Nickname: Cha-Cha (This is used by her adoptive mother. She hates it. Never call her Cha-Cha :C ) Race: Human Gender: Female Age: 20 Height: 5' 10" Build:Witch- Lean muscularPosition: Mononoke - White Siberian-Bengal Tiger Mononoke Form: Siberian-Bengal TigerStage: Witch Posting color: ▇▇▇▇▇▇ = Light Gray Makai GradesAbjurationGrade: B+ <("If I work at it I am pretty good at this!") This school is focused on protective spells, as well as spells which cancel or interfere with other spells, magical effects, or supernatural abilities.TransmutationGrade: A <("It takes some concentration but when I get in the zone I am great at this!!") Spells in this school alter the properties of their targets. This comes in the form of increased strength, intellect, speed boosts and so on. ConjurationGrade: D <("Calling and summoning aren't so bad (B- and B-) and teleportation is okay (C)...but when you destroy and hurt instead of creating and healing (F and F)...well...it hurts your grade pretty badly.") Conjuration is divided into five subschools: calling (spells which physically transport extraplanar creatures to the caster, as well as granting them the ability to return to where they were called from), creation, healing, summoning (teleporting objects to the caster's location and/or causing creatures to physically manifest at the caster's location) and teleportation (instantly transporting creatures and/or objects). DivinationGrade: D- <("Ungh...I can't do this at all! I think it's only cause the teacher pities me that I'm not failing...") This school is focused on acquiring information. Divination has one subschool: scrying. Spells within the scrying subschool create invisible magical sensors that provide the caster with information. These sensors can be detected and dispelled. EnchantmentGrade: C+ <("I'm pretty good at resisting enchantments but I can't cast any for the life of me...") Enchantment spells are mind-affecting and Enchantment is divided into two subschools: compulsion and charm. Charm spells affect the targets' attitudes, usually making them act more favorably toward the caster. Compulsion spells can force the targets' to act in a certain way or avoid certain actions, affect the targets' emotions, or affect the targets' minds in other ways. The Compulsion subschool also includes buffs. EvocationGrade: A+ <("I love this stuff!!! It's as second-nature as breathing!") Evocation is focused on damaging energy-based spells - It also includes conjurations of magical energy. IllusionaryGrade: C+ <("I'm pretty good at figuring out what's an illusion and what's not but I can't make any for the life of me...") Illusionary is divided into five subschools: figment, glamour, pattern, phantasm and shadow. Figment spells create artificial sensations with no physical substance. Glamour spells alter the target's sensory properties, and can cause invisibility. Pattern spells create insubstantial images which affect the minds of the viewers, pattern spells can inflict harm. Phantasm spells create hallucinations which can be harmful. Shadow spells use magical shadows to create things with physical substance.-- For the future:
Tea: Sacred Tiger - Increased strength (physical) and concentration, Holy+ 1) Tiger's Blood- A potent, spicy liquid taken from her own veins. 2) White Lotus Blossom- The white lotus blossom is said to represent spiritual and mental purity as well as femininity. 3) Incense Smoke- Incense burnt while in prayer, the smoke has a sweet and spicy scent. 4) Tiger's Roar- Ferocious! This bottled roar embodies the power of Chanda's inner tiger. 5) Swan Neck- A representation of grace...though the method of obtaining it was anything but. Eugh. 6) Angel Down- Strong holy/angelic theme. Strong holy magic.
