Konoha Docks
Although not that large, the Konoha docks see a fair amount of Traffic in and out on their way to ferry passengers from the Land of Fire to the Land of Water. Ninja often book travel as part of a shipping envoy, but on some occasions, they can find smaller ferry boats which are somewhat more comfortable to embark upon as they are made specifically for travelers and have more amenities. Either way however, the docks themselves extend out into the sea, which, once they pass the islands, opens out into the Great Ocean al the way to the Kirigakure Docks.
Along the coast, there are small rocky beaches and a small boardwalk leading up to the docks. Various shops, fishermen supply stores and other stores of sea-faring nature can be found here, and the docks themselves see some regularly high traffic.

Nakaya Shouta

With the weakened Takashi on his shoulders, the also weakened Nakaya leaped between the trees as fluidly as he could He was focusing more on the enviroment than anything else at this point, but he was still alert, keeping his eyes open and watching for any signs of danger. He would not allow the team to fall into harm's way again. Before long, he began to feel a large number of chakra signatures. The docks. he thought as he leaped from the increasingly less dense trees. Finally, he reached a point where the group would be better off walking, and Nakaya safely fell back to the ground, bending his knees, and beginning to limp his tired comrade into the docks. Hasu san, he said as he walked forward. Will we be taking a large ferry? Or will we be better off on smaller ones? It'll be a pretty nice trip, so I think we could get in some good rest on the way across the water. What do you think? As he said this he cast his reddish brown eyes back to look at Hasu's mask.

   Hasu...(Tsukiakari Hikaru - [RPC Profile])Konohagakure | ANBU (ROOT division)Not having bothered to descend to the lower level of the forest once the trees became less dense, Hikaru activated the well known Kinoboro no jutsu technique and continued to leap through the trees one after the other, using the ability to balance himself on the smaller and weaker branches of the forest until he was ahead of the rest of the team. Landing on the ground in front of Nakaya as the young man helped his weakened comrade to the docks. Hearing Nakaya's question, Hasu replied simply to the boy, "I will procure us a boat for passage to Kirigakure. Get Takashi onto the docks and wait for me to catch up to you. Stay out of trouble, talk to no one." Hikaru then immediately picked up his pace before leaping to the top of a nearby building before disappearing over the other side of it, keeping a pace he knew Takashi and Nakaya would not be able to keep up with.
Once on the other side of the building, Hasu landed on the docks to catch a few worried looks from the normal passerbys, but he paid them no heed. As this was not his first trip to Kirigakure as the bearer of messages between the two lover Kages, Hikaru already knew which boat he would choose and walked directly to it's docking point. Luckily for him, the man's boat was on dock and it seemed that the captain was sleeping on the deck.  However, once approaching, the man's right eye seemed to crack open a bit, just enough to catch site of an ANBU stepping onto the railing of his boat, which seemed to be nothing special from the looks of the deck, decrepit even. "An ANBU member... I certainly hope I won't have to get up for this. It'd be a shame to break the peace of my calm day so far."
Hikaru smiled behind the mask, knowing that this disguise would at least confuse Hiashi for a few seconds, but it would only be a matter of time until the man figured out his identity if he wished anyway. Making sure no one was around, Hikaru lifted his mask for a brief second to reveal his smiling face to the man before replacing it back down to guard his identity. "My, my... well I certainly didn't think I'd see you under there little buddy... has Konoha fallen so far as to let miscreant runaways into their ANBU squad? Aren't ANBU supposed to have skills of some renown?" Finding great amusement in the man's heckling, Hikaru dropped down onto the dock of the boat, nearly chipping off a piece of the deck in the process and spoke to his old friend...
"So nice to see you as well Hiashi. As you can see circumstances have required me to more carefully guard my identity within the village and I find that these robes generally do the trick and afford me some interesting options on the side. I'm on a mission from the Hikage and in need of some transportation to Kirigakure. I figured that perhaps you would not mind transporting me and a few Genin I am leading there. You will be appropriately compensated of course." Without even getting up from his seat, Hiashi smiled and responded... 'Heh, a Genin disguised as an ANBU leading a group of Genin to Kirigakure. How could I refuse such an amusing list of passengers. You'll have to pay a bit extra for me to keep that little secret of yours though little buddy. Times being what they are, every little bit helps, ya know?"
The man's snarky grin and the confidence behind his voice might have annoyed others, but it amused Hikaru to no end which is why he always relied on Hiashi for travel to and from Kirigakure. Plus, Hiashi boat offered a lot more then what it looked like on the surface as Hikaru had learned on his first trip with the man and he was completely trust worthy in every way. Laughing at Hiashi's last comment about the extra cost, Hikaru responded simply with "But of course." and hopped off the boat to wait for his team to catch up to him.

