PB
my mom stirs peanut butter into her coffee.
i deplore this, and she replies that i myself used hazelnut creamer.
it's not the same!
not not not.
she also puts pb on balogna. (baloney)
now i admit to enjoying it with jelly of course and marshmallow fluff
and on a banana or with apple slices
and i have enjoyed it in Pad Thai and in an African chicken stew (the stew even had chicken bones and i didn't mind).
so, does anybody have any peanut buttery thoughts?

I'm not a big fan of nuts in general (something in the texture bothers me), but I do eat peanut butter in sandwiches with jelly and with apple slices. Otherwise, not so much. PB is a strong flavor and hard to balance.
I can only imagine that being okay with extremely dark coffee in small amounts. Otherwise, ew. PB + celery stick + raisins, anyone? (Called ants on a log in my area. I'm not a fan, but I'm sure someone is.) PB + chocolate is a perennial fave, but I don't like it.*shrug*

I feel like peanut butter is a really American thing. I've never heard of people eating it with apple... I used to have peanut butter sandwiches a lot when I was a kid but I think I kind of overdid it so I really hadn't had any peanut butter in about 10 years. Then they started selling Reese's peanut butter cups in the past year, and I fell in love. xd

I hate reeces sweatdrop And I don't like peanut butter in chocolate, but I looooove peanuts in chocolate. I guess it's a texture thing, like Blake said.

hey chessiejo, you forgot honey!
how many lunches did we carry that were mostly PB and honey sandwiches?
and by the time lunch came, the honey would have oozed messily through the bread.
oh, and now mom has added a dollop of relish to her baloney and PB.

Man, I love Reece's. Plus, one time I had a chocolate banana peanut butter cream pie. That was pretty awesome. Go peanut butter.

univers-m i went camping the other night, and to my horror, my friend was spreading pb on the inside of his hot dog buns.. seems similar to the flavor of pb and balogna.. ewers. sad hee! maybe he gets a pass becoz you were camping. he could just say it was to make the buns sticky so the dogs didn't fall out onto the ground. which can actually happen when you are camping, as i should know.

Well satay sauce is essentially liquid peanut butter and that's pretty yummy. In fact, we once thought it was soup and ate a whole bowl with my hubby. It was delicious, but also very rich...

aha, apple butter!
what a novel idea!
and we even make that here, slow simmered in a huge copper kettle suitable for witches' brew.