Cerberus- Momma says knock you OUT. Oh hey special stock link:www(.)istockphoto.com/search/lightbox/6063550/#b4abed7

PersonalityThe Good+) Patient- Chanda believes haste to be the quality of those too attached to the material realm and a hinderance on the path to enlightenment and godliness. So, in an effort to be more spiritually wholesome, she has actively nurtured her patience to be long and strong. Chanda is skilled at expelling her anxieties, refuses to let annoyances get under her skin, and keeps her temper under lockdown. +) Tolerant- While she might not agree with your view or opinions, Chanda is firm in her belief that judgment belongs to the divine and them alone. As well as being tolerant of others' views, she is also tolerant of the Majin. She does see them as different, and often dangerous, but does not believe in lethal punishment for them or for witch eaters either! Murder is a dark stain on the spirit, and as such she will only taint hers if it is to preserve her own life or the lives of many (a good example would be hunting a serial witch eater). +) Self-sufficient- To say Chanda knows how to take care of herself is an understatement as a fair portion of her life was spent on her own, in the wild, as a tiger. To survive she had to find food and shelter out of the most basic components and despite being accustomed (mostly) to the civilized world, those skills are still perfectly preserved at the back of her mind. The Bad-) Wrathful - Of course she is still human and her patience is not endless. So in those few instances when it does run out and her temper is triggered she goes positively apocalyptic. With nothing holding back her anger Chanda is akin to a rampaging animal with her violent, red hot rage showing no distinction between friend or foe. -) Socially awkward- Having spent a lot of her young life as a tiger has left Chanda a bit daft when it comes to social boundaries and niceties. Mainly she tends to bluntly blurt out statements that are either inappropriate and/or said at inappropriate times and taking sarcastic/hyperbolic statements literally. Other faux-pas include rubbing up against friends when she's feelings possessive/threatened by others and trying to chase small, furry animals. -) Obstinate- Despite having a new, loving, and caring family she's still rather stuck in the same mindset as when she was on her own. Rather than graciously accept offers of assistance Chanda will often refuses them (a bit snippy-like too), headstrong in her belief that she can do it all solo. The Could Go Either Way It Sort Of Depends On The Situation?) Devout- If you haven't noticed by now, Chanda is very religious and has immovable faith in her gods, especially her patron goddess. While her faith definitely does help with the her holy magic abilities...it also has a bad habit of leading her in situations that would be better steered by her head. Not to mention she will get so caught up in her faith that she can get a bit preachy to her friends and allies. ?) Fearless- Chanda has no hesitations about doing dangerous, sometimes bordering on fatal, tasks if they need to be done to complete a goal of hers. She has a very focused mind and won't let something like fear get in her way. But...without fear holding her back she tends to be rather reckless in those situations, charging headlong rather than taking a moment to indulge her fear and think twice about her actions. Strengths1) Powerhouse- Chanda's strengths lie heavily skewed toward the offensive and, rather than trying to round out her talents, she has instead focused all of her energies into making her magic stronger. Furthermore, her intense workouts on land and in the water have given her a bit of an edge on the physical side as well. Anyone who says a person "hits like a girl" certainly hasn't been smacked around by her. 2) Focused- As a goal-oriented individual, Chanda focuses almost exclusively on her task at hand. In regards to school (and in general) this allows her to work quickly and efficiently. In battle it allows herself to keep collected and helps her resist being swayed or distracted by taunts or illusions. 3) High Pain Tolerance- Rather than letting pain affect her life, Chanda pushes right past it, focusing on anything but whatever is ailing her. That wound looks like it needs stitches? No no, that's okay, she can keep going, really. Sure it's a lot of blood but she's fine, honest. She doesn't know how you're holding up eight fingers on one hand but she can totally do this. Weaknesses1) Limited Magic Use - As aforementioned, Chanda's magic is powerful but the downside to that is that it can only can be used sparsely before she hits empty. And while gas lanterns quietly flicker out when they hit empty her version of hitting empty is roughly equivalent to running smack into a concrete wall. Not pleasant and not advised. Another downside to her heavy focus on offense is the fact that the rest of her magical abilities have atrophied from lack of attention. She is completely incapable of healing or creating (and in fact, any attempts are meant with disaster) and other more common magics that most people can use to assist themselves in their daily lives remain out of her scope of ability. 2) Complicated Incantations - To initiate her spells Chanda must recite an incantation (either out loud or mentally) and perform a string of hand gestures known as mudra. When working a spell she can't be interrupted mentally OR physically or else the spell is cancelled and she's out half of the magic the spell would have taken had it been completed. 3) Burnout - Rather than learn from her past concussions and spells of unconsciousness, Chanda still pushes herself too hard in situations rather than calling it quits. This leads to increasingly frequent spells of unconsciousness (sometimes its sleeping for a half or full day and once it was even going comatose) after strenuous activities (such as battles). Likes<3) Meat meat meat <3) Bubble baths <3) Midday naps Dislikes3) Thunderstorms 3) Overly sweet foods 3) People touching her tail Hobbies> Swimming- Just as tigers love water, so does Chanda. If it's hot out, instead of exercising on land she just takes to the water and swims the day away. It often leads to some bad sunburns and dehydration but, in her opinion, each minute is worth its weight in gold. > Stargazing- One of her quieter activities but nonetheless just as engrossing as the others. There have been many nights were Chanda would rather watch the beauty of the stars in a quiet, uncivilized area than sleep. It's such a cleansing, spiritual experience for that she often finds herself praying or meditating part of the way through. As it stands now this is a hobby she does alone due to the incredibly personal nature of it. > Body Building- The human form is incredibly disappointing in terms of strength when you compare it to a tiger. Frustrated with the limits of her human form, Chanda has taken up body building to try and lessen the dichotomy a bit. But at her current age she's a bit too young to really be developing any heavy muscle mass. When she gets older though you can expect her to out-flex a fair number of men.

