Welcome to my wonderful journal smile I'm not working on any long-term projects at the moment because I'm trying to work out what to do now that I've finished high school. The answer to that should probably be "write a novel" or "write a screenplay" or something like that. But in the meantime, I'm working on a "write every day" project which you can follow on tumblr at cre8ion-a-day.tumblr.com smile So feel free to take a look around and thanks for taking the time to visit my little corner of the internet heart

Current Projects:
The Violet Hour

Guy is no one special and finds himself confused when he is summoned to the King's Court for an assignment. He is then outraged that he is to be pulled away from his young daughter to help the spoiled Princess Mae find a magic flower. The trek to the flower is simple but the return journey will be harder than anyone could have possibly imagined.

Completed Projects:
Testing the Strong Ones (Delarvai)

Two nymphs trek across the country to recruit armies for the ensuing war that will be raged against the Human King but they find themselves taking on a more serious task than they could ever have imagined. As they uncover the hidden mysteries of the past, they uncover hidden parts of themselves and take on the world together.

Scarring the Beautiful Ones (NaNo Novel)
Sequel to Delarvai. Skirvai and Delarand continue on their search for the Human King, learning more about themselves and each other as they trek across their homeland but when tragedy befalls them, will they be able to recuperate and complete their task?

A Romantic's Romance
Nicholas Rikeston-Lennox is a young Romantic poet living in London with his best friend Blake Whishaw. Their worlds however are turned upside down after a friend's birthday party and they must come to terms with who they are and how they are going to survive the strict protocols of Victoria era England.

My Amethyst Tattoo (Holding the Loved Ones):
The race is on for Delarand and Skirvai to finish their task, their numbers dwindled down to three as they hurry back to Molnessri. They have the Gods on their side but they aren’t sure that will be enough this time. One last time…

Forsaken Projects:
Micro-Bullet

The Dead Butterfly Convention:

Carli is a lyricist for the band The Dead Butterfly Convention but when she attempts suicide on tour, the band members have to figure out a way to keep her head above water. As they continue on tour - accompanied by a frustrating psychologist - Trevelyan, Owen and Jerrard attempt to finally write a song of their own for Carli to show her how much they care. But the question is: will they be able to write fast enough or will her troubles catch her first?

The Silver String Circus:
Avery Walters has just announced to her parents that her goal in life is to be a circus performer but when they don’t want to hear a word of it and refuse to support her, she runs away to join the circus. After putting up a fight, Ringmaster Geráld accepts her as a new acrobat but Avery soon finds herself stuck in a situation that isn’t as glamorous as she thought it would be. After all, the circus life is a hard life to leave.

Just Jack
Jack Williams is ordinary. The most ordinary person you could possibly meet. Until he finally talks to the mysterious girl he's seen walking past the hospital each day. Wynter Gilbertson you see, is not ordinary at all and soon sweeps Jack off his feet and into her heart. But not all is as it seems and the young doctor soon finds himself in a whirlwind of change and emotion as he loses friends, gains enemies and tries to keep a hold of Wynter's heart. He's not "Just Jack" any more.

Where the Sunflowers Grow
When Foster O’Byrne meets the fairy, Giselle Glenberry his world is thrown upside down and out of proportion. He is the key to this girl’s freedom and there is no way to back out once he’s in. But what must he sacrifice to save her?

The Doppelganger
Jaeger "Jay" Jefferson and Amelie Hamilton are demon hunters sending themselves to Starksbridge, a small town in the mountains with a plague. People have been dying, murdered in the middle of the night and they don't know why. It's Jay and Amelie's job to find out and to stop the creature. Unless it stops them first.

Finding Ricky Middleston
Annie is dying. One day when she’s at the hospital, she spots a boy she hasn’t seen since childhood. Ricky Middleston has been the voice in the back of her head for thirteen years when she finally finds him again. Their new problem, however, is that they are falling in love and running out of time. Will they be able to live a lifetime before it’s over or will they find a way to beat the odds? It’s a sterile confusing world and the only way through is forward.

I Lost My Fear of Falling
Adair Blossomweb is a fairy, but unlike the rest of her people, she cannot fly. She is afflicted with a terrible fear of falling borne from a childhood accident. When her brother is captured by goblins, she can’t rely on this safety net anymore and finds herself embarking on a journey to save her brother and herself, from the clutches of fear.

As Adair and her friends trek across the realm, they realise that being on their own is not as easy as it seemed. They learn that to make it through; they’ll need courage, strength and friendship to succeed as they grow closer to Adair’s brother and closer to full fairy-hood.

Saving All My Love For You (Working Title)
Darius is the king’s son and he has never been known for his good behaviour. A womaniser and a trouble-maker, he finds himself in a new kind of trouble when he awakens a band of disgruntled soldiers from the past. He must find a way to either appease or destroy them before they take over what is left of Molnessri and before they can find the only person he has ever truly loved.

Somewhere in Never Land
Wendy is lonely and terrified for her last semester of high school but she soon finds herself thrown into a new world when she meets a strange boy on her way home from school. She soon learns that he is really Peter Pan, come down from Never Land to embark on his next grand adventure: adolescence. Wendy welcomes the lively change but life on Never Land is falling apart without their Lost Boy and it's up to Tinker Bell to get him back.

Viva la Vida
When Daniel Worcester returns to school after a stint in a psychiatric ward, he is enchanted by Matt, a new student. Drawn to each other from the start, Daniel begins to wonder if maybe he has found his soul mate. But his inability to let go of the past and the shocking news of Matt’s true identity complicate the matter far beyond his imagining.