Saiyuri remained quiet for much of the journey, keeping her thoughts to herself as she observed the scenery. She kept a link with Takashi incase he needed anything though. There was plenty of thinking to do and questions to mull over, but she intended to save those either for the boat ride or her stay in Kirigakure. In truth, Saiya could not do much their aside from sight see, meet people and learn about the culture. Despite that, she was incredibly excited. Saiyuri had never been this far from the village. Soon the smell of the water was evident in the air, and then the docks were in sight. There were tons of people walking around, all busy in their own way. Saiyuri saw a diverse group of boats, ranging from small canoes to larger passenger boats.
Her mind immediately set off on how they were built, and she tried to pick them apart. She knew enough about buoyancy and fluid pressure to know how the boats stayed atop the water, but it was always wonderful to see it really happening. Saiyuri stayed close to Nakaya and Takashi, following orders down to the last period. Nobody picked a fight with them, or even to offer much more than a smile. When Hasu was finished securing the boat, Saiyuri located him by the feel of his mind's presence. She motioned for Nakaya to follow and headed to the boat. Saiyuri hesitated just before boarding the boat, but then quieted her mind and got on the deck. She located the captain Hiashi with a quick sweep of her eyes, and then gave him a bow before waiting for the rest of the group.
"I'll follow you through Hell and back, level the entire shinobi world, or tear down the sky if you only wish it so."

His breath had grown heavy as he lugged his friend up behind Hasu. He had gave him explicit direction not to talk to anyone, so Nakaya just stood with his friend on his arm. He wasn't in a talking mood, which was good since Takashi was barely conscious. While standing beside Saiyuri, who could probably feel his melancholy mood, he let his mind wander through the history book of a mind he had. He was trying to remember a book he had read not so long before he turned twelve. To him, this was a long time considering the vast amount of reading he does, but he finally came about a title in his head. Sherlock Holmes. A man of great intelligence and great tactlessness. From what he remembered the greatest tool the man ever had was his mind, adn astounding abilities of deduction. He never ever missed a single detail of anything, and because of that rarely was he outdone. Nakaya's lack of this trait had almost costed Takashi his life, and endangered the group. Sure, he saved the life of Saiyuri, but Nakaya still felt even though the group said otherwise that this was a blunder on his part. The logical thinking Nakaya saw this as a problem he needed to solve, and solve it he did.
Nakaya would try his hardest to never let another thing past his senses. Every little detail of every litte thing was now subject to close observation in his head. The first object of Nakaya's new, cunning observatory resolve was the captain of the ship. As Saiyuri had directed, NAkaya pulled along Takashi with no ill will towards him, and looked at the man. The man's attire was remnant of the shinobi he ferried across the water, and his smile and positive disposition towards Hasu suggested the two might have known each other from prior experience. This meant that Hasu trusted him, and though Nakaya had no reason to fear him, inside he would watch carefully to be sure. He got onto the boat first, and then waited for Takashi to get on as well. Once he'd done that, he'd sit him down and bow at the man, smiling weakly, and feeling a bit exhausted. First impressions are everything, as Nakaya knew well.

As the passengers arrived one at a time, Hiashi smiled at each one warmly, sizing them up as they boarded. They all seemed tired by the looks of things, and one seemed almost completely incapacitated seeing as how the other male had to carry him in, and the man looked like he could barely walk. Strangely enough, none of the Genin said anything... a bow or a nod, yes... but not a word of thanks or introduction. "Quite the motley crew you have here little buddy. what happened to that one?" he said pointing at Takashi, "He get out of line on the way over or something?"
Laughing at his own joke, Hiashi's smile remained painted on his face as he waved off the empty stares he received from Hasu and the rest of them and scoffed in an amused way. "Well, either way, you've all made it and we can be off. The trip to Kiri will take some time, feel free to go to the lower deck and find a room for yourselves. Provided you all have your sea legs, you'll have plenty of time to rest before we reach the Land of Water." Motioning them to a door which seemed to be as splintered and creaky as the rest of the boat, Hiashi smiled and motioned toward it, bidding the team of Genin to go down as he began to untie his boat and make preparations to leave.

