Journal Entry 1

Dear Diary Journal,
Today, I woke up, and looked out the window to see a man... A stranger. I had no idea how he'd gotten up to my home, but, there he was. And he saw me looking at him, and beckoned me out.
I was nervous, naturally- people don't usually pop up out of the blue here, but... he looked friendly enough, so I stepped out of my small home. He walked over, and offered me a satchel of some sort. I took it, and backed up a good five feet, to look in it.
Imagine my surprise when I found myself peering at a small seed, and a pot of soil, carefully sealed so the dirt wouldn't spill. There were care instructions at the bottom, I could see them, and I looked up to ask what this was about, but the man was gone!
After a few moments of looking for him, I gave up, and picked up the small seed- it was so warm-feeling in my hands, and I was surprised by the soft texture. I took it inside, and decided I'd keep a journal on its growth and development. After all, it is a gift of some sort, and I've always loved plants.
