and Sloth room did a cross over this past ball, and while it theoretically worked fine for the storyline there were a lot of hitches and it didn't work as smoothly as it needed to for a room crossover. So I think it would need a lot of planning and whatnot to make sure that would go off as seamlessly as possible. I love this. Very dark and dreamlike.....lol cuz it was a dream. And if we were to do a cross over with Poy's room it would work great there, and if we didn't it would still be a great plot to use for the room. And its still very supernatural with the fey and magic and such. And we could probably incorporate other elements if we wanted to, if people wanted more supe or more nightmare qualities. Not sure about the reviving the land part honestly, I mean I definitely see how it works. I suppose we'd have to see what the main plot is before deciding on the climax for our room.......

Right. I only described the dream as I had it. Obviously, things will be changed for the room plot. But a lot of the things in place there can give us a good base to start from.

I had a dream last night, and it might be due to a mix of Doctor Who and that I work at a haunted house, but I was walking through a house and kept seeing flickers of things that used to happen there, and each room was differently themed and as i walked further and further through the house the images got more and more solid as my fear of them grew. So the largest was a girl tied down with needles in her eyes. It creeped me out

So I was told to share one of my nightmares. I really had this dream many years ago and to this day the thought of it brings shivers to me. A warning for this is a real nightmare and contains some horrible imagery. I've told this dream to a few people and to this day I have no idea why I had it or what it was suppose to mean. I didn't watch any horror movie, in fact at the time I hated anything horror movies. I have never had the dream again which I'm thankful for.
Somewhere deep in an unknown rainforest a group of explorers were following a man who looked to be dressed in a white or off white looking suit who was always followed by a boy white a green jacket who's sleeves were way to long for him. The group was looking for some ancient relic, or artifact or something to which I'm not truly sure. the man in white had funded and lead the expedition with the hopes of becoming famous and rich from the discovery.
Soon enough the hack through the underbrush to come across a door made up of what appears to be a black metal. There are carvings and writings on the door that no one on the crew has ever seen or heard of before. With the man in white feeling this is the discovery they have been looking for the group opens the door and enters in.
Inside the place appears to be a dark and deep cave with no light source whatsoever and for some reason their flashlights are not providing that much light at all. Suddenly the cave erupts with red and orange light and what was once thought to be a cave now looks like the inside of a volcano, but there are no volcanoes within a hundred miles of the place. A deep gorge of fire and lava flow like a river with jagged rocks shooting up all around the place and one rock that holds a form.
The forms looks almost like its sleeping until a head raises up. To most it looks like a dog going from a sleeping position to raising its head when it heard something. But the eyes of that creature shiner brighter than anything in the cave and within them seems to burn the hatred and malice of eternity. As the creature stands it can be seen it walks on four legs but spines and spikes appear all along the things back, shoulder blades, head, legs, down along its long tail, and then that mouth. Two large teeth can be seen easily going up and another two going down following by more large and glistening white teeth. The mouth seems to always remain partly open likely because it cannot fully close its mouth because of its teeth. The creature suddenly leaps from its position and lands before the group and the deep grayish blue skin of the creature can now be seen.
No one has said a word, no one has run, and no one has tried to do anything. Those eyes have been looking at them the whole time and feelings of dread, hopelessness, and sorrow are all that fill them now. With a low growl and then almost what sounds like a laugh the creature pounces on one of the crew and begins gutting the poor man before everyone. The act snaps everyone out of the trance and they run for the door. The creature seems to jump from one gored crew member to the next quickly tearing the person into unrecognizable parts and then moving on. It's not eating them it's just destroying them. All the crew is dead now except for the man in white and the boy who are now close to the door but the creature is now running straight for them. It does not pounce like it did before but runs like a predator closing in on its prey. The boy reaches the door first and as he opens it and goes through his thoughts are only on self preservation and he begins closing the door behind him. As the man reaches the door the creature slams into him slamming the door closed and pinning the man against it. The beast eats through the man's back all the way through his chest and lets him slide off the door.
The boy sits down breathing heavily against the door just being thankful that he's alive. As he takes a deep breath the door suddenly swings open and the many barbed tail lashes around his neck and jerks him back in. The beast thrashes and tears at the boy for a time and then throws him in a corner. The boy is not dead but badly injured. The creature lays right back down next to the door and appears to be sleeping except one of those glowing eyes is watching the boy. The boy crawls himself into a ball and just lays there shaking.