Everything is decadently laid out and the facility is incredibly clean and well kept... a complete shock compared to what the deck and outside of the boat looks like. Inside each room, is a queen bed furnished with fine linens and a desk with a lamp, which lights up the entirety of the small room easily. You doubt you will have any trouble getting to sleep in what looks like a more comfortable bed then you are used to in your own home.}}

Saiyuri gave a tired smile and thanked Hiashi with a deep head bow. She went over to Takashi and slung one of his arms around her shoulder, acting as his crutch. Saiya helped Takashi descend the steps to the lower level slowly, since he was heavier and this task was not very easy for the physically weak Saiyuri. Her slender arm wrapped around Takashi's side as they made it to the lower deck. When Saiyuri rose her head up and saw the hull, she stopped moving for a second. From what she had seen of boats, none of them were incredibly fancy. When she boarded this particular boat, Saiyuri was already not expecting much, and was utterly flabbergasted at what she had seen. The place was actually clean, something she could really appreciate. Saiyuri smiled to herself as she picked the first door on the left. Again, Saiyuri was shocked. The room was well decorated and stocked, but the bed is what drew her attention. She did her best not to stumble and carried/dragged Takashi to the bed. Saiyuri laid him carefully down, and set to work.
Saiyuri looked at what was left of his shirt and jacket, and sighed. Much of it had been torn from the blast of the grenade, so she just decided to cut it and then remove the pieces. As well, Saiyuri dealt with his pants, leaving him in his shorts. She removed his shoes as well, and placed what was left of his attire in a neat pile. Saiya pumped a little bit of chakra to her hands and proceeded to wash his body. When she finished, Saiyuri tried her best to position him comfortably on the bed while not awakening him. Once he was all tucked in, Saiyuri turned to leave. Before she did, she grabbed his hand and squeezed it once, receding from his sleeping mind. Saiyuri went over to a convenient chair and sat in it, curling her legs under her before resting her head back and relaxing.

Nakaya gave the man a look of gratitude when he invited them down into the boat. He honestly did not expect such a lavish form of living at all. Though he sort of struggled down the stairs and began to feel pain in all of his joints, Nakaya was astounded by what he saw. He watched Saiyuri drag the unconcious Takashi into the room, and stood outside to wait while she cleaned him off. As he stood there waiting the events of the day played in his head over and over again. His own success and shortcomings, Takashi's grand sacrifice, and Saiyuri's struggle as well. Yukigakure was once a thriving,technological marvel in the shinobi world, and all other worlds as well. But just as the Falmer in the books he read, The Elder Scrolls he thinks, they had been defeated and were now vagrants scattered across the land. The one thing Nakaya had to look forward to now were escort missions. With a rise in these bandits all over the place, someone would have to request team Hot PoTaTo eventually. That said, he wondered weather or not he would be getting more mission points for this since an enemy attack, especially one of this magnitude, would certainly be worth more.
He peeked around the corner and saw that she was done, and stepped inside as well. The bed in this room was massive. It was much bigger and softer than the ones in his apartment in Konoha. He couldn't believe how roomy and comfortable this room was. He sat at the foot of the bed and took off his bow. If he were in danger her he could always just blow open the hull. He rolled his neck and felt more than one pop, which was a sign that he was getting tired, and stiff from a lack of physical training. With a yawn, he spoke to his teammate. How is our little dragon? he asked hanging his head and wincing a little.

Saiyuri opened her eyes when the door opened and Nakaya walked in. She followed him as he sat down and removed his equipment. Nakaya was obviously uncomfortable and sore. Saiyuri entered his mind, and spoke as she settled behind him. "I did my best to take care of him." She said as she charged chakra to her finger tips. "Just relax Nakaya..." Saiyuri began to massage Nakaya in certain areas to relieve his physical pain. For awhile shared the night in silence, until Saiyuri finally managed to find what to say. "Nakaya, I really want to thank you...but I do not know what to say." She said, continuing his massage. "I am really glad to have you as a friend, Nakaya." She said, and then focused into her work.

Nakaya gave a bit of a relieved sigh when the girl began her massage. It wasn't hard for him to relax at all, not with the service they offered on this boat. Don't worry about it Sai, he said/ What are friends for and all that jazz. And the feeling is more than mutual my friend. He didn't want to break her focus, but he couldn't help but again let his mind begin to trace over every little detail of what he had seen. If she were still inside, she'd notice him picking key parts to go over again and again, one such part being saving Saiyuri, and the other being when he saw Takashi take the bombs from over head. Takashi was always a reckless idiot. Definitely not the sharpest knife in the box, but also certainly the bluntest hammer as well. And Saiyuri had done well too, even with respect to the fact that she was a medic heart and soul. He was proud of team hot PoTaTo's performance, but he was extremely tired. He appreciated the massage, and it definitely would help him to sleep, but Nakaya needed sleep more than anything. He had to rest up, for with a new land like kiri came anew set of opportunities and new training potential. He turned to Saiyuri and hugged her tight. Go get some rest too super girl. The two of us will be fine, just give us time to rest. he said with a wink, and then got up to walk towards the room across the hall. Once inside of his own room, nakaya yanked off the shirt he had been wearing, and collapsed in the bed atop the blanket and lost in the many pillows. once he was finally fully settled, under the blanket and all of the pillows but one, Nakaya was totally invisible and totally unsconcious.