Biography
In the months preceding her birth, both Amala and Lucien were very excited about their to-be baby girl. And when she was finally born on one hot and sticky summer morning, they were the happiest couple in the city (or, so they figured). At first both parents fawned over their special little girl like any first-time parents would, and their life was a picturesque scene from any happy-ending fairytale. Unfortunately, the fairytale had a not-so-happy epilogue.
About 3 months after her birth, Amala began to develop a hunger for her daughter's heart despite leeching magic from her husband and friends. Horrified by her instincts, Amala withdrew from her daughter whenever Lucien or another person was not there; she feared that she would do the unthinkable. Her husband and neighbors quickly noticed her anxiety, sudden loss in weight, and dark circles under her eyes and pegged her odd, withdrawn behavior on postpartum depression. Despite her assurances otherwise, she allowed them to get her help for it, and after a year, it seemingly went away..but it never really did. In fact, it got worse; not more frequent, but stronger.
Her hunger tended to peak around Chanda's growth spurts (her first time crawling, speaking simple words, standing, walking, etc.) and each one was worse than the last. And on those days, sometimes the day after, Amala found herself disappearing from the house; it was never for too long, just long enough to get some magic to take the edge off. Only Lucien noticed her clockwork disappearances and suspected something was amiss...but he could never put his finger on exactly what it was. It took years, but he eventually connected her disappearances with Chanda's accomplishments and simply assumed Amala always ran away in a futile attempt to run away from her guilt; the guilt of having a child she never really wanted. It was a pleasant theory for him, and after hastily accepting it he often acted on it and treated Chanda more like a misbehaving puppy than his own daughter. (Though, in truth, it was merely him projecting his own feelings onto his wife.)
In Chanda's early years Amala passed the daylight hours by illustrating and writing short, religious storybooks (in isolation of course, so she could "focus") for her daughter. She managed to make a book every 3 days: a day for writing, a day for illustrating, and a day for hand-sewing the book together. When she was done she would read the stories to Chanda at nap and bedtimes, always focusing on being an active storyteller and always with the door wide open...just in case. Chanda was a rambunctious child though, and when she couldn't get positive attention from her father (which was often, bordering on always) she went to her mother; and even on days Amala was isolated and working on her books, the little girl managed to find a way to sneak her hugs and pester her into play time.
More than anything, Amala cared about Chanda's safety...but when she saw the longing in her daughter's bright, blue eyes as she asked for mommy to play with her, Amala couldn't bring herself to turn Chanda away. But while she found herself overjoyed at her Chanda's pure bliss at getting to spend time with her mother, she also found herself in great pain. Each hug, each kiss, each touch fanned the ravenous flames in her chest and Amala often ended up locking herself in her room or bathroom, crying for hours after playing with her.
Despite being more than well-off with Lucien's career, Amala secured herself a day job with long, strenuous hours to limit her exposure to her child. This ends up working until Chanda turns five-years-old. With her newfound semi-mastery of the spoken word she constantly wanted to cuddle up and read her mother's books to/with her the moment she came home. Every time Chanda would ask she would say no...but Amala's ability to say no had waned with each ask until, one day, she finally caved. They read the story of The Devi, Chanda leading with Amala stepping in when needed, and fell asleep together. Amala woke up in the middle of the night, her pulse hammering in her head as her hand rested on her daughter. Before she had thought her hunger was unbearable, but this one trumped them all. Every ounce of her screamed to take the witch's heart in her daughter, to just cave in and sate her hunger. It took an hour for Amala to actually get out of the bed and when she realized how close she had been she left town for three days with nothing but the clothes on her back.