First Idea is strictly bound to a Nightmare Themed Room. 2nd? Well, I am uncertain anymore... sweatdrop
1st Idea: Nightmare on Elm Street-related Think of Freddy entering the minds of sleeping users. Now, think of them as soon as they enter the Nightmare room, they all fall into a deep sleep in where Freddy (or can be another entity) have taken them hostages in his Nightmare World. In order for them to get out, they must defeat Freddy. How do they do that? By joining together and try to all at once think of good thoughts...pure thoughts...to defeat the Darkness within. The Freddy character can be dark, spooky and scary or can be, like, for example, Nicki Minaj's version of Freddy...but more bloodied up and a tad bit diva. ninja
2nd Idea: This idea is loosely based off the Shin Megami Tensei Persona video game series. In the Real World, regular people are having Nightmares and are not being allowed to wake up. A chosen few is allowed special guns to shoot themselves into a Dream World and save the civilians. An evil muck monster(or something along those lines) is who is making all these people have this horrible dreams. These chosen few are to save these people by the means of using Dream Guns as they shoot themselves in the heads. Once they have shot themselves, they are put into a deep slumber...for a certain amount of hours. In the Dream World, these chosen few are given special powers to help fight against the evil that is agonizing the people. If by the time they don't defeat the evil before they run out of time, they lose some life and wake up and have to do the Process all over again. If they succeed, they gain a life back through their special powers. One of said special powers is summoning Dream World Spirits to help their journey. See, I am hoping the setting will be like normal. Going to school students and junk, right? But then, all these weird occurrences started happening of people not being able to wake up. Then suddenly, a chosen few, four or five get these awesome powers because they are some sort of descendants of the previous power holders, I guess? And then they find out that it's not only been happening in their town, it's been happening everywhere and there are other users out there to try and protect Dreams. All the action is in the Dream World. The only Real World tie-in is that these are students, high school and college, and that this "victims" are in a "dream coma" in real life. And of course the planning has to happen in the Real World because in the Dream World, they are either attacked or they get help from Pure Dream-Like Creatures. The guns are actually the powers that are given to the chosen people. They aren't real guns, per-say. They would be energy guns. The guns summon the dream-like creatures to help the Chosen few in battle. Main Villain - He will have a metahuman form...he will look like a human first, and then after you defeat him, he turns into a gruesome, viscous thing that is more powerful than the metahuman.