Saiyuri smiled as she worked, and left Nakaya up to his own devices. She knew how he was feeling right now, they all could have performed better. She sighed and let these thoughts fly out of her head just before Nakaya hugged her tightly. Saiyuri smiled softly and returned the hug in kind, and then nodded her head at him. *Just a quick break...* She said as she sat at the foot of Takashi's bed. But then Saiyuri noticed how soft it was. Before she knew it, Saiyuri had laid back. And then she was sleeping.

In his mind, he wasn't sure how much time had passed, but it seemed like a lifetime. A scene constantly replayed in his head, a replayed and updated version of the raid on his home town. He kept witnessing the multiple fights over and over again, though a light blue hue added into the blood red sky... which was odd, but hey. It wasn't so much a nightmare as it was a reflection. If he was going to be out for a while, best to be productive and understand what you couldn't before. In his case, it was the true sttus of his mentor and father. They were suppose to be dead, killed by falling debris, but only his father's body was found. The exact moment when it happened played multiple times in his mind, trying to take in every detail happening before him when he was younger.
Much later, he felt another presence. It wasn't intruding, but it felt familiar. His body felt... lighter... warmer. The body laying unconscious uncontollably grinned slightly at the feeling of Saiyuri's chakra doing its work on his body. It was almost a good enough feeling to cause him to miss it. The point he'd been waiting for. When he saw it, his body's eyes shot open and, against the protests of his muscles, his body tried to sit up straight. That wasn't going to happen. Then he noticed his surroundings. It was a nice place, but something was off.... he was rocking.... they were in a ship; he could hear the creaks of the vessel.... that wasn't good; he didn't do good with transportation...

The cloak and mask hid everything, emotions, demeanor, everything... and Hikaru was clever enough to make it all work. With his team below, Hikaru took to the wheelhouse where Hiashi sat, looking more relaxed then perhaps a boat captain should as his ship sailed towards Kirigakure in the night. "So little buddy, you gonna tell me whats going on with that get-up? Last I saw, you weren't quite ANBU material."
Hikaru let out a slight chuckle from behind the mask and smiled from behind it, laughing at the correctness of his friend's comment. "You'd be surprised what one can get away with if they're just careful about how their seen. People simply listen to you, and others fear you with nothing but the reputation of a porcelain mask as your guise. I get by, but I miss being myself." Hiashi laughed himself a bit, but leaned to the side to shoot his old friend a glance that showed some concern... "I'm sure you do, who wouldn't. Still, it's quite the risk."
"A calculated one, I assure you." Hikaru said quickly as if to legitimize what would appear to be foolish to the much more experienced ninja. "And, somewhat unfrotuantely, a necessary one as well, as you know." Silence filled the air between the two for some time, only the background noise of the ocean floating them toward their destination lingering behind them. However, Hikaru suddenly broken the silence with a soft, but hopeful question... "Has there been any word of my family?" Hiashi shook his head silently to give the answer the Young prince was looking for, but the lack of information only depressed him further. Here he was, hiding in the midst of a people not his own, separated from his family when they needed him most, yet knowing he had no choice but to stay and grow stronger.
"As expected." The words fell in a defeated tone and left the remainder of the night quiet between the two. Being a man of few words, Hiashi placed a hand on Hikaru's shoulder and turned to tend to the ship to speed it's way to their destination. Wrapping the cloak tightly around him, Hikaru propped his back up against the stern of the wheelhouse where he would sleep the night, confident that Hiashi would not allow his disguise to be revealed. The motion of the ocean was calming to him and the soft noise of the waves quickly brought him into a peaceful sleep as the ship continued across the great sea to their destination.

It took a while, but Takashi finally rolled out of his bed, just to land on his face with a loud thud. He tried standing up, but the swaying of this ship threw off his balance heavily. This wasn't a good sign at all. He and ships, or any kind of transportation really, didn't mix well. If he were sea worthy, he'd have been born with gills. Instead, he had a soul of fire. That alone, fire not mixing with water, made him feel uncomfortable enough as it was. Still, he was too stubborn to give in to something so stupid as this. He grabbed hold of a support beam to help steady himself up and began to inch across his surroundings. This was going to take a while.
