When the Blood Barons of The Devil's Eye had complete their initial work on their underground sanctum, they celebrated by building a grand underground arena where they could cast the desert tribes' warriors and their slaves against one another for sport. 100 feet in diameter and designed as a traditional coliseum, The Pit, as they called it, claimed the lives of many innocent men.

Now, with The Blood Barons dead and their sanctum open to all of the people of The Desert, The Pit has been renamed The Andalusian Arena. Duels over matters of honor are hosted here, as is training for The Devil's Eye's younger fighters as it offers respite from the desert's punishing heat. Beneath the Grand Floor of the arena are a number of smaller chambers that are used as makeshift rooms for warriors in intensive training, storage of goods and training weapons, and rooms for private sparring lessons.

Soon after, Kai stepped into the arena. His thoughts drifted to what kind of training Darius would put him through. Would he really be as strong as him and Krayth? They seemed very strong, and Darius said that he would become a formidable foe. Kai walked over to Darius, and waited for orders.

"And yet we still haven't done enough for these people, they deserve to flourish... Such magnificent people call this city and this desert home." Azur stood to the side of them, she had approached with silent footsteps and was rather sure neither had noticed her presence till she spoke. "Helping them defeat their tyrants is something I feel honored to have been apart of. The fire was already sparking in them, All I did was feed the flame."

For some reason when someone mentioned her's and Krayth's leadership in the defeat of the Blood Barons it only fed the felling in her that they had only scratched the surface of their people's troubles and should have dug in deeper. "Though that's just my opinion of what happened here, giving a history Lesson Darius?"

Kai listened intently to the histroy lesson that Darius gave him. From the story, it seemed Darius was a man of considerable power, the kind of man Kai would seek guidance from. Then, he asked about the were crocidile himself. He was a little sensitive about his past, but these people seemed nice as well was trustworthy, so he figured he could trust Darius. "You are correct. I hail from Indelca, and was forced out of the place by a group of extremists and racists, who happened to murder my clan in cold blood..." He said, his voice quivering and dropping at the end. "So I'm here to try and begin a new life, away from Indelca." He said, still speaking softly. The event brought up quite a few horrid memories.

Kai listened as Darius explained the skill. He was right, it seemed insanely simple. He wouldn't even need a dummy of any sort to perform it. Kai stood up and unsheathed his blade, Dusty Demon. He held in front of his face, admiring the blade for a moment. The gold edge seemed to shine quite a bit. He moved away from Darius, so he wouldn't hit his teacher while he practiced. Kai held the sword in front of him with two hands in a Kendo type stance, and slashed downwards with considerable might, which even surprised him self. The result was a powerful slash that would leave a mark on a foe. He sheathed he blade and turned to Darius. "Did I do it right that time?"

Kai nodded, smiling as Darius approved his technique. He then listened to the next explanation. This seemed interesting. Did he really have the strength to slash twice that quickly? He began to slash slowly in the air with Dsuty Demon, trying to work out the pattern he would perform when slashing. Confident that he knew how he was going to slash, Kai walked around the arena and picked up a rather large stick. He hurled it up into the air, and performed a diagonal slash from the top right to lower left, and it would of looked like that to Darius. But in reality, Kai had performed a second slash, from left ro right downards, making an X. The stick fell to the ground, in three pieces, as if it was cut twice. he sheathed his sword and turned to Darius, waiting for his judgement on Kai's performance.

"When your hands are tied, and your back against the wall..."

Darius watched as Kai seemingly slashed once, but the stick fell down in three pieces. "Very impressive, lad," he complimented Kai with a humble smile. Flipping through the book once more, and began to read the next skill. "Yer next'one is Defensive Stance," he said, keeping his eyes on the book as he read. "You take up a defensive stance, and by sacrificing a'bit of yer strength, yer able to block and absorb D-ranked attacks..... interestin," he finished, looking up to Kai. "Well then, lets see how'this works, eh? You take up a defensive stance and try to absorb my attack." Then he waited for Kai to get into position.
