I would like to put Tystra up for Captain of squad 12....Again.... My reasoning, is because I do not wish to shut down squad 12, seeing it has members. Tystra has recently transferred there from my squad, and I know that he can do a great job. There is one thing I would like to point out. I would like this vote to be one where no Temp time is required for he is a vice-captain. He proved his worth already through being a Non-Captain Crew member, along with being the first Non-captain Vice Captain. This is the vote I would like to put up. It is a two portion vote. One is for him to get the Captain seat. The other is if there should be no temp time. Please vote. Quote: Captainship: Yes: 7 No: Abstain: Temp time: Yes: 3 No:4 Abstain: 1

I of course am going to make a vote for full captain, if I didn't think he could handle it, then I wouldn't think he could handle being a Vice Captain.
Oh, but this is going to feel like a low blow to Sendo, his first Lieutenant taking his seat like that, I would be pissed!
But my vote is "Yes."

I believe that it is a little early for this seeing as the old captain lost his seat less than 5hrs ago... but that's just a little point...
Anyways.With Tystra, I like the idea of him becoming a Captain however we've all had to go with the Temporary Captaincy term of the month so I do not see why an exception needs to be made for Tystra. It's protocol and it also ensures a second vote basing our votes and giving those who do not know him that well a chance to observe his rping skills.
They are just my opinions but I think he should have a shot at a Captain seat but, however, I think a chance should be given to the Captains to see if there's anyone else that they would like to put up before this is voted on/ passed / not passed. Just a suggestion...
Edit: Couldn't have said it better than Redd could have about the Sendo thing...

I know that this will seem like a low blow. I knew that before I put it up, as I stated, the reason I put him up is because, With squad 12 having no Captain at this moment, the squad will have to close down, making members transfer squads. For some people, they normally will quit the guild. We used to appoint another Captain to temp take over both squads. (I have done this before many times) As to see if anyone else wants it, do you believe that we should have a Captaincy campaign as in what the GE does? (which we have never done before)
Edit: Also, I mean to talk to Tystra If he gets this, and convince him to let Sendo be his First Lt...

Well not a Captaincy campaign. I've seen how they work, but just to call a Captain's meeting or even just to pm them and ask if they feel that they've anyone else in their squads who'd be 1. Capable and 2. interested in a Captain's seat. That way everyone does get a fair chance of being allowed to be voted on (sorry, typing fast and my grammar's going to be ******** up).
As regards convincing him if he gets it, it's his decision not needed to be persuaded.

I think Tystra can handle it, since he has being doing a great job as a VC.
Although I'm not very sure what happened with Sendo's situation, I agree.
However, I also agree with Pauline. Probably a temp position could be the most convenient thing as for this moment.

Well I don't see why we shouldn't put Tystra back up for captainship, I think he'd be happy to get his old squad back. So my vote there is yes.
However, when it comes to full time off the bat, I'll have to say no. I'm sure we can all agree he can handle it quite nicely, but for tradition's sake, I think he should have a temporary term. It's nice for everyone to come together to evaluate how others are doing from time to time. Not only that, but he has a lot on his plate as it is, so maybe taking on a captain's role, vice captain responsibilities, other guild's responsibilities, things in rl, etc, might be too stressful or too much work for him. I say this out of personal experiences and looking at those who had become quite overworked and stressed as well. But I hope for the best.

I never had a temporary Captain-ship and wasn't even voted in!

I think he should get Full since he's been a Captain before already (80% of us know personally, and the other 20&% can GO FRICKIN' LOOK), and he's a Vice Captain in the guild right now. Two great reasons for straight to Full.

For full Captainship, it was close, but with 4 votes, He also does not have to do temp time.
