Ok! What kind of games do we want to have?!? heart Random number games, dice games, trivia? Chibi always comes up with great games where people have to roll dice to see if they succeed in catching or finding something.

Thanks for the compliment! blaugh We will need to build them around certain things in the plot. As long as we can get the idea together, I can crunch the numbers and run the odds for each of them. I get kind of obsessive when it comes to things like that. But, from what Broken told me, she's the exact same way. xd Maybe we could have a meebo meeting to brainstorm ideas?

How about Monday? People are usually home more on weeknights than on weekend nights.
@G-Fire - Yeah, there's NO WAY I'd forget the 25th. xd

Sailor Sunburst made a great suggestion in the last meeting. She suggested doing riddles in the form of song, poems written as if they were being sung. That would be a nice twist on the old riddles.

I was thinking more of a sonnet than a ballad, but sure. rofl
Does anyone have any good ideas in mind for any games?

Chibi and I actually talked some tonight about the riddle game and how it could tie in with the overarching plot of the fantasy dream and could even be combined with the scavenger hunt. I'm really sleepy, so I don't know how good I'll be at explaining what we've come up with, but basically, we went back to the idea that the characters (and, as the game comes into play, the guests as well) are attempting to find ingredients for a spell that restores the rose that represents the health of the kingdom. So on the first day, Giselle thinks she's found the answer in a spell book...only it leads to disaster (cue the ice pixies and the dice (or was it random number? I can't remember off the top of my head) game to get rid of the pixies). Giselle then figures out that Caliban actually pasted a spell book cover onto the cover of another book, causing the mishap with the pixies. Then the character from the school dream comes in on Day 2 and inadvertently leaves behind what appears to be a cookbook but is actually a spell book. Giselle flips through it and finds the spell that will heal the rose (and with it, the kingdom), but the problem is that the spell is written in riddles that the characters can't make heads or tails of, so they enlist the aid of the guests to figure out what each ingredient is. Cue the riddle contest, and the first person to solve each riddle gets a prize.
We haven't actually figured out what items we want to go into the spell yet, but I was thinking along the lines of things that capture the essence of a rose; namely, the color, the fragrance, the petals, the thorns, and most importantly, heart (roses represent different types and aspects of love). What we were also thinking was that the riddles get figured out pretty quickly, we dispense the prizes, and everybody goes on a non-contest/just part of the plot RP scavenger hunt to grab up these items and put them into Giselle's cauldron. BUT the catch is that while most of the items are easy to get, the last one, the heart, is really hard to find, and the spell absolutely won't work without it. The characters think that the "heart of treasure" in the spell refers to a heart-shaped jewel guarded by a dragon, so they organize a quest (maybe at the beginning of Day 3) to get this heart. They successfully capture the heart and put it in the pot...and nothing happens. It is then that they realize that the "heart" is actually their love; more specifically, it is the "treasure" in each character's hert; that is, the possession that he or she values the most. So the cast members each suffer internal struggles as they realize that they have to part with these beloved objects for the greater good. Then, once they actually do that, the spell works, the kingdom goes back to the way it should be, AND the characters each get back their personal "treasures" unharmed. End of main plot; cue party! That's what we came up with. I hope it makes sense...I know I'm not making a lot of sense because I'm getting super sleepy and need to go to bed like RIGHT NOW blaugh ...but yeah. What do y'all think?
Chibi, maybe you can explain it better. You're probably the better writer between the two of us. sweatdrop

I like the idea but I wanted to ask how are we going to have the guests "gather" the items? and what will the process of the final moment when we put those items in the spell, and then finally our "heart" items? biggrin
I am all up for Whack a Pixie and we could make it a numbers contests...the top three people that whack the most pixies wins. You have roll like a 5 out of 1-6 to make a "hit" and then after a limited number of Pixies (say 50???) we count who killed the most, second most and third most and they get a prize?
