I'm not really happy about it... for one, it's really hot.. and nobody in my section talks to me or anything cause they are all older than me. Then, if i do something wrong they yell at me like it's the end of the world. We gotta learn 3 songs and do sets for our half time show.
The first week is from 8 a.m to 2:30 p.m. Blaaah razz I don't wanna deal with people! It's just not fair anymore because our band director has a habit of picking favorites and really doesnt seem too thrilled when he talks to me. And it really sucks if i need help with something and i gotta talk to him...
Well, wish me luck! It's gonna be a long day.

Good luck!
I understand how you feel though. Its around 120 degrees where i am, and it rained last night so hello humidity(today is our first day).
Except, I'm one of the oldest nd I'm treated like that. I'm one of two seniors in my section, and one junior is always trying to make my life miserable. Last year I was treated like a pile of crap someone stepped on outside their front door. And I was supposedly section leader! And fo course, now that the other senior has section leader, they all stop. Although they still don't talk to me much.
A bit of help with the youngest part; When i was a freshman, I'm not kidding when i say I was only one of two who were not seniors. It ws me, another freshman, and four seniors. It was pretty lonely and intimidating. They had all their inside jokes, memories, etc, and all I had was a kid i had never met before, who had apparently been to jail once for stabbing a kid. The seniors only talked current band events with us, as in drill spots and music. A couple of times I heard them talking about me behind my back, about things I was doing wrong. I also got yelled at. A lot.
However, nowadays, I'lll ocassionally see one of them. Me and her can now hold out decent conversation with little awkwardness. Even though i only evr see her once or twice a year.
What I am trying to say is, just try to be friendly, and don't give them a reason to dislike you. Be nice and helpful, and use common sense. Just because they don't talk to you doesn't necessarilly mean they don't like you. They yell at you to make you better. i know it doesn't always seem fair, but its somethign we all ahve to deal with once in a while.
I'm sur you'll be fine, and try to have fun at band camp, although we all hate it.

I'm glad you understand and i just don't sound all whiney and such....XD It's really not fair how we get treated... but it wasn't too bad today, just really hot and miserable. But, we'll see how it goes for the rest of the week and next week. I'm really sorry about what happened with you though sad

I agree with the "wasnt too bad today" part. Event though the new guard tech literally tried to kill us...but the new sl actually invited me and my small group of friends(a freshman and a senior who just moved here) to come sit with her and her group.

Event though the new guard tech literally tried to kill us...but the new sl actually invited me and my small group of friends(a freshman and a senior who just moved here) to come sit with her and her group. Oh well thats good :3 i got extremely sunburnt... my sunscreen was a fail so now i'm all red and sore. XD

Except I've got extremely weird sunburn...vertical stripes on one side, then it looks like i had a bandage on with the other side. Like, a white circle surrounded by burn.