It's been a long day... Got up, made breakfast (badly, need more practice cooking pancakes...) and then got the chance to engage in the wondrous task of psychology homework which regrettably took up most of my writing time sad But I did manage to get one chapter finished and it was a really good chapter too smile

I've also decided that my current project will need to be cut into multiple parts - I just don't know what those parts are yet hahaha. But there's time so luckily I don't need to rush into anything.

More writing and homework tomorrow sweatdrop Such an interesting life I lead. Hope everyone else is well heart -Em

Had a productive few days smile Finished plotting the first story (Delarvai) in what will be a trilogy and am tentatively making my way through the plot for the second one while writing simultaneously. Thinking I need to get out and read some more though, get some more inspiration.

Gotta do some homework tonight but then will be jumping right back into what I do best =P That's actually something I've found quite difficult - balancing school and writing. It's hard to choose really, between bettering yourself and just throwing it all away to do what you love.

Anyway, I should go get working. Hope everyone else is good and writing away smile -Em

Had a quiet couple of days, things got really busy with school so I haven't had a lot of time to write anything, not even scraps of stuff between math equations or discussion questions in english but I've been writing tonight so I'm happy smile

I really like this story - no, I more than like it... I have NEVER felt this way about a story before, never wanted to pursue it so strongly. Like, this is a story I would literally drop everything for - I've considered dropping everything for it. Just, these characters and storyline and the places are all so awesome to me and I'd do anything to get to be there myself. I honestly want this story to be the one I'm known for whether I get famous or not - I want to be known for this story, for these characters.

Anyway, I wanna get another chapter done before bed so I'd better hop off and do that smile Hope everyone's well -Em

Hmm, I knew this was going to be a stop and start thing...

Anyway!! So, I reached my goal of 35,000 words by September 10 (YAY!!) and now I'm just writing. Things are going at a much slower pace than I would like but with school I just have no time to write - I almost forgot to write today!! That's how busy I've been!! I've got heaps of tests and stuff at school at the moment and the homework pile is probably taller than me but I have been getting a lot of plotting done in the mornings before school.

I'm about halfway through plotting the sequel to Delarvai and I'm liking where it's going smile I cried plotting this morning, I feel so bad for what I'm doing to these characters who feel like brothers but it has to be done so I'm just hanging in there. I'm also thinking about writing the sequel for NaNoWriMo this year, seeing as my classes finish November 11, giving me most of the month off because I'll only have a few exams and the rest of my time is mine smile That and I really wanna get these stories out of me and onto paper.

I'm really excited to tell these stories, I'm not sure why. There's just something about my two MCs that I really connect with and I love them for it smile I feel like they've made themselves, not me just giving them characteristics and saying "You're going to do this because of this and it's going to have this effect". They feel real and when I'm stuck doing homework for classes that I hate or am at school with people who drive me up the wall, I feel less alone because I know I've got them waiting at home or in my notebook for me smile It's nice to feel wanted.

Okay, I think I've made up for missing 3 weeks of journal writing hahaha I hope everyone else is going well!! -Em

I've had some interesting revelations/progress on my stories these past few days smile

I've finished plotting the second novel so I'm all ready to go for NaNoWriMo (well aside from drawing up a map, I really really really need to do that soon) and I've decided that I'm going to write a sequel series about a little girl they become acquainted with.

That's actually all that's happened hahaha Hope everyone else is good smile -Em

So I've finished a novel smile I'm taking a break from all out writing so I'm ready to move ahead with all guns blazing for NaNoWriMo in November when I write the 2nd book of the Delarvai trilogy smile

I've been doing a little plotting and the tiniest amount of editing but that's all I want to be doing over the next month and a bit. And probably a few little drabbles and such to keep exploring my characters smile

Hope everyone else is well smile -Em

Been doing some editing today, up to chapter 4 smile Gonna take it slow so I don't get sick of the story.

Thinking I might scrap the sequel series. It was a good idea but it wasn't one I could really take anywhere. I'm slowly forming another idea though, won't think too much about it until I've got Delarvai out of the way I think.

So ... My cats had to be put down last Tuesday... Needless to say I've had no time to focus on my writing/editing since then. Well, until Saturday =P

I went and saw Andrew Lloyd Webber's Love Never Dies (sequel to Phantom of the Opera) and I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!! I've been feeling so inspired since and have decided on a plot for my NaNo novel mrgreen And am going to have a go at Script Frenzy next year (oh the madness... sheer, utter madness...)

Hopefully I'll get an outline of my new project/s to you soon, in the meantime I hope everyone's well and writing happily heart -Em

7/10/2011

Yeah... I'm not gonna write the musical story... At least not now. I was listening to Panic! At The Disco this morning and while listening to "Sarah Smiles" (or as I like to say "Skirvai Smiles" because everything must relate back to my stories =P) realised that I need to go back to the Delarvai series. Not that it bothers me hahaha

So yes, instead I'll get an outline for THAT story to you guys ASAP and BRING ON NOVEMBER!!!!!! mrgreen heart -Em

Went back to school Monday so I haven't done too much - well actually, considering I've been at school, I've actually done quite a lot. I edited 3 chapters the other day during class because I had nothing else to do and I've been slowly plotting the end of the 3rd novel in the trilogy. Well, I'm still kind of in the middle of that one hahaha But it's gonna be totally awesome so it's ok =P

Just thought I'd let you guys know what I was up to heart -Em