When she finally did come back, she told her husband and friends she had left early in the morning for a family funeral and wake. All her friends believed the lie, but Lucien knew better. In an effort to help her cravings, Amala enrolled Chanda into a day-care (one might even call it Kindergarten) at age five and left Lucien to drop off and pick her up so that her only exposure to her daughter is around bed time where she read Chanda stories (or Chanda read them to her) and sometimes even sang lullabies.
Life remained about constant for the Davis' for the next five years. Lucien ignored his daughter in favor of trying to "fix" his wife, Amala planned her days so that she would never come so close to killing her daughter as she did that one night, and Chanda learned to entertain herself by reading the religious texts that had inspired her mother's storybooks. And when she was through with those she began to try and read her father's books on war history (though she never got very far and mostly just looked at the pictures).
One cool, autumn night Amala found herself awoken by what felt like a solid punch to the stomach. Cold and clammy she wandered the house in a daze and felt the warm pulse of new magic on her skin. She knew what had happened, she knew Chanda had come into her magical ability, she knew that if she opened the door to her bedroom she would not be able to stop herself from going in and plucking the witch's heart from her daughter. She knew all of those things but she looked in anyways, "just to check" she told herself.
But rather than seeing her ten-year-old daughter curled up in her bed she saw a large, white tiger sprawled out over it. The shock of the sight was enough to break her hungry trance and before Amala could even think long enough to second guess her decision, she fled again...but this time she didn't come back. Not after three days, or ten, or thirty.
Lucien had friends and extended family search for her, but after a month of false leads and flat out failures he decided that the only way he would find his wife was if he searched himself; and so he did, leaving Chanda alone with nothing more than a "I'm going to find your mother."
Chanda stayed in the house for weeks until the surplus of food was nothing more than crumbs. She had debated trying to go out on her own to buy more food with the random pieces of jewelry her mom had left behind. However, the city council had other plans. They had heard through the grape vine that the house was essentially abandoned and decided to repossess it (as well as all that was inside it). One morning Chanda woke up to hear the voices of men in the house and, in a panic, fled to the nearby forest area with a few precious belongings: an armful of her mother's books, a few of her father's, and the jewelry she had planned to sell for food.
Having assumed that the child mentioned in the gossip was with the father (and why would they think otherwise), there was no search conducted and Chanda managed to live her life in the forest in the form that was easiest to sustain: her tiger form. She stayed there, in her tiger form, undisturbed for six years until a group of boys trying to prove their strength got it in their heads to hunt and kill the elusive white beast of the forest. With a boy whose magic allowed him to commune with animals, even her best efforts to outsmart the group fell apart. Just as the group was about to gang up on her, she used her last resort and revealed herself to be a mononoke. The boys, once so proud and eager to shed blood, ran off in fear thinking her to be some sort of bad omen (one even thought she was a ghost).
However, the one boy that was actually responsible for finding her was the one that stayed. He was fascinated at seeing a real mononoke rather than pouring over the odd, stylized drawings in his textbooks. His barrage of questions threw Chanda off guard and, rather than risk falling into another trap, she shifted back into a tiger and ran.
But the boy was back the next day, and the day after that, and so on. Each day he came and asked questions she would not answer, and each day she stayed just a little longer, listening curiously before taking off. Finally, after days of wary silence where she simply stared at him as he asked questions and then guessed answers, she finally took human form and spoke to him. "Chanda," she said quietly. "My name is Chanda."
It took several more days (and some still warm dinner leftovers) for the boy (whose name she found out to be Dylan) to get more detail out of her, but when she finally did tell him her story he found it so fascinating and so moving that he vowed to take her home with him. "You won't have to live in this forest anymore," Dylan beamed. "You can live with me!"
