 Fjolnir had a bit of an unusual problem today. First of all, he had been very hungry, but all he had found to hunt was a pretty huge wild pig. The ensuing battle had been pretty fierce, and he was nursing quite a few cuts and bruises, but that wasn't as much of a problem as it could have been - he had miraculously evaded getting seriously hurt. No, the biggest problem was that the pig was so BIG.
Fjolnir gave up on trying to drag the carcass deeper into his jungle home - this was the fifth time it got caught in something - and plopped down to catch a breather. While he thoughtfully licked a particularly deep gash in his front leg, he pondered the heavy store of food in front of him.
It would keep for a few days, surely, but it was really a shame that so much of it would spoil and go to waste. He'd never be able to finish all that meat by himself before it started getting dry and unpleasant. He sighed. He really hated wasting good resources.
"Stupid pig," he grumbled to the unmoving carcass. "Couldn't you have had some smaller friends with you or something?"

Tunde hadn't eaten in the last few days, she had managed to catch something small a few days ago but it wasn't that much. She had been wandering around, the trees made it really hard to catch anything and it was starting to become very upsetting. She got so frustrated some times when she was wandering around and couldn't find something to eat. She was actually starting to getting upset, almost close to crying time of upset. She dragged her feet as she walked feeling very upset. As she wandered though she heard the sound of dragging and the footsteps of another. He ears folded down against her body and she crouched down. she wasn't sure what that was but she didn't want to get hurt!
She began to crouch her way through the bushes, moving as quietly as she could. She was moving slowly through the bushes but she felt like she was safe as long as the other couldn't hear her. And she really felt like she was safe if it was another creature that she could hunt down because if she was quiet and they couldn't hear her that was more than okay with her. She looked around very carefully looking through the bushes as she looked through she spotted the other lion. He was large, larger than she was for sure and he had something with him. She watched him carefully and as he started to talk to the pig Tunde though that male was speaking to her. Her ears lowered closer to her head as she started to walk through the bushes, she was feeling upset by this if he really was tlaking to her. "Are you talking to me?" She asked quietly, her body low to the ground, she looked as if she was terrified of the male. Then again she was very terrified of the male. She was afraid that he was going to do something to her. In her mind he knew that she was there and she was so scared of the other lion. She never really knew how to handle these situations.

Exhausted from all his hard work and all the little wounds on him, Fjolnir hadn't had the vaguest idea that someone else had been nearby. When he suddenly heard a soft, hesitant voice, he hiccuped in surprise and froze completely, turning only his head to the voice of the stranger.
He almost immediately relaxed when he saw her. A girl, beautifully coloured like the night sky. She looked gentle and shy, and not hostile at all. Thank goodness. The last thing he wanted right now was another fight. He exhaled slowly to calm himself down after the sudden surprise, and smiled at the girl at the same time.
"Ah, no, I'm sorry... I didn't know you were there, miss." He couldn't help but laugh quietly in embarrassment as he continued: "I was... Um... Actually... Talking to the pig. Sorry, I know that's pretty weird... I'm usually alone, you see..."

Tunde looked at the lion confused, not that sure of what to think about the male and his talking to the pig, she then paused and giggled, she thought it was pretty funny. She then looked up at him, she was hoping that he wasn't going to get mad at her for giggling, she just thought that it was kind of funny. "Oh." She commented quickly before moving forward a little. "I-I thought you might have been talking to me." she then laughed a little nervously. "I'm mostly alone too."
She then watched the male and looked at the pig, oh god she was so hungry, but he looked like he worked to hard to get the meal, what was she to do. She never liked asking others for things. It made her look bad. She thought it did anyway. She could barely catch the easiest of prey. She managed and ate off scraps often. It did make her look pretty malnourished. She never knew what to think about it to a point. she wanted to ask but she didn't like "well, uh, would you like for me to go some where else?" She asked curiously not sure what else to say, however as she was tlaking the thought of the pig must have really gotten to her. She growled, but it just wasn't any normal growl. It came from very deep inside of her gut, a hunger growl and suddenly she looked down at her paws and laughed a little nervously. It was LOUD, she had a feeling that he had to hear it, it would have been odd for him not to hear it.

Fjolnir felt his skin grow warmer under his fur as the girl first gave him a confused look, and then giggled at him. Yeah, he could have tried to explain himself in a less embarrassing way. He must sound like such a weirdo: I'm so lonely, I talk to dead pigs... He had to laugh at that, himself.
When she mentioned that she was mostly alone, herself, he stopped laughing and looked more carefully at her. She didn't look to be in a very good shape, actually. He had to wonder how far she had walked, and how long she had gone without eating, and just how alone she really was.
She offered to leave, but he couldn't help but notice both the hungry glances she had given to the pig, nor the loud noise that her stomach made, and he quickly rose to his feet, turning to face her more fully.
"Oh no, not at all. I am usually alone, but that doesn't mean I prefer to be," he said, giving her a friendly smile. "Actually," he quickly continued, "I was just telling Mr Pig here that it is a shame that he is far too big for me to eat all by myself. I do hate wasting food... Would you mind maybe helping me make this heavy pile of meat a little lighter?"
He stepped aside, so she wouldn't have to pass right by him to get to the food. "Please, I insist. Food always taste better when it's shared."

Tunde looked at the male really curiously. He seemed nice and that made her happy. She was really glad that the male was happy to offer some food to the female. That made her really happy actually she was. She paused for a moment and watched him curiously. He seemed pretty friendly but to a point she wanted to make sure that he was as friendly as he seemed. He didn't seem to be trying to trick her into this. She hoped he didn't anyway, she was always cautious of others to begin with. She flicked her tail around behind her and waited as she listened. However as he offered her food her ears perked up and she moved forward. She was interested in sharing a meal, she agreed that sharing a meal was much better than eating by herself.
She watched him quietly and carefully waiting for a moment where she could join him with eating if she was going to join him with eating. She moved a little closer to him and then smiled "I would enjoy some joining you for food." She stared at the pig as she got closer to it. "Thank you so much." She the paused and nodded in agreement. "I agree, sharing food with some one makes it always taste better." She mentioned toward the male and then chuckled a little and then flicked her hair out of her eyes and then moved even closer and started to eat some of the meat off of the bone. "This is a very kind gift, I'm not that great at hunting, it's hard to get food some times." She mentioned simply and then nodded at him and smiled brightly to him once again and started to enjoy the food. "I hope that you enjoy a meal with me." she paused for a moment before speaking. "Do you live around here?" She asked curiously. She liked conversation with food when ever she could get the chance.