I thought it might be good to find out what the most common types of nightmares are experienced by people. So when I looked it up this is what I found. I think it might be good since we're appealing to a general public to remember we can't have too specific of a nightmare, or people won't be able to flow in and out of the dreams.
International Mental Health Institute 10: Feeling Lost or Trapped Unlike most of the nightmares on this list, this dream is very direct and simple to analyze. Feeling trapped or lost in a dream indicates a concern of being lost or trapped into a certain situation or position in your waking life. Are others pressuring you into doing something? Do you feel as though you've been lost in the shuffle of things, or you've run out of options? Realize this dream is a direct warning to your internal concerns, and it should be a cue to consciously address these feelings before it's too late. Otherwise, you may start having this next type of nightmare. 9: Falling or Drowning Do you feel like you're in over your head? Maybe you're caving under the pressure of a certain task or duty. These anxious feelings will most likely result in a dream of you falling or drowning. Dreams revolving around a continuous fall or drowning demonstrate an internalized anxiety about a situation or task at hand. The emotions they evoke can range from loss of control to exhilaration. Your specific reaction in this nightmare will likely mirror your reaction to certain circumstances in reality. This is also a perfect opportunity to engage in lucid dreaming. If you know you have this dream often, you can resolve these falling and drowning anxieties by realizing it's all a dream, and then willing yourself to control it. Instead of falling or drowning, tell yourself to fly or swim. After all, it is your dream, and within it you can do whatever you please. 8: Machine or Phone Malfunction Did you call someone in your dream, only to have it ring endlessly without anyone to answer? Did your computer's hard drive crash while you were in the middle of writing a paper? While these are not particularly terrifying nightmares, to some, a crashed hard drive can be just as devastating as crashed car. Malfunctions with technology, especially communicative technologies, may mean you are failing to reach out to someone on an emotional level. Have you lost touch with a good friend? Is there a disconnect or barrier forming between yourself and a loved one? If this is a common nightmare of yours, take the time to evaluate your relationships and identify key areas that need to be mended. 7: Being Naked or Inappropriately Dressed in Public Dreams of appearing naked in public are invariably one of the most common nightmares shared by people of all ages. These dreams tend to act as reliable measurements of your self-esteem. Within them your clothes function as a method of concealment, enabling you to hide things about yourself that you don't want others to see. If you are comfortable being nude within your dream, you are secure about exposing your feelings and have nothing to hide. Embarrassment about nudity implies vulnerability, guilt or shame, while being oblivious to your nudity can mean a lack of self-awareness. If you've been hiding something from others, or are afraid that people can see through a façade you've established, be prepared to have this common nudie nightmare. Whether experienced in reality or in dreams, being caught in the midst of a natural disaster is an unquestionably horrific experience. Significantly disturbing dreams, like this one, will always contain substantial meanings, and nightmares of disaster speak volumes about your current state of mind. Usually, a catastrophe dream alludes to feelings of disaster looming in your waking life. You might feel as though you cannot survive whatever turmoil or dilemma you're currently challenged with, and instead are lost in the cataclysmic wreckage left in the wake your dream-disaster. If you tend to have a disaster dream, examine what exactly you are feeling overwhelmed or defeated about, and rationally address the issue. 5: Poor Test Performance Even if you've been long removed from the day-to-day realities of class schedules, college ruled notebooks and the quadratic formula, you still might have midnight hauntings of pop-quizzes and impossible exams. Subconscious test anxiety is actually quite common among dreamers, and the grade you receive on your exam is fascinatingly revealing. Failing an exam in your dreams reflects your waking life concerns about how deserving you are for the things you have achieved in life. If you were to go back and receive an evaluation of all your past deeds, would you be satisfied with the results? If you would be satisfied, but you feel the grade you received on your dream-exam was unfounded or incorrect, your dream might be suggesting your feelings of doubted or denied recognition for something you've accomplished. House or Property Loss or Damage If you've had an intense dream about your house, don't panic. It's not because you've been watching too many Bob Vila marathons. You're actually having a very normal dream. When a house appears in your dreams, it usually symbolizes the self. The façade of the house represents your self-image, while the interior symbolizes your inner-self. If your home, or a possession within your home, has been damaged in your dream, the nightmare may reflect inward feelings of being broken or mishandled. Along the same plane as the damage dream, dreams of lost or stolen possessions also reveal tumultuous inner feelings about the self. If you've lost an important item or had something stolen from your home, you may feel as though you are susceptible to deceit, or you feel that something valuable to you is at risk. 3: Car Trouble Having problems with your car is already a nightmarish experience, but in dreams vehicular mishaps signify much more than a looming oil change or balding tire. Vehicles often represent the physical body, yet they can carry emotional implications as well. Like dreams of a home, the appearance of the car represents your outward perceptions, and your inner feelings are represented by what's under the hood. You might be driving a wonderfully looking car, only to realize the inside is a mess, or it doesn't function properly. This situation might parallel your internal feelings towards yourself. Sometimes in dreams about cars, you're seated behind the wheel and heading straight for a crash, this could signify feelings of powerlessness or a lack of control. 2: Suffering an Injury, Illness or Death Dreams of serious illness or death are very distressing, especially when we're reminded of that chilling old rumor that claims "if you die in your dreams, you will also die in your sleep." Don't worry, plenty of people have had these dreams and have lived to tell the tale. While dwelling on death can seem very morbid, in dreams, it can actually signify a change or new beginning. Death can represent the end of a certain stage in life -- you know, like the end of your flannel and overalls hobo-chic stage -- which isn't necessarily a bad thing. But not all dreams about death have a silver lining. Sometimes they represent the ominous raincloud they seem to be. Dreams of injury, illness and death can signify feelings of emotional hurt, or fear of being hurt. If a loved one is the one who is ill or dying, it may mean that the part of yourself you see in that person feels as if it were lost or dead. If you dream you are dying suggests you are no longer able to cope with a troubling situation, and should seek the help or advice of others. Dreams involving illness and death can be extremely frightening, but don't take them too literally because you could be oversimplifying their true meanings. 1: Being Chased or Attacked To be chased or attacked by something or someone is a ubiquitous nightmare shared by all dreamers. The scenery and assailant might change figure or form, but the act of being chased in a dream always signals to our body's fight-or-flight response. The chase dream is remarkably prevalent because the fight-or-flight response is a primal reaction embedded in every single human being, arising when faced with dangers or fears. Sigmund Freud characterized these dreams as "the manifest dream content of persons suffering from anxiety." This anxiety reflected in a chase dream could stem from a various number of concerns, from menial worries about getting stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic, to substantial fears of getting into a full-on collision. As these genuine fears are embodied in a phantasmal pursuit, the actions you take to escape this hounding danger parallel how you would react to the stresses, fears and pressures of reality.
My other thought is we need a basic setting to work with and I really think we should work with a surreal nightmarish setting:

Something we can spookify and dress up to be more or less nightmarish/supernatural as we need it to be. Yes I know those are specific Halloween Town pictures, but they got my basic idea across. Its needs to be creepy, nightmarish, supernaturaly surreal.
Or if we decided to do it in a building perhaps something more like this