The thought of leaving what had become her home panicked her so badly that she ran from him again. But of course, Dylan had managed to find her the next day, and the day after, and the day after. Each day he tried to sway her into living back in society by listing things he knew he would miss had he been living in a forest for years: freshly baked bread, chocolate, a warm bed, shelter from the rain and cold, chocolate, festivals, birthday parties, and chocolate! Admittedly, Chanda did find herself missing a bed to call her own, and thunderstorms still frightened her beyond measure...but she wasn't ready to leave, not yet. She needed time.
Dylan didn't understand, but he complied with her request...sort of. He still came back to the forest every day to talk with her, but he never pressed the subject, not until the day she found him first, looking very much like a stained picture of when she had when she had run away: an armful of dirty books and a handful of mud-caked jewelry.
The boy wasted no time in taking her back to his home. He didn't even tell his parents about her (they had simply thought he was off playing with an imaginary friend). Dylan simply showed up with the girl in tow, a big smile on his face, and an elongated "Pleeeeeeease?!" Despite the odd circumstances, Dylan's mother, Celina, actually decided to do one better than just keep her: she took her into their family.
After a year of paperwork, legalities, and a hard search for Chanda's biological parents, she found herself with a new family and new last name. In that year they tried their best to iron out her animal instincts and readjust her to human society, and she did well for the most part. However there were some kinks they weren't quite able to work out...but rather than delay her schooling any longer they decided it was best to send her to Makai and simply send lots of long-distance hope that she wouldn't find herself in too much trouble because of it.

Magical Ability
Witchling- Possesses Smite, Holy Nova, and Divine Retribution. Possesses Divine Wrath buff. > 1 medium damage spell/2 small damage spells (or their buff equivalents) will completely drain her magic leaving her with the effects of a concussion (including dizziness, nausea (sometimes vomiting), loss of balance, and blurred vision) for up to 1.5 hours. > Divine Wrath is the equivalent of a small damage spell.
Witch- Possesses all small damage holy spells and Sacred Fire. She now has Divine Wrath, Righteous Fury, and Holy Shield. > 2 medium damage spells/4 small damage spells (or their buff equivalents) will completely drain her magic leaving her with the effects of a concussion (including dizziness, nausea (sometimes vomiting), loss of balance, and blurred vision) for up to an hour. > Righteous Fury is the equivalent of a small damage spell and Holy Shield is the equivalent of a medium damage spell.
Cerberus Knight- Possesses all small and medium holy spells as well as Holy Shock and Divine Justice. And all offensive and 2 defensive buffs. > 2 large damage holy spells/3 medium damage spells/6 small damage spells (or their buff equivalents) will completely drain her magic leaving her with the effects of a concussion (including dizziness, nausea (sometimes vomiting), loss of balance, and blurred vision) for up to an hour. > Blessing of Might and Divine Spirit are the equivalents of a medium damage spell. > If she uses 2 large damage holy spells she'll pass out cold right after and will likely have post-traumatic amnesia where she won't remember the events of the battle for several days.
Sage (lol if ever)- Possesses all small, medium, and large damage spells as well as all offensive, defensive, and now magical buffs and an oversoul. > 1 oversoul/3 large damage holy spells/4 medium damage spells/8 small damage spells (or their buff equivalents) will completely drain her magic leaving her with the effects of a concussion (including dizziness, nausea (sometimes vomiting), loss of balance, and blurred vision) for up to a half hour. > Sacred Third Eye is the equivalent of a medium damage spell. Sanctuary and Divine Wisdom are equivalents of a large damage spell. > If she uses 3 large damage holy spells (or their buff equivalents) she'll pass out cold right after and will likely have post-traumatic amnesia where she won't remember the events of the battle for several days. > Use of oversoul throws her into a temporarily (1-2 hours) deranged state and blocks all of her senses (so she's blind, deaf, etc. etc.). If not restrained while she is out of her mind it's easy for her to seriously harm if not kill herself while in this state. While the insanity only lasts for 1-2 hours she regains her senses much more slowly (over the course of 1-2 weeks).

Relationships
Family Biological Mother Amala Davis: Makai, Witch (when last seen); disappeared from Chanda's life when she was 9-10 years old. Whereabouts unknown, would be 40 now.
