Aurora smiled as she nosed at the flowers around her feet. They were such a beautiful array of color that she couldn't help not stopping to gaze upon them. The day was humid and filled with the sound of cicadas and the lazy songs of birds that sat nestled in the trees away from the hot sun. Nearby, a thin ribbon of water snaked it's way through the otherwise unmarred meadow, adding a soft undertone to the noise and a pleasant breeze that cut through the heat.
The breeze rippled the grass around Aurora's feet and pulled gently at her long mane, sending small cascades of black hair and iridescent strands of color into her face. She took no notice to it, her eyes looking at the blue, yellow and white flowers that made their presence known as they peeked out of the rustling grass. Beautiful!
If there were other Soquili nearby, she took no notice nor cared of their presence, caught in her own little world of color. She smiled, and a childish giggle escaped her mouth.

Sun Chaser was meandering through the woods. He didn't really have a set destination in mind, he was just wandering. He did this more often than he liked to admit, but he had quite the imagination and sometimes sent himelf on the stranges of adventures.
Before he knew it the trees were thinning and there was a clearing just a short distance ahead. The relaxing sounds in the air made the meadow even more beautiful. In front of him was a little creek. He gazed out into the meadow, there was a breeze calmly buffeting the flowers. Then Sun Chaser noticed something flashing, no glowing in the distance. Upon closer inspection he saw that it was a normal sized Soquili. It had the colors of the sun and so many more, he was enthralled with the glowing color on the mare. She had the colors of the rainbow, that mixed so beautifully with the black coloring of her hide. He just had to meet the beauty.
With this goal in his mind Sunchaser quietly crossed the creek, pausing as he felt it drift past him. He knew some of it was soaking into the scales. He continued into the flowers which where growing pretty tall, well to him anyways... The Flowers were growing tall enough to make it so he could barely see over them. The closer he got the more beautiful the mare got. Inadvertently Sun Chaser gasped to himself, at about the same time he heard the mare laugh.
