Far far on the edges of the universe known as the milky way, far beyond the reaches of robotic explored space, is a little, itty bitty blue green planet.

Here, the only surviving humans live, undisturbed for more then a millennium. And oddly... you would never have been able to tell that they were there at first glance. The oceans were pristine, and huge tracts of forests, savannas, deserts and tundras.

This is, to them, a paradise. Created by the humans who live here. They came to this little backwater planet, fleeing the needless violence of their kin, and did here what they believed they failed to do on Earth.

They created New Eden.

Up came a slim tall woman with pale brown eyes the color of amber. Her skin was tan and her hair was a rich honey blonde that over time had formed into a mass of long thin dreads that went to the back of her knees. She too was nude and was walking with ease and comfort through the woods as she came up to playful as the wind. Her name was looks with eyes full of memory. She sat next to Playful as the wind and looked up to the sky at once her eyes and lips holding a knowing smile. "So then, Playful as the wind. We know that each and every star, planet and thing in between has a voice, a will, a soul. If we are to live harmoniously with the universe we will one day have to know each one on a personal level and seek peace and equality with them. One way is to learn their stories. They won’t tell them to us always in song. The stars for instance will tell us in a mere twinkling. We who learn to watch and are patient enough can understand these twinkles these dances of light and darkness and understand the words they speak. In this way we gain understanding and wisdom from the very skies. Today you learn a little of this. Tell me playful as the wind what stars story interests you this night?"

Looks with eyes full of memory frowned a little at the mention of sol... and unbeknownst to Playful as the wind she had actually pointed AT sol which was little more than a very faint twinkle in the sky as of now. "Sol our first sun when we were just barely out of the primal ape nature. It no longer does and no longer can support human life." Looks with eyes full of memory sighed. "Do you want to hear a sad story tonight?"

Looks with eyes full of memory smiled at Playful as the wind and then frowned again. Playful as the wind was getting older and more steeped in knowledge every day, it was time to tell her about earth. It would take the whole night and then some to tell the entire story; but here and now Looks with eyes full of memory would begin the task. She had the both sit lotus style and face sol as they held hands and Looks with eyes full of memory began the story of early man and of their journey to eventual self-destruction. The rise of peaceful machines and of the wandering human tribe of whom they belonged that had come to eventually inhabit this world... A long story indeed. It was well into the afternoon of the next day when Looks with eyes full of memory had finished.

In another place listening inside the silence to another story was an old man sitting one hand above his head curved like a scorpion tail at the ready with the palm up towards heaven the other was resting in his lap the palm was up but the hand was closed. Light was in this place with no obvious source and the space seemed to have no exit or entrance. It was a perfect closed sphere made of brass. None knew how long he had been there. Long enough to be forgotten, long enough to know a great many things as they drifted in and out of perception and time and mass and became inspiration and information and idea and thought comingling with his mass and frequency in space and time. He had long ago dropped the name he once had been given. He was a part of now. He was a note in a great song that told an endless story. He had become content with this story and his role as reader and silent participant for a very long time. Until only a moment ago; now the harmony he was so in tune with had plucked a sour note. It resonated into his very core and he knew something was amiss. He was drifting back to singularity, drifting back to definition and solidity. His eyes which had been open saw once more and he stood. His hands were at his side and as he brought them up clapping them together with a silence shattering echo of a clap he seemed to puff away like a mirage in smoke and was gone from this space...

"Yes I am. Food water and a willing woman would be a nice greeting to my physical presence. I will do with food and water however." He had formed like smoke and mist right before the elder. He looked strong hell he felt strong but she could also feel his needs even from the eight feet of distance between them. He had spoken bluntly and with total honesty. And his words came like a brief moment gone before you could try holding them leaving you with a more real sense of his silence than his speech.

The man smiled warmly at the elder and came closer to her in a tight embrace... the food and water momentarily forgotten. It would be early in the next morning before his need of food and water would be addressed again. And for addressing his carnal needs he had earned and even greater hunger and thirst than before. He tore into the food with a primal enthusiasm but always thanked each item for its sacrifice before devouring it... within a few hours it was all gone. He could still address his carnal needs but most beings including the elder need rest at some point. He kept himself restrained and his face went stern as he sat down in lotus position. He had business and it was important enough to wake up for. He came here for help, he would need it badly.

"Help. Good help from someone with very wide eyes and a strong as steel will." He looked up to the sky as if looking at something. "There is a poison in the very blood of the universe and if not checked will snuff it all out." The man looked back to the elder and she saw the portend of doom that lingered in his ancient eyes. It seemed like when he was still everything stilled around him. Quiet surrounded the man like a nonvisible fog.