Chanda can only seem to recall a handful of details about her mother. She remembers her striking green eyes and how they always seemed to hold a hint of sorrow in them. She remembers always asking her mother if she felt okay, and some days Amala would cry after Chanda asked her. Her hands also always seemed to be cold when she touched her. And whenever she spoke her voice was always soft and uncertain. She had long, almost untamable wavy hair that looked stark black save for when she was in the sun and you could see hints of mahogany in it. Chanda loved to play with it whenever she could. Aside from her sudden disappearance, Chanda has no (conscious) bad memories of her.
Biological Father Lucien Davis: Human, Ars Lilium (when last seen); disappeared from Chanda's life not long after her mother did. Whereabouts unknown, would be 51 now.
Despite having a much more distant relationship with her father, Chanda remembers more about him. He was a very stern and studious man and not once does she ever remember hearing him laugh, though she had tried very hard to get him to do so. His voice was a deep baritone, fitting of his large stature, and he never raised his voice no matter how angry he was...and he tended to get angry a lot. But his anger was almost always directed at her and never at her mother. Even as a child she had the suspicion that he didn't want her in his life and after the age of 7 she stopped trying for his affection though a part of her still craved it. Some days Chanda would imagine herself as her mother, just to try and see what it would feel like to have the love he gave her. When he left not even a day after Amala did she wasn't surprised in the least, but despite the lack of surprise she still found herself crying over him.
Adoptive Mother Celina Morgan: Human, Ars Lilium; currently lives in Lumena Castle Town. Currently 42.
History Summary: Celina was not only the one who decided to take in the confused sixteen-year-old girl when Dylan brought her home, but also adopt her! Chanda wasn't officially adopted right away. In fact, it took a whole year before they even started the adoption process as Celina's conscience had dictated that she really should search for Chanda's birth parents, if only to get their permission to adopt her. However, her search for Chanda's parents came up with nothing more than same few old news articles about their abandoned home and subsequent disappearance. Celina was secretly thrilled; she had craved having a daughter since she was a young girl and found Chanda to be nothing short of a blessing.
Fun Fact: She likes to call her Cha-Cha and tries to coerce her into buying frilly dresses so she can paint elegant portraits of her.
Current Relationship: Pleasant. Chanda loves her adoptive mother to pieces, even if she does grate on her nerves more often than not.
Adoptive Father Nathaniel Morgan: Human, Ars Lilium; currently lives in Lumena Castle Town. Currently 45.
History Summary: Nathaniel was a bit complacent in the whole process of adopting Chanda, neither approving nor disapproving of his wife's actions as he knew that if Celina's mind was set on it, she'd do it. However, he eventually grew into the idea of having a daughter, especially when he realized she was more like the type of son he had hoped for.
Fun fact: He often acts as Chanda's sparring partner and tries to teach her Aikido to help supplement her magical fighting ability but to no avail. Chanda has no patience for "silly grabs and throws" as she calls it.
Current Relationship: Pleasant, but slightly distant. Nathaniel isn't a very talkative o emotional person and neither is Chanda and it leaves their relationship a bit lacking in substance.
Adoptive Brother Dylan Morgan: Human, Witch; currently lives in Moonfall. Currently 20.
History Summary: Dylan was among the group of boys who found Chanda in her tiger form in the forest, though at the time he wished he wasn't. His friends had an intent to hunt and slay her to prove their strength, but he had wanted nothing to do with the matter and was quite forcefully dragged along because of his ability to commune with animals. When she revealed herself to be a mononoke he did not flee like the others, partially out of concern and partially out of curiosity as he had heard about mononokes a few times in his classes. After their initial encounter he spent about 2-3 weeks of visiting and talking with her, learning her story and trying to coax her back into society. Eventually, Chanda conceded that it might be nice to live in a house if it was with him and Dylan took her to his home in an attempt to get her a better life. He never thought his parents would end up adopting Chanda but he was ecstatic when she was.
Fun fact: Dylan and Chanda are roughly the same height and body type (Dylan has a bit of a femme figure) and so the dresses Celina gets her often go to him. After all, as a drag queen in bloom he uses them much more than she ever would.
Current Relationship: Close. Dylan is constantly writing letters to Chanda and she, despite not being too keen on writing small novels about her week, always writes him back promptly.
