The stable is part of a large steel building that also houses the town automotive shop- separated by a large steel wall. The stable has two floors. Each floor is lined with 15 20’ x 20’ horse stalls. The first floor contains two small silos that have feed for the horse and water. On the top floor – accessible by a large platform elevator; is a veterinary/robotics lab for the cyber horses. The rusted metal floors are lined with straw to prevent the horses from getting an infection and to allow them an area to sleep if they choose to lie down. Melisa sleeps on the top floor in a separate room with a small hammock and kitchen.

SixRank: Private Squad: Active Mission:Contact Thanatos ProfileOnce Six arrived in the town of New Jericho he asked around about where he could house his newly acquired horse Diablo. When he asked he was pointed to a steel building near the center of town and told to ask for Melisa. Upon arriving at the stables he saw a young woman working with one of the bay horses who turned toward him. "Are you in New Jericho to see Thanatos?" she asked, turning back to the horse, brushing its coat while it drank water out of a bucket. "Yes actually." Six answered. She waved him toward one of the stalls in the back of the stables. "Don't bother paying me just yet, not until you've gone to talk with Thanatos at least. He's at the bar in the hotel right behind this building." With that she gave her full attention to the beatuiful horse once more. Putting Diablo in the stall she had indicated, Six made sure he had water and food before patting him on the side of the neck and heading out of the stables for the bar. Xp: Gold:

Tabitha CardellRank: Private Squad: None Active Mission: Contact Thanatos Tabitha CardellSo this is New Jericho, Tabitha thought to herself as she looked around. It seemed nice... in a heavily fortified kind of way, but at least it was relatively peaceful. Orderly. Not like the town from which she'd just escaped. No wonder dad always wanted to move here. She wasn't here for the sights though, and nor did she necessarily appreciate the attention she was attracting. Then again, seeing a stranger ride into town with a blood-stained cloth tied around their head might make anyone stop and stare for a moment. "C'mon, Dawn." With a light tap of her heels against the cyber-horse's sides, Dawn flicked an ear back at her rider before trotting onward towards the building that was supposedly the town's stables. At least, that's what the citizen had said when Tabitha had asked for directions. Upon arriving at the stables, she saw a lean young woman with black hair making sure a lovely bay horse was secure in one of the many stalls. "I'll be with you in a moment!" the girl called with a friendly smile, and Tabitha took that as a sign to dismount. "So," began the young woman as she walked over to the newcomer, brushing her hands together to dispel some dirt, dust and hay, "My name's Melisa, and I run the stables here in New Jericho. What can I help you with?" Her eyes traveled from Tabitha's dust covered combat boots to the blood-stained cloth tied around her head, her expression turning slightly quizzical and very much concerned but never losing its warm smile. "I need a place for Dawn," was Tabitha's soft reply, opting not to return Melisa's courtesy by giving her name in return. After everything she'd just been through, she thought the universe could cut her some slack for ignoring her manners. She just wanted to get right down to business today. "Just temporarily. I don't know how long I'm going to be in town." Melisa nodded as Tabitha handed over the reins, and Dawn snuffled curiously at the woman's hand. "I also need to find Al's Motel."The look Melisa gave her sparked Tabitha's interest. It seemed to say, 'Another one, huh?' "Al's Motel is the building right behind this one," Melisa answered, pointing in its general direction. "And the bar is inside. You'll find Thanatos there." Tabitha narrowed her eyes slightly. She had been right then, and now she was feeling more than a little confused and wary. Who was this Thanatos, really? And who else had a letter like the one she had found? Her reaction seemed to confirm whatever Melisa had been thinking though. "Don't bother paying me just yet," she said with a slight shake of her head, forestalling a subject that Tabitha had been planning to bring up. "At least, not until you've talked with Thanatos."Tabitha didn't understand, but Melisa assured her that all would be explained after she talked with this Thanatos. After making sure Dawn was happily situated in her new stall next to that of a gorgeous black stallion, Tabitha left the stables to do just that: find and talk to Thanatos. XP: Gold:

SunshineRank: Private Squad: None Active Mission: Contact Thanatos SunshineIt was night. Black skies littered with glowing stars and galaxies floated above barren desert sands. The blowing wind was gentle, but the sand still was carried into the air and buffeted anything in its path. Racing across the sands was a horse, with a cloaked and scarfed rider atop it. The horse was majestic looking as it raced across the lands at a cruising speed of 50 miles per hour. Its face was mainly hidden away with metal, with only the eyes and the end of the muzzle left bare. The armor started at the ears, encompassing the base so that they could still swivel, and moved down to cover the entirety of the forehead, leaving no forelock in sight. Then the metal dove down between the eyes, ending at a blunt arrow shape near the end of the nose, covering an otherwise sensitive area. The metal also came down the sides of the face, swirling under the eyes to protect the flesh there and continued down three quarters of the way down the face, allowing the animal to be able to open and close its mouth with ease. The metal itself was ornate, with beautiful carvings and decorative rivets and obviously well taken care of. The metal stretched back from the base of the head, going over the pole and following the spine all the way to the tail, in which it came to a slight point. There was a slot in the metal where a black mane grew from. The metal widened after the shoulder about a foot, following the curves of the animal, and gave it a plated sort of look. The vulnerable flesh under the neck was also covered by metal skin, and it traveled all the way to the knees like all other Cyber-horses. The back legs were also armored, as well as the underbelly of the animal. This metal was also incredibly ornate, with the same decorations as the helmet, but there were a few minor imperfections that needed to be buffed out. Its rider urged the horse forward, and the beast let out a whinny of excitement as it launched forward, knowing that it was near something to be asked to move at this pace. After a short time the pair reached a town, and the rider commanded to horse to stop suddenly. The horse let out a scream of complaint at the order, but complied. The rider squeezed the horse’s sides with her legs she silently commanded him to walk forward. They walked through the town together, and after some time, found themselves at a stable. A movement could be seen under the cloth covering her face as she dismounted from the horse. The rider then removed her cloak and scarf and revealed the face and body of a young woman. The horse let out a huff and pawed at the ground as it grew impatient waiting. The woman cast it a glance and commanded, “Hush, Walker.”The horse immediately quieted, and the woman—with her extra garments tucked under her arm—took Walker’s reins and guided him into the building. She hoped to find shelter for Walker and information about a letter from a man named ‘Thanatos’. As they entered, they saw another young woman with her back to them, tending to one of the other Cyber-horses. The woman stood there silently, waiting patiently for the other to finish, but Walker let out a high pitched whinny, having no patience whatsoever. The caretaker turned and let out a gasp of surprise and exclaimed with a hand over her heart, “Oh! You scared me! You could have called for me, and I would have helped out sooner. How long were you standing there?”The rider spoke, in a dead-pan voice, “Not long.”“Well my name’s Melisa, and I’m the caretaker around here. I assume you want a stall for your horse?” Melisa spoke with a smile now, clearly over her shock. The rider then introduced herself in a flat voice, responding, “Sunshine, and yes.” Sunshine paused and then added informatively in the same tone, “His name is Walker.”Melisa nodded as she took in the information and added helpfully, “Thanatos is in the bar, if that’s who youre looking for.” Sunshine nodded and Melisa then continued, “Alright, then don’t worry about payment until after you talk to him, ok?”‘Seems like everyone knows who this Thanatos is then.’ Sunshine thought to herself. Nodding in Melisa’s direction, Sunshine put Walker in the stall opposite of that with a pretty mare in it, smirking and knowing Walker would enjoy the view. Then she made her way to the bar, to meet with the seemingly legendary Thanatos. XP: Gold:

Tabitha CardellRank: Private Squad: None Active Mission: N/A Tabitha CardellBy the time Tabitha lead Dawn into the same stall in the stables as before, the strawberry-blonde's temper had cooled down a bit, but there was still much thinking to be done. With a heavy sigh, Tabitha began un-tacking her cyber-horse, placing the equipment with some care upon the bar and pegs along one wall of the stall. That done, she then went in of search grooming equipment and didn’t bother to shut the stall door behind her; Dawn would stay put. After asking Melisa where to find brushes and a hoof pick and after assuring the woman that she didn't need any help, Tabitha returned to Dawn's stall with a bucket of grooming supplies and began to work the week's-worth of dirt and grime out of the mare's golden coat. Dawn, who could be rather vain, whickered appreciatively at the special treatment. "I don't know, Dawn," muttered Tabitha, the familiar motions of brushing down her horse doing as much to calm herself as it did the mare, "What should I do?"Used to these rather one-sided conversations by now, Dawn just flicked her tail in reply. For a few years now, Dawn had been one of the only constants in Tabitha's life, and as such, she had taken to talking to Dawn as if she were a regular person. She never expected a real answer back from the horse, of course, but it helped to get her thoughts and feelings when she didn't have anyone else with whom she could confide. "I'm not going to apologize for my feelings," Tabitha continued bitterly, "though I am sorry to have caused such a huge commotion. Especially in front of everyone else. And here I was, trying to prove that I could handle whatever was thrown at me. Trying to prove that I belonged at that table..." A humorless laugh bubbled out of her throat as she paused in her brushing to watch the dust and loose golden hair float through the air. "Not even sure I want to belong here. Don't think dad would've quite approved..."Thinking of her father brought a lump to her throat, as it always did, and so Tabitha fell silent while she worked for a while. In her mind, the image of her father was always accompanied by deep sorrow and overwhelming guilt. She had done a lot of things over the years that her father wouldn't have been proud of… becoming a vigilante for one. Why hadn't she applied with the sheriff or the deputy? Gotten a legitimate, legal job? How could she explain to her father that she had lost faith in Sanctuary's law enforcement work soon after he'd passed away? Sometimes she thought he'd understand. Other times, his ghost haunted her still... "At least I was still trying to help!" Dawn bobbed her head a few times at her master's defensive outburst as Tabitha steadily worked Dawn over with the hard brush. "That's all we were trying to do..." The thought bounced around in her mind for a moment or two before she had to grudgingly admit that the work of the vigilantes had probably just made it harder for the law enforcers, those few decent ones that had remained, to do their work. How could someone defend a town from bandits when there were also vigilantes running around? Even if they had been trying to help, vigilante work wasn't exactly a law-abiding occupation. No. She would not beat herself up about that. Tabitha had made her peace with that one. Even if it was technically illegal, it soon became Sanctuary's one chance of redemption. "And we failed." As Tabitha moved to brush down Dawn's other side, thoughts of Sanctuary's slow but steady decline filled her head. She remembered how there just seemed to be an endless number of bandits and mercenaries pouring into the town. She remembered how many of the vigilante groups had started to distance themselves from others, going completely rogue and contributing to the problem more than they were helping. She remembered how they'd finally learned of Sergey and the secure foothold he'd gained in their territory- Dawn snorted, her ears flat back as she nipped at Tabitha's sleeve. The young woman looked up and realized that as her thoughts had gotten darker she'd started brushing Dawn rougher than was necessary. "Sorry, girl." A few reassuring pats down the mare's velvety nose soon smoothed the moment over, and Tabitha tried turning her mind elsewhere. Unfortunately, there wasn't exactly anything happy that she could think back on, and therefore, the events of the past few days pushed themselves to the forefront of her mind. "No. Not yet. Not until later. Not until I can block it all out with sleep..." Tabitha muttered fiercely. She knew she'd have to face the reality of the past few days eventually, but she'd rather do that somewhere more private than this. Her emotions got away from her more easily when she was this tired; she'd already blown up at a new co-worker. She didn't want to break down and start weeping like lost child in front of everyone too. That still brought her back to the present and the things she had said to Sunshine. The thought of that mercenary working for Sergey still drove Tabitha out of her mind with rage, but now there was also some nagging guilt. Hadn't she already established in her own mind that her vigilante work had been plenty detrimental on its own? Sure, their goal hadn't been payment, and they usually targeedt outsiders, not civilians, because the trouble had come from elsewhere. That didn't change the fact that the vigilantes had still run about as they pleased, causing hell for the last few lawmen who didn't know whether to allow it or to double the number of people that needed to be put in jail. "We raised enough hell on our own, just doing what we thought we had to do..."A new train of thought arose in her mind as she tossed the hard brush into the bucket and pulled out a soft brush, and as begrudgingly as she took it up, Tabitha started to wonder if what Sunshine had done was really any better or worse than what she herself had done. Sweeping aside the last of the dust and loose fur stirred up by the hard brush, Tabitha scowled at the thought. "Of course Sunshine's way of doing things is worse!" She didn't care about the lives she destroyed or the people she hurt as long as she got a profit out of it. She didn't care about anyone but herself and just went where there was money. Like I'm doing now. The realization caused her to pause long enough for Dawn to grow worried, and she turned her large head to see what was wrong. Muttering apologies, Tabitha hurriedly returned to brushing her horse down and let that last thought sink in. Am I still considered a vigilante? In a roundabout way, I'm working for the town, on missions outside the town, to make sure that those threats don't reach the town... I'm being paid to do this, and besides the fact that I have nowhere else to go, that's one of the only reasons I'm staying... I guess that makes me more of a mercenary now, doesn't it? Maybe she and Sunshine weren't all that different after all. They may have started out differently, but they were in somewhat the same boat now. Making an exasperated sound, Tabitha put her mental debate on hold long enough to admire the shine that had returned to Dawn's lovely coat. It had been a while since she'd been able to clean the mare properly like this. All that was left was to buff up the cyber-pieces and Dawn was looking brand-spankin' new. She did as such, and then after one quick look at the hooves to make sure nothing was stuck in them, Tabitha was satisfied with her work. Dawn, feeling pampered and pretty, swayed a little from foot to foot and tossed her head from side to side. "Hah. Careful there. You'll give yourself whiplash." Wrapping her arms around Dawn's neck, Tabitha gave her faithful steed a gentle hug. "Thanks for the help," she chuckled, knowing how crazy she must look to anyone else if they happened to be watching or listening. In truth, she'd pretty much entirely forgotten that Melisa was around, and so deep in thought had she been that she wouldn't have noticed if anyone else had walked into the barn unless they'd made any sort of loud noise to startle her. Deciding she might as well wipe down her tack while she was there, Tabitha just grabbed an old, ratty handkerchief from one of her saddlebags and began to whipe the dust off while Dawn munched on some horse feed. Nothing had been definitively decided on the Sunshine issue, but at least she could probably continue to work with her now. Maybe. XP: Gold:

SixRank: Private Squad: N/A Active Mission:N/A ProfileSix quietly walked into the stables leading Diablo in by the reins. He was in time to catch Tabitha say "No. Not yet." and waited in the middle of the stable, putting Diablo's reins in his left hand and petting his neck with his hand that could still feel the fur and muscles beneath its touch. He didn't want to interrupt her, he could understand talking to oneself to sort through things. Being alone in a cell at the lab.......well at least she was talking to a horse rather than the ceiling. Once Tabitha was done talking to her horse and began cleaning her tack, Six walked the rest of the way to the stall across the way. Close enough that she'd be able to hear if he said anything, but far enough to give her some space without a wall being in the way. Ignoring the part he'd walked in on, ignoring just about everything he'd heard, he said "I won't presume I know why you're angry at Sunshine. Obviously it has to do with the bandits, but I won't pry into your secrets. All I'll say is this. Working with her, though distasteful, will help you get your revenge, whatever you might wish it for. Beyond that, it will allow you to keep an eye on her. Better that than her running amok I should think." After patting Diablo's neck, Six went to get a brush for him and asked Melissa if she could do anything else for him once he was gone since he didn't know much about horses. Coming back he brushed the dirt and grime out of his friend, smiling a little as he did. Diablo just stood there munching his food and looking at the woman and mare across the way in curiousity. Continuing his thoughts from before as if there had been no pause, Six said "This way, if you see her going the way of the bandit, you can always take her out." Six didn't mean it to sound cold or harsh, it was simply what it was. If anyone he knew became just another monster in the night, he'd put a bullet in their head. Maybe it was conditioning from the lab where he'd had to justify his fighting to the death to remain sane, but to him it was simply how it was. Xp: Gold:

Tabitha CardellRank: Private Squad: None Active Mission: Contact Thanatos Tabitha CardellAs Tabitha examined the various scrapes and nicks in her riding equipment, she finally became aware of another presence when the sound of foot and hoof-steps met her ears. She refused to raise her head to look properly, but she did glance out of the corner of her eye just to see who it was: Six. Softly letting out the breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding, Tabitha relaxed a bit as she tried to rub out a particularly stubborn dirt stain in the leather saddle. Six hadn't said or done anything to make her overly wary of him just yet, although it was probably just a matter of time before he did. He may not remember much of his past now, but that didn't necessarily mean he hadn't done something monstrously horrid before then. Didn't necessarily mean he had either, but at this point, Tabitha was not about to wholly trust anyone for a while. When he started talking, she made no sign that she was listening, although Dawn's ears swiveled towards the sound of his voice. Tabitha would just keep busy, or keep up the appearance of being busy, until he was done. Distasteful. Hah. With that, she agreed strongly, although he did bring up some other valid points. Revenge... such a dark word. But there really wasn't one better suited for what she wanted, and she knew that she would never properly get it without the help of... well... people like Six, Thanatos, Kayla and Sunshine. Mulling over this tidbit while Six walked off, Tabitha shook out the cleaning rag and put it back in its saddle-bag before walking back over to Dawn to stroke the mare's soft, warm neck. "What's the old saying?" she murmured, "Keep you friends close and your enemies closer?" In this group, it was unclear as to who would fall into which category, but at least they were all in one place. Giving Dawn one last pat goodbye and grabbing the bucket of brushes, Tabitha stepped out of the stall and latched the door shut behind her just as Six was returning with his own brushes. He imparted one last thought, causing Tabitha to give him a rather dark scowl. She knew he was just trying to help, but she was done listening for now; it was time to be alone. Still, after she'd returned the bucket to where she had found it, she paused outside Six's stall on her way out to say a brief, "We'll see what happens," but that was all she would give him in acknowledgement of his efforts. Shoulders stooped in weariness, Tabitha made her way back to Al's Motel so she could get her room key and get some rest. XP: Gold:

Six Rank: Private Squad: N/A Active Mission: N/A Profile After Six gave his input he listened to Tabitha's very short answer before she left, presumably back to the motel. "Well, at least she seems to have calmed down a little bit. I don't think she'll try to kill Sunshine tonight at least." he thought to himself as he continued to brush the grime off of Diablo. While he was working Sunshine came in, leading the new girl Kayla behind her. The two of them stayed just long enough to see to their own horses before leaving and didn't give try to strike up a conversation with him. Once they had gone he gave Diablo another pat on the neck and said "Alot better than what you had at the lab huh? Well enjoy it for now, chances are you won't get much down time for a while." Diablo just snorted and went back to eating his food, content for the moment. Six left the stable, handing Melissa the brush he'd used for Diablo on his way out. "Now to get my own rest, unless Thanatos has something he wants to talk about of course." he thought as he made his way back to the motel. Xp: Gold:

Thanatos reached into his pocket and handed Melisa her money plus a couple extra bucks extra.“You be good for Melisa boy.” Thanatos said to Hypnos as he turned to him. He reached over and patted his trusted companion on the head who let out an approving whine.
“Thanks. You’re always so generous.” Melisa replied with a smile on her face. She approached Hypnos to and grabbed his reins “Anything to put a smile on that cute little face of yours.” Thanatos responded After making sure Hypnos was taken care of he made his was back across the streets to the Motel. The wind had picked up and the sand was blowing around so fiercely that Thanatos could barely see. Luckily he had grown use to this many years ago and easily found his way back.

Six Rank: Private Squad: Active Mission: All War is based on Deception Profile As Six walked into the stables he waved to Melissa, who was working on some bridles, and traded greetings with her before heading to Diablo's stall. "Hey boy." he said, walking into the stall and setting up his tack. He didn't know much about horses, but he'd seen how everything went on last night so it wasn't much of a problem. Diablo gave him a small nudge in response to his greeting, but he wouldn't quite stand still while Six got him ready. "If you'd fidget less we'd get out of here sooner." Upon hearing that, Diablo calmed down....marginally. Once he was all set, Six attach the bag of food and canteens to his saddle and led him out of the stables. Once outside, Six mounted Diablo and patted his neck, saying "Time for the first real mission. Let's go!" before riding off toward the West Ridge. Xp: Gold:
