Upholding Peace and Law In the Overseer's Name
~~~~~~~~~~ Hello there, friends and other friends, and those of you non-members lurking around our public forums! Or as Dumbledore would say: "To our newcomers, welcome! To our old hands - welcome back!" Or, as Fumblemore would say: "Bring me a bucket of water, three feathers, some dirt and two golden apples." ...Well, why are you still sitting here? Get to it!
I jest, my friends, I jest. All in good fun, which is exactly what we're all about! Then again, if you read the homepage in any kind of detail, you'll already know exactly what we're all about. For those who just skimmed it or were too distracted by the pretty chibi image of Stephanie to notice there was even any accompanying text, I might as well say a few words about us.
We were created during the Hallowe'en event of 2009, from a motley and dedicated band of BOOdles who simply didn't want the event to end and to lose all the friends they'd made during it. So we made this guild, a haven for those of us with perhaps little time to come online, or for whom browsing the main forums outside of events is a matter of rubbing sandpaper against one's own eyeballs. What better thing to have than a single place where all of your very dearest internet friends are congregated?
We're anything but an exclusive club, so newbies, have a read of this thread to familiarise yourself and then get to posting! We can't wait to get to know you and feel your buttocks muahaha. We're quite possibly the most individual experience on Gaia, short of some kind of hipster guild that does everything it can to avoid doing anything being done anywhere else, and we hope you enjoy your stay.
Your loving High Priestess and Guild Mistress,  ~~~~~~~~~~Explanation of Individual Forums~~~~~~~~~~
The Temple of the Order: Our forum for roleplays of all kinds. Though we may have an Official Guild Roleplay running at any time, you are not bound to join and can feel free to make your own!Benevolent Tributes: This is the forum for art and writing, art shops and all other such creative endeavours.Righteous Campaigns is a fancy name for where we keep all of our guild event threads, official or unofficial, and also where you can go to discuss things relating to the main Gaia site, items or storyline.Clam Ballot: The forum for all your questions, suggestions and/or loud, whiny criticisms. It's also where you'll find any current opinion polls we have running.The Dossiers: This forum contains threads which detail roleplay characters. Originally created for the official roleplay, but any character threads for other roleplays will be sent here too for safekeeping after a time.The Archives: This is where threads come to rest after they've outlived their purpose. In addition, you can find thread archives of old Announcements, Polls, and the Guild Glossary, a very useful dictionary of terms for newbies and old hats alike, do take a read!And of course, the Main Forum, in which anything goes! Though if a moderator feels your thread might be best suited elsewhere, they might move it, or move it after it's no longer active. This is also the best place for word games and such.~~~~~~~~~~
CRIME & Punishment!
~~~~~~~~~~
You'd think that with such a small, close community of friends, rules would never be broken and nothing bad would ever happen.
Well, I'm afraid that isn't so! And because we are such a small, close community, one person getting uppity messes everything up for everyone else! IT PRACTICALLY DESTROYS THE DELICATE ECOSYSTEM
So here we have an official post on everything (or mostly everything) you need to know about rules, and what will happen if they're broken in the course of things.
There are two main branches of reasons that can merit punishment: 1. Breaching of the official Gaia posting guidelines or terms of service.
2. Bad behaviour.Bad behaviour includes but is not limited to:
1. Flaming or harrassing other guild members within the forum. (If a guild member is harrassing you outside of the guild, please contact a regular Gaia moderator.) Users who cry wolf claiming that other people are harassing them when they clearly aren't may also be punished depending on how much trouble they caused. dramallama - If a heated or nasty argument arises, it's better to walk away from it and contact a moderator than continue to post. All users who perpetuate nasty arguments are liable to be punished from now on.
2. Intentionally disruptive, inflammatory or crude posts in any roleplay in the roleplay forum... or any other forum, for that matter.
3. Interfering with disciplinary measures, the appointing of moderators or arguing with or insulting moderators over their decisions. If asked, a moderator will explain the reasons behind their decision. Pushing them to change it beyond this point is out of line.
4. Plagiarising the work of the guild administrators, moderators or any of the regular members. Breaches of official Gaia posting guidelines or terms of service merits post deletion and a warning. Any further breach, be it posting guidelines/ToS or bad behaviour, merits banning.
Initial bad behaviour merits post deletion. A repeat offence merits a warning. Depending on severity, further offences may merit a second warning followed by banning or banning upon the third offence.
Attempting to coerce a moderator to punish another user will result in a warning.
A moderator may either delete an offending post using the built-in delete function, or erase the content of the post and replace it with:
[Post deleted by moderator.] The content of deleted posts is generally kept on file in case it needs to be reviewed in the future. Warnings may be given in a thread or via PM, similar to bannings. A moderator will usually give the reason for their decision immediately, but a moderator will always explain the reasons for their decision if asked.

Information on Donations
~~~~~~~~~~ As with all other guilds, we don't have much use for donations given through the guild-home Donate button, as we can't use them for anything aside from making new subforums and sending announcements - and we have enough gold to last us for years on that!
Instead, if you want to donate towards future events and competitions (we're distinct in giving markedly gigantic cash prizes of 200,000 gold or more for the jackpot), please send your precious monies to our official Guild Mule, Celeste Marcon. You might have noticed that he tends the Archives and official Polls, too. Like all/most other guild-related accounts, his is manned solely by me and the account is utmostly secure, so you don't have to worry about what'll happen to your hard-earned gold! "Yes, don't worry! I'll take good care of it for you, and then when it's needed I'll use it to buy prizes or commission much-needed art for the guild. Or I might just end up giving it back to you if you win a cash prize in one of our competitions!"If you don't want to give a donation of gold, however, there are plenty of other ways you can support us! We're always looking for willing artists to donate art, such as the lovely picture on the right kindly given by one of our most reliable and sweet oldbies, Odin. Even if your art doesn't get used for its original purpose, it WILL be used somewhere down the line for some purpose or another, just like this one.And if you don't want to donate art, well - being active and posting in the guild is another form of support! So... carry on doing what you're doing - we appreciate it! heart
~~~~~~~~~~Affiliates and Affiliation~~~~~~~~~~           If you'd like to have your shop, guild, roleplay, webcomic or anything else featured here, please PM a banner to Lorika (or otherwise bring her attention to the fact that it exists - she's very willing to do the legwork for you, and will even host the banner image herself). 200x40 pixels (i.e small like the ones above) is the preferred banner size.
A listing of member dA accounts can be found here! Be sure to add yours to the list of wonderful artists! ^ Any of these wonderful banners, made so generously by long-standing friend KaitouKunoichi, can be used to link to us. You can host them yourself, or right-click the image you want and select View Image. This will isolate the image on a page of its own, where you can then snitch the url from the address bar and add it to the code below: The official TBO zOMG clan, The Intelligent Offensive, can be found here!
