AMITYVILLE ACADEMY ENROLLMENT FORM Name: Allen Ankur

Gender: Male
Age: 15
Faction/Race Reaper – Grim Reaper
Natural Ability: Shadow shift: For a few crucial seconds, grim reapers can shift into a shadowy, wispy intangible substance. They cannot sadly, pass through walls this way.
Personality: Allen's parents (mostly dad) held him to high standards, demanding that he was in top physical and mental condition, which left no time for socialization. Allen doesn't resent them for it, he just wishes he could have had an opportunity to decide what he wanted for his life. But, Father wanted him to hold to his family traditions, much like Allen's grandfather did with his sons. Allen's still not sure if he wants to pursue being a Boogeyman, but it's all he knows. Combine that with raging teenage hormones and general awkwardness, and you've got Allen.
[Distant] - Allen probably won't talk to you. Not because he doesn't like you, but he's just got other things on his mind right now; like how he could incapacitate that vampire student if they suddenly went on a blood-lust fueled rampage. Or how he would hold up as a photojournalist, chef, florist, or a million other jobs.
[Wallflower] - Definitely not the life of the party. Allen prefers to hang back and let others do their thing, waiting for someone to approach him. Though, if a fight broke out at the party, he'd be the first one to intervene.
[Rough] - He's a social caterpillar, not quite knowing the "rules" of conduct when it comes to interacting with other sentient creatures. He tends to grunt or shrug, vocalizing only what needs be. He wants to be more social though, and will sometimes go out of his way to talk to someone. It could turn up pretty awkward though...
- When it comes to pushy people, Allen doesn't mind them much. He enjoys the fact that they want to talk, but he's not quite sure about their tactics. He'll chat with them, but he probably won't say much about himself.
- When it comes to shy people, Allen pushes himself to talk to them, knowing how they feel. If they don't talk back though, he gives up and walks away.
- If someone came into his room and started touching his stuff, he's probably brandish his ax and tell them to get out. Privacy, people.
[Hardworking] - When doing any manual or scholastic work, Allen does his absolute very best, even if he does have to pull an all-nighter. Dad always said "If you don't do your best, don't do it at all."
[Insecure] - Allen's found that he's not his own biggest fan. He wishes he was more outgoing, dressed better, and looked more frightening. Of course, that's all hidden by the rough, manly exterior.
[Once Upon a Time] - Allen's shell may seem impenetrable, but he's got a few weak spots. For example, he loves fairy tales. He has a huge tome of them stashed away in his room, and reads one story per night, aspiring to be like the hero's in the stories: brave, bold, and courageous. If you start talking fairy tales, Allen will join the conversation. Sure, he won't be "AHMIGAWD AJHLKDHJSKH" about it, but hey, at least you got the boil talking.
[Thorns in my flesh] - Allen likes to whittle when not doing school work or practicing take-downs on a petrified gnome. He makes little figurines of minis, mostly, but sometimes will make abstract stuff. He hasn't tried doing people, but he'll give it a shot if you want him to. Of course, you'd have to know about his whittling in the first place...
[Java] - Allen loves coffee. Seriously. He's got his own mugs (hand whittled), bean grinder, and espresso machine. It's his number one weakness. Offer him coffee, and you've found you're in.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Wanting to explore his career options and interact with other spooks his age, Allen did some independent research on schools. Finding AA, he went to his parents about it, telling them that he needed to go to receive the highest education possible, making him a prime candidate for the Boogeymen. His parents bought it, signed everything, and sent him on his way.
FEAR: YOU AIN'T IN KANSAS ANYMORE
Allen manipulates the air disrupted by an ax swing into a small tornado that is sent hurtling towards his opponent, causing damage and possibly stunning them as well. (Swift Strikes)
Physical Description:
Eye Colour: Forest Green
Hair Colour/Style: Blonde, medium length, shaggy cut. Style's up to the artist.
Skin Colour: Dark Caucasian/Olive
Clothing Style/Colours: Stylized leather armor, with lots of studs, fur, belts, and a shoulder guard on his left shoulder. A pair of matching leather boots would be wonderful, as well as some leather pants. Colours should be earthy/ woodsy.
Extra: If the artists is up to it, they could design a crest to be put on his armor. Completely optional, however.

Well firstly.. I like Lumberjacks!!
I won't call him one to his face but I love the axe and the flannel. XD
He sounds kind of like a loner but I wonder why that is. Perhaps you can elaborate on each of his personality traits. Does he have weaknesses for anything in particular? Things that crack his gruff, distant exterior? Is his family all like that?
What sparked his intense desire to be a Boogeyman? You mentioned his father's influence so maybe you can elaborate on that a bit.
No real criticism though! Just some elaboration. He sounds pretty cool!

I can't wait to see him come into the TiH world! When he does I will have to hit you up for some RP with Circe. :} Anyways, I did find a couple things that may help you with him. :} His history/relationship with his father: I know ILYD touched on this a bit, but I think a little bit more might help others get a clearer picture of him. - His father seems to be like the total "you're going to do this because it's what I want you to do and will bring your family honor". x3 But WHY is he like that to Allen? Is it just because that's the way he is or is it something deeper? And how does Allen feel about this? Does he secretly hate his father? Does he try to live up to his fathers expectations or is what he does never good enough? What about his mother? - So he told his family he needed to come to AA to get a better education to help get him to their plans for him. How did he think of this? Did he think it would work? What exactly was his parents reaction? Proud, annoyed, ect. Also, I like that he is a extremely shy(?) boil! But I think he would be extremely hard for someone to interact with unless they were the pushy, you're going to talk to me even if it kills you type of personality. Which is fine. :} But not all the characters in TiH are like this and thus he would have a hard time getting interactions. And what would he do with someone who was just as shy as him? Or someone that was pushy? What would he do if someone was to barge into his room and start talking to him and touching his things? :} These questions I think might help you flesh him out a bit more. biggrin But overall, I think he is pretty good!
