And, being the nerd that I am, I immediately thought of Hetalia, specifically of Lithuania and Belarus's relationship. In my head-canon, I imagine Lithuania singing this song as a way to vent his feelings for Belarus. He's frustrated and fed up with the fact that he would give everything he has of himself for her, and she just turns away.
By this point, Lithuania is done beating himself up over it, and this is his way of saying, "Screw this, I'm dating Feliks now. At least he'll treat me right."
So yeah, those are my thoughts. What pairing does this conjure up for you guys?

I would image England since he's such a Tsundere character and seems to be pretty lonely (which he isn't going to admit aloud of course)... can take your pick on who he could partner with... it's only a suggestion

I don't think of any pairing when I hear this song. For the most part because it is unrealistic in my eyes.

My reasoning:
After the Kalamar Union, Finland was then abandoned by Sweden. Therefore he was forced to trust no one. But later on in life Finland forgave Sweden and trusted him once again. And now sweden loves him with ALL his heart. It's history, Deal with it :3
